Ladies & Gents, if you're looking to start planning for your wedding and are in need of help (day of/full/partial), look no further! Jen is your girl! You've heard the horror stories about coordinators going MIA and doing a shi**y job on the day of. It is all true! I had the misfortune of working with one before I found Jen. My previous coordinator didn't show up to the first meeting so I had to fire her and was in panic! I reached out to Jen and she responded right away and I was able to book her for my wedding! THIS, as I will come to realize later, was THE BEST decision I made when it comes to finding and hiring vendors for the wedding. After the intro meeting, I knew right away that she really knows what she is doing. Even though I hired her for the day-of service, she didn't hesitate to attend every meeting/site visits and truly went ABOVE AND BEYOND. The most impressive thing about Jen is that she is thinking 2-3 steps ahead of you. Not only that, she'll do all the research for you. She makes the whole thing so hassle-free & easy! On the day of the wedding, I had a table cover emergency because I didn't bother to check and open all the table covers that I bought online. It turned out that one of the table covers I bought for the reception was the world's ugliest table cover. My only other alternative was to use a black table cover that the venue had.... NOoOoOoOo... BUT Jen came to my rescue and offered to send someone to buy a white table over for me and totally saved the day. This is just one very small example. She is so personable and professional that you really can trust her with every little detail. At first, I really didn't care about hiring a coordinator. I knew I wanted to plan my own wedding, and felt I had enough creative and logistics capability to take it on. However, I also knew that there was so much context I just didn't have because I'd never planned a big event. Many of the coordinator/planner referrals I spoke to were trying to nudge me towards pricey full service planning packages, citing my lack of experience. But Jen was immediately different. Before I even got engaged I knew from the get-go I would hire a full-on wedding planner. My husband knew and completely agreed, as I've planned and coordinated events and a few weddings in the past. Especially, since we lived in Michigan and were planning a SoCal wedding where all of our friends and family were. After our initial consultation with JenSo, my husband and I decided to go with her because we clicked. She's warm, calm, and got our jokes. She absolutely took care of us throughout our very long journey together, because I hired her late summer of 2019, and my wedding was in Dec.2020. As we all know now, that big wedding did not happen because of Covid-19. We really felt so blessed that we had her, especially during the pandemic. I cannot emphasize enough how much she helped us navigate in contracts, a lot of decision making, and overall reminding us of our original vision. She's patient, and always in your corner. I already knew she's amazing, but when you have a venue manager who keeps complimenting and praising your wedding planner, you know you found a great one. She helped us plan our micro-wedding on our original date 6 weeks out, because that's how last minute we made that decision. It was absolutely beautiful in my sister's backyard. And the very few guests who came kept saying how they didn't think it would look that great and all deck-out for a backyard wedding. Because we didn't want to start up planning unless we knew we could actually have the wedding in 2021, we didn't start wedding planning again until 6 months before the wedding. I did voice my worry about getting the right vendors we hadn't hired yet in our price range, but she reassured me that there's no need to worry. And she was right, I did not worry. We hired our Florist 6 weeks before the wedding, the DJ 4 weeks before the wedding, babysitters 2 weeks before the wedding, and I had a videographer I hired the year prior go MIA, and she found one for us who could give us almost the exact package at the same price who we hired 5 weeks before the wedding. And they were all top notch vendors in my price range. Honestly, it's hilarious how "last minute" we hired these vendors, considering I started with a mindset to hire everyone ahead of schedule. We chose Campfire Events for our wedding at Alexandria Ballrooms and right off the bat, their attention to detail and ability to listen to what we wanted was apparent and a cut above all the other coordinators we had spoken too. We're Persian and decided to go with a non-Persian coordinator. Why? Because after our first call with our coordinator, Jen, we realized her knowledge and familiarity with both Persian traditions and our venue was greater than anyone else we had talked to. Even our vendors thanked Jen for her attention to detail and for how smooth everything went on the day of our wedding. For anyone else thinking they can do without a planner for their wedding, I was just like You. When we started planning our wedding, I saw a planner as an expense that we could avoid. Thankfully, I listened to my better half and hired Jen and her team. When we had to relocate our wedding to a backyard because of COVID, Jen came out and took measurements and turned them into a floor plan. She collected contracts and went over them in detail with us and then followed up on any details needed. She even kept track of the weather and had tent rentals on standby if we ended up needing them (it rained and hailed every day the week leading up to our wedding in LA). Jen So and her team at Campfire events went above and beyond to make our wedding day (and the events leading up to it) so special and stress free! My husband and I were incredibly impressed with how organized and professional Jen was throughout the whole planning process. If there were any vendor issues (vendors that I booked myself), Jen took care of it! I didn't even know about the fires she put out until my bridesmaids told me after the wedding. First things first, if you only take away one thing from this review, let it be this: Hire Jen. You will not regret it. Hiring Jen was the best decision we made during our wedding planning process. Jen was our month of coordinator and our day of coordinator, and she and her team did a fantastic job! There are so many things that go into planning a wedding and successfully pulling one off, and I rapidly realized there was a lot we didn't know. Jen was so patient with us throughout the planning process, guiding us to where we needed to be while also filling in gaps we had missed. She made sure that everything was good to go before the wedding. During the last weeks leading up to the wedding, Jen was like a machine. She made sure EVERYTHING was handled and answered every single question we had. She was our biggest support during this time. Her patience, her confidence, and