I'm a new snowboarder and I had a good experience with Blauer. I'd recommend it to anyone. I went early in December 2024. The shop was empty and I was helped immediately. I hit a bit of misfortune with my boot, the boa lacing system actually broke while I was on the mountain. I fell a lot (likely attributed to inexperience) and actually fell while boarding the ski lift and the boa broke right off. When I went back to the store, the employees were very gracious and gave me a rain check for the next time I visit. They informed me that it's relatively rare for these to break and I believe it. I still had a great time. It was unlucky, but I'm excited for next time. I spent ~$35 for the boots and board and I was at Snow Valley all day. read more

It was very easy and fast go rent here. The people are helpful. Picking up and returning was smooth and quick.

I've rented skis at multiple ski shops before, and this has been by far the WORST shop I have been to. First of all, I am not sure why they have so many staff members when none of them help the customers. Normally at ski shops, the staff will help the customer with the fitment of the ski boots (e.g. measuring their foot for accuracy, helping them tighten the bootstraps, etc.). This place did not provide that service AT ALL. The person who took my boots out just left them on the table without a word. The boots also did not fit me, and when I asked for a size smaller, they gave me a kid's boot and said they didn't have a half-size smaller and did not provide any alternative solution even though the boots did not fit me. Honestly absurd. Will not be returning. read more

Service is great! We spent less than 10 minutes for filling all forms, paying and choosing the right inventory (there was a line though) Ski and boots are in perfect condition! In total it was $60 for 2 people, cheaper than at Snow Valley Resort You can also find gloves, glasses, tire chains inside. Highly recommend! read more

I took my Grandson and his friend Snowboarding at Snow Valley, but rented the equipment from Blauer's in Running Springs. They were friendly, knowledgeable and the process was quick and easy. Unfortunately, about an hour into the day my Grandson fell and dislocated or fractured his collarbone... We returned the equipment to Blauer's and without hassle and/or question they credited the cost of the equipment rental. Again, in this day and age, it is extremely rare to find a businesses that stands behind their commitment to providing consumers with that level of service... Whenever I rent ski's here I feel like the whole process takes forever. Yes, it's probably one of the cheaper places to rent but it still takes 20+ minutes for you to get your rentals even if you make online reservations. Plus, it seems like they always understaff the front area where the cashier is. The last time I rented, I genuinely felt bad for the girl in the front. She was the only one in the front and she was answering phones, checking the rental reservations and ringing people up while the 5 + people people in the back were just standing around. They didn't even bother helping her answer the phone. read more

We were on our way up to the mountain and did not have the proper equipment. We stopped in here because it was one of the first places that we saw and we were not going too high up. Everybody in there were super friendly and welcoming. The guy especially was extremely helpful with me while I was trying to decide on different glove styles for small children who I did not want to bring inside. And overall it was just a super pleasant experience. I didn't look around the store too much although it did seem pretty well appointed because I was in somewhat of a hurry. Price wise I thought things were a little bit expensive but I also don't shop for very much winter wear so it's literally off when I think winter where should cost from like 15 years ago. But if you're heading up the mountain and you need something I would recommend a stop in because excellent service is worth paying for and that's what you get here read more

What can I say, no fuss and muss. One of the easiest and fastest rental experiences I have had renting boards and skis in 10 years of renting. We made reservations before our trip (would recommend a couple of days before because they can run out of gear to rent) and was in and out in about 10 mins tops, this included people using the restroom. Who knows, maybe it was an extremely efficient day but our experience was awesome and will rent from Blauer from now on. read more

This place is the place to go if you value customer service. We were kindly tested by the staff when we returned skis that didn't work out for our younger child. They have us a refund which was much appreciated and a nice surprise as many shops don't care about customer service. We will be back next time we are up there. If you are a novice, I suggest you ask for an unwaxed pair of skis. These were super fast, but much more manageable once they unwaxed them. read more

