This review is for the service department: I own a pop up camper. It's almost 25 years old. I took it to Apache (after considering other places). It needed lift maintenance and a couple minor parts replacements - which I knew about in advance. I was quoted a price which seemed entirely reasonable. The service guy, Alex, texted me quoting a price on the necessary parts. I guided him to a place online where the parts were significantly less expensive. He thanked me and sourced the parts there. They added no markup and completed the repairs in a reasonable amount of time. At the end of the day I knew I was going to have to drop some coin on a repair that I was not ready to do myself. I actually spent less than I thought it would cost and feel like I got a really good deal for what I paid. I am having a hard time finding the words to express my relief at not being mislead or 'taken' by a service department...which sadly seems to be the standard. Bought a used trailer from them 2 years ago which they put "new" tires on. Recently had a tire failure despite proper inflation and towing mostly at 55-60. Turns out the date code on the tires were for mid 2014. Not sure if they bought a bunch of really old tires at a discount or if their supplier just screwed them or if somebody just didn't notice how old they were... but I highly recommend checking the date codes yourself and not trusting them when they tell you the tires are "new". read more

My wife and I recently purchased an Outdoors RV at Apache Camping in Everett. Apache was recommended by my brother who purchased a Scout Camper at this dealership. Our experience was excellent. We worked with Don who was extremely knowledgeable and patient. We've been to other dealerships and the sales people have been very aggressive and pushy. Don was never pushy.... He never stated, "how can I get you in the trailer today?" I know some dealers are highly encouraged to ask that, but I always find it to be very offputting. Apache sells pretty high-end and in my opinion a more niche product, including Outdoors RVs, arctic fox, and scout campers. I appreciated Don's attention to safety as he was very focused on getting me in an RV that was safe to pull with my tow vehicle. Don and his team were willing to work with us to get the trailer that we wanted. We appreciated Don's patience as we tried to navigate the buying process. We did our first walk through with Ryan. He was very thorough and patient. We appreciated his knowledge, he made us feel good about our purchase! Darcey in finance was kind and personable. She made the back office process very easy. She was prepared and organized. The one issue I had was with the sale of Duratain, a product that is pushed by finance. Darcey was not aggressive in pushing this product. She shared the information with us and really left the decision up to us. Unfortunately, as a first time trailer owner, my wife and I were reluctant to purchase this $3600 product. It's a coating that's supposed to protect your trailer from the elements.... They say that if you use Duratain, you don't need to wax your RV for 6 years. My wife and I chose to do a lot of research and ended up reading a lot of sub optimal reviews about the product. Additionally, I contacted the manufacturer of my RV and was told that neglecting to wax the RV for several years, especially when be stored outside, is not a good idea for longevity. I contacted some other companies and they had mentioned it was a "gimmick." Speedway offered to treat my RV with Duratain for $1800. My brother got sucked into treating his fiberglass camper (Scout) with Duratain and said that he noticed Oxidation. Apache service made me feel like I was making a mistake by not purchasing it. So this would be my only recommendation for opportunity with Apache. After spending so much money on the trailer and some accessories, you are then offered this Duratain option. I love transparency and I contacted several other dealerships (including ones that offer Duratain, and the manufacturer of my trailer) and the product was not recommended for the price point. I spoke with someone who recently worked for an RV dealership and they had mentioned that they used to sell Duratain and that the dealership cost was like $600 or $700.. $3600 seems steep!! And the dealership in Monroe offered to do it for $1800.. so just not sure what the deal is. It's business, I get it and perhaps it's a decent product for some. Overall, a phenomenal experience! In a word... stellar. We reached out to Apache in Everett and spoke with Danielle, who set the tone for what would become an exceptional experience. She was professional, courteous, and knowledgeable--and her genuine kindness came through immediately. She answered all our questions and left us with the rare feeling that we had found a dealership that truly cares.Although we initially chose to order a trailer from a different brand that Apache didn't carry, Danielle remained gracious and supportive. Even after we told her we were going in a different direction, she wished us luck and safety in our travels and let us know she'd be there if we ever needed anything. Unfortunately, the trailer we ordered elsewhere failed inspection after months of delays. Remembering our great experience with Danielle, we called Apache again. As luck would have it, they had the a different unit but the same model we originally inquired about in stock. We placed a deposit and headed their way. When we finally arrived, we were greeted by a friendly dog and warmly welcomed by the dealership's owner--before they even knew who we were. Once we introduced ourselves, Danielle led us to the trailer so we could inspect it before our independent inspector arrived. It