I've seen places like these all over Los Angeles, so I knew when I needed them, I would get a great service. Half of that is true. Two weeks prior to bringing my car and I went for an estimate. I really liked what I heard when it came to repairing to my doors: We can get it done in two days. Although my repairs were very minor, they did indeed to get it done in two days. That is very difficult to promise due to the fact that so much had to be done with my doors, putting them on and off and getting new clips for them. They did it. Very impressive. The problem came when my hopes to get it at the end of day on the second day were not met. It seems the issue was short staffing and my car fifth in line for a hand wash. I got the call about an hour before they closed, but I'm afraid it looked like I was going to lose money and not have my car for the night. Not good for my business. What made it worse is that I couldn't get it the next morning until a couple hours into the day, when I needed my car to drive a client to the airport. I was not very happy about that. I lost money to pay for this impressive job that I have to work harder for. It's hard to be pissed off about it because I'm thrilled for how amazing the job was done. Either they talk down to you, cut corners, or just are so busy that it is hard to get anyone to explain anything that was done. I would like to thank Nahum Martinez and the staff at the Caliber location at 3399 E. Willow. My wife's brand new lexus was scratched by a neighbors son's bike. After getting a quote from a competitor for nearly 2 thousand dollars, Nahum went to his manager and asked if they could try to buff it out for me. They pulled a guy off another job and he wet sanded it, buffed it out, and 20 minutes later you could hardly tell It was there. They could have easily talked me into an expensive repair but was amazed they went out of there way to buff it out for free! My Corolla was rear-ended pretty badly, but just short of being totaled. The other driver's insurance paid for repairs and offered a list of repair locations with a lifetime warranty for the work. Caliber was one of those locations, and I can see now why they would have that lifetime warranty, Caliber does exceptional work. Keith managed my car's repair, and he does a great job. He gave me regular updates every day or so to let me know how it was going / what they're working on each day, and I got my car back with all the repairs finished only 1 week later, which is really fast considering the scale of repairs/replacements that were needed (the trunk lid, the floor of the trunk, all of the rear bumper, all the paint work). As a bonus, I just noticed this weekend that they had even touched up the paint on other parts of the car unrelated to the crash or insurance claim, and I don't recall those touch ups even being mentioned! It was just a quiet and kind gesture and it is much appreciated. The main final product (my car's rear) looks fantastic, and overall my car looks better than before the crash. If I ever need more body work, I know where I'm going. read more

I came in with a hood unable to close after I got an oil change at Toyota. I was very frustrated because Toyota told me I shouldn't really drive it anywhere because I'd be at risk of breaking my windshield. A couple months ago I took my car here for an estimate, followed by repair. This was my first time using the Comp part of my insurance so I wasn't sure what to expect. I called for an appointment here as my insurance company recommended this place and upon my arrival I was greeted by Mark whom I ended up working with through the entire process. I first received an estimate which seemed reasonable and very detailed. After the thumbs up from my insurance and easy coordination on that side, my car was in the hands of Mark and the Caliber team. The initial time frame quoted went over, but I was informed ahead of time. Best part of dealing with this company was communication. I had text message updates, email updates, and phone calls so I knew the status of my vehicle at all times. I have had my car back for over a month and everything fixed looks brand new. TERRIBLE. Calibur claimed my vehicle only had a broken strut and some fender damage but I knew I had experienced a lot of play in the steering wheel so I made sure to mention there was likely an issue with the steering column and to tell the mechanic before they started the repairs. After being told by Caliber that the vehicle was finished and safe to drive, I picked up the vehicle and immediately knew the vehicle was not test driven at all and definitely fully repaired as the steering column and wheel had a lot of play and movement. I was advised by Caliber to return the vehicle to their mechanic to do further investigation. I literally drove the car to the mechanic and drove him around the block to show the very clear banging noises and loose steering. I was then told by Carlos @ Caliber later that their mechanic declared the major steering issues I was experiencing were due to wear and tear and that they would not be included in the vehicle's insured repairs. I knew this was not true as the vehicle had never been in an accident and this issue was not present at all prior to the incident. To make things worse, it even seemed they were implying I was trying to get something unfairly. Calibur did a terrible inspection of the vehicle and now that the repairs were incomplete they wanted to pass that burden on to the customer. West Coast Toyota did the further investigation into the vehicle's damage and located obvious steering shaft damage that was related to the impact, not wear and tear. Even at the dealership Calibur tried to get involved and take a cut of the repairs from my insurance. This all caused more delays, confusion and I still don't have confidence in the repairs on my vehicle. Absolute nightmare repair scenario. read more
