Purchased a camper trailer on clearance in April back in 2023. We have had many issues with the camper. The first time we took it out, all the batteries were dead and we brought it into the shop. All they did was charge it. Next time we took it out, the battery was also dead again. When they did an initial inspection, they found nothing wrong with the rv. We finally called to service the rv in July after we were unable to get power to the rv through a power outlet. Something was drawing all the power out. Turns out there was an issue with the electrical system. Seems like the initial inspection they did was not thorough. Luckily it was going to be covered by manufacturer warranty but it took over 2 months to get the warranty to be approved and for all the repairs to be done. By the time it was finished, it was already September and almost time to winterize the rv. It really foiled our plans. The customer service is deceiving. They were friendly and helpful until after we purchased the rv. They don't really care after the sale was done. It was also our first ever rv purchase so this left a negative impact on our whole rv experience. read more

Overall the customer service was kind and getting driven around was a bonus but they will not let you look around alone. Definitely felt like we had to dodge scams and we heard a lot of half truths. Get your own financing, your own inspection and do not pay asking price and you'll be better off. We ended up going private party after we realized how misleading they were. read more

We went in to the Burlington store looking for a new RV. Our Salesman Jathan showed us some new RV's and a 3 year old used trailer. The used one was the one we liked the best and bought it. The price was fair and when we picked it up, the service was excellent. The RV was inspected to make sure everything was working. The person that was there to show us that everything in the trailer was working and explained everything as to its use and how it worked. That was an hour and half that it took to make sure we were comfortable with the purchase. We have had several RV's and thought we knew everything, but learned a lot more. When it comes to customer service satisfaction with the service departments charges to send a mobile tech to your trailer I'd rate camping world with a -1 ! They charged me $200 to send a mobile tech to diagnose my problem, which was a backed up clog in my grey tank, and then a $50 deductible off my extended warranty to tell me they couldn't do anything to help me with my problem. The nice tech did suggest I call a septic service company to suck out my grey tank, which I did and my problem was solved! The next day I received a message from Camping World that they had to charge my card $173.93 more for the " diagnostic charge" and said " so sorry "!!! I called customer service at Camping World and complained about the " extra charge " and the nice customer service rep explained all the charges to me and again said " so sorry". Well I am sorry I ever bothered to call Camping World as their policy seems to be " we will charge you too much to do nothing for you ! I will never do business with Camping World again and would not recommend them to anyone. read more

We just purchased a new RV from the Burlington WA store location and had such a great experience with Ernest Jackson as our salesman. He was always attentive and his enthusiasm was off the charts. He even took the time to do a video walkthrough of our RV that I could review again and again as I was trying to remember all of the features our unit had while we went through the purchase process. I swore I would never go back here after buying and then servicing my trailer years ago... but for convenience I went to pick up a sewer support line yesterday at opening. Was on sale for 27.88.... until I went to check out and it was 34.99. I informed that it was on sale... they went and checked and said, "someone forgot to put the tag last night as sale ended. They did not give me the sale price." Really????? Thought it was the last straw before, but that does it for them, never stepping foot in this place again. read more

We looked at a Coachman Beyond at CW in Burlington a few weeks ago, and then called, texted and emailed for additional information, including an inspection report. Other than the basic info eg year, mileage and model, neither our salesman or the manager would share inspection information, which seemed super suspicious and unprofessional. Clearly most folks won't buy a vehicle without this, so we weren't sure if they incompetent, trying to hide something about the Beyond, or if CW doesn't inspect the used vehicles they sell. A quick stop by to dump our holding tanks. Very quick and simple. Dump station is behind the building. They've even left a drain hose for easy hookup. We were in and out within ten minutes. The store itself was clean and organized with the same layout as other camping world facilities. read more

Marty Wells was our salesperson and he did an awesome job - he knew our budget and exactly what we needed for our cross country move and we were shown just what we were looking for. This is the 5th RV we have bought over the years and this was the best buying experience we have had. We worked with Shannon on the financial end and again it was a very good experience. Very easy. Camping world repaired my travel trailer undercarriage after a tire blowout. It was handled through insurance. They were very prompt, professional, and responsive. They did a good fix on it and a reasonable amount of time and while they had it apart they found something else that was wrong and they were able to fix that for me, while it was already disassembled and a very reasonable price. The service writer was technically savvy when discussing things. I walked away happy with the experience. read more

