*DO NOT BUY TRAILER HERE* I promise you will regret it. We purchased a brand new 2021 travel trailer here in December. When we went to pick up and pay for our trailer we were told that the awning fabric was in need of repair and that it would be about 3 weeks. We took the trailer home with the understanding and in writing that they would replace it. Fast forward to what is now April. They still have our trailer. We have not used it. We are making payments on it. The staff will continue to lie about where the fabric is what has happened to the said fabric. We have been told so many lies about when we can pick our trailer up. They will say that it's being repaired, that's it's almost done, you can come next week and pick it up etc... All lies. We don't even know if our trailer even exists anymore. They could have sold it to another poor sap for all we know. Husband wants to hire an attorney. Also wants me to stand out front with the kids and a sign to warn other unsuspecting families to stay away. $35,000 later and no trailer, no camping. Our fist ever trailer purchase and it's been a complete nightmare. On the bright side, the staff is super nice and trained so well they will make you feel like somethings being done while lying to your face. I bet they all laughed at us and high fived each other after they sold it to us. We are now one of those people who can't even refer our friends and family or say anything nice about our purchase. We also now feel like we have no where to go for future repairs should we ever get our trailer back. Stopped in to pick up a new water filter and a new awning clip. Store is pretty self explanatory, pretty easy to find things. Most of the time. This time I looked in a few different spots for the awning clip, couldn't find it. Went to parts and service and asked. She led me right to them. Check out as usual, was pretty slow. It's nice that the cashier wants to chat but when there are multiple people in line, and only one line, it can get frustrating. Not my favorite store, prices are pretty high as they do seem to have the monopoly on rv parts in this area. read more

This review is for the service department. I purchased a new fifth wheel RV from a Camping World in California, and am currently in WA for work and living in the RV. After a bad experience with customer service at the CA dealership, I was hopeful that it might be better here in WA where everyone is so nice. The reviews of this particular location also appeared at least a little better. No such luck here. I had a dead converter, which is an item covered by warranty. This is also a common item to fail and an easy thing to remove yourself. So i made some calls and was told i could just remove the problem converter myself and bring it to the service department, rather than dragging the whole camper there for them to do it. Frank in service was initially pretty personable and helpful. He said it would be about a 7 to 10 day lead time to get a replacement from Forest River, the manufacturer of my camper. So 10 days go by and I call to check on a time frame. I leave Frank a voicemail which he doesn't return. Thinking it's the holidays and maybe he is off, I call back again on day 14 and find that he's been there all along and he tells he can't replace my converter because there's nothing wrong with it. We go back and forth on why it won't work in my trailer but does work in his store, but the larger point is the fact that no one called to tell me. His explanation is that he had been sick. He admits he's been in the office but offers no apology. So I drive the hour up to pick up the broken converter and he says maybe shaking it around while removing it caused it to work. Sure.... So apparently Camping World is just a crappy business to work with all the way around. read more

This review is for the sales department. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES DO BUSINESS WITH THESE FOLKS. If you do, be absolutely certain that you get an independent inspection of the RV you're buying. Here's our story: We were looking at purchasing a used RV through them. Our financing was arranged, all we had to do was get the 3rd party inspection (DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP!!) So I got the inspection done and the inspector found that the whole cabover was rotten. Like, the wood crumbled under his fingers rotten. Something had leaked down one wall and into the bed area and rotted the whole thing. It also had unsafe tires and a leak in the brake system (and a bunch of smaller stuff that is insignificant.) I passed this information on to the salesman and I heard him pass it on to the back office. Of course the deal was off as the unit is unusable and can't be safely driven. I left and came home. The next day I checked their website and lo and behold, that unit is listed for sale again for $15k more than we were purchasing it for! There is no way they repaired it overnight. My husband called our salesman to find out what was going on and was assured that they were junking the unit. But it stayed for sale for another 24 hours. So I mounted my own little sting operation to make sure it was for sale and find out what they were telling people about the unit. I emailed them as "Jack" and asked about it. I got an email back saying, "Yes it was sold. the financing fell through. Yes its a nice couch. Would ou like to set up a time to come see it?" (typos in the original.) What this should tell you is that these folks would lie about anything to you. They are willing to sell people (mostly elderly people coming and going there) an unsafe, unusable RV in full knowledge of everything that's wrong with it. Don't believe a word they tell you. They are ruthless, wicked people. Remember too that you are supporting these people when you shop in the store. These people are going to ruin someone's lives by selling them this hunk of junk. If you think you can trust them to service your RV, read this again and ask yourself if you want people who would do this working on your unit. Would you trust them to do what they said they were doing? read more

