I stumbled across this charming local coffee shop and book cellar, in Abingdon, VA. I was greeted upon entry by the barista! She was so kind and very patient as I scanned the menu. She provided recommendations and shared with me the specials offered at the time. I ordered a custom made beverage, hot Toasted Marshmallow & Butter Cookie latte with oat milk; I topped it with whipped cream and caramel drizzle. It was absolutely delicious. It was the perfect sweet treat to warm me up on chilly winter afternoon. The cafe also featured a very cute book cellar that had the neatest items!! You can definitely tuck-away in this cafe to get work done, you can meet with friends for a coffee date, or even just chill and have a cup of coffee, a pastry and indulge in a nice book. Cozy and quaint coffee shop. Super welcoming and comfortable. Great place to pop a squat and work or read. Also a terrific spot to meet friends and just relax/chill. Great coffee drinks. Ordered cappuccino, Americano and a latte. Also ordered the cookie butter pasty and a muffin. Both tasty. The drinks were so delicious that we purchased beans to go. There's lots of seating in two different spaces. There's also a very cute small indie bookstore on sight. They also have a bar with cocktails available. This place is obviously very community oriented and just a welcoming environment. Staff is wonderful! Very friendly and accommodating. This is gem of a coffee spot. Stop by! read more

Wolf Hills Coffee in Abingdon is a gem. The ham and cheese croissants are outstanding, and the peanut butter cookie is one of those treats you keep thinking about after you leave. But the real reason we come back is Hunter. He makes amazing cocktails and is genuinely so much fun to chat with. We honestly come here for him and his drinks. This cafe was in a shared space just off of Abingdon's main stretch and was notable for its generous hours. They had a pastry spread that was getting a little thin towards the end of the day. The selection seemed Mediterranean, and while the sweets didn't catch my eye, some interesting savory options emerged. My selection was one of the flakier pastries I've ever had with spinach and feta layered throughout. Getting an apple cider yielded a bit of spice on top, but I wondered if I'd missed a more interesting drink selection. I've already told you how great Wolf Hills Coffee is, but I'm super excited to tell you about an amazing latté they offer they call the "Cozy" The Cozy is a million times better than any autumn pumpkin spice latte in my opinion: firstly it's all natural unlike most Starbucks that have those syrups full of fake sweeteners and artificial junk. The Cozy has honey and cinnamon and just the perfect balance of each! It usually comes with oat milk, but I order mine with Almond milk.... YUMMY! Today when we went in I was famished! They were out of my favorite GF lemon pound cake so I got and egg on GF toasts with butter, but by the time I ate it and enjoyed sipping my large COZY LATTÉ and was leaving... they had my favorite Poundcake so I got a piece to go and had it for desert! My morning "office" and second coffee of the day, I stopped here and spent a few hours enjoying the place with my coffee and bagel. Great service and a nice comfy space. I like the "booth" areas along the wall that are quite cool though they could use some more power outlets in each of them. My cortado was excellent. The bagel was nicely toasted and flavorful. While on vacation in Abingdon we tried Wolf Hills and made it a daily stop for the week. Coffee was good, nicely roasted and not bitter. The snacks we bought were also good, but the atmosphere is top notch. A little garden in back to cozy couches inside or a small intimate booth--lots of options for whatever suits you. read more

Will go again! We popped in to get take-away cappuccinos, but I was struck by how friendly the service was. The cappuccinos were wonderful too! And very well priced. The interior is artsy yet welcoming and they also have a divine selection of baked goods. Great little spot we found on our way through town. The husband needed coffee on our drive and Wolf Hills was open on Sunday. There are three spots in one. Coffee, tea, and cider. As it was 10am on a Sunday, we only tried coffee and a pastry. The coffee was tasty and hot. The pastry was a little dense but had good flavor. We did use some hot sauce on it that I had in my purse, and it would've been great with marinara (but I've got a marinara addiction, so there's that). We plan to come back for a date night. The inside was super cute with little cut out seating spots for the smallest bit of intimacy. Would love to try the ciders. And my husband drinks a lot of tea, so I'm sure he's interested in trying their teas. They have $5 burlap coffee sacks, and we got one of those. The owner was so helpful in us finding one we were particularly happy with. He brought us into the back and let us go through all of the sacks that they had available. Very friendly and very helpful. I love the atmosphere here as well as the coffee. The only thing is I wish they kept some specialty offers permanently on the menu as I absolutely loved this s'mores coffee but it was not available the next time that I went. They do always have neat new flavors to try though and this item may still be able to be made upon request, I'm unsure. I would definitely recommend checking them out though! read more

The designs and aesthetics were amazing. The staff was very kind to us. We bought a magnet and pin to support the business. The only thing that we thought needed improvement were the two baklava we ordered, peanut butter chocolate and walnut. They were overstuffed, causing the ratio to be way off. For me, it felt like biting into a giant ball of crusty peanut butter. That small improvement of lessening the filling (which would save them money anyways lol) was the only point loss.