her skill throughout this process were a godsend. A few weeks before our wedding, it came to our attention that there would be a march and some major road closures near our hotel and our reception venue. Jen literally called the city to ensure that we would be able to get our vendors to our reception venue in time. She had backup plans for her backup plans. Without her, I don't know how we would have handled all of this. On the day of the wedding, Jen and her team showed up ready to go. They had headsets and walkie talkies and a game plan that made sure everything ran like clockwork! The one thing I didn't want to do at my wedding was to worry about anything other than getting married, and Jen is the reason that I was able to do that. This woman literally helped me put band-aids on my feet halfway through the night. I literally have no clue whether something went wrong during the wedding, and I know I have Jen and her team to thank for that. I was a guest/invitation designer at a wedding coordinated by Jen last weekend, and both my husband and I were extremely impressed by how seamless the events went! The wedding involved several venues (hotel, photo shoot locales, church, after party...), and Jen was there all the way making sure everything went smoothly. The coordination, planning and execution of the wedding was flawless in every possible way. There was a major snafu. Morning of the wedding, one of the groomsman was sent the wrong color suit. Jen immediately took charge, arranged for the same suit to be ordered, picked up and delivered within an hour. Jen was sooo helpful!!! She went above and beyond what I expected and I can definitely say she went the extra mile. I can't praise Jen and her team enough. They are absolutely amazing-professional, punctual, organized-everything that a wedding planner is supposed to be and much more. Jen goes above and beyond to make everything come together. We first hired Jen before the pandemic hit sometime in February of 2020. She came highly recommended with our venue, however, once the pandemic hit, we were no longer able to have our big dream wedding at the venue. Plans had to change and I was not willing to change our wedding date. Jen was so accommodating. Though she helped plan our first wedding at the original venue, she was kind enough to replan everything for a wedding at my parents' house. Jen So is the wedding planning fairy godmother that I want everyone to have! Hiring Jen as our wedding planner was the best decision I ever made for myself, and it is the ultimate self-care gift that a bride (or every engaged couple) can have! When my fiance proposed, I knew I needed help because I didn't know how to even begin to plan. I heard about Jen So through word-of-mouth (because she is THE up-and-coming wedding-planner in SoCal), and we hit it off immediately in our phone conversation. After we decided to work together, I literally started calling her my "fairy godmother" because she anticipated everything wedding-related way for me: ahead of time, and with backup plans for possibilities I never knew existed. Basically, Jen let me know what I needed to do, when, how, and with what considerations to have in mind. She did a lot of the legwork behind-the-scenes so that when it came to my final decision-making, she had already gathered the information to help me re-assess my decisions to consider every possible angle so that I would have no regrets. In my case, she was 99% of the reason my wedding was as stress-free as possible-- it really was! Jen essentially planned for me, a destination-wedding since I lived away from our venue, and my husband and I were doing long-distance before we got married. Campfire events is really the best and I'll conclude with a few example to describe how much Jen goes out-of-the-way to make your wedding experience as incredible as possible. One day, she happened to be near my wedding venue for a personal appointment and was recommended to go to a restaurant that was supposed to be superb. She tried them out after hearing rave reviews and immediately texted me pictures, videos, and even catering estimates so that we could decide if we wanted to switch our rehearsal dinner to this place instead (they had better decor, portions, and dining options than what we previously planned). We ultimately decided to go with her recommendation and it was such a hit for our gigantic 30-person wedding rehearsal. We were able to sit outside under the stars and have an impeccable meal while being a few steps away from our hotel. If it weren't for Jen, who literally went the extra mile(s), we would have settled for our "good enough" rehearsal dinner venue rather than gone to the place that was amazingly cost-effective, close to our wedding site, and perfect for us and our families. Similarly, Jen voluntarily offered to make us our wedding sign using a mirror she had, and by craftily putting together our information so that we could have it at our wedding reception. This was all above-and-beyond her duties as our wedding planner! As for our wedding day, she had just gotten married 2 months before us, and knew first-hand what we might be needing as newlyweds on our wedding day (she planned for us to have some alone time, for example)! I can't rave enough about her and I consider her to be a friend after this process, so I'll conclude with this: if are fortunate enough to be able to afford a wedding planner, then DO IT ASAP because it is worth your mental health and sanity every step of the way. If you do not have the funds available, then this is really the gift to ask for (have your family/guests pool together this expense) because Jen So is THE godsend that you did not know you needed until you actually get her and her team! read more

This is a long overdue review but their amazing work deserves the recognition. It really was a blessing that Jen and Jeannine helped us with our wedding planning because my wife and I were so stressed trying to figure out the steps needed after our engagement. Friends and family kept giving us conflicting advice which only made matters worse and we knew that professional help from experienced wedding planners would be required. We had meetings with various Wedding Planning vendors but once we met Jen and Jeannine, we instantly knew they were the ones for us. Their passion and genuine care for us to have a perfect wedding day was clearly apparent from start to finish. Every wedding is different as you can imagine and we had quite a few unique requests that they were able to fulfill with creative ideas that still remained within our budget (emphasis on - remained within our BUDGET). Jen was very organized and the result of that was a stress free wedding day where we got to have fun and live in the moment while Campfire Events focused on the details. She was responsive at all hours of the day and that really helped ease our concerns leading up to our wedding.