We bought a trailer from them. Sales is fine. However, we had several issues with the new trailer. We brought it in the first with a list of about 7 items that needed to be repaired. Shame on me for not verifying everything on the list was fixed. So we brought it back a second time to fix the remaining items and couple of additional items. after about 3 weeks I got an email from Frank to come get it. So I went the next day (2 hour drive BTW). Franks says "what are you doing here, didn't you get my email?". I said obviously not. the trailer wasn't ready. Turns out they forgot to look at the list. Obviously very mad at this point but everyone makes mistakes. another 3 weeks go by with no communication. I send email, leave voice mails but no one returns my calls. So I escalate. still nothing. So I call sales and tell them how unhappy I am. Sales does get back to me and basically nothing has been done. Turns out warranty work gets deprioritized so nothing has been done. In addition to all of this Frank told me to my face that a warranty item had been approved. After my escalation it turns out he never got authorization for Keystone to do the work. There is a lot more details I am leaving out but they are all similar to this story. Keystone has also stopped communicating with us. I am going to try another warranty service center but I wont be going back to Camping World in Burlington and I bet they are just fine with that. read more

We had been trying to consign with Greg at Camping World. In order to get a response, we had to call as he would not return emails. After calling, we discussed what we would like to get out of the trailer and he then lied about the value claiming he was using the NADA Guide book which is funny because while I was on the phone with him I was on the website and the value he said was the NADA price was $3000 less that what the NADA really said. I would absolutely not consign with them due to their lying about values so that they can make more. Due to that fact, I would suggest buying elsewhere unless you do your research because clearly they have no problem lying to profit. read more

