    HORRIBLE. DO NOT HIRE THEM, I went out of my way to hire them because the owner used to be in my business networking group. He arrived at 7:45 AM with three young men who were very polite, but clearly had no experience. By the late afternoon, the truck still wasn't loaded. He called and said he was going to add an additional person because they were running behind. To my great surprise a 60 something-year-old woman knocked on my door. She was very kind but I was confused why she was there. She said that she knew the owner from church and she was here to help me move! He charged $50 an hour extra to have a mature woman from his church help me move. None of them had much experience if any and items were damaged. At midnight, my neighbors called the police (picture attached) as they were making too much noise. I text him and he said well you've been doing it for the last couple hours. Can't you just quietly keep going, I said you should have known as an owner of a moving company. He didn't care and then said, " do you want us to finish the move? You're already $3000 more than what we quoted.!" I put him on an email with my attorney. He completely ignored the attorneys email, didn't finish the move and then ran my credit card for $3000 more than the quote said. My attorney is now taking over this, but I'm sharing this as no one should hire these guys.

    We had to hired moving be a as we got closer to our move, our household was hit with COVID! The pictures are of my bathroom items that were just tossed in a box and not checked to see if they might leak or open up. And of course that is EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED. I am injured due to a worker's compensation accident so I am still unpacking. I had to be brought to Las Vegas because I had Covid for three weeks and the packers wouldn't come in with me there. I had no choice in this. They don't know how to pack professionally. I own a restoration company and can pack better than this!!! Also things got lost in our move as well and I am not done unpacking yet!

    Hired GXL this past July for a move from Cerritos to La Mirada. Frantwan and his staff were great to work with and very courteous and professional, both before in planning and on the day of the move. I want to preface this by stating that I took our bed frames apart the day before and my wife and I boxed our belongings ourselves to save time and thus $. This was my second move in two years (thanks for that pandemic!) so we knew how to optimize the move. I also moved my electronics myself (I prefer to do this for peace of mind). That out of the way, we had a three-bedroom house we had to move and the GXL staff showed up early, wrapped all necessary furniture, moved it all into the truck (including two couches, one of which was a rollaway bed) with our boxes and unloaded at new location. Took about 4.5 hours which is what I expected. What was great was that the lead on the crew worked with me to load furniture last so it all could be taken out first at the new location. I had odd circumstances in that our new house was in the process of being remodeled and unfortunately I had to have the furniture placed around the house on finished flooring (all boxes went in the garage). Key point here is the GXL staff took direction from me without complaint and got the move done efficiently. They are licensed and bonded with insurance also. Highly recommended.

    *** TLDR: Absolutely awful customer service from AJ, made MANY last minute changes to the move including changing from a 2man to 3man move the DAY of, were 4 hours behind, did not honor discount from Yelp, and tried to charge me for an hour of drive time even though that was never listed or brought up in our confirmation *** I want to preface this with the fact that the movers, themselves, were totally fine. However, my experience with GXL's moving supervisor/coordinator AJ was ABSOLUTELY AWFUL. I had initially requested a morning move--when confirming my appointment, the supervisor, AJ, asked if I could do Wednesday afternoon instead. I agreed because I wanted to be accommodating, as well. He initially told me around 3-3:30pm. I paid the $100 deposit to secure the move and was booked in for a 2 person move at $99/hr with a 3 hour minimum. The day of the move, I get a text from AJ stating that he's now going to be sending 3 guys and the rate will be $129/hr. As I had communicated with him, I didn't have a ton of stuff to take over to my new place--no beds, no couches, no table, etc.. Even with two people, this move would take 2 hours to complete because it was only 10 minutes from my current location and, again, not a ton to move. I'm slightly irritated at this point because this would have been better communicated to me prior to rather than the day of my move when I have no other options -- an extra $100 is not just spare change and, again, this move ended up taking a total of two hours. So, not only would I be paying for an extra hour of work, I would be paying $100 more than what I was initially told I'd be paying. Because I felt I had no other choice, I accepted this. I mentioned the Yelp discount and he said I'd get 10% off. At 3:38pm, AJ texts me saying that the movers were running behind and now the ETA Is 5-5:30pm but maybe sooner. At 5:28pm, AJ confirms the drivers are on their way but their ETA is now 7:17pm. Throughout this, there's been no acknowledgement of how this is kind of inconvenient in terms of my schedule. I understand wiggle room if a previous move goes late but this is literally 4 hours later than what I had been told. When the movers arrive, there are only TWO gentlemen and they proceed to take the majority of my items down. AJ finally arrives--no apology or acknowledgement of them running behind or anything--and then tries to take control of the situation when the two guys have already finished the move ON THEIR OWN. As we're about to head to the destination, I bring up that only two guys moved my things and even if they showed up now, I don't think I should pay for a third person. He shrugs it off and says, "Oh, yeah, I won't charge you for that." AJ then confirms that the price to be Venmo'd to me will be for three hours AND an hour of drive time. This was NEVER brought up in our confirmation nor was it listed in the emailed agreement. He insists that it was so I proceed to check my email and, what do you know, it's NOT stated. Again, no acknowledgement of this mistake or anything...he just says, "Oh, well it should have been there. But if it's not there, I guess we won't charge you for that." When they arrive, he sends me the Venmo payment for $230. Now, mind you, if there is tax...that should be $227. I'm not trying to nitpick but, honestly, at this point, I have such an awful taste in my mouth that it isn't about 3 dollars. AJ is just blatantly trying to squeeze as much money out of me as possible. *** I DID NOT RECEIVE THE 10% DISCOUNT THAT HE SAID I WOULD GET *** Overall, just a truly GARBAGE customer service experience. I work 2 jobs dealing with people from morning to night...I get that it can be annoying but, ya know what, appeasing the customer comes with the territory. At the VERY LEAST, you could have just said "Hey, sorry that this is taking a little longer than usual. We had a bigger move that's going later than expected." Make your customers feel like you actually value their business rather than looking at them like a walking money bag that you can just pull one over on and treating them like trash.

