There are not enough words to describe how grateful my wife and I are to have found Jennifer and HuieCo Events for our wedding. Jennifer is a godsend and made our wedding planning process very streamlined and stress free, which is important for two full time working professionals (recruiter and dentist) with extremely busy schedules. From the first time we met Jennifer, she was very attentive to what our vision was for our wedding and provided us with great feedback on areas we were unsure of. Her expertise really came in handy especially when we were on the fence about certain things we never would have thought to be important but were critical components to put the finishing touches on the wedding. She is extremely detail oriented, communicative, and will do everything in her power to make sure you get the wedding of your dreams. We were given personalized, detailed checklists that really helped us focus on all the things we needed to get done by specific deadlines. Jennifer literally held our hands throughout our wedding month and there was never a moment where we felt lost or nervous about our upcoming big day. She also took care of all the scheduling, communicating and coordinating with our various vendors and made sure they would be able to meet our timelines. One of the most impressive things that Jennifer does is she creates comprehensive timelines and crafts them specifically for each individual involved with the wedding: bridge + groom, wedding party, and the various vendors. The fact that she puts so much effort into something that most wedding planners would not goes to show you the great lengths she will go to for you. On our actual wedding day, Jennifer took care of quarterbacking the whole set up and it came out so beautifully. When your wedding day arrives, you will be so busy with getting ready and photos, and the last thing you need to worry about is if all of the set ups and vendors are where they need to be before your guests arrive. Our ceremony and reception flowed beautifully because of how flawlessly Jennifer coordinated from behind the scenes. We never once felt burdened with any of the scheduling and nuances of the wedding because of how AMAZING Jennifer and HuieCo Events were. We will always remember and appreciate Jennifer because she allowed us to truly enjoy our wedding experience. Planning a wedding can be an overwhelming ordeal and it helps to have someone by your side who is experienced, organized, detail oriented, reliable and excellent at communicating like Jennifer. She is the most amazing person and we loved every second working with her!

My sister had hired Jennifer Huie as her wedding planner back in 2019. After watching my sister work with Jennifer Huie during Covid and having to re-plan and reschedule her wedding for a 2nd time, I was convinced that Jennifer was the person to go with when I had an opportunity to plan mine! Jennifer is seriously one of the most incredible human beings in the world, let alone a wedding planner. Her attention to detail, ability to get the bride and groom organized and on track, and her experience really made wedding planning for me as a bride as stress free as it can get. All my friends and family asked me if it was stressful planning my wedding of close to 250 guests and I always told them that I was extremely calm because my wedding planner was absolutely on top of it and the best there is in the industry. I had a pretty large wedding with lots of moving pieces, events, surprises, special requests and vendors. I had close to 30 vendors with each vendor contributing something to my wedding and just thinking about all the coordination made my head hurt. However, Jennifer seamlessly communicated to all of them thoroughly and clearly and our wedding day went on without any hiccups. She was able to catch all my typos, errors, and think of things I never even considered but was so important to my wedding. All my friends and family can see how great Jennifer was during my wedding including her entire team who were all so helpful. They are now all asking me for her contact information so they can keep her in mind when they get engaged! Jennifer is the ultimate wedding planner that has all the tools and resources to get you to your wedding day as stress free as can be. She found us the perfect venue for our wedding day and was there every step of the day. One thing I loved was just how responsive she was. When you're planning a wedding, you just want someone who has your back and is responsive to all your questions. She exceeded all my expectations! I am so happy I went with Jenn!