We purchased a Keystone Destination Trailer from Camping World in 2017. This trailer has had continuous issues and very little support from Camping World and they played the pass the buck game with us. Two questions were asked when purchasing this unit. Mobile help a problem as the unit was being hauled to Yelm. Towing is costly (40 unit), we were assured not an issue ..WRONG. Second question the 1 year coverage, does it start at purchase or delivery ... told delivery WRONG AGAIN. Upon finding a major issue with the flooring on the large slide one week after our one year mark we were told out of warranty, Camping World sent us the name of On Site Diesel RV Repair and we fought with both companies for over a year and half to get the multi repairs done. Negative stars if possible. We purchased a 2016 5th wheel and from the very first time we used it there were problems. Purchased in October 2015. First used November 2015. Turns out our water connection was wrong fitting entirely. We called CW and since we weren't that far away and we just bought it...they sent a tech our for free. The tech replaced the water hook up fitting and we were good to go. Wrong The tech installed the water fitting wrong....we discovered this in June 2016.....8 months of a incorrectly installed fitting....8 months of leaking water in the underbelly. We had soaking wet carpet and mold growing everywhere. The press board was so saturated that I could push down on it and press water out. I worked with the service manager, Jarrod....to get this corrected. I told him the press board needed to be replaced so the mold wouldn't be an issue. We dropped it off for 3 days. We never seen a work order. We never signed off on anything. We were assured that it was good to go. Fast forward to now. My husband was moving stuff around in the underbelly and noticed mold growing on the carpet near the previous problem area. So he tore up the carpet and guess what. They only laid new carpet over the old damaged press board!!!!! We now have mold all over the underbelly of our brand new trailer because of these lazy asses and their unethical craftsmanship. They knowingly covered up black mold and gave us back our trailer. Now the last 2 days I have been trying to get them to fix the problem....guess what...they don't think it's their fault. I got a copy of our work order to review. The manager told me over the phone that they sanded and painted killz on the press board. That's not what the work order says....says you just replaced the carpet. There is 0 sanding marks on the press board...in fact...the original mill stamp markings are still there. Unethical. Liars. Worse customer service we've ever encountered. I would put a - star if it were available. My husband bought a camper from them 4 years ago, after the passing of his first wife. He purchased the extended warranty because when he asked if the roof seals were covered under the extended warranty he was told "absolutely" My husband did not expect the sales/service person to directly lie to him. Fast forward 3 years. Seal begins to leak. Now camping World says it is not covered. That's after our trailer is sitting out in their parking lot for 2 months, in the weather, and not having been winterized. My husband called several times and calls were not returned, and often not answered. After 2 1/2 months, we finally get an estimate, - 6,000. Cheapest prices by far however you get what you pay for. Bought a brand new never owned 2023 Coleman and the countertop lamentation was already separating and will likely fall off within the year. The staff told us they would fix it after the walk through and then shuffled us right along to signing the paperwork while they "fixed it". Only after we signed the paperwork did they tell us that it wasn't something that could be fixed onsite. They said they would submit it under the warranty and then called back literally a day after the right of recission time frame had passed to tell us that the manufacturer won't fix it and we are stuck with it as is. I would understand a bit more of it was used but it's supposed to be brand new and it's already falling apart. I wish I would have looked at the reviews before we bought from here. If I could give 0 stars I would have! After paying for the "Full PDI", in order to find any complications before I hit the road, the RV they sold me died in Albuquerque. The salesman said we take care of people on the road but the Camping World in Albuquerque said "we don't do any engine work" and proceeded to and me some business cards of people who might come by and help. After you make a deal they tell you that you have to pay a setup fee $1400. and a delivery fee that at the time was $800 , a total of $2200 extra dollars on top of what ever price you come to an agreement on. I bought a Keystone Montana 5er from this place back in August. We used it for two days and brought it back for about 12 different things that were wrong with it including missing window shades. All of these items were corrected within about two weeks. We got it back and went out for almost a two week stay in our new camper. During our trip we noticed that about half of the items that we asked to get fixed were not. In addition to a few more things that were wrong, including a crack in the front cap, and a dip in the roof that was so bad that water was pudding up on a shaped roof. We dropped it of mid September. I have called asking what the status was about 8 times since we dropped it off mostly within the last 3 weeks. I have left messages with no return phone call and have talked to the receptionist Dana 3 times and each time I was promised that either frank or the service manager would call me back. I always get the excuse that they are very busy. As of today I still have not got a single phone call from them regarding the status of my RV. With the amount of money I spent on this trailer you would think the product would be better. I paid for a pre delivery inspection from the dealer when I bought it, what for, apparently they don't know what they are doing. My recommendation would be to fire the whole service department and start over. It can't get worse thats for sure. I think from here on in I'll find another keystone authorized dealer to work on my RV. I still am concerned about the quality of these repairs based on the other reviews that I have seen. OK place to go for camping and RV needs. But its spendy and has limited inventory, don't expect to find any out of the norm items here. They are big and clean though with friendly staff so if you are new to camping/RVing, this is a good place to go. Is also good place for a kind of one stop shopping for camping and RV. They have a membership program that costs money every year that brings prices down a bit (but not near internet prices or even other area camping/RV spots) that you should consider if your going to spend some decent $$$ there. Service department is expensive and only specific staff can order parts (like parts manager) even if you already know the specific part number. This can be a pain since these special staff memebers don't work 7 days a week and there are only a couple camping world locations in the state so it can be quite a drive for a lot of people to drive there and find out they can't get the part they want even though the staff that is there can look up the part, give you prices, etc, but just can't get it for you. I've had very mixed experiences with their RV service people. Price value vary greatly across services. Some techs are clueless which can be a problem if it results in having to take your RV back multiple times when one skilled tech could have done a job right the first time. I can't comment on RV sales. read more