    They brought in this other guy for like an hour "to cover the other guys lunch break". This guy was even slower than the other 2.

    This company is a joke, from the owner to the 2 kids that he brought with him to do the move. Bunch of unprofessional movers. Do yourself a favor and hire a real moving company. You're better off having a family member help you or even some guys outside of Home Depot will do a much better job than these clowns. They have equipment with them that they have no idea how to use. 3 guys stood around my refrigerator for more than 30 minutes trying to figure out how to undo a simple water hose. 1 of the guys said he needed a "special tool" to undo the hose. I ended up taking the Alan wrench from his hand and simply unscrewed the water hose. -No special tool needed. Then it took them over an hour measuring the fridge then measuring the door to see if it would fit. Only to have to drop the fridge down again to ultimately remove the doors. Over an hour wasted on just the refrigerator! Next these guys said my moms bed was "glued together" and there fore couldn't be taken apart. I came and simple popped off the rails with out a single tool needed and undid my moms bed myself! Clearly they have 0 experience taking any furniture apart. First red flag for me was when he got there he tried to get me to pay for 8 hours of service upfront. I've moved before with out a moving company and it took me no more than 8 hours. I thought since I was hiring a "professional moving company" this move shouldn't have taken more than 6 hours. These guys were moving super slow. 8 hours later still they haven't finished loading the truck. I'm in disbelief at this point . I called the owner to complain and he agreed to stop the clock. I wasn't going to pay for more than 8 hours. Not only did the move take them a total of 16 hours- Yes 16 hours. (They finished unloading at my new house at around 2:00am) - but they also damaged my furniture. They dropped my dresser and broke it. Then the next day I hooked up my 65" tv only to find out they had broken it. My refrigerator also had a couple of dents. We had to file a claim for the damages and received a settlement check that was less than just my tv cost. Over all not worth the headache dealing with these guys .. DO Yourself a favor and Hire a real moving company.

    Unfortunately they did not complete the job. I booked them a week in advance and Was given an arrival window of 1-3p. but on the day of, they were really behind and was given a possible time of after 5pm they might show up. They did not communicate with me properly. At 1:30 was called to let me know they were behind and they would call me back in an hour to give me a better arrival time. Never got a call. I had to call them at 3:30 to get an update. Their prices are reasonable but I do not recommend them if you need to get things done within a certain amount of time. I would Have understood if I was a last minute add on but I specifically said I had pets and kids in school that day and needed to get moved while they were not home. An after 5pm time doesn't work if I can't be home because I have to pick up my kids and pets to bring them back.

    DO NOT USE!! AJ/GXL Moving Services ripped me off. I've had the same furniture for 20+ years and have paid moving companies for my moves. I've never paid more than $600. My last move 4 years ago was $495 and was a further move. This time around I left my couch for someone else to pick up, so they didn't even have to pack it. AJ charged me $2100 for this move!!! He didn't even get approval before he charged me! I thought it was sketchy that he wanted my credit card info sent in an email. I didn't want to do that so I called him and gave him the info. I've never had to do this before. He said he would charge $159 to my card up front but said he will deduct that from the payment. When I looked on my credit card statement after my move he had charged me $159 and instead of crediting that amount back, he charged it again! He also charged $1749 which I did NOT approve. I called and text him to talk about his and he did not answer back. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!

From the start, they took the time to walk through our home and clearly ask about everything we wanted to move so they could mentally map out how to load the truck efficiently. They were extremely diligent with protection, using blankets and/or shrink wrap on all furniture and electronics, and they were very by the book when it came to reviewing the contract and confirming details. I especially appreciated that they checked all electronics before and after the move and even had me climb into the truck at the end to verify that nothing had been left behind. The move‑in was just as smooth. We had labeled certain items to go to one level and others to another, and they followed those directions perfectly, with everything ending up exactly where it was supposed to, with no damage and no confusion. Their organization and care were obvious in every box/container they carried and every piece of furniture they placed. Moving is usually a very stressful experience, but Fito and the Pure Moving team made it feel manageable and even reassuring. I found them to be excellent in every way, and I would highly recommend both the company and this specific crew to anyone looking for reliable, thoughtful, and professional help on moving day.

