这家意面店不错,菜品多是美国人常爱吃的经典口味,价格也合理。地理位置也很好,绝对是个适合坐在户外、悠闲享受美食的好地方。 Good pasta place with many of the standard American favorites at a reasonable price. The location is also quite nice. Definitely a good place to just sit outside and enjoy a nice meal.

Best food and service! Honestly the food is so delicious and they don't skimp on their portions! Always fresh ingredients and everyone is so helpful.

Cajun chicken linguine (back), chicken Caesar w avocado (front)

In a sea of expensive eateries in downtown Santa Barbara, California Pasta offers a solid serving of food for a decent price. Definitely designed as a takeout establishment, you order at the counter in the restaurant, find a seat outdoors in the plaza, and anxiously wait for someone to find you and unite you with your food. We tried their Cajun chicken linguine and a chicken Caesar salad. The salad was absolutely delicious, with a generous serving of (slightly dry but not bad) grilled chicken. The linguine was less creamy than anticipated, but still had a rich and spicy kick. All in all, a good choice for when hunger strikes in downtown SB.

Visited this place with some friends during my bachelorette in Santa Barbara. This is a quick lunch spot located on state street. You order your food and the bring the food to your table. Although the place is very cute and conveniently located on state street I was not impressed with their food. I got the Caesar chicken salad and it was not the best in my opinion.

Penne pasta & Garlic bread

One of the best casual Italian spots in Santa Barbara. The pasta here tastes fresh and authentic -- you can really tell they focus on quality ingredients and proper flavors instead of overcomplicating things. The sauces are rich and well balanced, and the pasta texture is exactly how it should be: perfectly cooked and not mushy. Portions are generous, which makes it great value for Santa Barbara where many places tend to be pricey. Service was friendly and quick, and the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. It's the kind of place where you can enjoy a satisfying meal without the pretentious vibe that some tourist restaurants have. If you're in Santa Barbara and craving good pasta, this place is definitely worth visiting.

California Pasta is one of our favorite restaurants! At times we eat here back to back days. The food is extremely fresh & delicious with fast service and friendly staff! It's a must visit restaurant and truly a hidden gem in Santa Barbara!

Solid Italian casual food! Sausage penne with a side of Caesar salad was good enough to share. Staff is super friendly and service is great.

Great food, big portions, quick service, outdoor seating, inside Paseo Nuevo. We ordered take-out, we enjoyed the sun-dried chicken farfalle pasta & the Chinese chicken salad.

Ordered to go Awkward customer service they just starred at us blankly and said " we think this is your order " Then when we started eating we noticed a bug marinated in the Cesar salad disgusting Avoid at all costs

Thai Fusion Beef Linguine

If you are a fan of Asian style stir fry noodle or simply want to try something other than traditional tomato based or creamy pasta, the Thai fusion linguine is definitely the one to pick. It's so yummy!!!! I'm so obsessed with this dish and have had it for so many times. Definitely worth trying. I very rarely post comments on Yelp, but I went through the popular dishes on yelp for this restaurant and didn't find this dish. This, I decide to write this comment and hopefully more foodie will discover this hidden gem.

Thai Fusion linguine

I was hungry and wanted to eat something yummy, authentic and quick. There's a lot of chain stores on State Street and a few pockets with small businesses and I'm so happy I found one. California pasta has really awesome Fusion choices and their seats inside and outside. It was packed outside and inside! I put an online order in and my food was ready on time. I knew I wanted to try the Thai fusion linguine and the food taste just like the photo... Delicious! The service was really fast and they were really polite.

Santa Barbara Spicy Shrimp Pasta
Catherine G.