At first, we had a great buying experience with these people. They were efficient and willing to show us around the lot for as long as we needed, and we also took a week to decide whether we were ready to buy something. We didn't feel pressured, so it was a nice sales experience. We ended up getting a 26ft. Springdale with a superslide. It's a comfortable trailer that's easy to tow. This is where the good part ends, and that was back in 2013. I have been considering leaving a review for this place for a while, and today finally put the nail on the head. Cut to three months after we purchased the trailer when we had some issues with small items in our RV...craftsmanship details etc. NOTHING to do with the mechanics, but stuff that seemed to have been overlooked as it was BRAND NEW. I called to make an appointment and they directed me to the "warranty claims" lady who was VERY cold and rude over the phone. She argued with me that I felt it was the duty of the seller to take care of these small issues as the RV was new and we had done nothing to abuse it. She eventually relented and told me it wouldn't cost anything to repair it. We took it all the way to Burlington from Seattle, and it took a MONTH to fix it. There was a list of 11 items...NOTHING mechanical. NOTHING involving ordering parts. The repairs had only to do with the finishing details inside the RV. After that, we avoided bringing the RV to them because of the bad experience. We have since rotated the tires and had the electronic breaking system checked at Les Schwab and Costco. Just this week, we decided to move out of state, so I made an appointment to take care of some mechanical things we've encountered since having used it now for two camping seasons. $500 is the estimated bill simply to LOOK at the RV. Granted, it includes a 45-point inspection to ensure that everything is good to go, but that means it's nearly $300 to simply LOOK at the fridge and the electric jack in addition to a standard inspection. $500 is going to get us answers, not solutions. Needless to say, the total of the estimate floors me. It's ridiculous. I'm not a professional mechanic, but I certainly know when I'm being snow blown. On top of all this, the people who work in the service department are complete and utter a**holes. I think they formerly worked at the DMV or similar. I have NEVER been in a place where I have to wait longer than 10 minutes just to talk to someone. I've called several times to set appointments, and the person over the phone was completely disparaging and told me I'd have to call back since he was about to go on a break. Are these people on a union contract? HORRIBLE experience, and I am SO glad we are moving. I would say if you're near Tacoma, people should use that location. Burlington is a definite NO. read more

I bought my beautiful 5th wheel from Burlington Camping World and could not be happier. After shopping around from Tacoma to Bellingham, this store gave me the best deal by far. I really loved the way Dave, the manager, encouraged me to start with the floorpan before targeting the price and payment. The fifth wheel I chose was the perfect one for my kids and I. Also, the staff in the merchandise store is very friendly and has so many wonderful treasures. The kids and I love going into the store. We buy all of our RV specialty supplies, but also have fun with the novelty items, and always a bag of hot buttered popcorn :) We know most of the staff by name and always feel at home. read more

My Wife and I bought a used RV from Camping World last June. We were told that they would go through the RV and make sure everything was in good working condition. Our first concern was the batteries as they were obviously bad as they died on the return test drive. They never replaced the batteries and one year later, 900 dollars later, I had to replace all three batteries. Our first trip the ABS lights went on and later found out the brakes were toast and another 2000 was put into the money pit. The staff is nice, but they do not follow through on their word, even to the point of filling up the gas tank on the initial buy and after using them to service the vehicle, again after asking for the propane to be filled another "woops". I would not recommend them for service or buying an RV. read more

