This is one of my personal go-to spots for breakfast or brunch! My girlfriend and I often come here on the weekends for mimosas. They have various flavors, my personal favorite being Passionfruit and my girlfriend usually gets Mango. This time, we tried out a Caesar salad. I didn't really care for the dressing, it was a bit tangy and the salad was not tossed. All around, I didn't end up eating the salad and actually sent it back to the kitchen. I went here the other day with my wife and it was fantastic. It's hard to know where to begin because they do so much right. I will start with the one thing that I think they should improve on and that's checking up on tables. I had to ask the food runner to refill my Coke. That aside though everything was great. It's nice to see a business that isn't taking advantage of inflation to jack up their prices. Their prices compared to portion size is in line. Let me tell you the portions are generous. I got the oink and eggs and just about died. They were hella good and the eggs cooked perfectly over easy. The two boneless pork chops were cooked well considering they were deep fried. They were moist and had good flavor. Their campfire potatoes are something else esp with grilled onions. We also got the griddle toast logs with whipped cream and apple filling. These things are one hundo p legit good stuff. These are a must to try if you are eating here. I will definitely make a point of going back here regularly. At Campfire Grill they stay on theme the whole restaurant is decorated with camping memorabilia and it is really fun. They are severely understaffed up front so be patient but they did not ever make you feel like you were being ignored. I had a long day ahead of me and am not sure the next time I will be eating so I decided to go all in and order the garbage plate. It was definitely a MEAL and then some. It is a weird but it works blend of flavors and if you go I would highly recommend getting it, but I would suggest sharing this as it is more than enough for two people. read more

We were in Buffalo for the weekend and I found the Campfire Grill based on the Yelp reviews. It was an excellent breakfast place with so many options! The whole family enjoyed our breakfast. The sweet options were out of this world! We loved the cinnamon roll and s'mores pancakes. The campfire logs were also really good...almost like an elephant ear egg roll stuffed with cream and strawberry (totally healthy lol). I would 100% go back and would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great breakfast. My least favorite thing we ordered was probably the biscuits and gravy mainly bc the chunks of sausage weren't as well done as I would like. All in all...a great place for breakfast! read more

Unless I'm out of town, I usually don't do breakfast often... I typically consider it a bit of an occasional indulgence, and am not really all that hip as to where to go. This is what Yelp is all about... to help steer people in the right direction, and man, was I blown away! So anyway, the main reason why I chose to have breakfast out this morning is that I had placed an in store pick-up thing at a store that opened at 11, and I got out from work at 9:30... didn't want to bother driving home or driving around with the snow today. So figured... breakfast. So I ordered the Cinnamon Roll Hotcakes, in the "Hill" portion along with sausage links and coffee. First off, the size of the hotcakes is absolutely ginormous... it came out and I felt I had a mountain of goodness. So I can only imagine getting the "Mountain" portion would be like taking on Denali. For the flavor of the hotcakes, there was the perfect amount of cinnamon... not overbearing as it can be. The icing was delectable, and it wasn't just put over the top, but there was some in the layers. Extra super bonus point for the whipped cream on top, which I was shocked didn't lead to an upcharge. This alone would have been 5 Stars, and really would have been enough food. The sausage links were browned perfectly, with the perfect level of crunch and chew, and the links were on the larger side, and were a really good value and tasty enough without needing to any syrup to them! The coffee was nice and fresh, and not to overpowering... darn near perfect coffee. My server was also extremely attentive, never letting my coffee get below half full before coming around to ask if I would like a refill and to see how everything was. Service was exemplary to say the least. And the cherry on top? (Which was not a literal part of my experience) I got all this goodness for 20 bucks, which included the 30% tip I gave for the outstanding service. I will definitely be coming back, and look forward to trying a few of the other things that seemed to tickle my fancy at some point... but those Cinnamon Roll Hotcakes... again, absolutely immaculate. read more

