Planning process: Although we did most of the planning, she understood our vision and the culture we wanted to facilitate. Let me guess... You're looking for a wedding planner and you don't know who to choose? You're looking for just a "Day of Coordinator" and nothing else? Well friends, rest assure I got you... Let me give you the skinny on why I think Claudia at One Darling Day is your gal for your wedding. Like a lot of couples who are about to get married, we were a bit stressed, overwhelmed, and overly lost about what to do or who to choose. A lot of my friends don't have the luxury of choosing their own coordinator cause their venue provides their own coordinator. (It's like getting a court-ordered attorney who is there but doesn't really want to be there)..... Would you rather pay for your own attorney/coordinator who has who has your best interest as opposed to one who there just because? (If you're hell bent on a venue and they provide their own coordinator, then I'm sorry you're shit out of luck... Haha) The best thing about choosing your own wedding coordinator is you're in the driver's seat. The ball is in your court. The worst thing I could imagine is getting stuck with a shitty coordinator cause it came with a venue. Yet, that happens to a lot of my friends and people you know who on the day of the wedding, the coordinator just disappears and is nowhere to be found. This is your wedding. You should be in control of all aspects and the coordinator is no exception! We originally had gone with another coordinator but in the end we ended up axeing the other coordinator cause I'm about trusting my instincts and my gut and it was telling me to go with Claudia. We are super glad we did... We had a few initial meetings with Claudia at a nearby coffee shop to go over details and wedding rehearsal/timeline. She took detailed notes and is responsive to e-mail correspondence. She heard our suggestions and offered her own ideas but in the end she was respectful of our vision and aided us which is key.... She coordinated with the vendors, the venue, ran the rehearsal, and offered suggestions on the rehearsal dinner as well. She was extremely hands on which is the type of person you want working for you when it comes to your wedding. My super hyper critical unimpressed and usually overbearing parents were extremely impressed with Claudia as well and had nothing but nice things to say about her as well. Word to the wise: Choose a coordinator you trust and will know that will have your back on the day of your wedding. Claudia is seasoned and well under pressure and takes your suggestions to heart. There was never a time where we thought she was doing a sloppy 1/2 ass job. She was there from the start of when the venue opened and was one of the last ones to leave the venue at the end of hte night. When my fiance and I were told we were required to get a day-of coordinator for our 02/28/2014 wedding at Castle Green, I'll be honest - we were a little stressed out about it. With a budget for everything and family members who have all gotten married and were willing to help out (plus, I'm a bit Type A), we didn't see why it was necessary. BOY, were we wrong. I searched dozens of wedding coordinator/planner services and they were all terribly overpriced or they only offered month-of services. We needed a coordinator that was detail oriented, down to earth and could take everything I planned and run with it. It was not easy searching for the right person. It's been almost a month since our wedding and I feel I can finally write a review that doesn't make me upset. I wish I could write a glowing review like the rest, but unfortunately my experience was underwhelming and it felt like I was working for her instead of the other way around. 1.Communication was not great as she would take almost two weeks to respond to emails and I would have to follow up with her to get a response. 2. We met as stated in her contract but she was late for 3 meetings. She was 20 mins late to our rehearsal and she did not call to let us know. I had to call her. She later stated she had car problems. A professional would call their client and let them know they were running late. 3.Claudia was rude, unprofessional, and ignored my family when they were trying to figure out how to help setup. She stated "she was under the impression people would know the decor setup which is why I was overwhelmed in the beginning". I gave Claudia a detailed setup of how I wanted things. At the last minute I had family members who could help. I let them know to ask her for instructions as I was super busy the day of. All she had to do was delegate since she had detailed instructions. 4.She forgot to give my dad his boutonniere. Claudia stated in a later email "I put on all the boutonnieres and corsages that were in the brown grocery bags not one was left behind. I recall pinning everyone, hope you can tell by the photos that everyone had one. I should have paid more attention to your dad and noticed that his must have fallen off at some point. But I did pin all the gentleman". There is no way my dad's boutonniere could have fallen off because my dad never got pinned. He was with me at the hotel when the men got their boutonnieres. Furthermore my family stated there was 1 boutonniere left over and I spoke to my dad and he stated no one came to him to pin a boutonniere on him. In all our pictures my dad will not have a boutonniere. 5.My dad was not in the processional line when we were lining up. My dad stated no one told him where to go which was clearly Claudia's job. 6. Our toasts were all messed up. I sent Claudia a timeline stating the order of toasts. There were people who were left off the list. My husband had to go tell the DJ we had additional toasts. Claudia did state in a later email "Yes it was my fault I should have doubled checked the order & that he had everyone noted down correctly but it was an oversight and by the time he called Jason's father it was too late". 