We have a 2023 motorhome that needs work after purchasing it new from Camping World and the service department is garbage 100% garbage! Same day service with a motorhome ?? How perfect. So easy to move these around you know. I took off work to drop it off this morning and now they said I have to pick it up by the end of the day. in the past I've dropped off my other motorhomes here for simple work and they take two weeks to do it. This time I gave $180,000 to Camping World for the motorhome and surprise. Camping World Service ! Take your money somewhere else. Don't give it to Camping World Menifee. read more

These guys are crooks in the service department. I took my rv there to have the generator looked at and fixed. I was told a wire to the generator had gone into the wire harness and it would be $1500 to fix. I discovered they had actually wrapped the wire several times around the fuel filter to make it look like the wire was gone. They deliberately did this. What is even sadder, I had just given the service department a large ventilation fan that was collecting dust in my garage. They were very grateful for that. read more

We recently purchased our first travel trailer here. We had nothing but amazing service from start to finish. We dealt with Doc, who was absolutely awesome and also so good with our squirmy/fussy 1-year-old. Everyone there was pleasant and there was no pushy feelings at all. They helped us figure out what we needed (as first timers, we needed the help) and also steered us away from the things we didn't "need". They could have probably made the sale on more than necessary, but they didn't. They helped us choose the safest options for our family, NOT the priciest, and gave us amazing tips. Rick was so helpful in explaining how everything worked and giving us answers to all our questions during the walkthrough, and had awesome tips/tricks and very informative pointers and was also very pleasant to work with (and very patient with our son, who was being very fussy on that particular day). I forgot the name of who helped me in financing, but she was so kind and patient as well and provided our son with goldfishes when we were filling out paperwork and was also very pleasant- and wasn't at all pushy with extended warranties/etc. She managed to get us a great deal on everything we wanted/needed and nothing we didn't :) Overall everyone was patient and kind, and there was no feeling of pressure at any point during our dealings. They made us a great deal and we left so happy with our decision to deal with them. They genuinely do care and it shows. We will absolutely be returning whenever it is time for us to upgrade/trade-in, and I do recommend them to anyone that may be hesitant. You won't regret doing business with them! read more

Drove 46 miles which ended up being almost 2 hours to get there because traffic was so bad but, thought we were ok because everywhere online says they are open Saturdays until 7pm. All I wanted to do was see a certain make/model that I had seen online. I wasn't buying today, I had narrowed my choices down to two and this was the second one to see and make my decision. It was 6:05 and the doors were open and lights on with cars in the parking lot so we walked in. Immediately we were told "we are closed". I said everywhere online says you are open till 7? Yah we are having problems with our website sorry. I said I've driven two hours all I want to do is see one particular make/model, just can somebody show it to me? Just one particular trailer, I won't take much time. Nope sorry come back tomorrow. But I drove two hours. Sorry come back tomorrow. No I won't be going back because this person was rude the way they spoke to me. They may have actually lost a sale. Oh and prior to getting to their store I accidentally pulled into the RV Supercenter thinking I was at camping world (again not from the area) and the gentleman there named Josh was so nice and friendly and asked could he show me what he had on his lot, he didn't have the one I wanted to see but maybe he had something comparable. And he was closing but took the time to show me around. He knew full well I would be leaving his store to go see my intended trailer but he was pleasant and helpful. He gave me a whole other line to look at online. I may find something and end up buying from Josh. Its great having Camping World close by now. We purchased a air force 1 tow hitch package from Camping world and had sun city store do the install. I am very very picky who works on my coach and vehicles and I was assured that the service dept would take care of both vehicles for the install. We dropped the coach and jeep off on Tuesday morning and by noon we were able to pick the coach up, the jeep which was getting the major part of the install was ready this morning. We were asked to bring the coach back today so they can show us how to hook up and use the system.i did a check of my vehicle (jeep) to see how he did the install and make sure it was neat and secure,I must say they did a FANTASTIC job and were extremely informative about the system and how to use it. From the service writer to the service manager that did the install, great job!! If Camping world takes this type of care for all services , I would highly recommend your store, plus there is a cool area to shop for supplies. The only thing left to fix now would be the AC in the service dept area !!! Super hot in there. Thanks again for the great work. read more

