He saw to my issue immediately, and after the adjustments were made, I fully expected to at least pay for his time and labor, but to my surprise, they did not charge me a Dime for their service and I was on my way in less than 5 minutes. I left feeling very impressed with the immediate attention to my bike needs as well as for their complimentary service. On today, it was my intention to stop by, but this time for a brake inspection and/or possible service, and again, no disappointments whatsoever. They took my ebike in and diagnosed the issue, and within 30 minutes I was back on the road. These guys are very friendly, honest, knowledgeable, with fast convenient service, and reasonable prices. The beach trail was fantastic. The lady there was really thorough and good about explaining how to use the bike, points of interests and events going on by the beach, and answering our questions. She spoke clearly and at a slower pace so we really understood everything well. The bikes were cruiser-style bikes. They sell e-bikes as well and had many on sale. The bad: They don't have options for kids' seats or trailers. The interesting: There's no age requirement but you have to be at least 4'10" (?) ish or taller to ride their bikes. They'll give you a bike based on your height. You're given a bike lock as well. The basket in the front is stuck to the frame so it doesn't move with the direction of the front wheel. You only need a pedal assist of 1 for the beach because it's flat but it can go all the way up to 9. Helmets are optional.

Last week we dropped off my e-bike for a tune up service. I received my bike 3 days later as promised (2-3 days). The cost was a good value. After my e-bike was serviced it rode better than when it was brand new. The one thing I really don't like is having to leave my bike on the sidewalk. No one is officially tending to the bikes. They're just sitting there. They are a small operation and don't have the proper amount of space. My husband they did secure his e-bike to a parking meter when he dropped his off but he still felt uncomfortable about his bike on the sidewalk. What if someone crashes into it. We sign waivers that release them of responsibility blah blah blah. So we'd be happier if we had our bikes within the safe confines of their bike shop.

I go straight to the The Bike shop in Hermosa Beach and Mohammed is on top of it. He's always super friendly and patient with me and has the job done quickly and typically before the promised time. He's very honest with the repairs and I feel very comfortable taking his advice on what is truly needed and what can be delayed to save some money. He's fixed brakes, replaced brakes, changed out Tires, changed out the suspension fork, changed out pedals just to name a few of the services. We've had done. I have rented from this store in the past and enjoyed the friendliness and quality of the rentals…read more My friend and I recently rented e bikes and we were having a great time. We knew we wouldn't make it back in time to return the bikes within 2 hours. We called and informed the associate that we definitely will be late. We were late by one and a half hours. When we arrived the same person that rented us the bikes was in the store to receive them. We let him know we had a great time and immediately asked what do we owe you? He replied to both of us that don't worry about it, I'm glad you had a good time. We said thank you. We chatted a little and left. 2 days later we both received a text message that was an updated invoice. Not knowing why, we called and it was the same associate that said we were good. We reminded him what he said and he declared he had no memory of that conversation. I replied why didn't you have us pay when we were there? He said I realized you were 2 hours late and it's $40 an hour. That was also inaccurate because we both paid $60 for 2 hours. He then told us that he would reduce it to $20 each person. But why did he wait 2 days and how was he not aware of what time we came back exactly and how long we were actually gone. And why did he not call us immediately instead sending us a text invoice. Very bad business decision. We will not be renting there again nor anyone else I know. He knew we were late and we called him 2 times to let him know. So he should have discussed it when we got there instead of pretending he doesn't remember having that conversation that me and my friend both heard his reply 2 days later. Anyway up till then the customer service was great. We wanted to pay but he never brought it up except to say don't worry about it. Too confusing. As a business owner the best way to solve this issue it to always have the customer sign the rental form upon return and call attention to the customer if there is a balance due instead of waiting 2 days later. Or not even a call from this associate at all. Or just forget about it as it was his mistake. And hope for good return business. We paid the $20 each and we would have happily paid the full amount when we were there. We weren't trying to escape paying but we definitely didn't like the shady way of going about getting money from us.