Last year, we rented from the Big Bear location and had a great experience. We went to Snow Valley yesterday so we rented from the Runnings Springs location and we were so impressed from the check in to picking up the skis and snowboards to returning the equipment. Excellent customer service from beginning to end. We were a big group of 9 people and they got us in and out of there quickly. We reserved all of our equipment online the day before and they had all of the equipment ready when we arrived. I highly recommend both locations for your snow equipment needs! read more

Reserving online was easy. Walking in to check in and receive rental easy. Everything was prepared and handed to me by 8am! Service was great! Even better, I had some troubles with my rental (I am a rather newer skier) and they did an op check on them in front of me then comped me a free rental just to make sure I would be happy with my service. I am very disappointed with this business, especially since it has so many positive reviews. How did they get them, I wonder? The gear they provide is extremely old. The ski boots I rented looked like 15 years old. And they leaked. For the first time I ended up with wet socks after skiing, and it sucked. Skis were OK. But the main disappointment was customer service. I booked the ski package in advance specifically indicating that I need long poles. That was not addressed. Additionally, the whole point of booking in advance is to save time. I had only one day off, so really expected to be in and out on a weekday. Instead, the person who was in the store on Tuesday, 03/12, in the morning, read me a notation that he is not in a rush for anybody and will move at his own pace. There is only one name for such behavior - BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. If anyone from management is reading this, they better to address such attitude towards the customers. Just keep in mind that there are a lot of other rental shops around, and I will bring my money only to those ones where the customers are valued. Definitely will pass this one from now on. read more

My friends and I came here on Wed to rent snowboards, boots and helmets. The cashier greeted us as we walked in and got our names down since we already registered and paid on their website. She was friendly and made small talk. A gentleman then issued us our gear. He kindly instructed us on how to put our gear on and gave some pointers. We were able to get squared away with the tutorial. My friend had to purchase a pair of snowboarding gloves, which the store had plenty in stock. He chose a Gordini that was less than $50. Luckily, the three snowboards (about 5 ft long each) that we rented were just short enough to fit in my 2018 Chevrolet Bolt EV. I had to move the front seat back and lean them against it. We returned the gear with some leftover snow on it, which is expected, as it did not seem like it was a problem for them. This is my go-to rental place whenever my dad need to rent skis or I bring friends to snowboard. It gets crowded during the holidays and parking lot is somewhat small, but service is fast so cars come and go. Employees overall are friendly. The manager makes sure everything goes smoothly and customers are satisfied. Blaurs has 2 locations. This one is good to go to if you're going to snow valley. I went ahead and booked my rental the previous night at 8pm for pickup following morning, but chose big bear location on accident! following morning, i called the big bear location and spoke with Paul, and he let me know that it wouldn't be a problem and that he will call the Running Springs location to have them set it up for me! I come to this location at about 9am and everything is all ready for pick up. there was no line and once i came through the doors, everyone instantly came to our service and was ready to help. the girl at the front desk was friendly, and the guys at the opposite side were so very helpful with the rentals, and understanding might i add! i was having a rough morning coming up the mountain (got a bit - actually very- nauseous with the drive) so i wasn't completely present. i realized i chose the wrong shoe size (6.5) and i asked for a (7) instead and the guy jokingly said "oh you forgot your own shoe size?" and me being out of it, kind of just said "idk". he then said"it's okay i understand, early morning" in a very genuine manner and went ahead and still assisted me in a friendly mood. it definitely lifted my spirits, because i was still not excited for the rest of the drive through the mountain. fast forward to bringing the rentals back, again no line, and easy return. bathroom was clean as well! will definitely be using their services again & thank u to the whole staff for being great! read more

We had an excellent experience renting snowboards and gear. We reserved the night before we wanted to snowboard because we were unsure if the roads would be closed due to snow and rain. It took over an hour to get up the mountain and our rentals were waiting for us when we got here! We tried everything on and made our way to Snow Valley for a day of snowboarding.
