The work in my car was ok..took two days longer than expected and expensive...but the reason for the meh review is that my garage door clicker was gone from my visor when I picked up the car from Caliber. There is no way I removed it or it was lost by me-- I need it to get in and out of my gate. I called Caliber twice about it and got a sort of "why are you bothering me with this?" response. No call backs. So I had to replace it. Now I know why it disappeared: $50 to replace plus $100 to reprogram. No doubt these have some sort of resale value. Brought my Mercedes in to fix a nasty scratch I got on my front bumper. Dropped it off by 9am and it was ready that same day before I got off work at 5pm all I had to do was pick it up. Cannot write enough positive things about Caliber Collision on Walnut in Pasadena. From my initial phone call with General Manager Manuel Ramirez I knew my van would be in good hands. Manuel requested photos of the damage and gave me an approximate figure as to what it would cost to repair. He was courteous, friendly, and helpful. When I brought in the van estimator Anthony Ramirez gave the vehicle a thorough inspection, and even pointed out areas that could simply be buffed out. This type of honesty was valuable to me in trusting their work and its cost. When the van was ready I couldn't believe how beautiful it looked! There was even old damage to the rear bumper that Caliber repaired and painted. Without additional cost! The van looked brand new!! Even little scrapes on the side mirrors were touched up with paint! Caliber Collision truly wants to please the customer with first rate service and first rate workmanship. I brought my 2015 "black" RAM 1500 into the shop for repairs to the door a couple months back. The door shell had to be replaced and painted. The truck had approximately 5K miles with flawless paint. I get my car back and it looks like they used a sander to "blend" the door with the cab and front fender. They manager stated after the project was finished that they weren't skilled enough to match new paint without blending the old and new which consisted of buffing the $^*^& out of my new truck. I brought the truck back and was told they had 3 different individuals look at it, but couldn't see a problem. I find it absolutely ridiculous that the passenger side of my vehicle looks brand new as it should; however, the driver side cab, door and front fender is complete garbage. Don't waste your time or money. I now have to take my car to a professional to get the paint corrected. read more

I don't have a clue as to why Yelp removed my factual, non-emotional, and DOCUMENTED (with photos) review of this place -- you would think they would want to warn customers as to what I reveal about their work-- but I guess they are doing it more .to protect bad businesses (and you might want to note that EVERY review after mine on here is absolutely GLOWING as if they just visited Heaven... do you genuinely think there are this many real customers who feel the need to go this far out of their way??? In any case, here's the simple scoop (and I will post this everywhere online until Yelp stops censoring bad reviews): They left my car with paint bubbles, runs, and indentations where there were none when I brought it in; scraped the edge of the exterior of my driver's door; and left a big, gooey, petroleum-solvent-like permanent stain on the top edge of the light-grey inside of my passenger door. Do they give free coffee and get your car back relatively quickly? Sure. But if you actually care about your car -- and would like it to retain its resale value -- I would look elsewhere. read more

The positive reviews about customer service and speed are on the money. Unfortunately, have to agree with negative reviews re: quality. I just picked up my wife's car, which had minor bumper damage after being rear-ended. Thank goodness I inspected before leaving, because a section of the bumper (which was repaired, not replaced) had actual GAPS in the paint and oddly rough paint surfaces. You could see through to the primer underneath. Either the guys doing prep & paint were blind as bats or Caliber has shoddy quality control. This was a run-of-the-mill bumper repair, and I got bush-league, amateur-hour work. The cust. service rep was contrite and apologetic when I showed him, though he first tried to explain away the obvious flaws as leftover wax streaks. He did the right thing and offered for me to leave the car then & there so they could take another run at it. I'm taking the car back this week so they can make it right. Hopefully round 2 turns out better. read more

