If I ever have to go to a body repair shop again it will never be Caliber Collision. They have had my car for over two months! It was vandalized, the paint on my car was scratched up so my insurance recommended Caliber collision, took it ther, was promised I would have it back in approximately 2 to 3 weeks, I am now going on week 9 without my car. My car went in there with only scratches and I drive by and there is a huge hole cut in the door, the windows are all rolled down and it's pouring rain outside, I then call early Monday to ask what is going on only to find out that they jammed the back door so bad that they couldn't get it opened and had to cut it open! They ordered a new door and who knows what else we are now waiting on and who knows what other damage they caused by leaving the windows down durning pouring rain over the weekend! Never will I go there again or recommend anyone going there. read more

This place is a joke. I brought my Pontiac grand prix to them in hopes of them fixing my car. They quoted the insurance company $3500 for the body work (which totalled my car out) but when I told them to go ahead with the repair, the cost jumped up by over $1000 after the insurance company left the picture. Now the total for the repair is climbing past $4500. When I asked them why price increased, they told me that now I need shocks, brakes, control arm, and a new hub for my wheel. As insulted as I felt, I told them I would take my car back and have my mechanic look at the troubled parts. Funny enough, there was nothing mechanically wrong with my car. On top of all that, caliber collision disconnected my emergency brake, put 8 miles on my car, cut 2 wiring harnesses off (one of which is for my headlight) and put my fender and bumper back on with bungee cords neglecting to replace all bolts and body clips. Very Welcome and knowledgeable place. They communicate timelines and fixes great. Got me first in line to painting and alignment at a couple other shops aswell. Had to go through my insurance for someone that hit me and sometimes you get shops that cant match paint or one side is high or lower then the other. Not this shop i had damage to my front passenger side and they have to replace it all. You expect to look in front of my vehicle and see the difference from side to side but you cant, these guys cleaned up even my driver headlight best as they could and there is hardly anything noticeable unless you been driving in daily like me. Are too lazy to go get parts from the local store always got to wait from the order to cross the country

I had an accident with some jerk on the freeway. Insurance had these guys on their list of approved repair shops, and that was great because the work just next door to me. Got there, got my estimate, and scheduled the repair for the following week. They kept it for a few days, were very attentive to my cars needs, and gave it back to be brand new. No more scratches or dents on my driver's side. It was expensive, but that's where the insurance helped me out, and I definitely think it was money well spent, because I know they did the job right. I had called the day before it was done, and I got a call back pretty quickly apologizing and letting me know it would be another day. It was no problem for me to do that as I had someone picking me up anyway, but I appreciated their obvious concern and immediate follow up. All in all, the whole experience was smooth-sailing, and I would definitely recommend to any friends or family (Actually, I already have... there was another accident! (not me though)). Will be back if I ever need any more car fixes, though I hope that won't be for quite a while. read more

Yes - as good as it gets. After a prior good experience with the predecessor Gilson Auto Body, I drove into Caliber today with my MBZ that had a bruised my front fender. My wife gave me a full ration of hard times as it was definitely my fault. Anyway, their estimator (Charlie) came out and banged a distorted plastic part back into place, then he told me to pull up to one of their roll up doors. When I arrived there, one of their guys (Ernie) took a rag with some lacquer thinner on it and rubbed vigorously on the "bruised" area. Magically the bruise and the transferred grey paint came off the bumper. Wa-laa! No more damage except a very small crease in the plastic. Too small to bother repairing. Caliber could have stiffed me for $600-800 on a repair, but their honesty and integrity earned all of my future business. Kudos , kudos, kudos! read more

My wife and I had the most awful experience at Caliber after a minor collision, and what should have been an easy fix. Integrity is not their strong point. Their "repairs" caused additional, unrelated damage and cost to us which they refuse to be accountable for. They opened up our ignition, which was working fine before, and then did not replace it properly, costing us several hundred dollars. The manager denied that they ever went in to the ignition even though we have e-mails indicating just that! The rear window latch - which was not damaged in the collision- was also messed with, and we had to pay several hundred dollars out of pocket for our own mechanic to fix. The paint job was sloppy with streaks on our bumper--which they deny. We have lodged a formal complaint with our insurance company. Avoid going to this place at all costs- they make mistakes and then are not accountable for them. They will treat you like a criminal if you complain about the damage they did to your car! read more

