Came in to buy a beach cruiser . The man I assume he was the owner has a personality of a rock . Told him I ride road bikes it like I said nothing . He rushed me through his store I felt he wanted me out . Not the welcome expected from a beach commuted bike shop. He asked his staff to do something the staff looked at him like . You do it . I shouldn't have spent my money there . I told him I loss my house in the Altadena fire . No empathy. I hated the experience. read more

Bought a Trek FX 3 from Mike at Sprocket over the weekend. Excellent experience. Mike was super helpful and very knowledgeable. I didn't feel rushed and he knew his product inside out. Cute spot to get advice or repairs for a bike or to pick out a new one. I'm not quite in the bike buying market yet, but we brought my husband's bike there a few months ago to get a "check up." They said they didn't have any availability (or space) for us to leave the bike then, but we brought it back a few days later with an appointment. The staff was friendly and I feel like the repair prices were fairly reasonable. They have a few parking spots behind the building, fyi. When we picked up the repaired bike (new tires and a new spoke where one had broken) we also wanted to try out some electric bikes. My husband was allowed to hop on one and ride it around the block. I was a little more wary to do that (ugh I haven't ridden a bike in ~15 years) but I did sit on a few. Definitely recommend this place if you're looking to test out some bikes or need something repaired on your existing one. read more

These guys and gals are top notch! I just wish they were closer to mid LA where I live. I was searching for a youth Trek precaliber in 24 inch wheels. For a Christmas 2020 gift for my son. Radioactive Red is a GREAT color and he absolutely loves it! I really hate posting this update since I'm not directly blaming Sprocket Cycles. I bought my Electra eBike in April. I took it to Sprocket for a complimentary tune-up in September. They didn't provide a "loaner" as promised when I made the purchase so i called Uber to pick me up. When I returned to pick up the bike it had a braking problem (which didn't exist when I dropped it off). I brought the bijey back on and they couldn't repair the problem so they ordered a part. It's now been 3 months and no part arrived and my bike is collecting dust in my garage. I complained to Electra. They claimed due to the popularity of eBikes replacement parts are backlogged. Electra said the part I needed would arrive the first week of November. Well that was 6 weeks ago. This is ridiculous and I can only say I'd you're considering an eBike check out reviews first. Knowing what I do know now, I would not of made the purchase from Sprocket. read more

DONT TAKE TOUR BIKE HERE THEY RIP YOU OFF! Took a bike in after having someone rent it and crash it. Couldn't get the derailleurs or brakes right and had a clicking sound coming from the bottom bracket. I took it in and told them about the noise and brake and they said I'd have it back in a day... so three days pass and I finally get a call it's ready with "what do you want us to do to it there's nothing wrong." And I get there and they charge me $99 and the bike feels ok, I ride it a few weeks later when I return from a trip and the noises are all still there. Took it to another bike shop and they said the bottom bracket was bad and that they had stripped the screws for the front derailleur and the rotor was still warped they just opened the brake clamp too much and that's why my brakes were going all the way to the handle bar to barely stop. Very disappointed and waited a couple months to write this because I was so mad about being ripped off after taking the bike to another different bike shop. read more

For the past 12 years I have taken my bikes to be serviced at Sprocket and it would be hard for me to find another bike shop that I could trust like I do these guys. Even when I ride by and have an issue with my bike they help me and give me good advice. It's nice to have a shop that knows your name and bike when you walk in the door. read more

Go here! Great shop! Cool staff! Park in back. Had a issue getting a bottom Breaker bearing out. I beat the heck out of it. Nothing. I took it in to see if they could get it out. I dropped lt off about 1pm that had it done at 5pm. When that called, I could tell in his voice he was chuckling a bit. He said you weren't kidding that thing was stuck! It took all 3 of us to get it out. I said thank you!! When I went to get it, I noticed only 3 people working. That's going the extra mile!! I think most shops should have sent me walking. read more

