DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! By far the worst moving…read moreexperience of my life. This company was subcontracted by American van lines to fulfil our contract with AVL. To make a very long story short, we were verbally promised delivery within 7-10 days, latest was July 10th, of the pick up date. That did not happen. They even blew past the 20 day delivery window in the contract. Our delivery did not show up until July 27th. All the while we were receiving harassing texts demanding the rest of the payment or else they would turn around. And when the truck did finally arrive, only the driver was present to unload it. We paid for loading and unloading services and were basically left on own with the driver to unload. I have a physical disability and was unable to help, so my partner bore the burden of five grueling hours of unloading a 26 foot moving truck with the driver. We contacted the company after an hour or two passes and still no other movers arrived and were told that, in fact, they WERE there! They even argued with us saying that the movers confirmed they would be there in 45 minutes, 2 hours ago. And yet. No movers. Also the driver used a slur in front of my partner and I about a group of people that I belong to. Absolutely disgusting.

Honestly, I barely broke a sweat all day because they were so efficient! They took what would have been a very stressful move and made it feel organized and manageable. I recently had the pleasure of using Orda Moving Company for my move from CA to MA, and I can confidently say that I was extremely satisfied with their long fiservice. From start to finish, the team at Orda Moving Company provided me with exceptional service and care that made my move as stress-free as possible. I initially worked with Nick, who was responsive and provided me with all the necessary information I needed to make an informed decision. Their price was very reasonable compared to other moving companies I had consulted with. After signing the contract, Monica contacted me to ensure that everything was on track for the move. She was also very responsive and thoughtful, thinking about the customer's perspective in every situation. She even offered to order a cover for my car to protect it during transport, which was something I had not thought of. On the day of the move, GANI and his team arrived promptly and were incredibly responsible and professional. GANI asked me to show him the entire house, and he and his team carefully wrapped every piece of furniture and took great care to ensure that everything was packed securely. They disassembled everything, and the move took longer than expected, but the quality of their work never decreased. I found Orda's sister company through Yelp's handy multiple quote tool. Adam was super great - he responded quickly with a flat rate quote & a commitment spelled out professionally in a letter that included the pickup, delivery addresses (2 stops), and date and time - all within a couple hours of when my quote request went out to them. The pickup went smoothly - Orda's Joe & Nick arrived to me in Westwood on time, picked up quickly, were super polite, and were off to meet my sister in Redondo Beach ahead of schedule. Now - I have never been to the dropoff location. So I had no clue that there were multiple, hairpin stair flights for old couches to be taken away down and replacement couches navigated up. I can only imagine Joe & Nick's surprise! But Nick figured out how to get the seemingly impossible done, and then they made it happen. This job ultimately required them to heave an old sectional sofa over the balcony & OUT, and then 2 newer big sofas over the balcony and IN to the apartment, because the hairpin stairs would not have been maneuverable. They did it, like absolute champs! Then - as if that wasn't enough of a snafu - my sister wanted them to donate her old sofa to the local thrift store, but when they arrived, they wouldn't accept it. So the guys had to re-route to another thrift store, which thankfully did end up taking it. Yes, it ended up costing a bit more - but it was totally understandable considering the extra effort to put the couches over the balcony and to make the extra stop. My sister fully agreed - and even tipped the guys over and above that increase, because it was obvious how challenging this job had turned out to be. Less dedicated guys would have given up, but Nick & Joe aced this job like complete professionals. Joe even told me - "Nick loves a challenge!". Orda Moving is hands down one of the fastest, most efficient, and most helpful full service moving companies anywhere but especially in Southern California. I sent information to almost 100 companies over a month's time, getting quotes for my first long distance move since becoming a parent and my first using anyone other than myself to make it happen . They promptly quoted me an all inclusive rate and never once wavered on it, even when I clarified specifics that lead to many companies tacking on exorbitant fees (for eg., I estimated a total of 50-60 boxes but about 3 weeks before the move, realized it would be closer to 100) and their rate was by far the best from the beginning as was. They moved our entire household, minus the 3 pets and 4 people and whatever we could cram into our SUV around us, from Indio CA to Marina CA; loaded the truck from 8am-1pm in 115 degree desert heat, including the wrapping and packing of items I didn't know how to properly handle or hadn't gotten to yet; took fine care of our belongings overnight; and showed up promptly at 9am the next morning at our new home almost 8 hours drive north from the previous. They were courteous about my numerous questions, disassembled and reassembled items we could not have done easily ourselves, and worked at a quick pace and intense focus the entire time. When we move next, I'd be willing to consider LA as a potential location for zero other reason than the confidence I'd have in booking this excellent company--if I could afford a place big enough to fit the family . Orda made our move as stress free as it could have been and greatly eased the transition process for myself, my husband, our two small children and the pets. Oscar and his team were amazing from start to finish! It was nice not having to worry about a thing. We had complete trust in everything they did. We moved out of a three story labyrinth with a lot of large heavy boxes and a ton of tiny trinkets. The team meticulously wrapped every single item with care. Never complained about move things down three flights of stairs. If they were uncertain about anything, Oscar would call or text to make sure everything was the way we wanted it done. The day of the unpacking, they arrived right on time and unpacked everything very quickly. They brought our furniture to the exact spot we wanted and assembled everything. These guys were on time. With a busy schedule, that was an important factor for me. I asked to start between 9-9.30am, and Eric and Marc texted me at 8am to confirm they will be arrive at 9. And sure enough, they were at my storage unit at 9 on the dot. These guys handled all of my furniture and belonging with respect and efficiency. I wanted to donate to Goodwill and they stopped by the donation center to drop off the items I wanted before going to my new residence to unload. They completed the drop off and unloading very quickly and well within the 3 hour time slot. For All big ticket items when unloading, they were sure to ask where I wanted the items placed. My wife and I had a move from LA to Seattle about a month ago. When we were looking for movers, we were concerned with finding ones that were responsive, fair in pricing, and would arrive on time. Adam, Nick, and their team were all responsive to my texts and calls before and during the move. They arrived on time, loaded up the packed boxes, and helped finish disassemble and pack our larger items. It turned out that, in the case of Orda, the fears of our things not arriving on time were misplaced. In fact, they got to Seattle a day before we did! Once we arrived, they then quickly unpacked the truck and helped assemble the biggest furniture we had. Booked this company for a schedule move today from Palos Verdes to San Pedro it's a great company they got the job done in under 7 hours the only thing I didn't like that one of the guys (the one packing in the kitchen) didn't get his name he was on his cell phone most of the move he was helping in packing kitchen which wasn't a lot to pack and throughout the whole move he was in his phone texting also I had stepped out to run some errands and when I came back home he was playing music off my smart speaker I didn't tell him anything but he was very unprofessional the other two guys where getting the job done quick and fast as possible .. pros: they didn't break or damage any of my items will think twice about hiring them again for my future moves read more