I had an appointment scheduled for 11:00am to pick up my travel trailer. Walked into the store and saw my rep with another couple. No biggie but I wasn't greeted at all, she saw me standing there waiting and didn't even bother to tell me she will be right with me or get somebody else to help. I waited for 30 min. listening to her talked to this other couple about non related camping activities, it was super irritating, I finally asked somebody else to help me which they did. Then they tried to charge me for parts that weren't even installed, when I told them no parts were used, they said it was the industry standard to charge something (Insurance Scam). UM I don't think so, if you don't say something they will take advantage of you. And the extended warranty is a total Joke. read more

I will never go back to Camping World Service Center!! I called to make an appointment to Winterize my travel trailer. The phone rang and rang. Finally, got to the service department, the receptionist finally answered and told me there was no service assistants available and rudely informed me that she could not see through a wall to tell if anyone was there. That comment was not necessary as I did not push about the availability of help. She said I could leave my name and number and someone would call me back to make an appointment. I waited till the end of the day and no one called. I called back and spoke with the receptionist, I said that no one has called me. She said they were busy with customers, I said that I was a customer too. So I asked for the manager, so I could ask someone to call since everyone was busy. She gave me the number and of course no one answered. I left a message with my name and number. No one has called me back and here it is a day later. I called Blade RV, a person answered the phone right away and transferred me to the service department where someone answered immediately. I set up an appointment for when I needed it and was told I did not have to leave my RV for days till someone gets to it, they said they would take an hour to do it. I don't expect I will receive a call from Camping World, because they are grossly incompetent and don't care about the customers that have been loyal to them for years. read more

I just had a very unpleasant shopping experience (2nd in a row) at Camping World. I received a sales flyer the mail with a $20 coupon on the back for any purchase. I made a special trip to Camping World (35 miles away) to shop at your store & use the coupon. The first item on the front of the flyer is "Oversized Padded Chair" sku 112309 listed as Reg. $21.99/Sale $19.99/Club Sale $14.99. There was 1 floor model left. But here's the problem: The chair rang up at $38 and the person checking me out said the store manager decreed THE COUPON COULD NOT BE USED UNLESS I WAS A CLUB MEMBER! Nowhere on the coupon is it stated that I must be a club member to use the coupon. I asked her to point out to me where it said that. Of course she could not so I demanded to speak to the manager. The manager was apparently unavailable, though I had an unpleasant conversation with him last time I was in the store back in April. After much haggling she said she could change the price to $21.99 (but not the 19.99 sale price as I was Not A Member, to which I pointed out that if I was a member, the price would be $14.99!) but again she could not use the $20 coupon for fear of getting fired by the manager. At this point I put down the other items I was going to purchase as I had no desire to patronize your store further. She also said that I was holding an expired sales flyer as it expired on July 23 so that's why she couldn't give me the sales price. I pointed out the date was July 18 and there was a stack of the sales flyers at the end of the register. By this point in time, there were now 3 other customers in the process of trying to check out, 2 of which also had coupons of varying types that they were also being told they could not use! It was one of these other customers who suggested I pick up your "If You're Not Happy..." flyer and I assume you'll be hearing from them also. I've shopped many times over the past 15 years at your store with many great experiences, sometimes as a Good Sam Club Member and sometimes not. If this is a new management problem, please fix it. And if a coupon cannot be used unless the bearer is a Club Member, then legally it needs to say that on there, not just be decreed by some rude manager who makes up rules & leaves his employees to take the brunt of the unhappy customer wrath. If you're going to mail me a coupon then I should be able to use it. And this kind of policy is certainly not going to make me want to pay for a membership (there's a whole other list of complaints about parks not honoring the discount) read more

Service tech Roger looks like a shade-tree mechanic, but he is an outstanding technician who has earned my trust for any issues! It was a simple issue with a solenoid valve for my Brakemaster system for my towed, and as it turned out, was a warranty issue that the manufacturer had already discovered. Roger even explained why my issue was a bit different than everyone else, as I had a short in the power feed between my steps and Brakemaster. read more

