This is a pretty cool ice cream place because they make the ice cream right in front of you, then roll it up and put it into a cup. Quality ice cream, cool vibe, friendly staff. Recommended. And one more thing... I didn't realize the reason it was called Rendezvous until yesterday, and it's because it's the same owner as Greeko's across the parking lot. So, you can go for coffee and then a meal or a meal and then ice cream. Excellent thinking by owner.

This cafe bills itself as international, and the people there were indeed not what I'd expected in Southwestern Virginia. Nor was the menu, which offers a variety of crepes as well as bubble teas and some other mostly dessert options. My selection of a strawberry crepe with a bit of crunchy granola and chocolate delivered on flavor and texture. A bit pricey for what it was, but satisfying. Plenty of other sweets there looked worth trying, but I didn't have room. I was a bit miffed to get disposable cutlery with salt and pepper, which seems wasteful. The cuisine itself was worthwhile.

Absolutely LOVE this bistro! Went with my husband a few weeks ago after finding on Yelp and WOW! I had a hot matcha and a fruit parfait while my husband had one of the most Amazing (made in front of you) crepes I've ever tasted! The service in both front and back of house was top notch. Andre at the front answered all questions about their many concoctions of treats and drinks. We will be back!!!

Great place to get a quick bite to eat in Abingdon. We only had twenty minutes to get a quick lunch so we stopped at Rendezvous for a quick bite. They have a good variety of items but we all got the chicken salad on a croissant. The sandwich the came with a bag of chips. Tea for each of us and it was ready in about 5 minutes! The food was excellent and all three of us were pleased with both the speed of service and quality of the of food. The cafe is neat and clean. This family business is conveniently located near Barter Theater. Try the chicken salad! It is so good.

10/10 experience. Service is fantastic! They have the best ice coffee. It is a must try in Abingdon

Pistachio Rose cake: no one working there could explain what was inside of the cake, so here it is.

The outer cream of the pistachio rose cake is absolutely terrible. Do NOT recommend this. Lavazza coffee is nothing special either. My latte was very bland as well as their customer service. Everyone working there treated me indifferently in an uncaring way. They could not even tell me the name of an item right thinking that I as an Asian did not really know. Woolf Hills coffee is far professional.

My friend and I really enjoyed hanging out and catching up at Rendezvous. We had brunch there then looked around the shops in Abingdon, and came back for Ice Cream later. We were able to relax and enjoy a window view table. Service we friendly

Great little coffee shop with a good breakfast and lunch menu. Lots of savory and sweet crepes. The Greek crepe was great... but Oh... The Apple Pie Crepe! It was amazing! (better than apple pie!)

Rolled ice cream- the Tropical (vanilla ice cream with coconut, pineapple, and mango topped with whipped cream)

Good place for a light breakfast or lunch. Cinnamon, apple oatmeal was excellent, same goes for the parfet.

The Girl & The Raven has such a cool story behind it, and learning about the meaning of the raven in Native American folklore made the experience feel even more special. Then the food arrived... and suddenly conversation stopped because everyone was too busy saying, "You have to try this!" We ordered the breakfast bowl with sweet potatoes, arugula, and the famous hippy sauce, a gooey cinnamon bun, and the homemade daily biscuit sandwiches. Every single bite was phenomenal. The hippy sauce deserves its own fan club, the biscuit was flaky perfection, and the cinnamon bun disappeared so fast it should probably qualify as magic. Every dish was cooked to absolute perfection. You can tell it's crafted by Michelin trained chefs who know exactly what they're doing. Sarah Grace took amazing care of us. She was friendly, attentive, and somehow managed to make us feel like regulars even though we were just passing through. The restaurant itself is adorable, and the artwork covering the walls is stunning. We seriously considered playing a game of "How much luggage can we leave behind to make room for a painting?" If we hadn't packed the car for vacation, one of those paintings would have been riding shotgun all the way home. Come hungry, stay curious about the story, and don't be surprised if you leave wishing your vehicle had just a little more cargo space.

The service was wonderful, and the presentation was absolutely beautiful. We started with a delicious chilled lavender iced tea that was perfectly balanced not too sweet or overly floral and the Blue Eyes tea, which reminded us of a warm caramel apple. Both were excellent. Our tea service began with a fresh mixed greens salad topped with a strawberry and a lovely house dressing. Then came the tiered tower filled with an assortment of savory bites and sweet treats. My daughter was especially excited to discover her new favorite food: cucumber sandwiches! We finished with a light, creamy blackberry mousse style dessert that was the perfect ending. One thing we'll definitely do differently next time is allow more time and arrive hungrier. We didn't realize afternoon tea included so much food, so we found ourselves rushing a bit to make it to our show. The history of the building made the experience even more memorable. Learning that it's the oldest house and the third-oldest building in Abingdon was fascinating. Over the years it has served many purposes, including being home to a family with ten children and functioning as a Civil War hospital. We especially enjoyed learning that it was one of the few buildings spared from being burned because it cared for wounded soldiers from both sides. If you're visiting Abingdon, this is a charming experience that's well worth adding to your itinerary.

The owner, Miss Carrie, was very sweet and we ended up buying tea as gifts, plus ordered some scones and a mini peach pie in addition to a lavender sweet tea. The sweet tea was very good. The scone I had lacked a little flavor and the pie crust was good, but the peaches might not have been fully in season to make it as good as I recall peach pie to be. I do believe the fact I waited a day to eat them (was traveling) could have affected the flavors. I think overall the offerings were quite good and would recommend folx give her offerings a try.