Huieco events is simply A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! We cannot give enough praise to Jennifer who helped coordinate and plan our beautiful wedding from start to finish (which was over the course of a year). From the moment we met her, she was instantly able to ease our minds by showing us her repertoire of past weddings she had coordinated and the organization and details that went into her planning. She created personalized checklists, would send us updated to do lists, found us all of our vendors and told us not to worry about countless things as she either did them for us or helped to keep us on top of things. She was also constantly in touch with the both of us and always made herself available for a chat or a meet up. Jenn saved us so much time and unnecessary stress that simply comes with organizing such a large event (about 200 guests) and served as our middle man when interacting with all of the various people needing direction throughout the process. On the rehearsal day and day of, her team was there from the beginning coordinating everyone and everything, not to mention arranging the reception area and dealing with the unexpected due to the rain! Not only is Jenn ridiculously organized, she is extremely caring and loves her work, and it shows! Her presence made EVERY difference to me before and during the wedding. It was so reassuring to have someone right there beside you who cares about your wedding and the details as much as you do. She literally held our hand through the entire wedding planning, because we were so clueless on where to begin, and offered so many little touches and details I would have never even thought of. She even captured some amazing pictures during the wedding so we could have them while our photographers edited theirs. If you are looking for someone to assist with planning your special day, I honestly cannot recommend Huieco events enough. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Our wedding absolutely would not happened if it wasn't for Jen. She was referred to me by a friend, and I was sooo grateful to have her by my side helping planning our wedding. She is SUPER organized and thorough! She helped us find the most perfect wedding venue that was exactly what we were looking for, I knew right away the venue was the one when Jen sent the info to us. She was so helpful with providing us with all kinds of tracking docs and tools to help us plan the wedding for the entire year. Even during her maternity leave, she was still communicating with us and making sure things are moving along. Truly truly incredible! On the day of the wedding, everything went extremely smooth, I had no worry at all and was able to fully enjoy the day knowing Jen and Gladys got everything covered and it all came together so beautifully , exactly how I had picture it. Her partner, Gladys was also extremely nice and helpful on the day of the wedding, we were both so grateful for her. All our vendors paid multiple compliments about Jen and how organized she was all throughout the planning process. Thank you Jen and Gladys, very grateful for you two, we will ever forget that you helped make our dream wedding came true.

Words cannot explain how thankful I am to have (Jennifer) Huie plan my wedding. I hired Huie to plan my wedding on July 3rd, 2016 and she made the entire process stress free and easy! I know my husband and I were not the easiest couple to plan a wedding for, as we were completely clueless. Huie knew exactly how to get us on track and she thought of every single detail down to the minute. She's also extremely responsive and is great at setting expectations. She was also very keen on picking up our sense of style and helped us choose great vendors. The wedding was perfect and stress-free, all because of Huie. Even the vendors, venue staff, bridal party, and parents were raving about how amazing of a planner she is! She really went above and beyond to put on the most perfect day for us! THANK YOU HUIE!

I wasn't a bride that was excited about wedding planning...I work too much and have too much on my plate to have dealt with all things wedding. Luckily my husband and I had Jennifer to help us through the entire process! From coordinating our vendors and making sure they were up to speed on the details, to emailing us updates and asking for information that we either glossed over or forgot to give her. LIFE SAVER. Our wedding was absolutely perfect, and we were able to enjoy our day...start to finish without having to worry about logistics because we knew Jennifer and her team were watching over everything and making sure our wedding day went smoothly. We 100% would recommend her to anyone looking to hire a fantastic planner. It was so fun we want to get married again! haha

Jennifer was amazing to work with and helped make my dream wedding a reality. Her dedication to detail and ability to organize schedules is perfection. She created customized timelines for the wedding party as well as the vendors...which we all appreciated very much! Jennifer followed up with each of the vendors every week leading up to the wedding - this took an enormous amount of pressure off my shoulders so I could focus on other details. Here are some other highlights that stuck out: gave advice about all kinds of things leading up to the big day- wedding games, party favors, grand entrances, cake, linens, etc. She is very knowledgeable about local vendors and the dos and don'ts of planning a wedding. It was through Jennifer that I was able to find my florist, make-up artists, and hairstylists...all of them did a great job! She always remained calm and patient throughout the whole planning process. On the day of the wedding, Jennifer helped the wedding party stay on schedule. My wedding was more then I could ever ask for and I give Jennifer a lot of the credit. She is the kind of business professional that gives wedding planners a good name. I would definitely recommend Jennifer to any bride!

Malibu 2018

Every couple should hire a wedding planner, and Jennifer is the best. We had a destination wedding of 320 guests in Malibu and 2 days of events--a welcome dinner at a private estate then a church ceremony at Our Lady of Malibu and dinner reception at Calamigos Ranch. Major crisis 4 weeks before our wedding. The original venue for the welcome party canceled on us without explanation. The news was devastating. With less than a month to go, we had to find a new space, with limited time and budget, that would accommodate 300+ guests in the Malibu area AND rent bathrooms, a generator, furniture, food, bartenders, lighting, sound for a live band, AND 12 shuttles to transport our out-of-town guests from their hotel and airbnbs. It was a gargantuan task, and we were on the verge of a nervous breakdown. But Jennifer didn't bat an eye. She went to work right away and found 3 venue options, made site visits for us, selected all the party rentals for the new space, designed floor plans, and coordinated with the hotel, transportation shuttles, and all the vendors to create one of the livest and most beautiful welcome parties ever, with less than a month's notice. The next day she coordinated our spiritual ceremony at Calamigos Ranch, cocktail hour on the ferris wheel lawn, and dinner reception at the Pavilion at North Point. Everything went on without a hitch. Our friends and relatives all had a wonderful time; many said it was the best wedding they've ever been to. The photos and videos came out fantastic, the memories so happy :). It certainly was the best weekend of our lives. That's why we can't thank Jennifer enough. Our wedding turned out so much more beautiful and perfect because of her. So glad we picked her to plan our wedding.

