As soon as I step into this store I feel calm, healthy and special ‍ There's no Earth Fare where I live so I pretty much visit every time I'm in Boone and if I have time I walk up and down all the aisles! The store is nicely arranged, shelves stay neat and well-stocked, and they offer so many products that you don't see anywhere else. I always check out the fresh baked goods, specialty canned coffees (for the car ride home!), snacks, yogurts, fresh pasta, and the clearance shelves in the back of the store. Staff is pleasant and knowledgeable. Most items are priced at a premium but, they are premium products, There are often good sales and a lot of items are fairly reasonable. The ladies' room could usually use a little attention and/or something in it is often broken, but I appreciate the fact that they have public restrooms available. During the pandemic when we could not enter our App student's dorm and many restaurants were closed, I'm not sure where else we might have been able to visit after driving up the mountain, and to me that is more important!! They always have a lovely selection of plants and fresh flowers at the front of the store to greet you, these made a lovely gift for our student after dance performances. read more

The employees are cheerful and diverse. Unlike Chic Fillet, Earthfare accepts and welcomes customers and employees that have lifestyles that are inclusive and warm. The food is more flavorful having been made a few hours before opening. I had an egg salad croissant that was refreshing and rich. The suppliers are aware that the best tasting food is not made in industrial parks but on smaller farms. I shop at Earthfare for many reasons but their fruit is crisp and bright. The choices were amazing. The service was very personable and I love this store. If only there was an Earth Fare in Gastonia, North Carolina! There's not really a healthy true organic fresh foods with the array of choices like Earth Fare in Gastonia. I'm sure you would do well there. I visited the Boone store and was so excited to find such an amazing selection I spent almost $300. Not hard to do on clean food. I love this Earth Fare! I've been to a few others in a different state, but this one is certainly unique. It makes me feel so happy every time I walk in, and I 100% stop in here every time I'm visiting Boone. At this time in my life, the price range is a little out of my budget, but that's all Earth Fares. I still come by for the best ever chicken salad (traditional with pecans and cranberries, curry, and southwestern are my favorites!) I also love the numerous healthy drink and unhealthy drink (aka beer and wine, lol) options to choose from. There are plenty of snacks, fruits, veggies, cheeses... and tons of products to shop for yourself or others, including a nice card section! I highly recommend checking this place out. I try to always stop by Earth Fare whenever I am in Boone. As a frequent Whole Foods shopper, I can say that Earth Fare is extremely similar in terms of product offerings and prices. I like visiting this Earth Fare because it is much more serene and quiet in atmosphere--whereas Whole Foods stores can oftentimes feel a bit busy and chaotic. A must visit for anyone into organic grocery options! read more

I used to be a huge fan of earthfare but today officially marked the last day I'll visit this store again. With Publix amazing customer service I will not return to Earthfare to be subjected to staff who really do not want to be there. I received an ad in email with a special price on tomatoes and the ad couldn't pull up on my phone being out of range of WiFi. The cashier Brandon was curt and insulted me while the line of customers grew. I finally went to the restaurant area to get closer WiFi range and pulled up the ad to prove I was being honest about it. Very poor customer service and actually upper management should have had the email ad posted and logged in their register So no more abuse from earthfare I'll go to Publix where customer is treated like gold! read more

I came here with the primary objective of buying some local beer to take with me back with me out of state. A very nice gentleman was able to help me out regarding a few specific requests I had regarding Appalachian Mountain Brewery beer. Then the cashier was super apologetic when something rang up incorrectly. Thumbs up to the Earth Fare staff. The secondary objectives of us buying some crackers and tea were also achieved. There was an excellent 40th anniversary sale going on so we were able to snatch up boxes of tea at a steal. I didn't explore the whole store but it seemed like your typical Earth Fare. On another note, a while ago, I subscribed to the Earth Fare e-mail list for coupons and sales but I unsubscribed since they regularly send six e-mails a week. Unless you're sending free money with each message, who wants six e-mails a week from a company? Not me. read more

Oh wow I don't remember walking out of a store so angry before. While strolling through this little Earth Fare , trying to get a little lunch I noticed that they carry grass fed beef from Australia I think this is absolutely crazy, beef is already bad for the environment but flying it to the USA from Australia? That just blows me away. I asked the young girl at the register if she thinks that to be ok but she just giggled shyly . As we paid with a $50 bill she needed change and a customer service person showed up( blond , glasses , young) and gave her two 10$ bills. A good chance to ask her about the beef and it's carbon foot print ,she shrugged her shoulders and told me that she guesses it's the trade off for guaranteed grass fed beef. I was so mad and asked her if there are no farms local that have grass fed beef or , well anywhere closer than Australia? She literally turned around and waved me away, no joke... So far for customer service! I live in Asheville and am a member of Healthy Rewards , this was not my first visit at Earth Fare I go there a lot. Maybe this one should invest in some behavior workshops for their employees, but it actually doesn't matter because I surly won't be back. read more

Love it--1 protein and two sides for $6.00 I just got a monster plate for dinner on a budget;). Looks like this store is well loved becuase the stock is turned over very frequently from what I could tell. Not a whole paycheck type of grocery store, but very very very good quality organic/non gmo/gluten free/ whatever you are looking for. read more

I was visiting Boone from Chicago. I'm used to Whole Foods, personally which is pretty comparable to Earth Fare. It was nice to find a store with organic options and responsibly raised fish and meat. I really enjoyed walking around this cute little market. Only thing that bothered me was their lack of pre made food. There wasn't much of a selection unfortunately. Otherwise, I really enjoyed shopping here. read more

While in town for a mini-college reunion, we stopped in here for some provisions. I know of these stores, but have never been in one. I wanted to go to see if they had any different vegetarian "meat" stuff. And they did! I got 4 flavors of a product I've never had (http://itsallgoodfoods.com/), plus some TVP, and some Yves veggie canadian bacon (this is all stuff that I can't get in my hometown). This place is like a smaller Whole Foods. Good stuff. read more