I cannot say enough good things about the folks at Sprocket Cycles. I have been going there for service on my bikes (road & mountain) exclusively for many years, and have purchased bikes from them as well. Their technical expertise and level of service is outstanding! I just took one of my road bikes in there the other day for several upgrades (including the drivetrain). Ok, so you don't have a size 52 road bike that I wanted to try so you want me to leave- I can't look around? That's the impression I got from Omar, trying to scurry me out of the store- what a jerk. I was looking at a bike that caught my eye and asked the price and he said these wheels are not included and these wheels alone cost $6500. Omar said, "because it's special and it's made out of carbon". I trust Omar represents "Sprocket" of how well versed they are in the road bike industry. I own a size 54, although it fits, it's a tad big for me and a 52 would yield me better-fit options. Yes, Omar, a carbon road bike, and I also have "special" wheels that are made out of "carbon". My 11 year old son out grew his old mtn bike. Mike new exactly what my boy needed and had us in and out of the shop in 10 minutes. The bike was in a box and they had it to build it. I asked how long for them to built it expecting 1.5 days. Mike called me in less than 2-hrs and said it was ready for pickup. Imagine that you are on vacation, riding your bike down to the beach and as you start to pedal, your chain jumps off...inboard....and wraps itself up in your wheel and spokes. You spend 20 minutes messing with it, you are alone and don't know anyone in town. Next, you look for a bike shop...hopefully in walking distance and you find this one. It's 1.5 miles and you have to keep your back tire lifted the entire time. When you get there, they send you to the back and Mike greets you with, "Wow, nice work!" or something like that... He pops your bike on the stand and before you know it the wheel is off and he's gotten the chain aligned. He checks everything carefully, adjusts the derailleur, adds a little air to the tires and gives some instructions. The diagnosis is that the derailleur hanger is bent and needs to be replaced. There are eleventy billion derailleur hangers, for all the different makes and models of bikes. I have ordered 2, his suggestion, "that way you always have a spare" and they'll be waiting for me when I get home. Thanks, Mike, for taking a pretty crappy moment and making it better!!! read more

We recently purchased two Trek e-bikes and are thoroughly satisfied with them. The customer service at Sprocket Cycles is amazing! We came to the shop with some questions and Marc M was helpful and knowledgeable. The icing on the cake was the test ride, and we love the e-bike experience. Service is great. Workers are very friendly. The reason for the four stars is because it's extremely pricey to get your old bikes tuned up or repaired. For the price you pay to tune it out repair, I can just buy another new bike for a TAD more that's all. read more

This is now my go-to place for all things bicycle. We were shopping for a new bike and after an unsuccessful visit to the shop in Hermosa, we made our way down PCH and stopped in here. Bella greeted us immediately and was very knowledgeable and offered great recommendations. She let us take the bikes for a test ride around the block a few times. The color we wanted was at a different facility, but they had it brought to the store the next day. When we went back to pick it up, we were looking for a helmet and Paul was great help in picking one out as well. Overall great experience, great service and they have a good selection of bikes, helmets, and accessories. read more

Established in 2010.

Located on Pacific Coast Highway, in Redondo Beach, California. Owner Paul Che has devoted his life to cycling. He began racing back in 1985, and currently races as a category 1 pro to this day. His passion for the bike runs deep. After years of working on his own bikes and repairing others for friends and clients, Paul dreamt of starting his own shop where he could put that passion to work on a larger scale.

Meet the Business Owner: Paul C.

Paul Che began racing bicycles in 1985 at the age of eight. Since then Paul has not stopped riding his bike. In his early years, Paul got involved with BMX racing where he learned how to handle the bike at high speed while being in close proximity to other riders. When Paul turned 15, he was one of the most talented cyclists in Peru, winning races at the elite level. Paul had a Fourth place at the Junior World Championships in 1992 and soon after, began racing for a Colombian professional cycling team. Also, Paul won several national titles and he participated in several international events in South America and Europe. Paul moved to Los Angeles in 2000 where he worked in one of the largest bike shops in the South bay. After about a year, Paul began racing again and quickly moved up the ranks in Southern California. In 2002 Paul won the Southern California Riders Cup and Manhattan Beach Grand Prix as a Category 3 rider. It didn't take him too long to reach Category 1, where he consis