Just wanted to sing praises for the amazing support Alexis provided for our wedding dinner at Bar…read moreChelou. My husband and I wanted to plan something of a wedding celebration dinner, and we knew we needed some help because we live on the other side of the country and also none of our family and friends were available to provide much support. JM Events came recommended to me by my photographer who had been in the wedding industry for over a decade. I set up a call with Lilian and we went over my vision for what kind of event I was envisioning and she discussed what kinds of services JME could provide for our event and also shared that they had planned and coordinated similar type events in the recent past. After our call, I also had meetings with other event coordination companies and it was clear to me that JM Events would be the best fit for us as they seemed the most competent and professional. I also liked that JM Events was based nearby our venue. Two months ahead of the event, Alexis began working with us. We tossed around a lot of high-level ideas we were considering and Alexis provided insight on whether or not or how they would work within the constraints of our venue and timeline. Alexis and Lilian also had vendor recs at the ready at different price points whenever we needed them as well. Over time we narrowed down which ideas we wanted at our wedding and Alexis provided invaluable insight on wedding logistics and restaurant service ops that we should consider in our planning. She attended our venue walkthrough with us so that we could begin to visualize placement for different "stations" at our wedding and also served as our advocate with the various vendors we had hired. She also checked in with us and the vendors over increments in time so that we met all of our venue deadlines and to ensure that all of the vendors were in lockstep with what we were planning.  The week of the event, Alexis worked to make sure to send out event confirmations with all of our vendors so that each vendor was prepared to arrive on time and any accommodation our vendors needed were provided. This was so impressive that my make-up artist asked me where I had found Alexis! Alexis and Lillian were consummate professionals through and through, I felt supported the entire time and any question I had was met with a very considered response that only a very experienced events planning professional could provide.  Our wedding celebration was one of the best days of both my husband and my lives. We also received so many compliments on our event, like "best wedding ever" and "can I copy your entire wedding?" I was on cloud nine the whole night and in watching some of my friend's video footage I saw Alexis working in the background making sure that our timeline was executed exactly as planned.  I know certainly that without JME and Alexis, our night would not have went off as seamlessly as it did and I am so grateful for JME and their team. I am already plotting on when I can plan another party and hire JME :)

My (then) boyfriend and I got engaged in February 2021, and I always knew I'd want a slightly longer engagement, just to push things out so I'd have more time to decide on what I wanted and how I wanted it. From the start, however, we already knew we wanted to work with Lilian and her team. Given that I had more time, somewhat wanted the challenge of planning a wedding, and felt pretty prepared, we opted for the month-of services. Once we started working with Lilian, our wedding-planning life honestly became sooo much easier. I feel like we had a pretty good idea and plan for everything we needed, yet, Lilian still, easily, made things even better. There were so many things we didn't know we needed. She was so thorough, organized, and thoughtful and knowing she and her team would be by our side to finalize the details and (basically) walk us down the aisle, really put us at ease. Her communication was spot on - not just with us, but with our vendors, and with handling any (not unexpected) last minute changes. She was so easy to reach and communicate with, and was always so patient and efficient. She knew what we wanted, what we needed, and offered suggestions along the way. On our big day, her team was just as great - from the pre-wedding set up, making sure our bridal party had everything we needed, even helping us order boba - Lilian had everything all thought out. She checked in with us throughout the busy night, and helped wrap things up seamlessly. We truly couldn't imagine a more perfect day, and would not have had it any other way. I'd recommend her to everybody I know - for any event, big or small! Thank you JME team!