took a month and a half to get seen, dropped off my travel trailer twice because of the service advisors who was helping me quit. So I called a week later and found this out so I had to drop off again, I got seen by another service advisor and I won't say his name but anyway I walked him through should him my problems should him what my main concern was Which was a leak behind the toilet. I picked it back up he said it'll take about 10 to 20 days for warranty to approve and that he will call. I waited a month I believe almost two months and he still hadn't called I had to him. then he says we never spoke about the leak or I never showed him which of course he wouldn't remember because he didn't even remember to call me. But he said we will walk through again so I can show him so when I dropped it off a third time I clearly showed him that the back of the toilet was leaking I even grabbed the hose and showed him my hand was wet. i went in with six problems they fixed 3 one they half fixed they did a sloppy Job. My main concern which I explained to him was the leak didnt get fixed I had to go and tell them hey i Know you can't duplicate the problem but I've showed and told your service advisor to run the water and even if not he's seen it with his own eyes. overall bad service guy bad attitude I live close to this camping world which sucks because now I have to take it to riverside. read more

What was the difference between these two kinds of batteries she said it's right there on the batteries, but she made no effort to tell or show me. So I left with disappointment. TLDR: These guys employ very unethical business practices and are the ultimate in shady used card salesmen. My wife and I wanted to get into RVing and were completely naïve as to what to look for. We weren't sure if we wanted a motorhome or a pull behind RV. We look at a few different place and private ads on FB Marketplace. We decide to check out Camping World one Saturday. Our initial salesperson was Lisa and she was great. She handed us off to John because he was more experienced. John said he had the perfect camper for us and showed us a 2005 Monaco Cayman. It seemed like it could be what we were looking for. So, being as naïve as we were, we agreed to a price of $68,000 out the door (taxes, fees, registration, etc). We placed a $1000 deposit to hold the RV that would be contingent on a test drive since they were doing work on a slide out. Later that evening I think to ask what the percentage rate is they're giving us. 10.99%!!!!!! So I say no, that's ridiculous. John convinces me to come back the next day and take it out for a test drive. So I, my wife and father-in-law go out on a test drive. One of the first things I noticed is that the speedometer isn't working. I drive it to my house on surface streets. Everything seems fine besides the speedometer. On the way back I ask if we can get on the freeway. And that's when things really went sideways. The motorhome couldn't get above what felt like 40 MPH, even with the gas pressed all the way to the floorboard. All traffic was blowing by us. John the sales guy didn't know what was going on and he couldn't get anyone on the horn that new what might be happening. So, what did this tell me? They hadn't even test drove this used RV that they had bought off someone!!!!! Now that's super shady. We get back to the dealership and the GM has run my wife's credit and we couldn't get the amount financed that we wanted because the coach was so old. They would finance a total of $30,000 and we needed $37,000. The GM said he was willing to waive that $7000. Us being so naiive thought that was a good deal. Well, a day later when we're looking for insurance for the coach through goodsam.com, we find its actual valuation. $32,000!!! Now I know dealerships have to make money on used vehicles, but they were initially trying to take us for $36,000 above it's market value! A couple of days later we decided to pull the plug and get our $1000 deposit back. That was over three weeks ago. I called finance and left voicemails, texted the two salesman all to no refund. Today, Wednesday, 9/6/23, I threatened them with calling the DMV and filing a complaint with their investigations department. They go right on the phone with me and refunded my deposit back to my debit card. We ended up buying a pull behind Surveyor from Giant RV down the road in Murrieta. I highly recommend them. They've been nothing but upfront and honest with us. I would never go back to Camping World. read more

The guy (Ken) showing me the trailer I was purchasing seemed inconvenienced by the final tour he was giving of the trailer. They spent more time trying to sell me a way overpriced warranty package. After signing paperwork no one came around to ensure everything was going well or simply ask if we were comfortable with the hitching process. There was NO customer service NO congratulations, a simple thank you for your business would have been nice. I was left to wonder on my own to conduct my final inspection. During the hitching process the tongue jack gave out, again left to figure it out on my own with no one to be found. Thankfully the technician was the one to spot us struggling and assisted with the replacement. Where was management or my sale rep assigned to me to ensure everything was ok? We now have no trailer, a month of vacations cancelled and they are expecting a 6 week repair time for a brand new trailer. Probably the worst experience I've had buying anything. First of they were able to convince me to go with an 05 RV rather than the 2018 or newer travel trailer, hyped up the RV like it was the best deal ever. They said the microwave didn't work along with many other issues and said they would fix the microwave in writing still have the paper. Never did, I've been calling and calling for almost a year with no solution. Then when I tried to just sell the rv back they wanted to offer almost $15k less than what they sold it to me for. This place is just money hungry and they don't actually care about anything other than filling up their pockets with peoples money. Never again. My wife and I love Camping World. We bought our RV from the Santa Clarita location and have purchased numerous items on-line because of the variety, price, and ease of having them delivered. Yesterday the valve on our water heater broke. We have been able to repair several things ourselves and this too looked like an easy job but we needed the part. While out doing some shopping today we noticed that one of the places we had looked at RV's before we were ready to buy had rebranded to a Camping World. Since our prior experience there had been pleasant, thought I would stop in and see if they had the part I needed. The service I received from Lisa and Davon was exceptional!! The part was difficult to find but they did not give up and found it for me. Considering that good service is hard to find these days, these two were a breath of fresh air. They could have easily given up on the little part I needed but they did not and I very much appreciate that. I will go out of my way to this location the next time I need something and also when I am ready to upgrade to a fifth wheel. read more

