*****Please beware before hiring this company. I saw a few reviews and photos of damaged items online and when I called I asked them about it. Erik said that on occassion it happens but they are bonded and insured and I would be 100% covered if anything happened. I felt good about our call and appreciated his honesty so I hired them. The movers were great but they dropped my 80 inch televison and broke it. I reached out and spoke with Nickie, she sent me some paperwork to fill out a claim. I then recevied a check in the mail for $32 for a $2500 television. I called and asked her about this and she said I didn't select the upgraded insurace. I told her that was never offered to me. I then emailed Richard and told them I would be reaching out to an attorney, he said they would submit the claim for the full amount. A few weeks later I got a call from the insurance adjuster who told me they were going to deny the claim due to the fact that the truck and the driver were not insured. I have tried for several month to settle with Cali Movers and they and not willing to give me anything more then the $32. I have since read other reveiws where this has happened to several other people. Its unfortuantae as this company has such potential but I have never had such horrible customer service. Would NOT recommend Cali Movers. We hired them for packing & moving. Had a few glitches during the packing (ie they packed up the bedding on the bed I told them I was sleeping on overnight so I had to open boxes to locate). The move went well, but when we went back to our old house to close up realized they left a bunch of stuff in the house, pictures on the wall, and their empty Monster energy cans on the counter. We had to do several loads back and forth to finish the move ourselves. Then, when we opened up the boxes we found broken picture frames. I am so grateful for Cali Movers. My first interaction was with Oscar. He was very helpful in organizing our move. We had a few glitches come up along on moving day but Oscar was right on top of it helping us figure out our next step. Our three movers were David, Jose and Andersen. All three men were extremely helpful, courteous and kind. Even during the moments of having to rethink things, they were professional and helpful. We are still working on the move but to this point we are very happy with the company and would recommend them in a heart beat. After an very stressful year, i wasn't looking forward to the move. The movers themselves were great. They were efficient, communicated well and only left a couple of scratches on my new white walls. The stuff they moved did pretty well too. There was only one insignificant casualty. I had to lower the stars when I went back to the old house and saw how much was left behind. They left the connections for my dryer, a part of my bed and much more. I ended up having to rent a U-Haul and additional movers after paying them way more than expected. They drastically underestimated how long the job would take resulting in a price over three times the initial quote. So, call them but if you have a 3 bedroom call it at least a 4, maybe a 5 to make sure your truck is big enough. If there were full bedroom sets in each of my rooms I'd have even more left behind. This company is the worst. Stay away. I've moved around the world multiple times and domestically several times. I have never experienced what I did from this company. On OCT 22 I moved my storage with them to another site. The main guy, he called himself Junior, was verbally abusive for 4 hours. I allege he must have been mentally challenged. He reported to management accusing me of the kind of verbal abuse he was doing to me the whole time. Management accepted his word and in effect called me a liar. The person I spoke to today was one of the owners, Jay. This might be a great example of 'the rot starts at the head' The owners attitude was terrible. The first time I used this company a guy showed up with two assistants. He immediately complained because there was a small amount of packing to do. Then quit and left. I was stuck because I needed to move out that day. So they sent another team and gouged me on the price. Then they gouged me on storage (which is why I was moving the goods). Then gouged me again to move the goods from their storage to my new storage. This is the worst company I have ever experienced. Any positive review for this company was most likely written by the company. The worst. Stay away. read more

I needed to move 50 heavy file boxes to a warehouse from the house and then have furniture from my storage brought to the house. Cali Movers sales staff made it super easy and the actual movers were quick, on time, and took good care of my items. They really had to work hard, espeically with their masks on, but they kept good spirits. I highly recommend. The large truck they brought might have been over kill, but at least it made it easy for them to get everything in and out. read more

I used Cali Movers last week to move from Laguna Niguel to Redondo Beach. They were right on time, and very courteous and professional. We were moving into a home that had been remodeled from the studs up, and they took great pains not to nick, scuff or scratch the new walls. I would use them again in an instant. Cali Movers moved everything efficiently and effectively and I was so glad to have them in my corner on moving day! I had a sofa bed love seat that I wanted in the upstairs bedroom and despite the fact that it probably shouldn't have fit, they made it work without complaint. They also moved my priceless upright piano (an heirloom from my grandma) with care. Awesome work ethic and attitudes! BEWARE!! DON'T USE CALI MOVERS...I GURARANTEE YOU'LL BE SORRY!! If you have a schedule move with them...cancel it!! You could end up in the same situation as me....or you could get lucky...but why take the risk?!!! I wish someone told this before I paid $1100 to book them and in return I received another almost $3000 in expenses which are the costs to replace all the items they broke during the move. Another irritating thing is they saved all of the damaged items to move last, while Pedro had me looking at the iPad to sign everything. Utterly Ridiculous and unscrupulous business!!! Now they tell me the claims process takes at least 2 weeks and to send them the date the items were purchased and the value paid then. In the meantime, I can't watch my 65" tv, that was wrapped in plastic wrap, covered with moving blanket and STILL came up BROKEN (see pic below). The same goes for my lift top coffee table. It was covered in moving blankets, wrapped in plastic and the corner is missing (see pic below). Now they offer me $60 for my claim. RIDICULOUS!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY !!!!!!! I moved from Vista to La Quinta as my husband and I are both 77 years old we wanted a moving company who would pack up most of our household items. Michael came to our house and spent about an hour looking at everything we needed packed and moved and assured us there would no problem for them to do the packing and moving. Because we lived on a hill we needed two smaller truck as a big truck would not fit in our driveway. Six movers and 11.5 hours later we were packed up and ready to move to our new home the next day. Everything was fine until the movers started unpacking boxes and placing them in our new house it was then that the nightmare began. When they moved our dining room table in and began to place the top on the base they couldn't find the screws so the table couldn't be put together and 7 days later we still don't have a dining room table to use. They didn't keep anything together. We have 4 TV's and each one had it's own plugs and cables so instead of packing each TV with it's own connection cables they just dumped all the pugs and cables in a box for us to sort out. We were charged by the hour and when they put the bed frames together they had the wrong frames on two of the beds so they had to spend extra time undoing the beds and putting them back together correctly which cost extra time and money. I am still unpacking and have found my Kerig coffee maker broken, my computer printer broken and several bowls and dishes were broken because they just dumped everything into boxes without any care. They packed my sugar bowl and salt container with the sugar and salt still in them and of course everything spilled out everywhere. While moving one of the bed frames into the new house they took a large chip out of the wall. Nothing was packed together, lamps in one box their shades in different boxes so it has been a real experience trying to unpack and find what pieces go together. There are too many other problems to mention. Let this be a WARNING if you value your property and your sanity DO NOT USE Cali Moving. read more