Pretty popular place, but we got there around 12pm and were there before the rush we saw when we passed by later. Portion sizes were good and at a relatively reasonable price. Santa Barbara Spicy Shrimp Pasta: 5/5 - very creamy sauce that worked well with the sausage and shrimp Grilled Salmon Salad: 4/5 - dressing was thicker than expected but flavor was pretty good

God I love this place. Kids meals are the perfect portions and for cheap! Love the chicken pesto panini. Always my default spot to get a meal downtown that's not crazy overpriced. Nice workers too

Live in SF now and nothing can compare, not even in North Beach. Spent my birthday weekend in SB and had to stop here. Got my favorite dish, the farfalle allegria, which was amazing and just how I remembered it. Service is always so wonderful. Our server, Tasha, was so kind and sweet. You can't go wrong with any of the dishes here. Must get the tiramisu! Hope to be back soon!

Italian was on the menu tonight and Yelp brought us here…read more Via Maestro 42 has a small interior mostly made up of two top tables, and then an outside covered area within the parking lot. On this fine March evening, we opted to sit outdoors. I was concerned with how much lighting there would be once the sun set but they didn't really have any four tops available inside for us. (In the end, the interior lights from the neighboring business helped illuminate our table that was directly in front of the restaurant, and not necessarily under the outside covered area.) After we put in our order and received the complimentary bread (with the provided olive oil), we were questioning whether we had ordered too much food. We attempted to ask the waiter if it was too much and he didn't really answer our question. And since there was only one table next to us and he was dining solo, it was hard to gauge the portion sizes. We ordered: * Antipasto Sampler Platter $19.95 - A generous selection from their deli case, perfect for sharing. The butter bean with tuna salad was a first for me and has me thinking of how to incorporate more butter beans in my diet. Other items included grilled zucchini, grilled eggplant, mixed olives, farro salad, green beans, salami, tomato and mozzarella. * Bucatini all'Amatriciana $22.95 - We opted for this as it was a described as a traditional dish from he Lazio region. It was enjoyed by all. * Linguine con Vongole $26.95 - Next to arrive was the linguine, which was the absolute favorite for us all. It was light, filled with clams, and just had a great taste overall. * Farfalle al Pesto $19.95 - The Little Gal wanted pesto, but this version was so heavy. It was exhausting to eat and probably our least favorite. * Polenta Del Montanaro $21.95 - The mushrooms and polenta sounded amazing, but again this was very heavy for us. There were also a few hard bits of polenta mixed in. It was just overwhelming in not the best way. Overall, the portions are HUGE and just perfect for sharing. We would have dreaded being stuck with one dish on our own as it's just too much. We were also concerned about the $3.95 split charge fee that may apply, hence why we went with four entrees. You can easily get your fill with a few items here without breaking the bank. I can definitely see why they have such great ratings. The restroom is located in the back, so you do need to walk outside to access the restroom. I guess this avoids having you walk through the kitchen to get there. Service was fine. We did have one primary waiter but the other staff stepped in when necessary. It was pretty busy for a weekday evening, at least for all the outside tables. Since it's a bit away from the touristy area, you do get a sense there are more locals enjoying this spot.

It is a small space so we were seated very close to two other tables (the kind of close where it's hard to focus on your own convo). We ordered the Caesar Salad to start. I feel like I've had this exact salad (as in gem lettuce, breadcrumbs, lemony dressing) other places executed a little better. The breadcrumbs were almost too hard creating a grainy/sandy texture rather than a nice crunch. Good flavor though. We also got the Meatballs "Alla Vodka." This was the highlight of the meal for me. My husband thought they could've used more of a binder but personally I liked that they felt more meaty than bready. I recommend using the spoon to eat the meatballs so you get enough sauce with each bite. Don't want any of that delicious sauce to go to waste! We got the pepperoni pizza for our entree. This pizza was just okay to me based on my personal preferences so take this with a grain of salt! I'm not the biggest sourdough person and since the pizza is fermented it has a similar flavor. I also wish that the pizza was a little less charred. I think it was more burnt on top than charred but maybe that's what they're going for and I'm just not the audience. We enjoyed the pepperoni pizza with the house ranch. I really enjoyed this bc I prefer a dill-heavy ranch and this definitely delivered that! Overall, solid meal and would come back. Our server was a little awkward but didn't really affect our experience all that much.

The margherita was cheesy, flavorful, and super well-balanced (not overly salty or greasy, which is rare). Just clean, simple, done right.