was clean, warm, and inviting--everything seemed in perfect order. Having had bad experiences with other dealers improperly setting up my hitch, I was cautious. The owner personally came out to verify our receiver height and make sure the correct hitch was on order. When the weather cleared and our inspector arrived, Apache accommodated us without issue. A few minor items were found, all of which were promptly and professionally addressed. Morgan, who runs the service department, was outstanding--organized, attentive, and clearly experienced. He communicated with confidence, managed the team efficiently, and genuinely seemed to care about the customer experience. Darcey handled our paperwork seamlessly--no errors, no drama--just the kind of smooth experience that stands out when compared to past frustrations elsewhere. After we left the dealership and arrived at our campground, we noticed a crack in the sink caused by a minor factory plumbing misalignment. Morgan quickly coordinated a time that worked for us to get it repaired. Despite the factory not sending all the parts, Sergio and Reuben did a great job resolving the issue. It was done quickly and professionally--and after a month of hard use, the repair is holding up perfectly. We left Everett feeling taken care of and absolutely thrilled with our new trailer. This review is for the service department. Poor communication! That's as simple as I can put it. Made an appointment to drop off my trailer for service. They said they would call me with an estimate after diagnosing the problem. Never received a call. After two weeks, I called them but their internet was down and the person couldn't bother to walk over to service to see the status. Called a second time and service center is closed on Mondays. They said they would call me back. Never received a call back. Called them again, and they told me that it was done and were wondering when I was going to pick it up. Never received an estimate, never gave them approval to fix it, never received a call telling me it was finished. I wanted to wait for a few months after purchasing our new Outdoors 280 RKS before we gave our review of Apache Camping. Our salesperson was Larry and he was very attentive and patient with us as we made our selection. It took us a few months to take the plunge in making the purchase and he answered all of our questions and was not at all aggressive while waiting for us to make our decision. Apache had a great selection of coaches for us to look at, which is extremely important when making a purchase of this size. I would rate our sales experience as a five star. Their service staff is headed up by Morgan and he and his crew are top notch and have helped us with the very few problems that we have had. In all honesty our Outdoors coach is an amazingly well built piece of equipment and we have had very few small issues with it. We use our coach for at least four days a month and for about six weeks in the summer and in all of that time we lost two end pieces from our hub caps and we needed a new seal around our slide and our refrigerators door needed to be adjusted and that is really all that has needed attention. Just purchased a 2020 T@G trailer! Easy communication and negotiation via email/phone prior to coming in. They had the trailer all prepped and ready when we arrived. Paperwork was easy and low-stress. They addressed a couple of small concerns immediately, and with a smile. Great experience with all of the staff! I'm terrible with names, but Karl, James, and Neil were all great - as were the others we interacted with during the delivery. They were also able to get us all set up with the appropriate sized ball/receiver and height, as well as an adapter for 4 pin to 7 pin! They went above and beyond what I would expect from a "typical" dealer! We left WITHOUT that general icky feeling of being nickel and dime'd for every little thing, or worried that we overpaid. I had my rv winterized last week here, and they failed to lock the door or put up the step after hitching my trailer. It caused damage, and Apache refused to take responsibility for something even my 12 year old daughter knows to do before hitching. It makes me think I have to go over what they did and check it. I know these reviews are vital to shoppers. I use them. I believe the reviews more than the ads. We first went to Apache in October 2018. Here is my review of the Company: Don Minteer, a genuine professional at Apache, spent hours with us helping us think through this recreation thing. We toured lots of Apache's RV trailers, but mostly we talked and talked. Don helped us look at what it is we'd like to see and do -like tour Alaska and visit Nova Scotia. Don helped us move from guessing about RV capabilities to pragmatic thinking. At first: We bought a fantastic new Passport trailer from Apache. It was great. For a first trip, we went from Mukilteo to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. It was a learning adventure! We are retired and we found a) we loved RVing and b) the Passport was too small for us and our dogs. We traded-in our SUV for a 2014 Ford four-wheel drive diesel F-350 truck - something we've never tried before or even considered. The truck empowered us to go after a 5th wheel trailer, something that would be comfortable with the dogs. In November we went to every RV sales site in Everett, Marysville, Mount Vernon, Kent, and Sumner; yep, all of them! We also shopped online using RV Trader. We hit the books to read about how and where 5th wheels are made. We watched hours of YouTube videos made by 5th wheel owners. We learned that basic structures (frame, walls, roof, etc.) and accessories of nearly all 5th wheels are the same. The