I wrote a negative review in mid-February about the Caliber Collision shop on Glendale Avenue in Sparks, NV. The next day I received a response from someone who seemed to be in a position to assist me with my issue. The person asked for additional information and I responded immediately. Well, it has been nearly a month since I responded, and I have heard nothing. Because of this, my attitude about the service I received from this company has not changed. They obviously do not care about their customers once they have received payment. I would not recommend this business to anyone based on the way I was treated. No one needs to deal with their deceptive practices. Ther are a number of body shops in the Reno/Sparks area and I would suggest you use a business other than Caliber Collision. read more

I have no idea why all the bad reviews, but my experience with Caliber was nothing short of phenomenal. Hopefully this review balances things out some. I was recently involved in an auto incident where someone backed into my vehicle. My insurance found me not at fault and sent me to Caliber to get the damage repaired. From start to finish, I found the whole process to be very efficient -- my insurance contact conferenced in Caliber's call center and got me an appointment for the next day. Sweet! When I dropped off my vehicle, Taylor took her time explaining the damage, assessing it and circling areas of concern with her pen. I'm sure she's done this hundreds of times before, but she was very patient and answered all my questions. The facility itself was also very large and comfy, although I never had to wait for any real amount of time. They had a really nice waiting area stocked with magazines, complimentary bottled water and sodas in a mini fridge. There was even a carny-style popcorn machine. One thing I really liked about Caliber was their consistency at exceeding expectations. When I first arrived, I was told to wait 15 minutes. Not even two passed before I was helped. I was told to expect to pick up my vehicle next Tuesday (after the Labor Day weekend). I got a call *one day later* saying my vehicle was ready. Unfortunately, I missed the call on Friday saying my car was ready, so I thought I'd have to wait till Tuesday anyway to get it. When I called back, Jessica (the front desk receptionist) informed me that they would remain open even on the Labor Day weekend so I could pick up my car. Wow! So the next day, I got a pleasant call from Matthew, who confirmed that I could come by anytime to get my car. When I arrived, he took his time to explain all the work that'd been done (which looked great, like it never even happened). Previously, I was told by Jessica that due to minimal staffing that day, a personalized experience wouldn't be possible -- yet another expectation exceeded. In fact (and I hesitate to say this because I don't wanna get him in any trouble), Matthew went out of his way to answer some of my unrelated car questions and even recommended a way I could literally save THOUSANDS on other repairs. He had every opportunity to pull a fast one and bilk me for more services, but didn't. That kind of integrity is to be commended. All in all, I certainly hope I won't have to go through the headache of an auto incident again anytime soon. But if I must, I feel much better knowing that the folks at Caliber will be there, ready to exceed expectations. read more

David down at Caliber took great care of my Carolla. It came back to me like the day I drove it off the lot. Was not expecting the new steelie and tire!! That was an amazing +. So thank you all down there for doing a great job. Even with covid going around, it took a little longer than expected, but the results speak for themselves. Cheers guys have a great xmas read more

Got my truck towed to this shop, this collision shop works for the insurance company they quoted me 25K to get my truck fixed and that's including a frame replacement. I took it to a different shop for a second opinion the second shop quoted all the damages at $52,000 caliber collision was half the price, and in the quote they wanted to use all aftermarket parts. I would not recommend this to anybody. They are out to help the insurance company and not the customer. total scam. read more

Recently had to bring my car in for a small repair. I didn't have an appointment and one of the managers, Jacob, got me squared away. My car was fixed quickly and without any issues. Been to other shops that leave a mess in the vehicle or damage other parts while repairing one... not Caliber! Solid service, highly recommend. read more

Great service and repair quality! Employees are efficient and communicate well. Their good reputation holds its value.

All the people were really friendly. Sydney was a great advisor. Everything was done when and as promised. Great service of taking me home and dropping off the truck. Next time I need auto repair, I'll be coming back. read more

Girl answering the phone is useless. Promised to update me on Friday, NO call back. On Monday she then tells me that my Progressive representative (Shelby) doesn't actually work there. When I ask what the phone number is to the Reno Caliber Collision center her response was "I have no idea". After speaking with the Reno Caliber Collision center, the person I spoke with advised me that YES the Sparks location is in fact the Progressive insurance/Caliber collision location that I am suppose to contact, "ask for Floyd." So heads up, If your a Progressive Insurance customer, call the Reno Caliber collision office first, they actually have someone on site who can help you. read more

After my accident i took my Jeep to Caliber collision for an estimate. They gave me and my insurance company a great quote. I took my vehicle in and they repaired the body damage great and in a timely manner...even before they promised. Only complaint I have is I have a bad squeak/grinding in the rear end due to the accident. They told me it was the brakes and the insurance company wouldn't cover it. After repairs I had the brakes replaced and the squeak is still there. I wish they could have found the reason for the squeak/grinding. Still did an awesome job on the repairs. read more

