Living in Reno your car is gunna get crashed into. I've taken all my cars to dent doctor and they have consistently done great work. Great work on the cars and even better dealing with the insurance. Only ever used them for collisions and after I give them my car i know everything is gunna be taken care of. Edit- Took my car twice for two separate crashes. First one work was done great. Except fender liner was left hanging. Brought back in they fixed it. Took it in a second time. Told them it was leaking and driving funny. They did usual body work and handed it back. When I asked about the leak they said they didn't see anything. Took car to get inspection else where. Clear visible leak with other issues probably related to crash. Took back in for that and a couple of other plastic liners and pieces. Including the liner that was dragging again from first repair. Guy was very defensive more trying to shake any liability. They wouldn't do anything about the leak but could fix the plastics. Will just go elsewhere. Took it in for a second time because I thought they did a good job but looking back at it the liner was left dangling and eat up by the tire. read more

Do not under any circumstance take your vehicle to this shop. I would give them no stars if I could. You will not get your car back for well over the estimated time they initially give, for example they told me two and a half weeks and it's been 9 weeks and my car still isn't done. Every time I call no one has answers, the tech is never at work, and the entire staff seems like they're high on something causing them to lack any and all communication skills and how to properly run a business. The excuse was always, "we're waiting on parts". The latest excuse was, "we didn't like how the work looked that we had done so we're redoing it." In no way should it have taken 7 weeks past the initial quote to get a little plastic piece for my wheel well. Absolutely ridiculous. Getting an estimate was easy and the staff seemed friendly, but after they promised to order the parts, I had to call them weekly to remind them for over two months. I could never get a call back when leaving a message or when promised, and when I made a 9AM appointment that they told me would be a quick in and out, no technicians were at the shop until after 10. I have never had a worse experience with a service provider. Although Penny, the receptionist, is very nice, she did almost nothing correctly. She never transferred vehicle info from VIP Collision, Alfred's other company,; had multiple invoices, and incorrect work to be done. She never phoned when she said she would and often did not answer the phone or return a voice mail. I called constantly and went to the office when I could not get anyone. After demanding to see Alfred, he said he would personally take care of my car - didn't happen. He promised it on a Friday and when I went to the office on Monday, he wasn't there but a technician agreed to work until 7 pm so I could get the car Tuesday when I was leaving on a trip. Took my car in for an estimate on a hit and run dent and John was my estimator. The estimate was 150$ cheaper then other local company's but that's not what got the 5 star review for this company today. John went out of his way and found me the body panel online in the matching color for 1/3rd of the price of the dent removal wrote down the link and sent me on the way. He didn't try to up-charging me for the part and selling it through the company or anything just literally helped me out free of cost. Personally I would 100% suggest a company that's willing to lose money to have there customers walk out happy. My truck got a pretty bad dent/paint chip in the driver side of the bed. I took it to Dent Doctor for repair because they were cheaper than the three other quotes I got. I am very satisfied with the work. They repaired the dented bedside, and repainted it. It looks and matches the old paint perfectly. I also had them color sand and buff/wax the whole truck. It literally looks brand new. They even took the time to fill in two or three larger scratches the truck had elsewhere, plus multiple rock chips on the front hood and fenders. I reached out to Dent Dr. in June of 2022 to ask if they were a Tesla certified repair shop as I need some body work repair work. They claimed to be a Tesla approved collision center so I asked for an estimate of repair work. I then contacted Tesla after speaking with a friend of mine who also owned a Tesla, stated that there was only one collision repair shop approved by Tesla in the Reno/Sparks area and that was McCarran Auto Body. I never heard back from Dent Dr. nor did I contact them as I went to McCarran Auto Body to obtain and estimate from them and to schedule a date for repair work. Since McCarran Auto Body is the only approved repair shop they were book months out. I then noticed that Dent Dr. had submitted for payment through my insurance Safeco and had been paid out $3,310.74 on July 13, 2022. They requested payment from my insurance company for work they never performed nor where authorized to perform. After the initial contact with Dent Dr. in June of 2022 they never reached back out to me. Nothing was agreed upon nor was any appointments set up for repair. They had never seen my car nor took pictures of my car. I reached out to my insurance company as soon as I learned that payment had been issued to them to let them know that should have never happened and ever since there has been many attempts by phone, emails and in person made to recover this payment. I had to finally have my vehicle repaired by McCarran Auto body where I had to pay the $3,310.74 out of pocked and Dent. Dr. has completely avoided the return of this payment. On all the attempts to recover my insurance or I have been told that they would need to speak with the owner and get back to us which never happened. I finally went in, in person on 3 different occasions and was told the same thing. During my last attempt they asked to take pictures of my VIN# for what reason I do not know since nothing has been taken care of do date. read more

I had some body damage to my Ford F150, and my insurance company had them listed as a recommended shop. I've never had body work done, so I took my chances, and I'm extremely happy with the end result and would definitely use them again. Lindsay was my main point of contact. She was great! She was communicative and accommodating. We had a small hiccup with the parts, and a slight delay on the estimated completion date, but they acknowledged it and communicated with me, and when it was all said and done they compensated me and made it right. Alfred the owner even called me afters hours to make sure I was taken care of and explained the reason for the delay, which I definitely appreciated. When it's all said and done, all that matters is the end result. The repairs were perfect and my truck looked brand new. Ultimately all I cared about was did they do the job right, and they absolutely did. I'm extremely happy with the work they did and how they handled the delay. I'm extremely upset with the work that was performed on our car today. We had a dent on the rear fender and was told by the tech that it could be massaged out and look a lot better then it currently did. We have taken many cars here before and felt confident in the work that had always been performed, so we proceeded. After the work had been performed, it was worse than when we brought it in. When my husband told the tech that it looked worse, he agreed and said, "I know, that's why I only charged you $25". Now the fender is wrinkled and the paint is chipped underneath which will lead to future paint problems, I am sure. These are professionals... if you didn't feel confident in the work, then you shouldn't have agreed to do it AND charge for it. So what are you going to do to make this right for a repeat customer? Now I am left with having to paint the whole side panel. If I would've known there was an option that it would've turned out worse, I wouldn't have done it. But because of this tech's confidence and being assured it would look better, I went ahead with it. This is outrageous and unacceptable. read more

I called to get an estimate on a door ding the size of a pencil eraser. No paint damage. They sent me a link to take photos of the damage and I sent it in. They called later in the day to tell me that it would cost $1050 to fix the dent and paint. When I told the gal that she must have the wrong car, she told me that it would need body work. Having had door dings repaired in the past I knew that this damage could easily be repaired. I told her that I thought she was mistaken and she replied "Well, you must know more about dent repair than we do". I told her that I didn't know more about dent repair, but was sure that the damage could easily be repaired. She then told me that I could bring it in for further analysis. I declined because of her snotty comment. I elected to have the damage repaired by High Sierra Dent Company. Took ten minutes including set up and take down. The repair is completely invisible. High Sierra is used by a lot of the car dealerships in town for a reason. Dent Doctor should reevaluate the use of their on line estimator and immediately suggest an in person review if things don't add up. read more
