My most recent new car was rear ended at a stop sign, I filed a claim through the guys insurance and this place is a #1 partnered shop and I was extremely happy to hear it. Got my car in on the 17th of April and got it back on the 24th of April, 3 days early than the estimated finish date. Communication was amazing! I got updates everyday and they even took care of my rental car for me when I went to pick up my car. My baby looked like it had never been in an accident. My experience with this shop was extremely disappointing. During my visit to pick up my vehicle after it had been declared a total loss, I encountered significant issues with both communication and customer service. Geneva's demeanor came across as dismissive and unprofessional. My expectation was simply that a reasonable effort would be made to reattach the car parts properly. They failed to do so. I was informed that a technician would address this and that I would be notified when the vehicle was ready. However, I felt rushed to leave without clear explanations or reassurance. Before leaving, I noticed Geneva preparing to move my vehicle and pointed out that one of the tires was flat. I was concerned that moving the vehicle without adding air could cause further damage, such as harming the rim. Her response--the shop was not responsible for the tire--was surprising, especially since the vehicle was in drivable condition when I initially dropped it off. I was not asking for extensive repairs, only a simple precaution to prevent additional damage. Not negligence. After expressing my concern, she reluctantly stated she would consult her manager but suggested that I arrange for a tow truck. This recommendation was confusing, given that the vehicle was previously operable and only became an issue after being in the shop's care. I left the shop expecting a follow-up call regarding when my truck would be ready for pickup; however, I did not receive any communication. At approximately 2:45 PM, I contacted the shop to request an update and asked to speak with someone other than Geneva. I was then connected with Kailee Titus, the general manager, who informed me that staff had attempted to reinstall the parts on my vehicle but had been unsuccessful, and had even resorted to using glue. I explained that if the parts could not be reinstalled, I preferred that they simply be placed in the trunk rather than using improper methods. I did not want further attempts made that could risk additional damage to my vehicle. At that point, my concerns escalated, and I felt it was necessary to remove my vehicle from the shop to prevent any further issues. Additionally, I was dissatisfied with the condition of my vehicle upon return. What initially appeared to be minor damage resulted in a vehicle that looked significantly worse, with parts seemingly reattached using improper methods. This outcome did not meet reasonable expectations of care or professionalism. At a minimum, I expected the vehicle to be returned in a condition comparable to how it was received. Overall, this experience has left me with little confidence in the shop's standards and customer service. I would strongly encourage improvements in both communication and quality of work. read more

It took them 3 weeks to get an appointment for an estimate and another 2 months for a repair. Through the entire process there was nearly zero communication. read more

Last month we had a fender bender in our "new to us" 2021 Ford Explorer Timberline. Due to circumstances with our insurance the repair would come out of pocket. We reached out around town and landed in Caliber Collision. Mark was our rep and immediately took our intake information. Within 24 hours we got the cost analysis of OEM vs aftermarket and the overall cost to us. We found the funds and made it work. During the process they found some more plastic damage in the vehicle and were able to mend and repair for us. In the end our car looks good as new, we were treated well, we payed a amount that seemed fair and better than other quotes. The whole repair took 3 days and they helped with picking it up from work. I will never step foot in there door again. Two weeks and a minor repair wasn't done. I went down to check on my car and was told it would be ready tomorrow. I waited for the call that never came so I called and was told that it was parked with the cars that were ready so I said I would be right down. Well when I got there I was told it was not ready due to a part that didn't fit. So now another weekend without a car. They are incompetent liars. read more

Website they use confirmed date, called them to confirm pick up and was told it was still in line for paint. Given a new date of June 6. Again called to confirm pick up. Nope still waiting for paint. Can't get a straight answer just the run around. Empty promises for checking on when it will be ready no call back. Now out of pocket for another week of rental car payments as they have exceeded the 30 days allowed by insurance. Save yourself the hassle and troble and go elsewhere. read more

I brought my car in to have a nasty door ding/gouge repaired. The staff was attentive and responded quickly to all of my questions. Dan was the tech of whom I worked directly with. He was very thorough in his analysis of the damage and explained the process and procedures take during the entire repair. My car was completed within the time frame as was quoted. A negative 50 is the rating they should have. I only wish I talked to more people before trusting the referral from my insurance carrier, USAA. I had to return my car after many issues happened and they finally towed it in. Then they ignored me and said it was most likely my old battery or a warranty issue with the dealership. Very untrue as it is a 2022 Outback. They then said they tested it and things were fine and never called again while it sat just outside of the managers office window. He said he wasn't aware it was there or had any issues. He also checked it and said it appeared fine. They took it to the Subaru dealership and they found the battery was never hooked up properly by Caliber and it had a broken clasp. ONE month and it took another shop to discover the obvious. I asked to speak to their regional manager and they blew this off. Now I won't pick up my car until I speak with USAA at their shop with the regional manager. I would NOT trust my car, service care, or safety with them. read more

The receptionist was not very nice didn't recognize our insurance company although, in California they are our insurance preferred provider and I liked all the reviews so, I was happy to call them. Receptionist put me on hold and said the manager told her they couldn't help us because, of our insurance and they had nothing open for a MONTH although, when you want to make an appointment online you can make one THIS week! Other than that, they seem more than capable of repairing stuff like my great, great, great, great, great, great, great grandmothers, 2023 Bronco, as they are masters of manipulating metallurgical bodies, and polymer based, cosmetic coatings. (I think they called it paint back in the day). Anyways, they can fix your paint too. read more

