Terrible customer service. Was t-boned a few months back; called my insurance co (AAA) and they mentioned this place, which was close, easy to get to if I was going to be car-less, etc so had them tow it there. I got home, called AAA to file and what not. Had barely hung up when I got a very rude call asking why my car was there and they needed info immediately. I called AAA back and told them and their response was, essentially, "WTF, this accident basically just happened; they shouldn't be doing this." So they do their thing, the other driver's company does their thing, I'm told an adjuster is going over. He's told the car isn't there. After some investigating, I find out they "won't work with" the other guy's insurance co. I call them, they have absolutely no idea why and say they work with tons of other Caliber locations. I mention it to the adjuster who's also absolutely confused as to what's happening. All the while, every communication I have directly with anyone there is just totally rude and unaccommodating. The day I showed up to have the car towed out (to Boulevard Collision down the road, who were night and day better) they couldn't have been any less helpful. I'm not sure how a place this unprofessional stays in business but if I'm unfortunate enough to need bodywork done again, I'd go ANYWHERE else before here. read more

Horrible experience. We were hit by an Allstate driver, and we were sent to this location with an appointment at 7:30am for them to examine the damages. When we arrived, the man there who said his name was Moon, started giving my husband attitude because apparently they don't make 7:30am appointments. Well, All State made the appointment, and we were just doing as we were told. The guy continued to give him attitude. I went into the office to show him my confirmation text message with the appointment time, he began giving me attitude as well. He cut me off and threw his hand up for me to stop talking. He came outside and apologized after I told them I was filing a complaint with Allstate. He shook our hands and we thought everything was fine. He marked up the vehicle and we left. A couple hours later, the Caliber collision area manager called and stated they wouldn't work on our vehicle because their staff doesn't "feel safe" lol. Wtf? You're a bunch of weirdos. read more

He tried his best to get my car done by the end of the week and he succeeded. My car looks brand new like nothing ever happened to it and I am really happy. So the story continues with Calibur. When we got out Element back, we had to have it sent back a few times. 1st time.. check engine shows when we got it back They come pick it up, check it out and say there's oil hitting the injector.. also making it misfire.. We paid out of pocket to get it fixed with our mechanic. I'm sure this had todo with the accident but we still paid. Along with that there was a odd shake in the car.. My mechanic said the frame could be bent.. but caliber said they checked it out and it wasn't bent..My mechanic didnt want to touch touch it since caliber were the ones doing the work..caliber had also fixed 3 motor mounts and 1 transmission.. We didn't do any kind of off terrain driving.. typical highway miles.. few months later the motor mount completely breaks off! The engine dropped about an 1 inch or 2. My car received some deep scratched on the door panel after a hit and run, my insurance recommended 3 shops. One of which was this Caliber Collision location, I ended up choosing this one due to its close distance to me and the reviews. It took a little bit of time to get an appointment for estimate since they are so popular and my available time frames were limited but they were so friendly each time I went in (for estimate and for drop off). After drop off, I got daily emailed updates from Mun Pang of the progress of my car, and they even completed it early. They offer an Uber ride home (I didn't realize so my husband picked me up when I dropped off the car), and when my car was ready for pick up but I was unable to by the required time they offered to take it back to my house!!! Carlos was absolutely amazing at coordinating and keeping me updated with the drop off. Not only that, but the paint job looks amazing (you can't even tell any that they repainted the area due to the amazing blending) and they completely washed/detailed the inside and the outside. terrible. terrible service if you get estimator Man Pang just run, right away as soon as I got there and spoke to him. he was already on the defensive. I got rear ended, the damage was not much but enough for me to take my BMW in and get the dents fixed. He noticed a few minor scratches on the side of the bumper and said because of the existing damage caliber collision could not guarantee my work. I told him the minor scratches are due to normal wear and tear of the car and his response was " what you should do is keep the car as it is until there's major damage but if you want more money just take it to a regular shop." I told him I didn't want more money, I just want the damage the other guy caused to be fixed and i just needed a quote to figure out how to move forward. He came back with the quote and I asked "if the guy comes and decides to pay cash can he bring it here." he said "no due to them guaranteeing their work" and "because of the cracked paint on the side of the car" they were unable to guaranteeing. I told him "the paint was due to normal wear and tear the car is a 2006 and not like I did anything on purpose to the car, that I would need to talk to my insurance and complain over wear and tear because this was ridiculous" he said "don't complain there's no need its not ridiculous" . As I am responding to his comment he turns around and closes the door on me. if I could give zero starts I would. I'm including the scratches on why the car didn't pass inspection. The bumper would need to get painted regardless of the scratches due to me gettin rear ended and the damage denting and cutting through the bumper so I really don't see the point on why the work cannot be guaranteed! If your car has minor wear and tear just avoid this shop completely. edit to add: he said my insurance wouldn't cover it either due to their company policy and clause. I just talked to my insurance and they said as long as I pay the deductible they would fix it. They are also confused on why he would reject the car due to minor wear and tear but said that ultimately it was their call and are having me take it to another shop. read more

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! It took them almost 3 weeks to pick my car up, once they did pick it up it took them 2 1/2 weeks to do the estimate. Then, without warning or notice, I get a threatening text message saying that I would be charged storage fees and be taken to small claims court if I didn't pick up my car. They lost my car key and gave it back with a dead battery. An industrial strength piece of tape was left on the hood and when I removed it adhesive gunk was left all over it. Took my vehicle to Caliber Collision in Long Beach after having an accident shortly after I moved to California a few months back. It was my official welcome to California! My service advisor at Caliber was Mark Martinez. This man was absolutely great. He listened to my concerns, was empathetic and kind about the accident and provided regular updates on the progress of the repairs. He was also great in notifying me of any delays due to parts delays and so forth. He also performed the initial inspection of the damages timely and provided an estimate promptly. They began the work right away and stood firmly behind their work and craftsmanship. The repairs were under warranty and a bit of the trim on the door needed a bit of tweaking. This was no problem at all as Mark and his manager were quick to resolve the issue. My car looked so nice upon completion. No one wants to get into an accident but if you do, Caliber is the ONLY shop to consider. Thank goodness I have had but a few accidents for as long as I have been driving. I have used Caliber Collision on both the East and West Coast and would not think to use any other body shop nor would I feel more comfortable than I do entrusting them with my vehicle. Outstanding! I needed to get an oil change and I couldn't get my hood open. So i took it to caliber and they totally hooked me up. They got my hood open and fixed my hood latch cable and release. It was a simple fix but needed their help. They were so incredibly professional and nice. At the end of it they didn't even charge they did it for free. Absolutely without a doubt the worst repairs you could possibly have done to your vehicle. My insurance provider uses them and so you are strongly encouraged to go to one of their facilities. Since having the repairs done there I have now been without my vehicle for over three months as I have had to take it to another company to repair all of the incorrect maintenance that was performed at caliber. They left critical parts off of my vehicle didn't prime the backside of fenders because you can't see them. Bent internal components that should've been replaced to fit the new fenders rather than replace everything so it fits properly. I realize they did this to increase their profit margin however long term impact would've diminish the value of my vehicle even further when I would have unexplained corrosion eating through the backside and ultimately appearing on the surface. Take the time and speak with your insurance provider to seek out another body shop repair location then a caliber location. It will be worth your time and effort in the long run. read more