Came on 01/08/2022, AGAIN! I cannot get enough of this place! If I could come here every day, I totally would! Usually there is a wait, so I called ahead and made reservations for two. We were seated immediately and our awesome waitress greeted us and brought us coffee and orange juice. I ordered my usual: the breakfast griddle cheese and he ordered the chocolate and peanut butter hot cakes. I must say, if you love sugar, those hot cakes are for you! They were super sweet and delicious! My breakfast griddle cheese was absolutely yummy, as usual. Such a family friendly place! The menu is unique and the service is attentive esp with the coffee rounds they make. Nothing makes me more upset than when I'm at breakfast and I cant get a refill! The three homemade syrups were also a treat - I highly recommend the apple cinnamon as it wasn't too sugary and complimented the toast exceptionally well. I've been waiting for a weekday where we could finally check this place out. I've read it's pretty busy on weekends. We finally came out on a Thursday morning and were seated right away. We got the cinnamon roll pancakes which were super good. I didnt even want to use syrup. We got an array of waitstaff not sure if we saw the same girl twice but they get the job done. At the end one girl put the check on the table but didn't explain that we should go up to pay. This was our first visit so we had no idea. She came back and took our payment but we noticed afterward other people paying at the station. So basically this is a short and sweet visit. Food is awesome. It took us 2 tries to find the restaurant on Walden. It is set back and the sign is rather small. Once there we had to wait a little, so they could rearrange the tables for our 12 person group. The menu is big, 2 full pages with options from all day breakfast to burgers to wraps; Plenty of good choices! I decided to go for the "Buffalo's own" Mustang burger. A very generous burger with blue cheese crumbles, bacon and Frank's hot sauce. The blue cheese has a very strong taste and even overpowers the hot sauce a bit. The bacon was generous and crispy. All in all a great burger! As a side you can have fruit, campslaw, baked beans or fries. I had the fries, but they were a bit disappointing. Not crispy and a bit soggy. Not too sweet and not too dense! *apple syrup was great on these! I tried a bite of the flatbread which had awesome flavour and the chicken country steak was also gorgeous and delicious! People rave about the French toast logs so we ordered a few, truthfully they were good but WAY too sweet for us, barely could manage a couple bites. It you like sweet you'll love em! Crunchy fried outside like a funnel cake coated in sugar and stuffed with warm mushy fruit filling and cream cheese! You will probably have to wait to be seated and I think service to get food out was a tad slow but it's a small place and the service is friendly! Found this restaurant when I was looking for a brunch place with my friends and family. The wait was long but it was also a Saturday and we had a big group to work with. The staff was super nice and worked with us really well. It was such a big menu to choose from. The portion size was really big though! I got the breakfast flatbread with a side of fresh fruits. The flatbread was great and just the right texture. My boyfriend got the breakfast garage plate which was sweet and savory. I stumbled across Campfire Grill on Yelp last week and after drooling over pictures for a good fifteen minutes we knew we had to try it out. Boy were we happy we did. We decided to go around noon on a weekday. Upon pulling in we noticed that the front waiting room was full. We went in anyways and were pleased that the wait was only 10-15 minutes. My husband noticed the counter seating, which was wide open and available to sit at right then! There are 8-10 counter seats and after we sat, the rest filled as well. The star here is the food, but I want to point out the service. I had called ahead to make sure they served breakfast all day (they do) and the girl that answered the phone was very upbeat and friendly. While we were at the counter the phone rang a few times and our server grabbed it in the middle of being slammed with twenty other things and was upbeat and friendly. I also heard her ask the cooks at the grill if they needed anything to drink. Customer service is incredibly important to me and I notice little things. While I often ignore little negative things if the experience is good overall, I think it's important to praise people and businesses that go a step above, especially when most people don't notice it. And by the way, our server was great with us as well! The food did not disappoint. I ordered the Griddle Toast Logs (3) and my husband had the Oink & Eggs (Aunt Lulu's Fav). I love how they have breakfast items you can't get anywhere else. Standard breakfast is good, but there are a hundred other diners we can get that at! Oink & Eggs = eggs over pork chops and they were so good! Steak has always seemed a bit much to me at breakfast, so I thought the pork chops were a great idea. They had a really good breading on them and I was guilty of stealing at least half a pork chop! They also came with home fries and toast, fruit could be substituted for the home fries. Griddle toast logs. So, so good. Think slices of French toast rolled around sweet (not too sweet) cream cheese and then dipped in cinnamon and sugar and topped with whipped cream (if you wish). You also get your choice of fruit toppings, strawberry or blueberry are on the menu, I went with apple as they offered that as well. Not only did they have apples, but they were drizzled in a caramel sauce. I got my order and they said they would be back with syrup, I almost said not to bother and I'm glad I didn't! The "syrups" they brought back were strawberry and apple cinnamon. The logs could easily stand alone with out the house made syrup, but that apple cinnamon syrup made a great thing even better! Meals were both delicious and filling, I got three toast logs, they also come with five. We ended up having to run out at the end so I didn't get the chance to roam the restaurant like I typically do, but we will be back! It's probably a good thing they are out in Cheektowaga because if they were in our neighborhood I would be there every day! read more

