People are nice. Place is always super clean and well stocked. They also always have plenty of cashiers to get you thru the lines fast.

Awesome spot with complimentary EV charging! Stopped by after C45 climbing and picked up Caesar salad pinwheels and procuring rolls. Also charged up my T baby a bit. Good selection of food and drinks, nice seating area inside- hung out there and did some reading/work. Also this is right by the greenway entrance so I went for a short run too. read more

Not wanting a full sit-down meal, I did a quick "snack" shop here at Publix. We found some drinks, some candies and then wandered over to the sushi section where I found a really nice poke bowl. Healthy! Despite the late hour - Saturday 7:30pm - the store was clean and tidy. The aisles were bright and the shelves were stocked. There were no carts outside in the corrals and no litter. Wowza! Yelp Yelp-a-roo! You would love it too! This is one of the most awesome and efficient Publix stores we have ever shopped in. They couldn't be nicer. Be prepared to have at least four people ask if you need help finding anything. Although it's farther from our house than we are used to, we make several trips a week here and look forward to the excellent service and items offered each time. The bakery has a wonderful assortment of fresh bread and baked desserts. Even their pastries taste better than other stores. We were delighted to find a nice no sugar added selection of choices for those in our family avoiding sugar. The meat and seafood departments are well stocked with fresh items. Even fresh wild salmon was offered. I give this store an A+ for perfection. Thank you, Publix! read more

The best thing about Publix is how they treat the customer! The products and displays are perfect. The prices are fair. Each week there is something new on sale. Buy one , get one free. They will always ask if your finding everything and point you in the direction to go, or look it up on their computer and walk you to the specific area. Always so friendly and welcoming. The stores are always clean, well lit and easy to find items. The pharmacy is also wonderful with a very helpful staff. read more

I have been shopping at Publix for over 25 years in Florida. Always pleased with service however the Boone Publix service is less than stellar. Generally long lines at the checkout counters. Self check out doesn't reliably work without assistance. Today a catering order was not available as promised at the catering center. The shoppers for pick up and delivery do not obey the arrows and rudely turn their cart around after finding the item only to run into customers following the arrows. Previously shopped at Harris Tweeter prior to Publix coming to Boone and suspect I need to reconsider which supermarket I patronize. read more

Although a bit expensive, this place has all kinds of things you cannot find elsewhere in Boone. And every employee is so nice and helpful. Offering to help if they see you looking at the signs on top to locate something. This is a great place to shop. People do make all the difference. read more

Having grown up going to one with my mom essentially my entire childhood and at-home-adult life, I am a life-long Publix customer and fan. I could go on and on about how their meat and seafood selections are much better quality and tasting than other places, produce fresher, dates on items are hardly ever expired, deli subs are heavenly, and employees are friendly, but I will isolate my review to this specific Publix in Boone. I am *that person* who made an effort to visit the morning of the grand opening day. It was a fun time meeting employees, receiving free giveaways, and tasting different foods. Since then, I have shopped here multiple times. I've gone in for quick trips through the self-checkout and long hauls waiting in line. I order subs in person or online through their website to pick up. It's always a successful trip. The employees are so kind and friendly, yet are not too annoying (ha, trust me; it's a thing.) Every once in a while when I am visiting someone in a different town and can't shop at a Publix, I remember that I take this grocery store for granted and then feel exceptionally excited to return (read: I'm a loser). Anyway, I am prompted to write this review today because yesterday as I was in the bakery section, I overheard an elderly man asking a Publix employee if they had a certain type of bread available. The employee helped him search their offerings, saw there wasn't any available, and told the baker. The baker came out and said she would go ahead and bake a fresh loaf for him immediately so that it could be ready for him by the time he finished the rest of his grocery shopping trip. This is clearly exceptional customer service and is something to be recognized. Not all the time do people realize how important something like being able to take home a simple breakfast bread for an older man could be. This was recognized yesterday, and for that, I am very proud and appreciative of my neighborhood Publix in Boone!! read more

