Bacon egg cheese on bagel. $6
Natalie P.

My husband and I were very happy that this place was open early for breakfast on a Monday morning. In a small town where nothing seems to open until 10 or 11, this market was open at 7am, and by the time we arrived at 8, they were serving made to order breakfast sandwiches. I ordered a BEC on a bagel which came out to about $6. The egg and bacon were made fresh. It was the good kind of griddle bacon too! Delicious! My husband had a biscuit sandwich which was good, but not filling. Again, everything made to order, but I suggest getting a bagel if you want a bigger portion than the biscuit. We sat outside and watched people slowly trickle in. This really is the only place, in town, open early on a Monday!

New cheese & charcuterie boards. $45. Very filling. Serves 3-4 or two entire meals for 2. They go fast. Call ahead if you really want one.

This market is certainly an eye-catcher in the town of downtown Blowing Rock. With it's old gas station looks, everyone is surprised to find out the Blowing Rock Market offers a great selection of local craft beers, food items (fresh sandwiches, frozen, and snacks), and more. Staff here are always nice, and you're certain to find a food item or beverage (or other product you need) while staying in town or even just shopping. Don't forget to try their delicious on-tap kombucha, when available. And make sure you ask for a cheese and charcuterie board to go if you're ever wanting a fun picnic in the park, overlooking the mountains, or the nearby lake. The company's Instagram account is worth a follow as there you'll be able to see there most recent creations (aka, making sure there's enough charcuterie boards left before selling out!)

Egg & swiss cheese sandwich

Cute market in downtown Blowing Rock! They sell breakfast sandwiches, lunch sandwiches and beer, wine, some local grocery products and baked goods. The Saturday morning I visited they had a banjo music circle outside and picnic tables outside. It was wonderful! The breakfast sandwich I tried was egg and cheese on sourdough bread. It was okay, but the atmosphere was good with the music and the relaxing vibe. We parked and walked to the market on Main Street. I suggest that because street parking is hard to find. They have bottled water too.

Not so grilled cheese...

Ordered a grilled cheese and there was nothing grilled about it. More like melted cheese on soft bread. So, disappointed! This place is better for their grocery and beer/wine selection vs. deli food.

Yucky veggie sandwich

This is a $10 sandwich. Old, flavorless, rough-chopped veggies, a thin layer of cheese, low quality bread, and ZERO condiments or sauce. Would have taken it back if we weren't miles down the road when I opened it. Subway does a better job than this bougie "gourmet" market. Gave 2 stars instead of one because it is a nice spot to get a beer and sit outside, but this sandwich is a real disappointment.

Cool little market and deli right on Main Street in Blowing Rock. They have a deli for sandwiches and generally a couple soups. They stock a ton of craft beer and have 5-6 beers on tap. They also carry a decent selection of wine. There some general groceries - milk, eggs, etc along with various locally made breads and sweets. They also have a Lady Fingers freezer with 'take and bake' items which is great. They have gone back and forth on gas and on this last visit they had one pump but no gas on either side. They have limited seating inside and out. BLK spot!

Market sandwich (vegetable) warm and on onion roll--incredible

Extremely slow take-out sandwich service. After waiting 20 minutes I canceled my order and left.

Granted I love anything eggplant haha but these fries were crispy on the outside and soft inside; well-seasoned and I loved the garlicky aioli. - Goat Cheese and Pancetta Salad: A close second favorite- it was so tasty (had spring mix, crispy brussels, pancetta, pepitas, goat cheese, fig vinaigrette), had a great combination of sweet/savory, and lots of texture. - Mushroom Marsala: This was the best pasta dish imo. The mushrooms & sauce provided a lot of umami and the pappardelle had good texture. For all the pasta dishes, a bigger piece of bread would have been appreciated to slop up all the delicious sauce haha. - Pasta Rossa: The sauce was tomato-y and creamy, but wish there could have been more/bigger meatballs and that a different pasta than pappardelle was used. - Chicken Alfredo: Honestly, I'm not a big fan of Alfredo at baseline bc it's usually too rich for me but my sister liked it. The fettuccine had nice texture and chicken was cooked well. - Duck Sliders: I probably would not recommend this dish- I think the duck is hard to appreciate in slider format (kinda just tasted like chicken lol). The chips were a bit soggy too. Lots of free parking available. Ambiance is really nice, modern and lots of natural light. Service is friendly and fast. 7.5/10 would recommend!

There is a decent amount of seating inside and outside. I also found the service to be warm and friendly with my food coming out promptly as it was made on the spot. I was raised in Hickory all my life, but never really ventured out to enjoy the local food scene. I am trying to do that a little bit more whenever I come back. I got the Turkey, Bacon, & Avocado sandwich without mixed greens. It was a really messy but a pretty good and filling meal. There was a bit too much avocado, but I liked the aioli as it added some flavor to the sandwich. Each sandwich also comes with a bag of chips! Overall, I would be interested in coming back and trying their other sandwiches... only if I had an out of town friend visiting. I think that the sandwiches are overpriced ($14 for a simple deli meat sandwich?). It also pains me to see their version of banh mi being priced that high as some of the best banh mi from Vietnamese-owned shops cost half that price. P.S. I see that Yelp has this spot listed as closed, but as of February 2026, it is definitely open!

It's supposed to be a more fair method where the emcees have random selections, however they seem to be easily persuaded to alter the order. The emcees typically let their friends go more often than others, and the removal of the typical chronological list makes the commitment to a simple night of karaoke particularly egregious. The model does not work and typically leaves patrons disappointed because they spent 4 hours at the bar just to sing once. I would appreciate if staff considered going back to the list signup so that we would know when we would be able to sing again. I think that the new setup has cost the bar significant attendance on Tuesdays, as now it is rarely full and does not cater to people who want to do karaoke within a set timeframe. It was much better when I and my friends could come and sing 3 songs in two hours and then leave at a reasonable time where now people have to wait 2 plus hours to sing between songs.