This is hands down the best moving experience I have ever had!!! Oscar, Ben and Kent went above and beyond to help me with my move!! I decided kind of last minute to move so all my stuff was just scattered all over the place, and coming back from weeks of traveling for conferences, I was just so exhausted and even felt that I could never make it on time!! However, the Oscar team is just soooo great and got everything done at light speed!! At the end of day, I was soooooo impressed by their efficiency, plus all of them are really nice and hardworking people!! I will definitely choose Orda Moving again!! We were so lucky to have gotten Ben and his team to move our home from DTLA to Rancho Mirage yesterday. Seriously, in just one day they seemed like family and I was a actually a little sad to have to say goodbye. They were EXTREMELY efficient, EXTREMELY careful and thoughtful and above and beyond just really really nice, genuine and overall great people. I used Orda a couple of weeks ago and they were great!!! I've used other moving companies before, but this was my best experience so far. Irving, Hector, and Elias were respectful and polite. They wrapped all the furniture and moved it carefully. I was worried about my marble dining table, but they thoroughly wrapped it and carefully took it down the stairs, which is no easy feat since it weighs over 400lbs. These guys worked hard the entire 4hrs it took to move and never slowed down! Their hard work and care helped ease the stress of the move. Hands down THE best moving company I've ever used! I've moved a total of 7 times, each move has been a different experience. With that being said, I must say these movers were the best I've experienced, they were the most efficient and quick too! Bob and T were friendly, hard working and extremely professional. I have never been so pleased with a moving experience, because it's usually a bit stressful, but these guys took that stress away and really put me at ease. I recently used Orda Moving to relocate from my one-bedroom apartment in DTLA to a house in Azusa, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. The team of 3 movers arrived early and finished in just over 4.5 hours, including the required double drive time. They worked efficiently, handled my items with great care, and provided plenty of wardrobe boxes to make the move smoother. I am happy that chos Orda moving company yesterday to move to a new apartment. They responded very fast and arrived with a team properly organized. They are really fast and effective movers and packed my furniture very accurate and helped me to move even it was a holiday period. I also spoke directly with CSI and was told the claim was closed at your company's direction--not due to any lack of response from me. The floor damage was hidden by boxes your movers placed throughout the area. Once the boxes were removed, the scratches were visible and I notified you within two days. That is reasonable notice. The $0.60/lb valuation is irrelevant here. This is not about damaged household goods--it's about property damage caused by your employees. Scratching new granite flooring with dollies is negligence, and that liability rests with your company, not the customer. Very disappointing handling of a clear issue.