I was in a car accident and my insurance company suggested that I take my car into this location and i agreed. Hey said it would take about 24/48 hrs to get an estimate but after a week I still did not receive a call. I called them, but 3 times in a row the only person who knew anything about my call was out of town, or went home early. No one else in the shop could give me an update on my vehicle. I finally asked for a manager to call me on the 3rd attempt and when he called he was unapologetic and was just calling to get clearance to start the work on my car...almost 2 weeks after the accident. I said no and had the car shipped the same day to a different car repair company. On top of the terrible customer service, they estimated my car repairs to be $5000, the new car repair company found double the amount of issues and estimated the repairs to be $10,000! And they gave me a life time warranty. I was so frustrated with this company and wouldn't recommend them to anyone. read more

I am absolutely thrilled with how my car repair was handled. Someone crashed into my car in a parking lot (thankfully left their info) and their insurance company chose Caliber Collision for the repairs. Even though there was a hiccup in getting the parts, they always kept me updated. Ive never had to deal with anything like this before so they made the process incredibly easy! I would recommend them at any time. read more

I would highly reccommend to take your car to any other shop in Reno. I have been fighting with them tooth and nail to get my car properly repaired. I'm now taking my car to a different shop for them to fix the problems Caliber caused. read more

Our RAV4 had an avoid-the-dog injury to the right front fender & door. We took it to Caliber and they told us due to a high volume of work it would be a couple of weeks before we got the car back. We got it back in a week, looking like new. A few months later, the front passenger window fell off the track so we called and asked if they could fix it. They said it would take about a half hour, and bring it down. It took about 15 minutes and they didn't charge us for the work, explaining it might have been something they missed when they did the original repair. In both cases the service was beyond excellent. We highly recommend them for any work you may need done. read more

Horriable customer service brought my Car here this place doesn't return phone calls and after weeks of leaving my car here they gave the insurance company a high estimate to get it fixed so it was totaled managers here are rude and don't care about how people feel they lack all customer service skills if u want your car fixed improperly and or want it totaled due to their high estimated values than go to them I would go somewhere else I would never ever give these people another chance . read more

I was in a 3-car accident on Labor Day evening and the car was taken to this location Wed morning. My car was there for 2-months and 2-days. I kept getting misinformation via text messages; and the manager at that time outright lied to me. After I got the car back there were still a couple of problems. They were fixed in a much more timely manner at a different Caliber location. I understand that this location is under new management now. I can understand why. read more

I needed to have my car's front end repaired. They did an excellent job, even taking care of the hidden damage. The paint match was perfect too. read more

I will never use these guys again! After being involved in an accident my insurance company recommended this place. After they kept my Jeep for almost 3 months I got it back. The alignment was way off, the engine light was still on, they unhooked my amp from the battery and a couple other small things. So they took it back and had it for another 2 weeks. The alignment is much better but certainly not right on. I noticed my speakers hanging from the sound bar. The front drivers side was blown. Two weeks before the accident I had my rear wheel seals and bearings replace. Now one side is leaking all over my driveway, my engine light is back on, I now have a small oil leak and they took my locking lug nut wrench. And to top it off I can't get them to call me back. I guess I'll have to take it somewhere else and have it done right! read more

I couldn't be happier with the service and work that Caliber Collision provides. It's not an ideal situation to have to have damage repaired on your car, but if it's necessary, this is most definitely the place you'll want to trust with your vehicle. Everyone is extremely friendly and helpful, and their attention to detail can't be matched! I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else! I took my van in to have the bumper fixed after someone backed into me. When it was finished I noticed the silvers were a little off in color and Dave told me if I didn't like it I could bring it back for as long as I own the car and they'd fix it free of charge. I took it back to have it fixed the next day, they paid for my rental and then also replaced my car battery for free and polished my headlights. Exceptional customer service. Thank you Dave! read more

I drive a lot for work and have had recently had really bad luck with car accidents. The first time I got in a car accident the Sparks Caliber Collision was on the list of approved repair shops. I walked into this blindly and with very low expectations due to previous experiences with auto repair shops. From the moment I walked into Caliber Collision I was greeted with a friendly face and wonderful costumer service. They went out of their way to make sure I was taken care of and made sure all of my questions and concerns were answered. The whole time they kept me updated and were true to their timeline. I gave this 5 stars because it is as good as it gets. Work on my car A+. Customer service A+. Making me feel valued as a costumer from start to finish A++. I will continue to use Caliber Collision and highly recommend this business. read more