I really wanted to give them 4 stars, but I can't. They did a great job repairing damage done on the side of the car. They even got it back to us earlier than expected. Two days later we had them replace the headlights on the same car (a Cadillac). When we got it back we saw that they left dirty handprints all over it. That's the only reason I gave them 4 stars. Sure. But nice does not fix my car, nor does nice mean that they are competent. I received text messages with incorrect dates, and I am told "oh that's the system, you can ignore it" but then other times I am told to pay close attention to the updates, so which is it, ignore, or pay attention? My car was supposed to be completed in 1 week, it has been 24 days, and I am being told it is still not ready. I have had to borrow a car from friends thinking this would only be a week. I had a terrible experience at the Harvard location and when this location came up as an option with insurance this time I was hesitant...as I should have been. I gave them the benefit of the doubt which I hope you don't. Last time MULTIPLE trips to fix the same thing, this time same issue. They can't get the bumper to stay on. I have damage to glass on my car, staining, and no striping on my vehicle which used to be there due to caliber.....and now pretty confident a scratch on my paint from this time I'm hoping I can buff out and a bumper that won't stay on. My Jetta was backed into on April 14th which required my quarter panel to be replaced. My appointment was set for May 24th, and I had submitted photos for their online estimate service. When I arrived at the facility in Sparks, they informed me that they were going to take apart the vehicle to see what needed to be completed. After a week, they told me that they needed to order parts and paint. My car was still drivable at this point, and I felt that it was odd that they didn't offer to return my car back to me while parts/paint were being shipped. Once the part was in at the beginning of June, my estimator Orlando told me that my car would be completed on June 16th. I had received updates via text message, indicating that "things were coming along nicely" and that my car would indeed be finished on the 16th. On June 12th, they stated that my car was "near completion" and that he would reach out to me for a game plan. I received a phone call last night and was told that the job on my car had "been pushed out another week." I expressed how I was upset as my insurance does not cover a rental car and I am having to pay for it out of pocket everyday. Caliber seemed to have cared less and simply wanted to tell me that it was going to take another week. I am usually not one to write bad reviews, as I understand that life is unpredictable and things may take longer than expected, but the lack of trying to make things right upset me. I am dissatisfied with the way things were handled in regard to my vehicle, and I am not sure if the repairs will be made before the new date of June 23rd. I am moving to a different state next month, and will not be surprised if I have to find an auto body repair shop to finish the job. read more

Car was supposed to take 2 weeks ended up taking 2 months. Office managers relayed that my rental costs would be covered for the entire duration my car is in the shop but I ended up with a bill for $1k just for a rental. Every time they said they were almost done their was a part "missing" or on "back order." Company has no communication between employees, management, and customers. They openly admitted the wrong info was given to me by management & employees NUMEROUS TIMES but at the end all costs "were on me and my fault." Mark & Sara are completely unorganized and seems as if they hold onto cars on purpose to scam ppl. Would never take my car back there again or recommend to anyone I actually like. read more

I wrote a negative review in mid-February about the Caliber Collision shop on Glendale Avenue in Sparks, NV. The next day I received a response from someone who seemed to be in a position to assist me with my issue. The person asked for additional information and I responded immediately. Well, it has been nearly a month since I responded, and I have heard nothing. Because of this, my attitude about the service I received from this company has not changed. They obviously do not care about their customers once they have received payment. I would not recommend this business to anyone based on the way I was treated. No one needs to deal with their deceptive practices. Ther are a number of body shops in the Reno/Sparks area and I would suggest you use a business other than Caliber Collision. read more

I have no idea why all the bad reviews, but my experience with Caliber was nothing short of phenomenal. Hopefully this review balances things out some. I was recently involved in an auto incident where someone backed into my vehicle. My insurance found me not at fault and sent me to Caliber to get the damage repaired. From start to finish, I found the whole process to be very efficient -- my insurance contact conferenced in Caliber's call center and got me an appointment for the next day. Sweet! When I dropped off my vehicle, Taylor took her time explaining the damage, assessing it and circling areas of concern with her pen. I'm sure she's done this hundreds of times before, but she was very patient and answered all my questions. The facility itself was also very large and comfy, although I never had to wait for any real amount of time. They had a really nice waiting area stocked with magazines, complimentary bottled water and sodas in a mini fridge. There was even a carny-style popcorn machine. One thing I really liked about Caliber was their consistency at exceeding expectations. When I first arrived, I was told to wait 15 minutes. Not even two passed before I was helped. I was told to expect to pick up my vehicle next Tuesday (after the Labor Day weekend). I got a call *one day later* saying my vehicle was ready. Unfortunately, I missed the call on Friday saying my car was ready, so I thought I'd have to wait till Tuesday anyway to get it. When I called back, Jessica (the front desk receptionist) informed me that they would remain open even on the Labor Day weekend so I could pick up my car. Wow! So the next day, I got a pleasant call from Matthew, who confirmed that I could come by anytime to get my car. When I arrived, he took his time to explain all the work that'd been done (which looked great, like it never even happened). Previously, I was told by Jessica that due to minimal staffing that day, a personalized experience wouldn't be possible -- yet another expectation exceeded. In fact (and I hesitate to say this because I don't wanna get him in any trouble), Matthew went out of his way to answer some of my unrelated car questions and even recommended a way I could literally save THOUSANDS on other repairs. He had every opportunity to pull a fast one and bilk me for more services, but didn't. That kind of integrity is to be commended. All in all, I certainly hope I won't have to go through the headache of an auto incident again anytime soon. But if I must, I feel much better knowing that the folks at Caliber will be there, ready to exceed expectations. read more

Got my truck towed to this shop, this collision shop works for the insurance company they quoted me 25K to get my truck fixed and that's including a frame replacement. I took it to a different shop for a second opinion the second shop quoted all the damages at $52,000 caliber collision was half the price, and in the quote they wanted to use all aftermarket parts. I would not recommend this to anybody. They are out to help the insurance company and not the customer. total scam. read more