However, after asking all my questions about my move and how long it would take, they became antagonistic. I am a single lady with not a lot of stuff to move. Everything was going to be packed already so the movers would just transport everything. I estimated no more than an hour to load, an hour to unload, and an hour to drive to my new place. The person said "let's do the math together" and said it would take 7-8 hours! I replied saying I find that hard to believe since my friends and I could move me in an hour at each place and we're not professionals. After I said that, I was told they wouldn't hook up my appliances, after they said they would. Or they would hook them up but would charge me extra. I don't trust these people. I just tried to get a quote and they were extremely rude as well as coming up with additional fees out of the blue. I do NOT recommend. EDIT: the guys response below is an example of how he will treat you. Very condescending. While he feels it is impossible to do that move, my friend and I were able to do the move in four hours and we are not professionals. There's some info for you. Apparently it takes professionals double the time with double the people.

Previously when I moved, I had movers who can shrink wrap everything by themselves- one person with a some kind of tool. These guys took the shrink wrap and literally walked around with the furniture, so it took some time. I had to move some of the lighter boxes with my roommate downstairs to speed up the process. Another perk of hiring movers is because they can take apart your bed and put it together. Except the one guy who took bed apart took soooo long to do so. Again, manually doing it with a screwdriver instead of using power tools. I know that sometimes it's better not to use power tools so you don't damage the furniture but uhhh that's if you're inexperienced. Okay, not my biggest complaint. Here's the part that is the most bothersome. My bed is new and quite expensive. When they were wrapping up my bed, they left one piece (the footboard) behind. My guess is because it was the smallest piece but that doesn't mean you don't cover it up. They threw it in on top of a box and I brought it to their attention. The guys told me that it would be fine & they would throw a blanket on top of it. Well, now I have all these scruffs all along the side of my footboard. Yes, it may seem minor but it could of been avoided if they just shrink wrapped my footboard when I asked them to. Then I notice a missing screw between my bed & the attached side/night stand. Never brought it to my attention. Perhaps they thought I wouldn't realize it??? It's a pretty crucial piece actually as it holds the bottom shelf from sloping downwards. Now I have to support it with some books for the time being. If you do decide to move with them, make sure they wrap everything & check minor details.

The reason I am giving them five now is because I just used a different local moving company to pack my apartment and load a truck I rented, and I was highly dissatisfied with the service. I won't name this business, but the work did not reflect the cost and I wouldn't recommend that business to anyone. Comparing it to my experience with Stear, I knew I had to sit down and write the review. In July of 2021 I hired two workers to pack my 1 bedroom apartment, load their own truck, unload the truck at my new apartment, AND they drove the truck over to the nearby Goodwill so I could drop off four pieces of large furniture that I was donating for no extra charge. It took a total of 6 hours (my new apartment was only a few streets from my old one), and cost $800 pre-tip. One of the guys definitely worked his ass off the entire time, but I saw the other guy on his phone many times and slowly packing items. My roommate said she saw him chilling downstairs over to the side, and when he saw her he pretended to be working. That was the reason I was going to knock them down a star. But again, comparing the amount of work they got done in the time they did, and at the price they did it, to that of the company I just used, I am locking in at five stars. On top of that, all items were wrapped well enough that nothing was broken in the move, nor was I worried about it. They also knew obvious things like "wrap glass in wrapping paper before packing" and "don't pack living plants in boxes". That is in stark contrast to my recent experience. Here's a breakdown so you can get an idea of the competition: Stear (2021): -hired to pack 1 bedroom apartment and move items to new apartment (0.3 miles away) -I had more items in this move -they drove to a second location so I could drop off some furniture to be donated -all boxes and wrapping materials included in rate -2 men -I hardly did any work -$800 total -6 hours total Company #2 (2022): -hired to pack 1 bedroom apartment and load truck I rented -I didn't have items to donate and I had less items in this move -my dad and I were helping by packing and organizing the entire time -charged per box, wrapping materials "included" but they didn't have wrapping paper for fragile items (they used mine from my last move) -3 men (plus my dad and me) -they only had to pack and load a truck, didn't have to drive it anywhere -$700 total (was going to give me a "discount" at $760, I was like no) -4 hours 50 minutes total
