Honey lavender latte
Julia W.

Camp Coffee Roasters was the cutest little coffee and cookie shop (with an attached gift shop). We ordered a latte with non-fat milk and a honey lavender latte. We also ordered the Kitchen Sink cookie (didn't snap a picture) and it was DELICIOUS. It was chewy, sweet, and buttery. It was also massive. Our barista was super nice and created some pretty latte art for us. The coffee was warm, comforting, and everything we needed on a cold day. It was the perfect drink to sip on while walking in quaint, downtown Blowing Rock. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a delicious coffee (or cookie)!

Iced campfire latte -- chocolate and marshmallow.

Kind of disappointed. Read all these great reviews anddddd the coffee was just... okay. The menu is small and hard to read unless you're like up at the counter or next to be helped. I felt a little rushed since I had never been there before and didn't know what I wanted. People started coming in behind me so I ordered a campfire latte (at least I think that's what it was called! It had marshmallow and chocolate in it.) I paid close to $6 for a 16oz iced, with zero extras. Maybe that's the norm here, but where I come from, I could get a 24oz for that price. Anyway, I should have listened to the guy who said his coffee was watery cause he hit the nail on the head with his review. It wasn't bad, but it didn't make me want to come back either. Not sure how many espresso shots come in a small, but the coffee/coffee flavor was lacking. Maybe it would have been better hot, but who drinks hot lattes when it's like 80 degrees outside? They did offer an array of pastries, but I didn't even get the chance to look. Either way, the place seemed clean and other people seemed to enjoy it. Staff was nice, I guess. Not overly friendly or had any suggestions when I said it was my first time though. Maybe I'm slightly critical of my coffee and need to give the place a second chance, but I think I'll try a different shop tomorrow to see if somewhere else is better before going back. ‍

Wake up in the morning, first sip in this decorated local coffee shop, I love it. Super friendly service and local company ingredients, I had Cinnabon and campfire Marshmallow ice coffee. You also can get a nice hot breakfast sandwiches, jumbo muffins and cookies

This is a charming store with very interesting coffee menu. We ended up at this place after a day o hiking. It was a good stop. The location is very relaxing. The coffee was good as well. I had the Honey Lavender coffee which I found very delicious. Definitely go to this store if in the area.

This has been one of the best espresso bars I've been to in the high country!!! The espresso has been consistently exceeding my expectations! The baristas really know how to texture the milk and how to balance it out as well. Service was quick and really pleasant. The interior of the shop is quaint and cozy. This is a must try place.

With a name like Camp Coffee in the mountains I immediately circled this weeks before my trip because it's just about the coolest name I've ever heard for a coffee shop on my hiking trip throughout North Carolina and Virginia. It was honestly one of the more disappointing places we went for food/drinks during the trip. 1. We ordered iced caramel coffees and they tasted like water. The coffee taste or flavor wasn't really all there. Very watery. 2. I really wanted to take a bag of coffee home with me and their bagged coffee was almost $20 a bag. Now, I go to a lot of coffee shops in the South East and none are $20 bucks a bag. It's more of a $12-$16 dollar range. 3. The dude who made our drinks couldn't have been any more less interested in us. He was too busy having a conversation with some other dude in the shop. 4ish - Don't get me wrong - Camp Coffee isn't bad...it just isn't good. I recommend The Local Lion in Boone, NC for coffee.

Nice, local coffee joint on the edge of downtown. This little shop was just a few steps away from our hotel on the Eastern end of town. We wanted something caffeinated but cold in the afternoon so we got a large iced chai latte. The server was very pleasant and as a bonus, we used our Yelp check-in to get a discount. Then we enjoyed sitting outside and enjoying the outdoors before doing more shopping. They roast their own coffee and also have pastries and other beverages. We'll take an independently owned coffee place over a large chain any day.

When we walked in, we could immediately smell the buttery croissants being baked. Since we just had breakfast, we just wanted a Cortado. The staff member who took our order was very friendly, and there wasn't a wait for our coffee. The best thing was that the Cortado was delicious! It was just $3.50 plus tax--a good value. We'll definitely be back. And next time, we'll try a chocolate or almond croissant!

It's tucked into a great courtyard off of Main St. with plenty of outdoor seating, including umbrellas and shade on warmer days. We went with a sweet almond croissant and 2 different types of savory quiches, a bacon cheese and a broccoli cheese. Everything had fantastic flavors. The only reason this doesn't get 5 stars is because the warmed up items were still a tad bit cold inside. This is the second time we've been here, and had a similar experience the first round. With proper heating time, these would have been top notch and 5 star all around. We'll be back for more bakery goodness for sure. We'll politely ask that the items get heated through next time just in case.

Social on Main is my husband's and my favorite place for breakfast while visiting Blowing Rock…read more They are even better than our now-closed old favorite, Sunny Rock Eggs & Things. On this last trip, we went twice. I got the Beth Ann Clark both times. I just love their cheesy scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, fruit, and french toast. My husband tried two different entrees this time--the Butch Triplett (corned beef and eggs) and their breakfast burrito. Their corned beef is likely from a can, but it's so good because they cook it so it's very crispy. I always steal some of his corned beef to add to my eggs! Their breakfast burrito is amazing. It's simply filled, with just scrambled eggs, cheese, small bits of ham, and hash browns. It's topped with an enchilada sauce that is similar to a ranchero sauce, and is served with sour cream and guacamole. It's a massive burrito, and SO GOOD! My husband said it's his new favorite. Social on Main is popular, and so we always go early (before 8am). After 8am, there is usually a wait--especially on Saturdays. Their servers are always friendly, and the food is delivered fast. Their coffee is nice and strong, too. I wish we had a Social on Main near our house, because we'd visit them weekly. Give them a try if you are in Blowing Rock for a visit and want a great breakfast!

Social on Main was the perfect way to start our weekend in the area…read more We drove into the area for breakfast and exploring and upon arrival the spot was packed. After looking at the menu and dining there I can see why. The portions are huge, and the pricing is so great. They also have a full bar including breakfast martinis - which I did not opt for but went with a bloody mary instead. It was huge and delicious. They have a lot of breakfast options, but when I saw corn beef hash I knew I had to try that. They have a bunch of different breakfast options and the one I ordered came with eggs, ham, hash browns and I can't remember what else but it was huge. If breakfast isn't your thing and you want lunch - you can choose from their lunch specials which are a main and three sides for under $14 - wowza that is literally crazy! It is a cozy, charming spot with friendly service and I would definitely recommend if you are in Blowing Rock.