This new, outstanding Publix next to the post office has flourished in a very short time in this small mountain town, flourishing with local residents and part-time residents from Florida who are very familiar with the Publix brand. Publix, headquartered in Lakeland, Florida has expanded rapidly throughout the southeast. The stores, particularly this one, are the epitome of a modern grocery store. read more

This's fancy Publix store I'v ever seen and I'v lived for years in Florida. It has all my favorite organic vegan products at best price! Now I can do my shopping all in one store. Publix has best sushi in Boone with high quality fish as well as the best price, you can get brown rice sushi on Wednesdays for $5. And selection and presentation of fish section is amazing. A good store, in my book. I visited this market today, and, having been to several other Publix locations, I can say that the newly opened Boone branch is right up there with the rest of 'em. This store offers the same, quality shopping experience I've come to associate with the franchise: good service, a comfortable floorplan, a pleasing stock of products, including an above-average selection of organics and the like. Also, this particular store features a full-fledged supplement section, in the vein of Whole Foods, rather than a simple "pharmacy" with only cheap, questionable vitamins. Being from South Florida I grow up going to Publix and since moving to NC it has been hard without one, closest one to where my folks live is in SC. But now that there is one in Boone, I felt like I was back in FL. It blow my mind away at how big this store is, so many new things to look at I felt like I was in Heaven (as a food photographer thats a good thing) The smells of the deli, bakery and the breads oh my god the breads! Knowing that their breads are so good and how their known for having good Cuban bread, I asked about them not knowing if they would have it with this location, but so happy to hear that they do. If you want them I was told to go early in the morning because by afternoon the authentic Cuban breads where sold out, plus when I went in they where restocking what breads they had. And if you have a need to sit down and eat because of all the loving smells of food or something just looks so good you cannot wait till you get home they do have a dinning area. read more

I am thrilled that Publix finally came to Boone. Publix is known for their quality, customer service, and cleanliness. I went there on Opening Day and was not disappointed. I was greeted at the door and asked if I needed help multiple times throughout the store. At the meat section I picked up a prime rib that was a little too big...no problem one of the meat employees took it away and had it cut to size for me. At the checkout the lines flowed smoothly. Another employee called me over to an open register and she put my items on the conveyor belt. I realized I forgot one item and the cashier called someone else and within 1 minute they brought it to me. After my groceries were bagged I was asked if I needed help to my car. On top of that I saved quite a bit of money from their BOGO and also on their meat deals...and no need for a card at Publix:) I went back today and bought the biggest Prime Rib roast they had and had them cut the whole thing into steaks. I also picked up another gas card for 20% off. You can't beat that. Publix is now my #1 local grocery store. Thank you Publix. You should blow your competition away. Good luck. read more

I can not give this store more than 3 stars mainly because of the way the deli is managed. First of all when I walk up to the deli counter and look at the food display, most of the time the food looks gross! The least they could do would be to stir & re-arrange their food items every half hour to preserve freshness & appearance. Secondly, why on earth do they almost never have a cashier who can receipt your purchase at the counter enabling you to eat in the dining area. I don't want to have to walk over to the checkout area, then back to the dining area only to eat cold food! Lastly don't advertise your deli to be open until 9pm, then clean up & quit serving @8:30pm as I'm rushing over there to purchase dinner before your advertised closing time! I've been disappointed too many times now, so I don't even bother going there after 7:30pm. read more

Words just will not do this Publix justice. We have a couple local Publix in Melbourne Florida. Know us buy name, clean, friendly and always helpful. Having said that, this place is a major cut above.(see what I did there?). The best I have ever been treated by a butcher. Went totally out of his way to make our purchase as special as we had asked. Staff asked us numerous times if we were finding what we needed and at check out as usual. Just blown away. The cuts of meat were as tasty as they looked. Best grocery store I have visited! The place was clean and organized! The cashier actually had a conversation with us... how often does that happen? And the young man at the seafood counter even offered we can ask for items in advance, and he will have them ordered. Wonderful atmosphere! read more