When I arrived to pick up the bike, I was told the price would actually remain $120 because they had to order "special oil." I was confused since their text clearly stated $89.99 including parts and labor. I also mentioned that I appeared to have been double-charged and tried to show the owner the charge on his phone. He refused to look, checked his computer, and said it showed only one charge and told me to contact my credit card company. Later that day, my son rode his bike and came home after about an hour saying his rear brake wasn't working. He had to slam on his front brake to stop and ended up crashing. He came home with a bruised and scraped knee and a sprained wrist that now requires him to wear a brace for a month. I immediately called the shop and was told to bring the bike back in. The owner said the issue was a "glazed rotor" and that we needed a new rotor. I declined the additional service. What's concerning is that the bike was returned to us with a rear brake that did not function properly. Instead of taking responsibility, the owner accused my son of doing wheelies, which is simply not the case. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. The pricing was inconsistent, concerns about billing were dismissed, and most importantly, the bike was returned in an unsafe condition. I would strongly recommend others double-check their work before riding

During that time, communication was extremely poor. They rarely answer the phone and did not provide updates about the status of the bike, leaving us to repeatedly try to get information ourselves. When we finally picked up the bike, we discovered that something else was now broken that had not been an issue when we brought it in. We called the shop to explain what happened and asked them to look at it, but instead of trying to address the concern, they were dismissive and unwilling to help. What made the experience even worse was the way we were spoken to. The communication was rude and condescending rather than professional or customer-focused. Mistakes and delays happen, but good customer service means communicating with customers and taking their concerns seriously, especially when a bike comes back with a problem it didn't have before. Unfortunately, that was not our experience here. I recommend you take your business elsewhere.

I called the company to put in some angle stops (shut off valves) below my sinks and to carefully…read moreremove my faucet handles for refinishing. I had a whole discussion with the plumber, Ernesto on should he remove the shower faucets too, but because the refinishing would take a while, and the way shower handles work, I'd have to leave the water to the condo off for weeks while the refinishing was done. So we both agreed not worth it. I am mentioning this because we had a detailed conversation on saving the sink faucets. I even told him I'd wrap them in paper carefully when he was done. I then left him to do his work. I came back in and he was whacking away at the handles. I asked him what he was doing and he said it was the only way to remove them. I asked him if they would then be salvageable and he said no. I asked him in a panic why the heck he didn't run this by me. I would've told him not to remove the faucets if he couldn't get them out and salvage them! What he did next blew my mind. He picked up and left. He didn't reconnect the waterlines. He didn't reconnect the angle stop. He left a mess. I called the company and Melissa was very nice to me and listened to my complaints and sent somebody else out to at least give me water by hooking up the angle stops. He showed up was very angry and did bad work. The angle stops did not hold water. I called the company back and nobody answered. Nobody answered today either, a day later. Now I will be filing complaints with the contractor state licensing board, and anybody else that is relevant. Not only did he destroy my faucets, but he broke my sink as visible in the photos and video. I wouldn't call Sal's plumbing ever if you care about the quality of your home. They clearly do not care about their customers and should be put out of business.

I did not want to harm them in anyway and through reserach I found out almost all trappers dispose of the animals.....heartbreaking. I also realized after they were old enough to walk it was time to send them on their way as they always have a backup den close by. The day I called Peter came right out that day and sprayed the horrible male hormone and it got her attention but she was stubborn and Peter left on vacation so then Leo took over.He went back under and sprayed this time took a video of her with her babies and we had to do 4 attempts total to get her to leave, the last night he sprayed for the last time was a little sad I have to say as she pushed the adorable babies out the opening....as they left a coyote showed up and I had to scare him off several times she grab the little ones and pulled them up the tress ...she totally knew how to handle the situation and so did all city....wont hesitate to call on them when needed again!