rare exceptions to this fact are the 5th wheels made by a few family-owned manufacturers; those families create trailers with grit that are made for survival and the long haul. Those manufacuterers are not focused on glamour; they focus on tough love. We wanted one of their trailers. Hey, we're in it for the adventure. Do you want particleboard or do you want plywood and hardwood? We went after an Arctic Fox 5th wheel. Everything about buying the Arctic Fox was going to be more complex; there was a trade involved, a completely different trailer hitch, financing was required, and there was going to be unit-specific requirements (e.g., our satellite antenna on the Passport had to be moved to the Arctic Fox.) Don Minteer at Apache made it happen for us - all of it. Our first trip in the Arctic Fox began the day after Christmas 2018. We made it to Bunker, Missouri in three days in the middle of a large storm that covered our path from Mukilteo onward. The Arctic Fox handled beautifully; there was gusting wind and rain, and then snow on the road and it was no problem for our 5th wheel. It has G-rated American tires. (When you are on the freeway and things are rough you, too, will be thinking about how well made are the trailer tires.) We learned we could trust our Arctic Fox to be solid and steady ~ a trailer with integrity. For both our Passport trailer and our 5th wheel we needed help from Apache service department. We are beginners and we caused a few problems. Apache service helped us tremendously; especially, Steve. They did so without embarassing us over our beginner mistakes. I believe you can trust Apache. I Just picked up my Camper at Apache in Everett . We were delayed by the snow after making the deal with Chris Allen . It was just not a problem . I am 61 years old , and this purchase was perhaps the easiest , and most enjoyable that I have ever made . My first visit Chris showed me everything I asked to see , and was very knowledgeable about each product . I was there 40 minutes and said I would be back with my wife the next day . The next day (Friday) , my wife and I narrowed it down to the one we wanted , gave some basic info , and left in about 30 minutes . Chris called us back the following Monday and asked when we wanted to pick it up . The young man is low key , honest , and followed through with everything he said that he would . Gil , who did the walk through , and helped put the unit on my truck was great . Nice man . In fact , the whole service department bent over backwards , installing the tie downs on my , checking my tire pressure , and detailing the "new" 2018 model . It was beautiful . I rolled in at 12:30 pm , and Gil and the crew had me driving off the lot by 2:30 with my new camper. My wife arrived at 2:00 to wrap up the paperwork . 12/25/2021 (update from 10/28/2016) What I said in 2016: "Simply put - I wish all companies had this level of service." (...the rest is a good story) What I'll say today in 2021: Simply put - I wish ALL companies has the level of service from ANY Apache site, Everett or Portland .. and that's after several years of drop ins, phone calls and support for 5 years. I've been a customer with Apache for 5 years and they'll get my business for many more years, or until I can figure out how it's possible to wear out our Artic Fox 990. We've been on 5 major (2-4 months each) journeys plus some shorter runs and Apache seems to follow us with parts and advice all the way. Is there a technical van with parts and advice about a mile behind us? Most of it was operator error, some of it was diagnosis and repair. Not bad given we've plied the upper regions in Canada (down to -13 degs F) to Baja back country, to places no reasonable person would go in Utah, Idaho, Oregon, Montana with our 2017 GMC Denali underneath her. This is only the third Yelp write up in 8 years I ever did and I'm big on customer service, which should say something. I've been tempted to provide you all feedback several times over 5 years, from getting free advice for help to directions on where they can send parts, to taking the time, and allot of time with someone on the phone and walk-through issues. To be clear, its not the Fox has allot of issues, but we've been pretty hard on her given the fact we've spent some 300+ days living, working, playing in campgrounds to boondocking in rough places. Whats interesting is 95% of the time I never see them in person, they help us along the way of our journeys. The other 5% being at the shops (plural as in either Everett or Portland) and it's a great experience. So here is a simple example - We packed and left the Anacortes WA last month and I did not do a real full checkout of the systems as we are heading south to ? somewhere to discover for the next 4 months.. And at the first fuel station I noticed left tail-light was out. You'd think these LED lights last forever? So I stopped in at the Everett shop. They said its unique, got the part number and said they had 2 but they are in Portland - it'll be 1-2 days to get it there. I said, okay Im heading that way, I'll pick in up on the way down. We got to Portland, and not only did they have the light waiting for us, the service manager waited late on the thanksgiving holiday to just to ensure we got the part, and easy enough, installed it for free (dont expect lots of free things but they are very competitive across the boards). Then after a discussion about why an expensive LED tailight would last only 5 years, he convinced me buying a spare wouldn't be a bad thing. Guess what, 2 weeks later, I didnt have to make a phone call, worry about a hard-to-get part, but I replaced the right one as well that went out. Our next challenge on this trip is - I couldn't