Although their store nice, convenient, lots of nice products. It is all a scam! We thought things that were on sale were a pretty good deal. We loaded our cart with some roof vent covers, a new camp table etc. When we get to the counter we are explained to that now we have to purchase a Good Sam membership to get the deals! Well this is my second review. Have had my trailer for about 3 months. My husband was washing the trailer and noticed the tires looked a little weather checked. We went to Les Schwab and Discount Tires and they both said the tires are shot. So that $1000 I paid Camping World for the required inspection was obviously a waste of money. We had to buy new tires. I'm writing again concerning my many visits to the Camping World in Burlington, WA. This time to commend the retail people for doing a consistently good job at the register. Of course, I never took issue with the retail end of Camping world. They just...are better now than back in 2017 (in my opinion). Gave an extra star! Have yet to bring my new 2018 5th Wheel RV trailer into the Service end of C/W but it takes time to remove the bad taste from someone's mouth when they have experienced poor service due to employees who misrepresent the company by poor service, wrong information or pure laziness. We bought a 2021 Forest River Sandpiper and had numerous issues and recalls the last being a fire hazard due to several off lot water leaks and poor and unsafe installation by Forest River. They don't tell you that you have to dismantle your RV to make sure it's safe! Our warranty is expiring and we still have NO AC, a Refrigerator with a faulty installation (no seal), several recalls and a 55k bill. On top of all that their Service department is a bunch of incompetent rude trolls that even I refuse to deal with. If you want a Deathtrap and no warranty service buy from these guys. After what I have learned about RV laws and manufacturers I'll never buy another RV. Still thinking of risking your life and the lives of you're family buying an RV from these people? read more

My sales agent was Philip nice I explained to my family situation that I was looking to buy a trailer and live in it full time when I went to pick up the trailer on the 2nd of September and went through the stuff with the financial officer I started the interject about that charge for $3,500 for Good Sam and as I was about to explain to him what I told Philip was I didn't want this he interjected and cut me off and told me if I get caught living in it it would revoke my loan and this was per the financial guy named Sean so I shut my mouth and I ate it now I'm getting stuff from Good Sam for fees that are due when I never wanted the service to begin with so I'm not happy with camping world. If it was waiting time for a safe appointment during COVID, that would be understandable. This location is horrible for customer service. Period. I spoke with Lynn and she 1. did not return calls so I had to call several times, then 2. she did not review the email I sent to her in response to her requests, and 3. after leaving her messages that clearly she did not listen to, and after over a month of going back and forth, she sent me over to Rocky because she "doesn't handle insurance claims." This is AFTER I told her more than once in messages that this was an insurance claim. And 4. she provided him with the wrong phone number. So, Now, I've been dealing with Rocky. NO IMPROVEMENT OVER LYNN. He took my insurance information and assured me he would speak with insurance and get back to me within 2 days. It's been 2 weeks! I've called and left messages and no call back. Zero stars is too many. I understand they are busy. So are a lot of us. But that is NO EXCUSE for despicable customer service. Nothing happened, it just sat there. I got tired of waiting so I went and picked it up, come to find out my key no longer works because it looks like someone tried to pick the lock. finally got a storage compartment open to get my power cord and guess what, it's gone! Wish we would have read these reviews before we went to Camping World. Alas, we did not and our experience echos many of the other 1 star reviews. My spouse and I went to Camping World on a Sunday to look at campers. Our salesman was named Heiner. He showed us some campers and began emailing each other over the next few days. Long story short: we let Heiner know which camper we wanted and applied with OUR bank for the RV loan. Once Heiner realized we were not going to finance with them, he sold the RV out from under us. Now we have a hit on our credit for a loan we will not be using. This establishment is lazy, pushy, and down right shady. I purchased a 2021 5th wheel about a month ago. Not an inexpensive purchase either. Great service..while they sell you something. As a new RV owner I've had some questions, concerns. Don't bother calling for help because once you drive your rig off the lot they couldn't care less about customer service. I called a couple times about some minor things, left message, no return call. Ok, figured out most of my concerns via Utube videos. But when I had a real issue and needed help I was more persistent. On the second call today, 3 hours later without call back, I was told I would receive an email to set up an appointment..really? No human can answer the phone and help walk me through something? Apparently not. While my fifth wheel has wheels, I don't need to bring it in to troubleshoot something that could have been taken care of over the phone. I was told they had a bad reputation, sadly after my purchase. Well, my friends were right! They suck. Would never recommend purchasing an RV from them. read more