My husbands pride in joy was in a collision accident and at the suggestion of our insurance company we took his baby to Caliber for assessment and repair. They communicated with us diligently through the process and was able to get our car back to us very quickly even though they lost power for half a day. I hope to never have another accident but in the event I need auto body repair again we will definitely use Caliber Collision. We all had bad customer care at times and it's frustrating at best. I was a Gilson Autobody customer and they treated me very well. I went back to the same place, now Caliber. I had various levels of satisfaction there but this is what I want to point out about my last experience: An internal mistake was fixed. I cannot point out a mistake if the business took every effort to make it right. I want to thank Caliber, especially their manager John for being knowledgeable, having integrity, and not abandoning the process midway. I especially am impressed that John represented the business in an honest and ethical way. All in all, things were sorted out in a timely manner. I will go back because of how focused Caliber was about having me stay a happy customer. Keep it up guys, this was a good experience. Thank you for all your efforts. read more

I recently had an accident and my insurance company recommend Caliber Collison. There are two within a few miles of each other. The one that told me they could repair my vehicle the quickest was the Caliber Collison on Glendale. I too my truck to them two days before Christmas and was told that I would have my truck back in three weeks. They had my vehicle for three weeks, when I received a call telling me that it would be another 30 plus days, because of the part, which was a pickup bed, was in short supply. I was furious, they had my truck for three weeks and hadn't even ordered the parts until the day they called me. I decided to take my vehicle to a different shop. I informed my insurance company and they told Caliber of my decision. I talked to Stacey, who is the general manager and he told me I could pick my vehicle up in a couple of days. When I went to pick it up, it was undriveable, they had removed the old bed,removed the rear window, taken out the back seats, and removed the driver's door panel. Stacey had told me it would be ready to go, that he had to put the rear window back in. When I got there to get my vehicle and saw it in parts and pieces, I was furious again. Then to add insult to injury Stacey told me that he was not going to replace the rear window, even though that was supposedly why I had to wait to get my vehicle back. I told him,that I I wasn't leaving until the rear window was reinstalled. He begrudgingly call his glass guy to come and put in. During the time that I was waiting for the glass guy Stacey told me that my truck need a five foot seven inch be bed and that they were hard to find. I used that information and went online and found one on Craigslist. I took my vehicle to a different shop and took them the new bed. They had to paint it to match the color of my truck. When they went to reinstall the bed it was foot too short, it really needed a six foot four inch bed. Stacey had lied to me again. This is the Worst Body Shop in the Reno / Sparks area. Stacey is the biggest Liar I have ever been unfortunate enough to deal with. Wait, it gets better, when I got the right bed, the body shop called to tell me that there were parts missing for the rear seat and a piece of trim for the roof was missing. When I went Caliber, Stacey the Liar told me that they didn't have either piece and turned around and walked back into his office. In other words screw me. read more

I had my 2014 Dodge Journey repaired by you shop, Your repair shop was recommended by the person who hit me insurance company. I have no problem with the repair it is what happened after that really made me angry. When I brought the journey in I also requested a quote to put on a set of running boards That I received for a birthday present. I was told by your rep. I will not name him but he will know. Send me the installation info and I will get a quote from my manager, I faxed the info to them the next day. I waited for about a week and when I did not her from them I called them back only to be told by the rep. O yes I think I saw that in the fax basket a few days ago, let me go look. when he got back on the phone he told me his manager was out for a few days but he would get back to me in a few days. I waited a week and no reply so I called back and was told the rep was busy and left my name & number after calling three other times and no reply I asked for the manager was told he was busy and to this day I have not heard anything from this company. I finally called another company let them know what I needed they gave me a good quote and told me I could bring the journey in the next day, which I did, they installed the running boards in less then two hours and gave me a 3 year warrantee. I may have liked there repair work but I will never recommend them to anyone. read more

Chose them because they are on the approved insurance list. Called ahead to let them know I would be doing a night drop off. Got there - no envelopes for their drop box. Called the next day to schedule a meeting to sign paperwork and get estimates. Arrived at my scheduled time, they had no idea who I was, nor did they have any of my paperwork printed. Also, the computer had to be restarted at that time. Long, unnecessary wait. When Lindsey finally arrived to show me my car, she was unable to find my car in the front lot or side lot. I never saw my car prior to work. She asked me to sign blank papers, so when I asked for a copy of the blank papers, she proceeded to fill them in. I was told I would have an answer by the end of the day regarding the status of my car. I called at least three more times in the next five days - no call back. My insurance called a week later to tell me Caliber had totalled my car out. It took a total of 11 days to get a final response. II called to make sure I could still collect my belongings and the receptionist said Lindsey was busy and they had not actually totalled my car out. Again, I had to wait once I arrived. Customer service was NOT good, nor was their professional handling of the situation. read more