get the gen set to start. I called back and they walked me through step by step to diagnose. Start sequence, Altitude, propane pressure, etc etc. I " popped the hood" on the gen set and found Baja sand, Arizona mud, some Oregon sea salt, Montana dirt from the past 4 years caked the throttle and choke assemblies from the fun we've had. With the ahhaah and concurrent advice on the phone, one can of carb cleaner, one can of penetrating oil, and now it starts just looking at it. I mark this up to operator error, or more like deferred maintenance. So what do I contribute the success story of the Apache team(s). Everyone seems happy who works there. The shops closed down and had limited service in the early days of covid, and today I see some new faces there. Even the new staff are tuned into you're your needs, helpful and committed to solve problems, and support your lifestyle camping - even if it's a weekend at a state park, or a challenging someone (that would be me) on a satellite phone in remote areas. It's either the owners test DNA on employees to see if they have the genes for success or it's that sincere dedicated family-owned-business which makes everyone happy to support. Whatever it is, they need to teach the automotive and marine service centers the same level of service. Then our outdoor life would be that much more happier. Be aware that when buying a new rv from them that it will not be ready to stay in when you leave the lot, we had to go fill the propane tanks and luckily i had brought water hose and dump hose with me, they did not have the hitch that i asked for and we had to go back to get the right one. Our salesman also lacked communication skills and was not even there the day we picked it up nor did he tell us he wouldn't be there. Our pop up trailer lost its running lights on recent trip! Had brake and turn signals ok. Apache staff graciously accommodated our need for a "quick" check and diagnosis. All systems checked and rechecked, problem was in the truck end of the elec. hookup! The technicians replaced the rusted connections and a wire under the rear of the truck! Ta Da, all lights bright and functioning! Great problem solving and super customer service! My wife and I purchased a 2012 Copper Canyon by Keystone a week ago from the Everett location. Everything was perfect! The sales staff was helpful and most importantly were not pushy at all! That alone is worth a 5 star rating. However there's more! So we took delivery of the 5th wheel on Tuesday and I immediately left for Eastern Washington, Soap Lake to be exact! I planned on staying 4 days! Friday morning I was closing out camp and readying to return home! Unfortunately he slider would not retract! I checked everything! I could not find the problem. My wife called the dealership at 0800 and told them I was having an issue. They immediately contacted me. They tried their best to diagnose the problem over the phone. After about an hour they said they're have to send a tech out to fix this! I was so shocked! They sent 2 techs out! A 6 hour round trip! They fixed it in less then 10 mins! It was a simple solenoid that had gone bad! But Apache service took care of the problem, and got me back home! I'm very pleased with the entire business. From the salesman, to the finance department and especially the service department! In closing I'll just say you really can't go wrong dealing with these folks! I will be more then happy to deal with them for anything I need in the future. read more

We got our vintage tent trailer at this business when they were across the street and closer to Lynnwood. They are the local dealer for what we want to move up to - an A-Liner popup camp trailer. I stopped here to look and see their used unit. It was a bit bigger what my wife thought our old Jeep could tow. The sales guy we worked with was knowledgeable and helped us a lot. We decided to go to their Tacoma location which had a few smaller pre-owned units. If you are looking for an RV, these guys will treat you right, Give them a visit. read more

Scotty in the Tacoma Service Department has been great to work with. Our new trailer (not purchased from Apache) sprung a leak in the fresh water tank on our first long trip of the summer. We selected Apache from a short list Forest River gave us. Scotty listened, asked for a picture of the leak and then notified me a few days later he had sent for a replacement. We brought the trailer in after the new tank arrived, requested two additional warranty repairs, and picked it up three days later. They refused to do my warranty service as they said they had too much work and that I did not buy the RV from them. Northwood Manufacturing has a horrible dealer network. We bought out trailer there about a month ago. Buying a new trailer you hope everything works well. But at times we understand that things will need to be fixed. All the work has been done well that we have needed done, the service department has communicated well timelines, parts etc, and the overall customer service has been great. We have only great things to say about Apache Camping Center! Everyone that we have spoken to and worked with at both the sales and service (parts too) has been polite, professional and willing to "go the extra mile" EVERY TIME! We recently purchased a "previously enjoyed" truck camper. The price was fair and our Sales person Don was the best. He knew the product well and answered all of our questions. He told us that their dealership is family owned and operated - locally with 3 locations. They have been around since the seventies and have built their business by actually listening to the customer and following thru on commitments. After our purchase - we discovered that our "new