This review is long long overdue, Cindy and her amazing team helped us execute our dream wedding…read moreback in September of 2022 in Malibu, and absolutely recommend them if you guys are even on the fence or looking for a wedding planner/coordinator. Please continue reading and stop looking elsewhere and be completely convinced that you guys should go with MLE immediately! MLE was involved as our Day of Coordinator and planning activities 6 weeks leading up to the big day. Cindy's experience, consideration, professionalism, and honesty (this is a huge one) made what could have been a very stressful day into a stress-free day, or least as stress free as a wedding day can get it, haha. As the days approached the big day, we were already pretty happy with MLE, but once the big day came, they completely kicked it up into high gear. They were so seamless in working in the background to make everything come together with the vendors, timing, handling of guests, etc. We had a delay due to the florist, but they handled it so well that the guests couldn't tell, only we could, and even when we tried to get involved, MLE assured us that it was taken care of, and not to worry. They even went above and beyond in moving some flowers to be better positioned around our mirror guest list, which elevated how the florist had originally planned for. They were very considerate and thoughtful for us by making sure appetizers were set aside for us while we were taking pictures, we were very pleasantly surprised to find a big bowl of our seafood items sitting at our couples table, since we definitely didn't get a chance to get to it. Throughout the night, they made a point to bring us drinks, dessert, help with a small crisis on my mom's side. I really couldn't have imagined having a better coordinator the day of, I wish I had another big event to plan, because I would absolutely go back to them for their services. AND the amazing service doesn't even stop at the wedding day! Their follow up emails to reflect back on what went wrong or what went well shows how much they care about their work. They were very meticulous in addressing any concerns we had that happened on the big day and most importantly, they were honest. They were truthful about the reasons why some things didn't go as planned, and that to us is the most important trait in a coordinator that you can trust them. In the end, they were instrumental in even getting us partial refunds from vendors because of them not holding completely true to their agreements. If you've read this to its end, you don't need to look elsewhere, hire Cindy and her team now! You won't regret it!

The Mad Love team took such incredible care of us throughout our entire wedding planning process…read more Cindy was so warm during our first call with her, and it really set the tone for all of our future interactions with the rest of her team! Shasele was our point of contact, and she was kind, thorough, and patient with us as we worked through all of our requirements and asked her a million different questions about the process. She also made sure to provide regular checklists of items to make sure we stayed on track, while also not putting too much pressure on us! Claire handled putting together a gorgeous design brief based on inspiration photos we gathered, which definitely helped as we went through the process of selecting and working with vendors--all of whom were also incredible! An important thing I also want to mention is that I had a sudden health issue flare up partway through our venue search, which set things back by a year. The team was incredibly understanding and checked in periodically while offering well wishes until I was ready to return to planning, and I deeply appreciate how patient they all were during such a difficult time. Overall we couldn't not have asked for a better planning team to work with, and we're so incredibly grateful to Mad Love Events for making our special day so perfect!

We chose a partial planning package so we could collaborate closely for the months leading up to the wedding, and it made all the difference. From table layouts to glow bars and all of the creative ideas in between, Jessica helped bring everything to life and together seamlessly. Jessica and her team always found solutions that made our vision possible and wedding day stress free. We also hired a full support team from Three Little Birds in addition to Jessica, our day of planner and Bre, our coordinator, and that decision paid off in a big way. The entire Three Little Birds team kept everything running smoothly and effortlessly, setting up, moving us through the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing without a single hiccup. The event felt calm, organized, and joyful from start to finish, which allowed us to actually enjoy our day. We could not recommend Jessica and her team more highly.

We had an unbelievably disappointing experience with 3 Little Birds for our chairs and linens…read morerentals during a corporate event. The team arrived almost an hour late, several seat cushions were visibly stained and even molded, the cushion covers were not all the same color we had asked for when booking, and some of their staff were rude to us. Members of our own team had to jump in to cover cushions, tie them to chairs, and set them up to attempt an on-time event start, despite having had many other things to take care of for the event. At one point, our own executive leadership, who had arrived to attend the event, were helping assemble chairs just to keep things moving. Post event, we expressed our extreme disappointment, and after some back and forth over the course of weeks, the company did acknowledge the issues and agreed to provide a partial refund. Unfortunately, despite months of follow-up and repeated assurances, it has now been over FIVE months, and the refund has still not been provided. I normally prefer to handle situations like this privately and give disappointing companies the benefit of the doubt. But the lack of follow-through and accountability has been incredibly frustrating here, so much time has been wasted with nothing to show for it. I am sharing our poor experience, complete with photos of how the rental items arrived, so others can make an informed decision when considering booking with this company.

