We visited today for the first time and I'm soooo pumped that we have a good coffee shop on the mountain now! They carry many different syrup flavors, have seasonal flavors, and a flavor of the week! I had the pumpkin latte of course and it was delicious! Staff was super friendly and they have plenty of seating inside and out. We just might go every time we're here!

Highly recommend Super kind baristas who were helpful with all of my questions - including non-dairy options. It's a local coffee shop near the ski slopes with special seasonal coffee / espresso options. There is an open room where you order a long bench area to wait, and a second room if you want to sit at tables, eat, chat, work on a laptop, people-watch, etc. There is also outdoor seating but it was snowing when I was there, so we were all inside.

Coffee Shop No. 492 Camp Coffee Roasters…read moreBlowing Rock NC April 9 2025 Camp Coffee Roasters is a little coffee shop in Blowing Rock, North Carolina, a charming little mountain village. The downtown area sits about a mile from the iconic Blue Ridge Parkway (connects the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in North Carolina to the Shenandoah National Park in Virginia). Camp Coffee Roasters has a cozy vibe and an obvious appreciation for the outdoors. It might have something to do with their neighbors; Footloggers, an outdoor store. Be sure to climb the stairs near the front door of the coffee shop. They lead to a loft, overlooking Footloggers, where you can relax in a wing back chair or get some work done at a table near a window. The barista was friendly and made a respectable cortado. Enjoying life one cortado at a time!

This time, however, my mom and I were extremely disappointed. We were served by a young man who seemed to be the owner's son, while the owner and another young man stood behind the counter. He forgot to ask what sizes we wanted, and when I got my Campfire Cold Brew, it came without cream. The menu clearly said: Cold brew, marshmallow, Hershey chocolate, and cream. I thought maybe it wasn't my drink, but the young man confirmed it was. When I asked if it was supposed to have cream, he said no, but that he could add some. I double-checked the menu: "It says it comes with cream." That's when an older woman suddenly appeared, glaring. "There's cream right there," she snapped. I'm guessing she was his mom, given her signature mama bear energy. Sorry, lady! I was just trying to make sure I got what I paid for, especially since two small coffees cost $16. Anyway, if you're looking for an adventure, head to Camp Coffee. You might not see a wild bear in the mountains, but you just might meet one behind the counter

I ordered a pour-over, and it was clean, smooth, and brewed with obvious care. Straightforward and well executed. I also had an iced latte with a Hot Honey flavor, and that was the surprise standout. The espresso held up nicely over ice, and the hot honey brought a subtle sweetness with a gentle kick of heat on the finish. Refreshing, a little bold, and really enjoyable. Between the solid coffee and the nostalgic, gear-filled atmosphere, Bald Guy Brew is a fun stop that's absolutely worth pulling off the road for.

The coffee is amazing, the staff is friendly and helpful with ordering! My husband is a fan of the chocolate muffin. I was there for the coffee! Day 1 tried the pour over, and Day 2 Nitro cold brew. Both were smooth and full of flavor. . They also sell local honey with a large variety of flavors and local meat. We got some burgers and pork sausage links to grill while in town, and they were really good. The meat is on the pricey side but that is expected with fresh local meat. They also have a small shop in Blowing Rock in case you don't make it here. Definitely put them on your list of places to go while in town. This bald guy knows his stuff!