to us" propane tanks were original to the camper and they were past their certification date. Apache promptly replaced with new! We later had some issues with the furnace and fridge. The service tech Noel - found a part that they had in the shop that would work as a replacement, he installed and tested it AT NO CHARGE. Several weeks later we found an issue at one of the camper tie downs. They managed to fit us into the que and the repair was done so well - that we cannot tell a repair was ever done. The parts staff are also very knowledgeable. They helped locate and installed a replacement awning that matches the camper perfectly. I have previously dealt with another local dealership. The parts pricing at the (S.O.B. - THAT'S SOME OTHER BRAND) dealer is about double what we have paid Apache. We will be "happy camper's" and customers for life. I'm pretty sure if you asked Apache Camping and their staff they would rate me as a big pain in the you know what customer. I purchased two RVs from them in 2017. One Arctic Fox truck camper and most recently a Outdoors RV trailer. The first unit had a few issues and they always seemed to happen right at the wrong time. It's pretty common for RVs to have a few issues right off the bat. Apache always fixed them and made things right. My frustration on that original unit I feel maybe unfairly spilled over to the folks at Apache. For that I'm sorry. The last ski weekend I used the AF Truck Camper we had it planned for a couple months and the kids were looking forward to going. I went to my storage yard to pick-up the camper and the power jacks wouldn't work. Keep in mind this is a Friday about 5:00PM when I realized there was an issue. I made a call to Apache and they sent someone to Kenmore to help me get it loaded so we could still ski that weekend. Thanks guys you saved the weekend for the kids. We ended up deciding to trade the truck camper in for a trailer because we really needed more space. Couldn't be happier with the new Outdoors RV unit. We now have the space, beds, and room for all our ski gear. Overall both buying experiences were positive and fairly easy transactions. We bought a pickup camper years ago from Apache's Tacoma location and had a great experience. This time around we were shopping for a travel trailer but didn't realize Apache now sells trailers, and we just happened upon their Everett lot. We are very glad we did! We were shown around by Chuck, who was incredibly patient, helpful and knowledgeable. We decided on the model we wanted after leaving the lot and mulling things over, and we worked with James by phone to negotiate the deal, and James was awesome to work with as well. Deal done. I am sitting in the Apache waiting lounge right now. We just did the delivery inspection of our trailer and found a couple things that require attention, and the service people have been super. I bought a 2019 Northern Lite 10-2 EXCDSE and Onan 2500 watt generator from these guys last year for $44,0000 cash. While the unit had several problems, which is sadly VERY common with all campers. I ended up dealing with both the Everett and Portland locations several times. It can be stressful to deal w the manufacturers rules and sometimes deceptive warranties. Apache and their Service staff have really been top notch. They treated me well and handled issues in a timely manner. I'm a bit of a hard ass and a direct communicator. They were not overly sensitive, nor did they take the typical dealership position and just not care. They worked hard, fast and efficiently to solve the issues I had w a furnace and hot water heater. This dealership has a good team right now and I hope they can keep it going. Problems with campers won't stop because the manufacturers are going for volume not quality. Plus Northern Lite is more or less hand made small production. So human error occurs, which was my issue w the hot water heater. Overall I am very happy I bought here. Apache saved our camping trip and we didn't even buy our trailer there. Its a pop up trailer and the night before our trip we had packed all our clothes and food into it and lowered the top so we could take right off in the morning. After lowering it we realized we needed to put something else in so we tried to raise it... no go. The handle just spun. We started freaking out a bit. We got under the trailer and checked cables, removed covers, etc. etc. Found a pin on the ground and were able to narrow it down to the chain mechanism that was behind the rear panel. Given the difficulty of removing it we decided to leave that to a professional and hope that Poulsbo or Apache could help us the next (Saturday) morning so we could still go on our week long trip in Oregon with family. Husband called first thing and Poulsbo RV (who we bought the trailer from) said they were too busy. We called Apache and they said bring it in. We did and Terry confirmed that the back panel would have to be removed but that the fix was actually quite easy. He said he'd need a couple days because he was all booked up. Dismayed, we mentioned that we had all our clothes and food in there and couldn't get them out to put in a rental RV (our back up plan). Terry then said maybe he could get it done today given the circumstances. He couldn't tell us exactly when or if it was possible but we had hope.We dropped the trailer off around 9:30am. He called us at 2pm and said it was ready. We couldn't believe it! We got everyone in the car and took off to pick it up. We thanked Terry profusely... Our kids were SO happy they still got to go camping. We really appreciated the hard work he must have done to squeeze us into a full day. We will be using Apache for all our service needs in the future! read more