Hi there I contacted the service department a person named Lane and a Jackson, probably not Michael Jackson, for an estimate to supply and install two 12 volt TVs in my motor home. I even called head office spoke to a very nice person named Kristi who on the first day of my phone call explaining that she was not able to look into my matter until tomorrow morning because she had to pick up her children, no worries I thought, one more day wasn't a big deal. Well it's been 3 weeks now and no written estimate to be seen in my email box or a phone call with an explanation. I requested a written estimate to be certain that the items and price discussed would be honoured, well in my experience if a repair facility refuses to provide a written estimate it's because the garage is trying to scam the customer. This is a mixed review as we had a great experience with sales initially, but unfortunately after that it went swiftly downhill. We bought our first ever RV earlier this year as we needed a way to safely get to another state for surgery I was having. I felt we got a great deal on the trailer, and they worked to get it set up quickly so we could hit the road. Sales was friendly and helpful throughout this part of our experience. Moving on to the trip, on day one the Fastway weight distribution hitch was sliding on the trailer. The hitch bracket on one side moved the extent that the round bar bound up in the bracket and I couldn't detach the trailer from the truck. Luckily the place we stayed that night had tools, and I found that all bolts were loose. I passed on that info to my sales rep and he said he'd forward to the install guys. I never heard a word (not really expecting to at this point). For the rest of our entire trip which spanned about 3,000 miles and several states over a couple months, we struggled with the hitch slipping around and I kept sliding it back in place. Luckily we made it home safely as I kept thinking: "This can't be the way it's supposed to work", and upon arriving home I compared the install with the instruction manual and was appalled to find that the hitch was installed completely wrong. Without going in to detail, there are sections of the instructions with big red X's that say ... "Don't do this", and that's how it was done! Not only did this cause slipping, but it ended up bending the brackets on the trailer side. As the hitch was also installed upside down for the angle of this particular trailer, the weight distribution was not set up correctly either, and could have resulted in a crash. I reached out to my sales person again, and sent a detailed email with pictures showing their installation compared with the manual. I got a 3 word response ... 'Really sorry man' and he said he'd forward to his manager. I never heard anything from anyone else, and will need to order replacement brackets due to the botched install from someone who clearly didn't know what they were doing. So, sales gets an A to begin with, a C if he even forwarded my concerns but no follow-up, and the shop gets a complete fail and I'd closely inspect any work done there. I should have known as my brother had a similar experience with his 5th wheel hitch, but there weren't any other options at the time. read more

Our sales experience was so great; bought our brand new coach last year. Now we have issues and their service department is terrible and unresponsive. Our backup camera and radio don't work on a brand new coach and nobody will call us back to help. I just don't get it. The reviews on customer service are so terrible but nobody is trying to make it better. Again, it's baffling. But I guess after you spend 100k they don't need to help anymore. read more

The 5 Stars are for Frank Bennett (service writer). Frank deserves a raise this man was very nice and he must move 50 miles a day easily the store doesn't even have a printer near the service writers. First I was having an issue with my water heater on a brand new Cougar the heater would not light on LP gas so no quick recovery. I was in Seattle WA and was heading north to Fidalgo Bay I'm 3000 miles from my dealership. I called The Camping World in Burlington WA. Asked for service luckily I got Frank Bennett I explained the situation and said I was going to be heading north on Friday did he have any openings Frank said stop in at 1:00 PM. So I got there around 1:00PM waited for a very busy Frank to finish what he was working on when he was done we walked out to my fifth wheel opened the compartment and Frank not being a little man stuck his head & shoulders right in found the circuit board controller he was looking for pulled it out tested it and put in a new one and before 2:00 PM. I was back on my trip with a working water heater. Frank fixed it himself now that's SERVICE Thank you Frank. read more
