I would like to give Benjamin's Auto body a shout out and a 5+. We brought our vehicle in to Benjamin's Auto body on the recommendation of someone from the accident. And Benjamin has gone above and beyond what a regular body shop does. He was a champion at helping us out. It had to go to the dealer to reset codes. He took the vehicle there picked it back up and delivered it to us then it had some other codes that had to go back to the dealer and he took it to the dealer and delivered it back to us again. Way overpriced. The front desk lady is so rude, like pulling teeth trying to get explanations from her. Dealing with them was really unpleasant and depressing. I wish I could have gone somewhere else but timing kind of forced my hand. Also was given a completion date estimate of the 27th but didn't hear anything until the 30th, had to cancel a holiday trip from the 28th-2nd to make sure I could be around to pick up my car or else pay the high storage fees. Highly recommend going somewhere else unless you like getting bent over by a business that will squeeze you for every penny they can. The only good thing I can say (which is important) is that the work that was done seems to have been done well. As it should for such an absurd price. Sad. read more

We're from CA and had the "plate" under our car almost falling off. It was dragging on the ground. Couldn't find anywhere that was open due to the 4th of July or that wasn't so busy they couldn't get us in. We spotted Benjamin's and thought let's give it a try. My car was sideswiped in January 2024 after having insurance issues, my claim went down that proverbial black hole. I had to get estimates twice. Finally the insurance approved the estimates and with the help from Benjamin's office staff communicating with the insurance company my SUV was finally in the shop. Let me tell you it was worth the wait. My daughter had also scratched the back side of my SUV and I paid separately to get that repaired. My car came out looking brand new. Very disappointed with my estimate, as the mechanic indicated that my car was in terrible condition, which resulted in a lower insurance valuation. Fortunately, I was able to prove otherwise, and increase the value of my car, so that the claim was accurately valued. State Farm recommended this mechanic however, I would never use them again. I can't speak of their work because I didn't get past the front desk. I made an appointment to get an estimate on my car 2 months ago. The lady on the phone was very nice, apologized for the delay, and told me to come in on my appointment day and they would take care of me. I arrived on time. Maybe I wasn't expected?The lady at the desk, "Keetra",was Very Rude. Although there was no one else in the office, she ignored me when I walked in. She answered a phone call, while still ignoring me, and when she got off the phone, there was still no greeting. No "Hello, how may i help you," or anything like that. "Do you have an appointment?!" "Um, yes." "Who's your insurance and where's your assignment?!" "The secretary never mentioned I needed anything like that." "We can't do anything without an assignment, get an assignment and then we'll help you." "Nobody told me I needed to bring anything for the estimate. My car was recently victim to a hit and run while it was parked in front of my residence a few days before Christmas...talk about the worst Christmas present ever! My rear tire, quarter panel, bumper and front bumper were severly damaged. I found my hub cab exploded into a million pieces. But alas, I was able to call my insurance company to get this squared away. It was a Saturday, so Benjamin's Auto Body was not open, but they did have a great feature for an after-hours drop. The tow company towed it and dropped the keys in the drop box and early Monday morning I got a call from Ketra confirming they received my car and would start on the estimate and repairs right way. Ketra was great!! She kept me updated throughout the entire process and consistently kept my insurance adjustor in the loop. They even finished the repairs on my car 10 days earlier than expected! My car looked shiny and new, like I just bought it off the car dealership. Paint quality was great, color matched and all panels are perfectly flush. Excellent Job!! I was recommended by my insurance agent to get body work done on my rear bumper for a hit and run while my vehicle was parked. The owner killed my battery, wouldn't take responsibility, they also claimed to use new parts but I can tell they pounded out the dent from my old bumper and repaired it. Also gave me back vehicle with busted out rear license place light bulb, only reason he replaced it as because I did a full lights check while still at the shop. If you value not have more issues with your vehicle they you come into the shop with look elsewhere. This shop is definitely a shady place. Sticky white stuff on vehicle body and a few new scratches too just like another customer who brought their vehicle in. read more