From beginning to end, it was a pleasure to hire Alex and Robert as our movers. And they are so reasonably priced! My family and I were looking for movers to help disassemble a bed and move some items from my elderly fathers room into the garage. We were planning to make the room more functional and safe for my father so we needed to move/clear things from the bedroom to the garage and vice versa. I started with quotes on Yelp and Alex provided such a reasonable quote that I had to hire him! Alex was incredibly friendly, polite, and responsive during every correspondence. Alex and Robert arrived to the house ready to go. They were both strong, quick, and efficient. They had great communication skills and were so incredibly accommodating. They did such a fantastic job working with my chaotic Filipino family and receiving unsolicited feedback from random uncles/aunts and being spoken to in a foreign language by my grandma haha They were so incredibly patient and went above and beyond! They finished early and even helped us with tasks that were outside of their scope. Not only were they a pleasure to have as movers, but we truly enjoyed interacting, chitchatting, and joking around with them! Truly the BEST experience I've had hiring someone. I got this company as a referral from a friend & am hoping this bad experience was a one off. While the move didn't go smooth & I had to pay a task rabbit & a helper money to make up for the lost time I had on a tight deadline, I appreciate Anna doing her best to make up for the bad experience. After this attempt at customer retention, I'd consider this company again. I've updated this review from 1 to 3 stars. The moving experience still stands at 1 but the attempt at repair gets a 5 star effort so I averaged the two. DONT HIRE THESE IMMORAL MOVERS. Today I moved from a 1 bd apt to another 1 bd apt. Any other time I've moved with other companies it has taken 4 hrs with 1-2 movers. This time I request 3 movers bc I had a short window before traveling and I needed it done quickly. Apparently 3 is a crowd. This move took 7 hours. SEVEN HOURS. I watched two of the three unscrew one screw together and it took them 20 minutes on an item that didn't need to be disassembled. They took all the small boxes out of the apartment first and put them out front. Then they continued to do that for a while then they took a few to the elevator and left them around for a little and then eventually loaded them into the truck. Towards the end of the move they had all the large items ready to go into the truck last (unheard of) and two of them went up the elevator to get one roll of Saran Wrap while the third stood outside the truck. One was on his phone every time I looked at him. I asked if one person could wrap furniture while the other two moved items and he snapped at me and said I needed to sign a paper saying I wouldn't hold it against them if the items got damaged. He also said I would need to pay his parking tickets if he got one from being in a loading zone. It was very apparent they were trying to milk the clock. I was quoted 3-5 hours for two people to do a 1 bedroom move so I got a third to speed it up and somehow that made it take longer. On hour 5, and still being at the first location, I called the company because I was concerned with the inefficiency and someone said they'd look into it and call me back. No one called me back. I called again and same thing. I called a third time and told them the movers were now waiting to be paid and I wasn't paying for 7 hours because they were simply milking the clock. The person on the phone was trying to ask me leading questions to convince me it was done right and I stopped her and said you have no idea what I experienced today and the fact that you're trying to tell me shows me you're trying to scam me out of money. I will not be paying for 7 hours of work so what can you do to rectify this? I called HOURS ago reporting my concern and no one called back after saying they would. The person on the phone then told me they'd give me $200 off ($170 an hour was the rate) while the manager the mover spoke to said they'd charge me for 5 hours. Then the manager called back and said I accepted $200 off so they should increase my bill again. I told them no and that I'd be paying the 5 hours and then they asked for tips. I gave them tips. Then I noticed my wine rack was missing within 20 min of them leaving so I called and they told me where it was and it wasn't there so I called back and they blocked me. So I'm missing at least my wine rack and who knows what else because hardly anything is unpacked because this move took all day. Would never recommend this company and will never use them again. I first scheduled a move with dolly but they couldnt secure a truck so I went with a referral from a friend and it wasn't great. I had paid my housekeeper to be with me for 12 hours today to help me unpack and she spent the majority of the day waiting for these guys to move my stuff. I wasted so much time and money today. And now have one day to unpack everything before going out of town. These 3 movers created such a domino effect in such a negative way for me. This was also the most I've ever paid to move. I normally pay around $500 for 2 movers to move in less than 4 hours and this cost me $900 on movers and another $500 for a helper who stood around all day with nothing to unpack because the movers were so inefficient . * $400 on a task rabbit to assemble items the movers didnt*Also they said they'd arrive between 8am and 10am. They got there at 9:45am so the people I asked to help my by supervising the trucks just sat there waiting for two hours. 2 thumbs down