I ordered the chocolate and peanut butter pancakes, which was basically a Reese peanut butter cup pancake. Came here after seeing the Step Out Buffalo article so I'm not sure if the 45min wait for tables was because of the article or because of the food. Luckily my friend and I arrived when the counter had some open seats so without wait we nestled up for a meal. One advantage of the counter is no wait, another advantage is seeing everyone's food come out the window, a disadvantage was seeing everyone's food come out the window lol. I was hungry and the sights and smells were killers. One thing that amazed me was how friendly the fellow patrons are, people on both sides of us struck up conversations and we gabbed about stuff and the food. The French toast rolls were highly recommended but sadly they weren't on my list this time. After reading the article I had a plan. For breakfast I had the Camper Platter which I pictured like a breakfast bowl but as the name says it is a platter. I was hesitant after my first bite because it was way too salty but it seems that was only one bite. The dish itself is a bed of potatoes which scrambled egg and sausage gravy is laid on top of. Additionally you get to select your side of toast. This is a big meal and I was only able to eat half but was also saving room for my second dish, the cinnamon roll pancakes! You can select either 3 or 5 and 3 was more than enough. I really liked this twist on the pancakes as the cinnamon sugar swirl on each pancake crisps into a nice crunchy texture. They were served with whip cream and for me that was enough, no syrup was needed. However my friend who plain pancakes got housemade strawberry syrup for his. Overall this was a good experience but nothing different than any other diner. If you're in the area I do recommend coming here or it you're looking to try different pancakes come on down. My only peeve during the experience was the servers kept taking coffee from the pots while it was brewing, this ultimately weakens the brew which you could taste in the flavor. (I worked at Tim Hortons in my teens and we got talked to about doing this so its stuck in my mind) . read more

Took forever to get a waitress once seated, one came to give us coffee. When we finally got our waitress we ordered right away and never saw her again. The place is so small you see what's going on, she was just hanging out at the counter...a different waitress gave us our 2nd cup of coffee. If your anything like me, you probably passed this place hundreds of times. Well I am here to tell you, stop driving by and get yourself some breakfast. Now that everyone is dealing with covid, many places find it difficult to adjust. This isn't the case here, Campfire grill does a excellent job. They divided part of their lobby for window pickup. The other half, is the hostess station for inside dining. Our waitress name was Julie, she was absolutely amazing. She was friendly, and very observant. The food was is really good and huge. I ordered the blueberry pancakes, and there was nice plump blueberries in every bite. My son ordered the cinnamon roll pancakes, and he loved them. He thought he could eat alot of them. So he ordered the 5 stack, come to find out. These pancakes are the size of your head. So we ended up taking 3 home. Well worth the trip read more

Update to my previous review to include covid protocol. Excellent! One thing that has remained the same is the wait. If you've been here before you know it is worth it. We were quoted 90 minutes, and that was just fine because we had to circle back because my friend forgot her wallet. We leisurely drove back, stopping to get coffee- I couldn't wait any longer for that. Texted when our table was ready and the feasting could begin! The staff followed all protocols as did the patrons, many tables have been removed. One door is designated for take out only with signage and if you try to enter there is a table blockade and the hostess check out area that prevents entry. So read the sign! Today's meal was a steak and cheese omelet. Nice pieces of tender steak, onions, peppers and cheese with rye toast. Glad I opted to eat in here, they are doing it right! read more

I liked sharp flavor from the cheese and was glad it wasn't too cheesy. The fingers were good size and nice and saucy. Badger Burger: Again, it was cheesy without being too greasy. We requested the burger be done to a medium and was so happy that it was juicy. Would definitely order again. Fries: One word - Addictive! Griddle Toast Logs: If you come here, you have to try this signature dish. It's unique and the cream cheese filling is what dreams are made of. Oreo Cakes: My kids and I went bananas for the pancakes loaded with Oreos. We could easily make this at home, but like to keep these treats reserved for special occasions like going out to eat.