My first time EVER shopping with this company and I just can't shake how this lady treated me at checkout. She talked me into a membership without telling me it was $29. We went through an entire setup process where she scanned a membership code, and was ready for my debit card. If it weren't for me paying attention to what I was paying for she would've made the sale. I deeply dislike when people cheat their way into getting things from people. Be honest. There's zero reason why this lady should've done that to me and then proceeded to treat me like I just wasted her time. My husband wrote this and I'm sharing it. It started with a call to Costco inquiring about 5th wheels. They mentioned Camping World offers Costco pricing and they'd have a representative call me. Mitch (James Mitchell) from Camping World in Burlington, WA called me and we discussed what my wife and I were looking for. I emailed him a list of 16 different 5th wheels we wanted to see. At that time, he confirmed he had 3 in stock on our list. In late August we attempted to visit Camping World in Burlington but weren't able to make it due to horrendous traffic. Early in September, we called Mitch and confirmed we were coming up and would be there around 1 PM. I was very specific on the phone and explained we were coming up to look at the three 5th wheels he said he had in stock and that we had limited time because we had plans that evening. On our way up we ran into traffic again. I phoned Mitch and told him we would be about 35 minutes late and that we'd call back again with an update. Ten minutes before we arrived I called his cell phone and left a voicemail. When we arrived, Mitch was nowhere to be found, nor was he answering his phone or responding to texts. Then, we called the main store number and asked if they could locate Mitch. They did and he called me. There are several buildings on the grounds and he seemed confused about where we were. After a lot of confusion and wasted time, we finally found Mitch. He seemed out of sorts, frazzled and extremely unprepared. We expected him to be ready to show us the three 5th wheels he said he had in stock but he actually asked me what I wanted to see. I asked him if he had the email I sent with the units I wanted to see. He answered no, and would I please pull up the email on my phone. Really? Wow. I reminded him that I had actually sent a Google sheet I had made with the model numbers we were interested in and that he never actually listed the three units back to me. He just said they have three in stock that were on my list. He said I was wrong and that he did email me back with the three models. I couldn't find any email like that, but he was sure he was right, so he went back to his office to find that email. He couldn't, of course, and claimed that his memory wasn't what it used to be. Really? Wow. More time wasted. So I pulled up the spreadsheet on my phone with some trouble due to cell coverage and we scrolled through my tiny screen. I asked him which of the 15 I had listed on were the three he had in stock. He didn't know, but he said we would need a golf cart to find them, so he ran off to get one and was gone for another 5 minutes. More time wasted. Then he drove us about 30 feet to a model that was not one of the units I listed. Correct brand, but wrong model. I started looking around for hidden cameras because I suspected we were on some sort of candid camera show. He took us to another one that was not on our list. He went back in the office to get something, which burned another 5 minutes. When he came back out, I asked if he had an inventory list he could print so we could compare that with my list. He said they didn't have anything like that and they sold dozens of units per day so they never know what is on the lot. Really? Wow. I asked again if he had any of the 3 units he claimed to have. He had me read the list again. He then pulled out some crumpled papers and lo and behold - there was the inventory list he said didn't exist. He drove us to a model that WAS on our list, but it had already been sold. My wife told him he should have mentioned that it was sold before we drove all the way up there in traffic. Then, he said he was "done" and wouldn't keep working with us. Really? Wow. My wife went to get the car and he then told me he was a Christian and knew we were too and that we should not talk to him like this. Unprofessional and inappropriate to mention religion. I asked him what she had said that offended him and he repeated back words that never came out of her mouth - even adding that she called him a liar. I reminded him of the actual words that did come out of her mouth and that liar was certainly not one of them. He agreed, but then claimed that it was the "tone" she used that was inappropriate. Really? Wow. We were both frustrated at this point because felt he wasn't prepared and he had wasted our time. This was the single worst salesperson experience we have ever had. We have never met someone so incompetent, unprepared, unprofessional and defensive as Mitch. We will never go back to ANY Camping World ever. With heavy traffic back down to Kirkland, it was a total waste of nearly an entire day. If Mitch is any indication of the quality of salespeople there, you should run far away - screaming - from Camping World! *DO NOT BUY TRAILER HERE* I promise you will regret it. We purchased a brand new 2021 travel trailer here in December. When we went to pick up and pay for our trailer we were told that the awning fabric was in need of repair and that it would be about 3 weeks. We took the trailer home with the understanding and in writing that they would replace it. Fast forward to what is now April. They still have our trailer. We have not used it. We are making payments on it. The staff will continue to lie about where the fabric is what has happened to the said fabric. We have been told so many lies about when we can pick our trailer up. They will say that it's being repaired, that's it's almost done, you can come next week and pick it up etc... All lies. We don't even know if our trailer even exists anymore. They could have sold it to another poor sap for all we know. Husband wants to hire an attorney. Also wants me to stand out front with the kids and a sign to warn other unsuspecting families to stay away. $35,000 later and no trailer, no camping. Our fist ever trailer purchase and it's been a complete nightmare. On the bright side, the staff is super nice and trained so well they will make you feel like somethings being done while lying to your face. I bet they all laughed at us and high fived each other after they sold it to us. We are now one of those people who can't even refer our friends and family or say anything nice about our purchase. We also now feel like we have no where to go for future repairs should we ever get our trailer back.