This review is only based on the experience I had with him, Lisa, in finance, , Kristopher in the merch area, the front desk with Kim. Do not get me wrong everybody's out there to make a sale. Everyone is out there to create a quota. These individuals just helped they went above and beyond to answer questions. Just as Kristopher did with my wife of picking every little item he could to put in the shopping cart.(lol) I truly would have left without purchasing much of the necessities I needed and not items that could've been done without. Purchased a TT from them in May and have yet to receive the registration/license plates which have since expired. DMV says paperwork hasn't even been started to transfer into my name. Finance was somehow able to cause 5 HARD INQUIRIES to my credit. Trailer has had nothing but issues. The hitch they installed was the wrong size and not equipped to handle the weight of my TT, we ended up having issues and had to purchase a new hitch. The sales people will try to talk you into anything they have in stock just to get a sale under their belts for the month. I dropped off my Jayco Travel Trailer for service approximately one month ago for them to evaluate a few issues I saw arise. One of them was the hot water heater that was no longer working. I had already done some research and learned it was most likely the control board that needed to be replaced, which takes maybe 10 minutes max to confirm through use of multimeter. I was charged for one hour of service to "diagnose" a problem that takes 10 minutes, which I was charged 199.99 for. and that wasn't even to fix the problem. To fix it, they wanted to upcharge on the control board itself and then charge me another half hour worth of service at 99.99. Interesting they would charge 199.99 to "diagnose" and half the price to actually fix the issue. Aside from the water heater was the slide-out, which I asked to be looked at since the fascia inside the trailer seemed a bit uneven when fully open. I showed the service advisor what I meant upon dropping off. Once again, they charged me another hour worth of service at 199.99 to "diagnose" and added in the notes that the issue could not be replicated even though the service advisor watched it with me when I demonstrated it when dropped off unit. The notes on the after action say they attempted to open and close the slide several times and it was normal operation. I find it hard to believe it took an HOUR to open and close the slide a few times and come to conclusion it was "normal" and could not replicate. They recommended the slide out service to clean and lubricate, which they wanted to charge an additional two hours of service for 400.00!!!! The prices are beyond ridiculous and the time allotted or allegedly used that were billed to me are absolutely unreasonable for what they claimed to have been done, with still no fix!!! I spoke with the employee who was rude and unable to explain why I was charged the unreasonable amount of time and could only say, "well, you signed for the estimate given at drop off." Well, news flash....sometimes estimates are not correct. It's clear from notes and what was done that this is absolutely an overcharge and seems like unethical business practice. I will not be bringing my unit back here for service and will be doing the work myself or at another business that treats its customers right. BEWARE of taking your unit here for service, you will be overcharged! read more

So glad we did a u turn to come check out what Camping world has to offer. We were browsing for a 5th wheel originally at a place down the street but decided to stop by because of the huge selection of RVs you can see from the road. We were helped by Lisa originally she was right on track as to finding what we were looking for. Lisa was called away to help a return customer from the night before and we were introduced to Gunny. Gunny is very knowledgeable and showed us the remaining used and some new 5th wheels on the lot that could possibly meet our needs . We were looking for something used and with a "mid-bunk" and "opposing slides" as I learned. However the one we liked was already pending a sale. This was our 1st outing to explore RV to what we are considering to be our full time living situation. If we decide to go this direction I know exactly who we will be returning to. This place is a total joke and I hope Camping Word Corporate reads this. First of all you inquire on a RV and make a appointment to look at the RV, you drive a hour and half to get to Camping World and take 3 hours off of work to accommodate the salesperson's schedule. You show up to your scheduled appointment and there are red ropes to herd you like cattle to an angry receptionist, she wants you to check in and wants your ID. I'm not a stubborn person but don't need a attitude from someone and feel like I don't need to give my information and ID to look at a RV, I'm not visiting someone at a correctional facility. If this is your company policy you probably need to change it and hire more friendly people. There is a RV dealer north of Camping World on the other side of KFC called RV Supercenter that was happy to take my business and money for a RV. read more