7. Claudia failed to inform me I was doing the father/daughter dance. Claudia stated in a later email " I cued the father/daughter dance to DJ. I do remember you went to the dance floor and I was behind your dad at his table to let him know to join you. It was at the same time as you saw him". I heard the DJ announce our song, I panicked because I had no idea we were doing this yet or where my dad was. I scanned the room for my dad and yelled for him across the dance floor. I have this all on video. How embarrassing to have to yell for my dad; all of this could have been prevented had Claudia informed me what was going to happen next which is why we hired her. 8.Claudia disappeared for the last portion of the night. I understand she left to go buy a cake earlier on in the night but she left again. In a follow up email Claudia stated she had not eaten and went to grab a bite to eat. She let a family member know "she had to go take care of something" Had she been specific with us or the caterer that she hadn't eaten they would have fixed her a plate as food is not thrown away until the party ends. The caterer stated he has never had a vendor leave to eat because vendors always ask if there is a plate for them. By the time she got back we had cleaned up and were gone. I feel my dad got the short end of the stick and this is why I'm writing this. This wedding was as much mine as it was my dad's. My dad had no boutonniere, was not told to line up for processional, his table was toward the back because guests decided to move seats, our dance was messed up, and the groom's dad gave a toast before my own dad. All of which shouldn't have happen because her contract specifically stated all these things would be taken care of. She was gracious enough to refund us half of our money and for that I am giving her a star. In the end my wedding was beautiful because my sister and her best friend pretty much did Claudia's job. Not really sure why she didn't produce since there were excellent reviews but the sentiments from majority of my guests were that she seemed overwhelmed and was rude. She was not detailed oriented and a huge portion of what was stated in her contract was not delivered. I could write a bunch of other things that happened but I'm only allowed to write so much on yelp. Please spend the extra money for a professional who doesn't have an additional full time job to help coordinate your wedding. read more

Claudia did a splendid job at our wedding on Valentine's Day. I initially met with her after phone calls to several other wedding coordinators in town who lagged in responding back and some didn't even get back to me at all. It was the most important sign for me as a bride to pick someone who makes themselves available like Claudia did. She met with me on a Sunday! The following meetings happened on weekday nights which worked with my schedule. In the planning process, Claudia collected all the details for the wedding day -- colors, vendors, recommended quantities on decor, timeline, bridal party duties, songs, everything! My husband and I couldn't have executed our wedding plans if not for Claudia. On the day-of, she made everything flow smoothly and did so seamlessly. Her best quality I think is her ability to stay calm when she senses the stress coming down onto her clients. I stumbled across Claudia's instagram page about 2 years ago and instantly fell in love with her style. From the first meeting I knew she was the perfect fit for us. My wedding was just two weeks ago, and it was absolutely perfect. My husband and I weren't sure at first if we needed a wedding planner because we were handling a lot of the big stuff on our own-which was fine-but the closer we got to the wedding, the more I stressed out about what I was going to do the day of. Claudia is awesome! This review is long overdue. We were married, July 2nd! I kept telling myself that I didn't need a wedding planner, we were trying to keep the cost down for our wedding. But, I met Claudia at just the right time. I was introduced to her through one of my friends when we were about 4-5 months out till our wedding. We had our venue booked by that point, I had my dress and our wedding rings...you know the most important stuff! But we still had lots of vendors to book! We had the overall idea of what we wanted as far as the look and feel goes, but Claudia really helped put all those visions and thoughts together. There are so many things to think about when planning a wedding, even if you go small. We had less than 100 people and it all turned out just perfect thanks to Claudia. She recommended some great vendors that she trusted and even got some quotes for me. Every time we met she would answer all of our questions and go through a checklist of what we got done and what we needed to still do. Very efficient. She really took the reigns and just made both of us feel comfortable about everything. My husband had so many questions and she had no issue answering all of them and making suggestions. She gave us many options and ideas for different ways to do things which was extremely helpful....especially for my other half. He is very picky but in a good way, he has very particular style. She was always accommodating to our busy schedules for our meetings, my husband always wanted to be sure to make our meetings. And I think it's because we would go over so many things that were helpful. She is friendly, outgoing and everyone enjoyed having her around. I loved working with her. On such a special day having someone there that you trust to just handle things was just wonderful. She provided great communication with all my vendors and made sure everyone was on the same page.