Caliber did a very good repair, the car was cleaned inside and out, staff was friendly, and had the repair done and car to me at the time they said. The only improvement I would like would be in communications; more than once I was told someone would call me back and I didn't get the call. I'm not sure I would have known that my car was finished if I hadn't called. read more

My overall experience with Caliber Collision has been pleasant and highly satisfactory. From the time I dropped off my vehicle, to the time I picked it up, everyone was very professional. I was greeted and acknowledged with courtesy and respect. Floyd H. is exceptional at what he does! He explained the process and timeline of repairs well. I knew what services I was getting, and the text message updates were extremely helpful! Yes the completion did take some time, but that was something they couldn't ever control. And the ease of communicating with these folks made me feel I made the best choice of going to them to service my vehicle! It could not have been handled better elsewhere! Thank you Caliber Collision team. read more

Horrible Horrible customer Service. I wish there was a negative five star review option!! And if you refuse for them to get automatic payment from insurance, you might as well find some where else to go. I should have gone with my gut instinct with the first call I made to them. Also if an insurance company sends you to a place definitely do not go to who they recommend. I was the one who was at no fault for the accident I was in, why should I have to be put out, and then have to deal with the lack of customer service, lack of communication, lack of professionalism?!! The lies that were said to the insurance company. The only"disagreement" was my refusal to sign your waver for payment! Also let it be said they had my car for 6 days before receiving a call from, not Caliber Collision, not the at fault members Insurance Adjuster, but the rental company stating I need to return the car by 5:30 or I would be charged for the rental, do to the fact that the car does not have a finish date!! Who is held accountable when the work is not done properly or to my standards after you complete the repair? Nobody but you still would have received payment, let me add the car is only 9 months old, I drove off the lot with 13 miles on it. Sorry that I want to make sure my car is repaired properly and not half-a**ed, but your company still receives full payment for a shady job. I should have read reviews before taking this to your establishment!! Thank god for Nevada's laws of taking it where the client pleases. And thank you for the New Establishment I was able to get it into today with in the time that I was given!! Karma has a way of coming back and word of mouth is huge in this industry. read more

I had my old little turd Ford focus repaired here when I rear ended someone like an idiot. I was super anxious to get my car back, but they were really patient with me. I upgraded to a new car a few months later and was backing out of my driveway, when I scraped my bumper on some bricks. Pretty bad too. I took my car to these guys again and told them my situation and that I only had the car for 2 months. They took care of me big time. Everyone else wanted me to pay around $1000 or go through my insurance, which obviously I didn't want to. They took care of me for the exact same amount of work for about $380. I love these guys. I hope I never see them again lol, but if I need to I will surely go to them. read more

Worst place ever! Took my car here after it was vandalized, it needed a new paint job, caliber collision promised to have it done in 2 to 3 weeks tops... here I am still waiting going into week 9 for a paint job.. plus I drive by and see my car with all the windows down on a weekend while it is pouring rain outside, it also has a human sized man whole cut into the back passenger door. I call caliber collision first thing Monday morning to find out what is going on and they tell me they had to cut my door open on my car because they jammed it shut and couldn't get it open, so they were waiting on a new door and latch. (Mind you absolutely nothing was wrong with the way anything operated on the car) it was only in there for a paint job.. So here I am still waiting now for over two months without my new car.. talk about this being an inconvenience to my family and not only that but also a financial hardship because my insurance only covered the first 30 days of my rental car. And who knows what else will end up being wrong with my brand new car since it was left exposed to the rain storm on all the interior electronic parts... Update: Going into week 10! They still don't have it done and informed me they have no clue when it will be done. Update: Heading into month 3 without my car.. I've held out as long as I can but can't afford the $1,700 dollar a month rental for a car to drive and my $600.00 a month car payment for a car I don't even have plus full coverage insurance. I'm going to have to voluntarily surrender my car. This is absolutely horrible. Please save yourself many months of agony and go with someone else to fix your car, Caliber Collision is the worst! They do not care! Absolutely devastated. read more

I ended up taking my older clunker car in for some work after I decided to let my front end meet up with a bumper hitch from the truck in front of me. Caliber Collision gave me my car back without my license plates & with a missing piece by my tire & I've been calling for 8 straight days and no one can help me expect the rep that handled my claim and she's "always busy." Was traveling and had about 300 miles left to go. Unexpected breakage of one of the windows. Glass was everywhere. I was looking for a car cleaning location and saw Caliber Collision on Glendale Ave. I asked if they could clear the broken glass so it would not cut me and the seats. I offered to pay and Matt the manager said they would clean the glass to get me on the road. They would not take any money. They did an excellent job. When I returned home I took the car to the local Caliber Collision Center for permanent repairs. Alise did a great job detailing. Matt the manager did a great service to a desperate traveler.