Purchased a trailer at this location when it was Richardson's RV. 9 months later, Tony, the service advisor claims that the roof is peeling and needs to be replaced when we brought the trailer in for an unrelated repair. That experience was a fiasco. Several months with no communication and no repairs, one missed trip and another coming up, we demanded that the trailer be returned to us in usable condition. On the day we were supposed to leave, the trailer wasn't finished. We arrived as the technicians were frantically finishing the repairs. While we were checking out, Tony walks in and advises that an accident occurred and a 12" gash was ripped in the middle of the floor in the main living area. A quick and ugly repair was done, and we drove the trailer off for our trip, assuming we are done with the issues. Based on the fiasco with the floor, I didn't think to closely inspect the roof before leaving. My husband noticed a small area with a line of sealant near the AC unit, but assumed it was part of the install process. Fast forward 18 months and there is a leak in the trailer. We make an appointment (6 weeks later) and Tony is once again our advisor. He climbs on the roof and mentions there is a large gash in the roof. My husband and son climb up to inspect, and there is a large gash that has sealant all the way around it-the same place where there used to be a thin line. There are also some nails or staples in the roof, under where the membrane covered until it separated. After two weeks, the manager from Camping World finally returns our calls and says there is no way his mechanics did that, and you need to file an insurance claim. Our insurance adjuster sent a letter stating the issue was caused by a faulty repair, and they won't cover it. Camping World's corporate customer service is now denying the claim saying that their third-party inspector insists that a technician would never repair a roof that way, and we have to come out of pocket for the repair. My trailer has never been to any other shop, and the repair was done by their technicians, as this was a warranty job and the roof was covered for any damage that we did. I wouldn't have taken it to them except that this was a repair they did that was failing! They are staying its my word against theirs, and they don't accept liability for the damage. After speaking to several other shops and a couple of insurance adjusters, this seems to be the standard at this location. Their customer service team said they verified with a third party that repairs aren't done that way, but also said if the damage had been reported sooner, they might help me... I didn't notice the damage until the repair failed and the roof leaked. But if I'd noticed sooner you'd take care of it? Seems odd. I will be pursuing legal action, but I recommend anyone who needs repairs done for their RV or trailer to stay very far away from Camping World, or you'll probably have to sue them too! read more

super unhappy with the level of service from the service dept sandra garica i have taken my coach in to get some jacks added after purchace of a new unit when dealing with the service advisor she will not call back or email back with updates. so i have to go in and see whats going on with my unit when i show up i find out it's done but yet still no call. so i talk to advisor and she says can you pick up i said yes and could be back in a hour or so she said she would have it ready for pick up i came back in about a hour and ten mins to no coach waiting so i stood around for another 40 mins waiting for it when it does show up i asked if someone could show how the new jack system works im told insturctions are on line but here is a paper copy to learn it... wow i have never been to a worst service dept than this. such a bummer that this is the level of service a customer gets after buying a 180k new coach read more

Took my Grand Design 293RES in for repairs of damaged subfloor due to water intrusion from slide. Estimate came back at over $10,000. The damaged area (soft spot in floor) was about 2 ft X 4 ft. Explanation of repairs needed was to remove cabinets sitting on top of the flooring, remove trim around the slide, peel back the linolem to replace subfloor, and on the outside remove the underside protective covering, cut a hole in the insulation on the underside of the floor so support could be added while the floor inside the RV was removed and replaced. This doesn't make sense, when manufactured the frame is assembled and subfloor (plywood) is laid down, secured to the frame and the linoleum is placed on top of the subfloor. I'm a DIY guy, not an RV repair expert by any means, but I have done a lot of research and understand how flooring system in RV's are manufactured. Common sense tell me there is no need to remove the bottom cover, cut a hole in the insulation so the floor could be supported. while repairs are made. If I'm wrong please respond and let me know why. I just really feel that Camping World was ripping me off by proposing to do a lot of work that is not needed. read more
