Had a lunch meeting here. Cute spot. Our server, whom I'm sorry can't recall her name, but I'm sure she's one of their seasoned servers, was absolutely delightful. She had great recommendations, very attentive and just super nice. I was shocked at the portion sizes, they were HUGE! We started the meal with the potato pancakes, which I thought were delicious. Came with a side of sour cream and applesauce. I ordered the buffalo chicken salad, this was a family size salad, and they provided almost a bottle of dressing, which I wasn't mad about. My only thing the chicken was hammered and way over cooked. A Caesar salad was ordered at the table, again huge bowl, a breakfast plate of a veggie omelette and the polish Reuben which everyone loved. Definitely would go back when I have a taste for polish food.

I had a very good business lunch at the Polish Villa! There is something for everyone and they were even serving breakfast dishes at lunch. We started with the potato pancakes... so good... freshly grated and served with sour cream... I had the polish Reuben as my entree and it was really good! ... lots of corned beef , Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, Russian dressing served on a big potato pancake... delicious. Service extremely friendly! Welcoming atmosphere with lots of seating.

Met up for a work lunch with coworkers at Polish Villa. It has been about 20 years since I have been there and was pleasantly surprised! The service was excellent and the atmosphere was very homey just like I remembered. We made it just in time to pick between breakfast and lunch foods. I chose the veggie omelette which hit the spot, while the others chose the polish ruben and salads. The portions were huge and the food was cooked well. I definitely think we will be back.

A must try. Came here with the family on a cold weekend afternoon, and it wasn't super busy. Service was friendly and polite. I ordered a sampler to try various things, and it was all so good! Definitely worth it. There aren't too many authentic polish places, so be sure to hit this spot up when looking for a good pierogi!

My wife and I have been putting off trying Polish Villa for years because we usually end up at a chain restaurant when we make the trip to Buffalo. But tonight we had a great opportunity to go since the hotel we were at was just a few miles away. The food was amazing! Was so impressed with my Polish Platter I ordered with a variety of homemade foods. My wife got the pork chop/perogi dinner and was just as satisfied. I was hesitant to try the golabki with my platter because I'm not too fond of stuffed cabbage, but it was the best part of my meal hands down! Our server as well as the manager and staff made us feel welcome and made sure we're were taken care of. Was very homey inside which made us feel comfortable. Will be back for certain......probably with other family members.

My husband and I stopped in on the Saturday after Christmas. The restaurant seemed busy with a large funeral luncheon, and another large party who seemed to be having a holiday celebration . There were also a handful of other small parties such as ours. As a result, the service was a bit slow with only one (1) hostess (who also took drink orders and bussed/cleaned tables). Our server was apologetic regarding the delay and attentive - making sure that we had everything we needed and continued to check in with us throughout the meal. When our meal was served, it was well worth the wait. I selected the Polish Platter - Golumbki, 2 Kielbasa (they offer smoked and fresh - I chose smoked), 2 pierogi (choice of potato, farmers cheese, or sauerkraut, vegetable (I had sweet & sour cabbage, potato (I selected potato pancake which was served with applesauce and sour cream, and rye bread and butter. The platter also comes with soup or salad and I opted for the chicken soup with kluski noodles. There was enough food for two (2) meals - in fact, I took home my leftovers and had them for dinner later that night!). My husband selected the pork chop platter with mashed potatoes and apple sauce. He also added the smoked kielbasa ($5.95 for 2 large links). Everything was delicious and I believe that everything (except the apple sauce) was homemade. My only complaint (and reason for not giving a 5-star review) is that the restrooms need some serious attention-deep cleaning and updates. While this wasn't our first visit to the Polish Villa, I'm glad to say the quality is still great and it won't be our last!

I brought family and friends on a trip back home to Buffalo for a military promotion ceremony and I wanted to let them have a taste of traditional Polish food. Here's a restaurant my parents use to bring me to as a little boy. We had a fantastic dinner and it brought back so many wonderful memories. Polish Villa is a community staple. Can't wait to go back.

I had a cup of Czarnina. The Polish duck blood soup was full of prunes, kluski and raisins. The correct amount of sugar and vinegar really made it delicious. You can't find this often so, order it when you can. I asked if she made the soup but she confessed it was her mother-in-law who makes it. The menu is simple with regular sandwiches and some entrees like meatloaf , a Polish platter, fried chicken and of course a Friday fish fry. I had a fried bologna sub with onions and peppers. The perfect thickness and plenty of onions made it memorable. Sandwich's come with chips and a pickle. Mary enjoyed some bologna as well. The waitress chatted a bit about the upcoming Easter holiday and made mention of their Dyngus day party. It sounded fun but I already have parade plans. I enjoy the small taverns that used to be on every corner. This one fits the bill as it's like a time capsule of neighborhood life. While these don't have all of the characteristics you'd expect from a traditional Polish pierogi, they're still very good considering they're made by Ukrainians who were self-taught from the internet. I ordered 4 fried sweet farmer cheese pierogies ($8.99) and 4 fried spicy Buffalo pork butt pierogies ($8.99). They were small and although golden brown, still very soft for being fried. While Daisy sour cream was included, fried onions were not (although available as an add-on to purchase). The dough flavor and consistency was very good! And I commend their creativity with the fillings, including some traditional and non-traditional fillings. I was surprised that the farmers cheese was sweetened (I didn't see that they were sweet when I ordered them), so it was moreso a dessert pierogi instead of a traditional (savory) farmers cheese pierogi. They were still delicious though! The Spicy Buffalo pork butt was also great, and covered in hot sauce. This is a takeout restaurant, but they have four picnic tables outside (in the sun, without umbrellas). They have two windows for ordering: a self-serve kiosk on the left, and an ordering window with a real person on the right. However the menus are digital so with the bright sun, it was difficult to read. They really could improve the ordering experience by having paper menus available. Overall I'd recommend you stop by and support this new business. Although they're not the homemade Pierogies some Polish Buffalonians may expect, they have enough similarities to still be enjoyed by the harshest pierogi critics like me, as well as any normal person who would find them delicious as-is!

In several instances, food was being brought out for only some people at a time for a few tables. Then by the time mine comes (and I'm starving btw), it's almost completely different than what was described on the menu, and even worse, the waitress didn't realize?! I ordered the Sto lat omelette because I'm Polish and love the flavor combinations of farmers cheese, sour cream and dill. Here's how the menu described it: "smoked kielbasa, bacon, farmers cheese, tomato, caramelized onion, mushroom sauce, sour cream, dill" What I actually got was an omelette with cheddar instead of farmers cheese, and no sour cream or dill. The added home fries and ketchup were a nice surprise though. When I made the waitress aware that this seems to be a different omelette than described on the menu, she said "there's only one omelette on the menu". I pointed out the swapped cheese and missing ingredients, and she asked if I wanted the kitchen to remake it, or just bring me the missing items. I said I'd be fine with being brought the missing items. So they brought me out a dill sauce (?), and sour cream (no farmers cheese). Then charged us full price, no apology. While I enjoyed the different omelette they brought, I was disappointed to miss out on the Polish flavors I was looking forward to. While the atmosphere is cool and maybe a drink at the bar would be fine, I absolutely will never come back for food.