Excellent experience! Stopped in after I found them listed on my options from insurance claim. Quick assessment, even gave me a temporary cover for my blow out back windshield, and said they'd contact me as soon as they had parts info. And they did. Two days later they had all my parts, scheduled me in within the week. Finished in 24 hours. Still needed calibration, they set up an appointment so brought it back for a couple hours a few days later and it's done! Really very smooth, very accommodating, very great to work with. I called and set up an appointment. My insurance company confirmed they assigned the claim to the garage. I turned up on time, two girls were in the reception, none made eye contact with me. Eventually one girl said "can I help you?" But with her back turned to me and walking away from me. I waited for her to come back and before I could say anything, a guy from the back shop walked out and started a conversation with her. So I was ignored. Eventually another woman came out and started to look at the appointment book. My appointment was not there, they didn't have the insurance claim assigned to them. She proceeded to ask if I wanted to book an appointment for repair for the following week which I thought "wasn't it the point of me making the appointment and the trip today? (Head scratching). Throughout this time, no smile no facial expression no empathy, nothing. She couldn't wait to talk over me. So I asked her name, it's Keetra ! I am so happy with the service I received here! Their communication was excellent, everyone I spoke with on the phone was super friendly and helpful. I received regular updates on the status of the repair via email. I also didn't have any issues with my insurance. My car looked brand new when I picked it up (I was side-swiped on the freeway and the whole right side of my car was damaged) and they even cleaned the inside! My car got side swiped by another vehicle when it was parked on the side of the road. Not only did the driver not leave a note, but the whole side of the car was trashed. My insurance recommended Benjamin's autobody when I contacted them and was looking for a place to get the vehicle repaired. I didn't expect it to be done not only so quickly but so well. The woman at the front desk was extremely helpful, they put in a new door and mirror with full repair in less than a week. They also cleaned and vacuumed the entire interior and put down paper mats so that there wouldn't be extra dirt when we picked it up - talk about a nice "welcome back" to your car when they were done with it. If I can give more stars I would, I'm so happy with how fast and easy everything was! The hood of my car got dented and scratched and my windshield got a clean crack from some traffic debris. My insurance recommended me to Benjamin's and I was a bit nervous considering the reviews I had read online. However, as someone who works in the car business, I understand how some people can be extreme with their ratings. I dropped it off, they told me a time frame and finished way quicker than expected. They were super quick to the point, professional and the work is amazing! It's like nothing ever happened, I am stunned. Granted it was small damage but amazing work should never go unnoticed. They did an awesome job on my truck. The only problem is when i got my truck back my steering wheel was covered with some kind of white paint or plaster. And there was a gooey stuff on my truck too. There is a scratch on the paint after i clean off the gooey stuff but i wasn't sure if the scratch was there before. read more

I had my door and mirror replaced on my truck and Ben's crew did a great job, but that is not why I'm writing a review. When I picked up my truck, around 5:30 pm, my 4x4 light was on. Ben came and looked, suggested that I drive around the block and it would reset, it didn't. I drove back, Ben personally came out and looked at it, both stumped, he drove us to a friend's shop and had him hook up my truck to diagnostic computer, his friend looked at it, drove it and said no codes show up, try driving it straight on freeway for 20 miles. Ben said call him if it doesn't go off, we'll take care of it. After driving home to Fernley, light was still on, found out it was just the rear differential lock button had been pressed. Ben spent more than an hour with me at the end of a very hot day trying to help me, the work I had done had nothing to do with the 4x4, but he was going to help me. There was no charge for the extra diagnostic or his time and I called this morning to tell him what the problem was and thank them for going above and beyond. "The customer seemed completely satisfied when he picked up the vehicle"?? If you recall it was nighttime, you were just closing the shop, it was nearly impossible to see anything in your poorly lite parking lot. The next morning after picking the truck up my neighbor knocked on my door, he was walking his dog and noticed the damage and thought someone vandalized the truck. To add insult to injury, I traded my truck into a Lexus dealership about 8 months ago. As a routine part of their trade-in process the appraiser used a paint thickness gauge on the "repaired" area of my truck to measure quality of the job. If I recall paint should be 2-6 thick, the area Benjamin's "repaired" measured 19. The dealership immediately chopped $1,500 off their original quoted trade-in price. Keep in mind this was after they "fixed" their first effort. So, Benjamin, still think you did a good job? I almost wrote a Yelp update on my experience at the Lexus dealership, but decided against it. After reading their response to my post, and after having a good laugh, I decided I had to let the Reno/Sparks area know. To be clear, it's now been 21 months and I still stand by my post, the repair job was appalling and the customer service was worse. There are plenty of quality body shops in area, save yourself the effort and use someone else. I do not suggest you take your vehicle to this shop unless you want to deal with corruption. They broke my key FOB and are refusing to replace it; I can't prove it because who takes a picture of their key FOB before they turn in a vehicle to a repair shop? I suggest everyone after this frustrating experience. They are dishonest to the highest degree. read more
