Came in for a post lunch pick me up since I was in the area during the holiday season. The holiday decorations inside weren't over the top but definitely pleased any holiday lover. There isn't too much space for working. If you do sit somewhere you'll probably be sitting next to a stranger. There isn't too much space to wait for your drink while standing either. I'm not sure how packed it usually gets in the morning but there wasn't too many people there on a week day. Coffee - Eggnog Latte was definitely one of the best I've had. Eggnog flavor wasn't too overpowering and there was a good balance of sweetness and bitterness of the espresso throughout the drink. Service - The barista was wonderful and patient as I looked through the holiday drinks and asked for personal recommendations. read more

Camp is a favorite when I visit from Chicago! The Camp (s'mores) latte half sweet with coconut milk (make sure you drink it there) see my pictures it's a piece of art with those marshmallows, warm, and yummy. The vibe inside is cozy and I purchased the coolest set of books from a local author I like they support that. Thank you! read more

Stopped by as we did a mini Oceanside foodie thing and saw this place also had vegan options (pastries as well). Was happy to see they offer some vegan pastries from Split house. I ordered the Nitro cold brew + coconut cold foam and the lavender flavor pastry. I really wanted to like the coffee, but I could not taste coconut after a couple of sips. I did blend the foam well and it tasted watered down after the blending. Maybe next time I'll pick something that is not coconut based to see if the coconut foam might have been the issue. As for the pastry ... It was good, but a little dry. They have other options that looked delish and plan to try next time I visit. Service was great though! read more

Camp Coffee has amazing coffee, pastries, and lattes. It's very clear that they only use top quality ingredients and that their equipment is top-notch because hands-down, best coffee in town and complimenting the coffee the barista's and ownership are rock solid. The ambience and location is great given the close proximity to the beach and train station. read more

My sister introduced me to this coffee shop and whenever I'm in downtown oceanside this is where I will go! While I wish they offered a larger sizes for their coffees, I cannot complain as what I get is quality. The service is fast yet warm. The inside space is small but there is lots of seating outside. One of my favorite food items is the grilled cheese with prosciutto cheddar and havarti, it's delicious! read more

Can be better quite honestly, the size is decent, but I probably won't be back because they don't offer anything bigger than 12 ounce on days like today that I need an extra extra kick 12OZ won't do it lol! But the taste was good not great but good, this is coming from a very picky coffee drinker I give it a 7 out of 10 read more

I've been to Camp Coffee before and it never disappoints, but the molasses vanilla latte was a first for me -- and it might be my new favorite thing on the menu. The molasses gives it this deep, almost smoky sweetness that regular vanilla syrups just can't touch. It tastes intentional and interesting without being fussy. The espresso is bold enough to hold its own against the richness, and the milk was steamed to that perfect silky texture. Nothing felt cloying or over-sweetened, which is rare when you've got two flavor components working together. read more

Tried Camp Coffee for the first time and I'm officially obsessed. Coffee: 10/10 -I ordered their Camp Mocha and--no exaggeration--it was unbelievable. Smooth, rich, chocolatey without being overly sweet, and perfectly balanced with espresso that actually tastes like quality coffee. You can tell they take their craft seriously here. Service: 10/10 Customer service? Top tier. The baristas were welcoming, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the drinks they're serving. No rush, no attitude--just good vibes and good people who clearly love what they do. Coffee Shop Vibes: 10/10 -The aesthetic of the shop matches their menu perfectly. Think cozy meets modern rustic--woodsy touches, warm lighting, and minimalist design that somehow makes you feel like you're tucked away in a stylish little cabin. It's the kind of place where you want to hang out for hours with a book, a laptop, or just your thoughts and a killer cup of coffee. Camp Coffee gets everything right. It's a standout in Oceanside and absolutely worth the visit. read more

I've been to this establishment twice, the first time I got a matcha latte and i didn't really like it because I usually like more of a thick matcha but the owner was really nice as well as the workers. The second time I went I got a Smoked Salt Maple Latte and it was delicious 10/10, I stayed to do my work and the ambiance was really nice. read more

The coffee was pretty good and so was the grilled cheese though it was not served as advertised. The sign said grilled havarti and fig butter on sourdough. I got just a plain grilled cheese. It was good but could have used something. Anything. The fig butter as advertised would have been nice. Even pepper. Or a tomato slice. Mustard. Anything. read more

Their coffee is good! I liked the place, it was very warmth. Customer service wasn't so good tho but I liked the overall experience.