These guys are amazing! And incredibly helpful. I stopped in to get an estimate for repair of a dent in the bumper of my 2008 Toyota Camry hybrid, and Alex said a full repair would cost from $750 - 800. He told me I could repair it myself, just take a hair dryer and warm the bumper up and pop it back out, which is what I had heard from several others. He started showing me how I would do it, and before I knew it he had removed a nut here and a screw there, and Craig the manager joined him. In about an hour they had the dent popped back out and sent me on my way. The price of the repair? This Yelp review! I will definitely come here again when I have a major repair to be done. I had a huge dent in front bumper of my 2003 Honda Accord. I planned to pay for the repairs out of pocket. I wanted to find a reliable body shop in the Pasadena Area. I did go to an auto body shop that was approved by my insurance company but the estimate was very expensive. I did research using Yelp, Angie's List, Better Business Bureau, and Googling via the web. I came up with four shops, including Classic Collision Center (CCC), I wanted estimates from. However, there was nothing in the web that gave me a definitive choice or a lot of confidence on any of the four. Eric Brown, the manager from Classic Collision Center gave me the estimate. He gave me an estimate for a Honda bumper and an aftermarket bumper. The price he gave me for the Honda bumper was slightly lower to one of the other shops. The third shop suggested fixing the existing bumper and the cost was similar the new Honda bumper estimate from CCC. The fourth told me they could not give me an accurate estimate until I leave my car with them. They have to remove the bumper and then write an estimate. The estimator, Mike, told me he didn't know how long I need to leave my car to get the estimate. To top it of - he said the cost could be up to $3,000. He was so ridiculous that I will tell you it was Marco's Auto Body on North Fair Oaks in Pasadena. What stood out from CCC's estimate was the aftermarket bumper which was about 18% less. My concern was if there would be a noticeable difference and if the aftermarket bumper would fit properly. Eric assured me that I would not notice any difference with the aftermarket bumper. Well - I decided to let CCC fix my car. I was still apprehensive about the whole thing. If I had filed a claim with my insurance company (which I did not) I would simply go with a shop they recommend and in most cases it works well because the shops don't want to jeopardize their relationship with the insurance company. I also rely on the web these days and there was not a lot of good info on auto body shops in Pasadena. Well - CCC did an excellent job on my Honda. The fit was excellent. The paint much was very good. They were fast, friendly and timely. One last thing I want to add - there were a few dings I had asked them to tough up and they did with no additional charge. I had learned that they are approved my AAA (not my insurance co) and they also do repair work for Glendale Honda, I highly recommend CCC and Eric Brown. read more

They had the adjuster come out for the estimate, then later said more work was needed, never contacted me when the car is ready and never contacted the adjuster for the extra cost, I paid the difference to get the car out before the weekend so I don' t have to pay for extra two days of car rental. They never called me to notify me that the car was ready, they were just going to wait for the insurance adjuster, who claims he never heard from the body shop. The work wasn't even done right with paint overspray and dent on the door. So I had to return the car again so that they can do the job right. The insurance company can't seem to get in contact with the shop to figure out how to reimburse me for the extra I had to pay out, so now I'm out several hundred dollars, all because I took my car to this place. I'd definitely avoid this place. Poor quality of repair, poor communication with customers, and poor communication with insurance companies. read more

Amazing service and went well beyond what they were required to do. I asked them to remove some deep scratches in a panel and charge me for it, ( car was in for a different reason paid by insurance ) and they removed them at no cost. I frequent one of the other Classic locations for mechanical work, which they do a great job.... but when I went there to do my body work... let's just say I had some complaints. When I arrived at the Pasadena location, Eric the manager who over sees the body shops for all the locations, took really great care of me. He noticed the body work was not up to par and went to work to remedy the situation immediately! Cristina, his front office manager was fantastic too. She made sure I was comfortable, and chatted with me, and she allowed me to vent my anger about the sister shop. Someone rear-ended me and USAA told me to go to this place for my repair. The guy who helped me, Tony, was great -- he answered all my questions and made recommendations. I only had a minor issue on the bumper of my RDX. He explained what they would do to repair it; they were able to keep the original bumper. Tony made the repair in about a day and a half. My car looks like new! And Tony even fixed an issue on the side of my bumper for me. Even though I didn't pay, I saw the estimate and it was reasonable. The entire shop is run professionally. I own a Prius, so it's easy to scrape and tear the front bumper. After getting a couple of higher estimates with longer repair times, I went to Classic Collision Center on the recommendation of a friend. Although I work in Studio City, it was worth the drive to Pasadena for their superior service. Not only did they repair my car for less than my deductible, but they had it back to me in less than 48 hours, looking like I'd just driven it off the showroom floor! I dropped my car off there and they told me it would take 6-7 days or so and I'd get text message follow ups and phone calls every day with updated info.