He gave experience, broke down details of our reception schedule, and provided ideas to personalize our reception that best fit the goals of our wedding. As a bonus he is fluent in Korean, so alot of our guests who don't necessarily speak english as their first language benefited from his translation during our reception. All our guests had such a great time, and he was such a natural during the event, a lot of our friends thought he was a member of our family haha. Candice and her team were perfect…read more Candice would always take the time to listen to and enage in our crazy requests. Whenever we thought of something that we thought was complicated, she would immediately have a solution that she could execute seamlessly. For things we didn't have much of an opinion on, Candice always knew what was best given our preferences, but always presented us with options just in case we wanted to go a different way. She kept us on track throughout the process, and when things got stressful for us closer to the date, she stepped in and took a lot off of our plate. Everything at the wedding went extremely smoothly. We had no stress, everything was taken care of. We were able to enjoy our wedding completely carefree. I usually keep a to do list of everything that needs to get done in life to make sure nothing slips through the cracks, even if its not something that I need to do. I tend to keep that list even when I'm fairly confident the other person will complete that task. With Candice, I felt comfortable not keeping that list, and just trusting she would take care of everything, which she did. But just the fact that I was able to get comfortable enough with Candice easy on to not keep that list was such a huge relief. Normally when I go to a wedding, I can identify the planner, but I tend to not have a strong opinion about the planner. Many of our guests commented on how smoothly everything ran with Candice and her team. She made a uniquely positive impression on our guests.

We booked her early-she was our first vendor booked-which was the best call as I loved having someone I could go to to help me verify vendors, suggest design options, and answer other random planning questions throughout my 1 1/2 year-long engagement. Most notably was how Claudia handled the extreme weather that caused us to have to change venues, 2 days before our wedding. She very nimbly helped me translate our existing layout and communicate our decisions and preferences to the venue. I'm so thankful that she orchestrated an outdoor ceremony, which was my goal, and designed the most beautiful interpretation of my dream in a completely new space. Finally, Claudia was kind and lighthearted throughout the entire process, but has exactly the type of direct forward, take-charge manner that is so needed when coordinating a wedding! We are so extremely thankful for Paulina! In total we signed up for a 10 session package which we included our parents as well-- 5 sessions for us, 3 sessions for my dad and me, and 2 sessions for my husband and my MIL. Both our parents barely speak English, so there was also a language barrier... Yes... all within one week-- talk about stress! Paulina taught out of a studio in Pasadena. She was extremely kind, patient, and creative. We have no experience in dance and to be honest, it was tough to memorize the steps, keep a tempo, not look stiff, and to make sure we don't step on each other. So extremely happy with our session with Paulina. If anyone can pull off a miracle, it's her! Thank you for being patient with us. Thank you for creating a code memory for us (and our guests). Despite COVID, she was able to teach us safely, outdoors and with masks, and taught us how to dance in a way where we could use the same knowledge in the future. Instead of going straight into choreography for our wedding song, she taught us some moves that later we would be able to put together into the full song. To be honest I was very hesitant and a bit stressed about learning a dance for the wedding, but she gave us the building blocks and showed through her teaching the confidence I needed to dance on our special day. She knew our level of dance knowledge (which was basically zero) and she knows just what to look out for (ie. smile more, practice with wedding shoes) in order for brides to look their best on the big wedding day. She (and her husband David) are incredibly patient with their students, as they truly care about who they are working with. I truly am so thankful for such great teachers! Definitely recommend for your wedding choreography needs. She will work with you, no matter what type of dance (& difficulty) you're looking for!

They truly exceeded our expectations in every way and were one of the best investments we made for our wedding. We booked them almost a year out, and a few months later we got to see them in action at a family friend's wedding. Watching how professional and wonderful they were only made us even more excited to have them on our big day and it was the perfect preview of what was to come! Jonsen was always prompt in responding to all of my questions throughout the planning process, which made everything so smooth. We booked their ceremony package with Howard as our emcee, along with the reception package that included DJ, photobooth, and wall drapery with uplighting - and every single element was executed perfectly! Howard was an absolute natural as our emcee - seamless, energetic, and so skilled at keeping the night flowing. When last-minute changes and adjustments came up, he and Jonsen adapted quickly and effortlessly without missing a beat. Jonsen's music selection was on another level as our guests raved about how much they loved it, and the dance floor was packed from beginning to end. People could not stop talking about how much fun they had! The photobooth was a huge hit as well - the props were fun and the photo quality was excellent. The reception setup was incredibly well done and added so much to the overall atmosphere. What made them extra special for us was that they speak both Cantonese and English, which was so meaningful for our guests and made everyone feel included in the celebration. Honestly if they had more services, we'd take them too lol. Couldn't be happier! Prices were extremely fair and reasonable. A lot of my guests complimented the music choice and vibes. Also, must highlight Howard the Cantonese and English emcee. He's the same DJ on AM1430! My elderly relatives loved him. He is fluent in English and Cantonese and it wasn't awkward at all to switch back and forth for our guests. I'd recommend Spotlight Groove Productions to my friends and fam!