Located a few blocks down from the pier. We had a great walk to it on a beautiful sunny day. I was pleasantly welcomed and greeted. The barista was really nice! I ordered the campfire iced and it was amazing! I really enjoyed it. They also offer pasties and breakfast sandwiches. I think I seen the breakfast sandwiches for $5 which is a great price. They also offer law enforcement and military discounts which I thought was sweet! There is plenty of seating inside and outside on the patio. I would definitely take the walk here again! read more

TRAIN STOP COFFEE SHOP (3 stars) This is right in the heart of downtown Oceanside near the train station. Do expect a lot of unusual traffic of people if you know what I mean. Lots of randoms walking by talking to themselves or yelling out some nonsense. Bathrooms are for customers only but there were so many randoms coming through to use the restroom (one dude came in and dropped deuces because he was in there for a hot minute while a line of 4+ started to grow). BLACKBERRY LEMON POPPY MINI LOAF ($4.50) - vegan and gluten free. I need to stay away from vegan and gluten free pastries... they never do me any justice. This pastry was pretty but a perfect waste of money. I usually love this mix in a pastry but their version was extremely dry and crumbly - kind of stale and old tasting. I tried to like every bite but I was forcing myself. CAMP MOCHA ($6) - s'mores inspired. I am a s'mores lover so anything s'mores is my forte. I've had hot beverages similar to this one and this tasted just like all others. This would be perfect on a cold day (the day I had it was not a cold day). It had good rich flavor of chocolate which paired well with the marshmallows to dilute the chocolateness. HIGHLY RECOMMEND Until the next review.. read more

The lemon blueberry scone was amazing. Most cafes have pretty mid pastries - dry, overly sweet, cardboard-y. I usually avoid buying food from coffee shops, but the kid wanted one. When I broke a piece off, I was surprised at how soft the texture was. Also ordered an iced camp mocha with oat milk, which per their description was "smores" inspired. Delicious. Wish I lived around here as this is precisely the establishment I would frequent. Street parking, free, but limited. Located in an area that is a pain to drive due to the number of pedestrians going to the beach. read more

Ok after checking reviews we had to try it ourselves, not disappointed one bit, i had the campfire mocha iced and definitely good espresso coffee used, comes right through the toasted marshmallows on top with the wipe cream and cinnamon sprinkles, also had a blackberry banana nut muffin, was very good, along with that had the grilled cheese with cheddar prosciutto and pisto spred, omg amazing to say the least, will be back every time we are visiting oceanside, we're local in Riverside county read more

Located in a cute area of Carlsbad! Close by the beach and a decent amount of street parking. There is also a customer parking garage behind the shop. I ordered the Molasses Vanilla Latte. Very solid! Not too sweet and the espresso flavor was still there. It also wasn't too milky. I don't know what molasses tastes like on its own but either way is still a good latte. The shop is kind of small on the inside but there's still a few tables if you want to come and study. My drink came out super fast and the workers were very kind. I would definitely come again if I was in the area! read more

Pitched my tent at Camp Coffee on a busy afternoon. The space is light, bright, welcoming and the staff are so friendly and attentive. Decided to go with one of their house specials, the Camp S'mores Mocha. The mocha flavor is delicious, complete with cinnamon, your choice of milk and two toasty marshmallows on top. Some excellent coffee flavors here for your caffeine fix. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating available, although, the proximity to the beach could limit your street parking options. The bathroom, for customers only, is clean and well-stocked. Camp Coffee is one of the best coffee destinations in Oceanside. Make sure you set your compass to check them out! read more

Camp Coffee - Camp S'mores Mocha. - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Oceanside, California

If you're in Oceanside and want a little caffeine boost, Camp Coffee is a solid place to stop before continuing your exploration of Oceanside, or heading to the Oceanside Transportation Center for your next adventure. Another perk is that Camp Coffee is located a few short blocks from the beach! Both times, I ordered the hot camp mocha. First visit, the mocha hit the spot. More recently, the camp mocha tasted watered down in both flavor and espresso. Maybe it was an off day. The barista was nice, though! Camp Coffee has a variety of seating inside and outside, depending on your needs, and I think there are some plugs for powering your electronic(s). The shop has a chill vibe and is cutely decorated, offering a cozy ambiance, tracking with the camping theme. Worth checking out if you're in the area! read more
