Ava was helpful. She maintained great communication throughout the process. I did like that they have a 2 hour minimum; that's why I hired them. I did not have many items. However, I'm rating them a three because unlike most moving companies I encountered, they did not include wrapping. Normally when you have a mirror or any furniture with screws, they wrap your items or put your screws in a baggy. In this place, I was told that would be extra for each item wrapped and they did not put my screws in a bag. This was the first time I heard of something like this. They also told me to put some items in my car because they couldn't do it. For example, my computer items, such as my screens. That was very odd. The movers were just doing there job so I can't say they were doing anything wrong. I will say, my bed frame feels wobbly so something is off there. In my opinion, I should have just hired someone from Facebook if I would have know I wasn't going to get a full on professional mover experience. I paid 238 cash or so for 2 hours. I think the price was the most competitive but the service was not what I expected. read more

Moved to a new home with my wife and had the opportunity to work with John, Chato, and Mario. World-class professionals and very friendly. If you are stressed with your move as I was, do not look further as this team will have your back. We lived in a pretty difficult place to access and they were able to accomodate us without up-charging even after encountering some last-minute surprises. Incredibly reasonable rates as well. Amazing movers. I called several companies and although they were all pretty much similar in pricing, what got me was that they don't charge an additional heavy item fee!! Two people came on time and they were extremely detailed in everything as to not damage my furniture or the houses! They did not use any coverings or padding, but they really didn't need to as they were THAT meticulous. Their strength was also amazing as I do have heavy pieces of furniture. I've never worked with such professional movers and have had to use different companies each time. I will definitely recommend and come back. This company was suggested here on Yelp. I called them because I needed a small amount of furniture (2 pieces) moved from one location to another. The woman I spoke with on the phone was very polite and very helpful. She set up an appointment for me even though I wasn't sure if I would need them and told me it was easy to cancel but not easy to schedule last minute. So once I confirmed I would need their services I called her back to finalize. The gentlemen who showed up were on time, and friendly. They were extremely careful to not damage anything while they were getting the furniture out of the house. They were fast but thorough. They seemed a little surprised at how little I needed moved but still took care of everything professionally. My mom was very happy to get her favorite furniture moved into her apartment. I used this company to move into my apartment a year ago and have recommended them to many people. I was excited to use them again but did not care for my experience this time around. The woman who answers their phone is rude. I asked if I could have the same movers as last time as they were efficient and very good but she said they have 2 teams of movers so I will get whoever is available. And the 2 movers (John, who I think is the owner, and Cesar) who showed up to move my 1 bedroom and 1 living room worth of furniture out of my 550sq ft apartment took 6 hours! I had already moved a decent amount myself over the 2 weeks beforehand, all they had was the big stuff. The movers who moved me in only took 3h and 45m and had moved in more things than got moved out. At $119/hour, that was a big difference. Disappointing. read more

Hire This Company! I called Tuesday, spoke to Ava in the office. She was so friendly and down to earth I could feel that this was going to be a good experience. We set up an appointment for Saturday morning even tho it was supposed to rain. 3 guys showed up with a big truck bright, early, and on time. These 3 guys worked really hard and partially in the rain and never complained. We moved a 2 bedroom upstairs to a 2 bedroom downstairs and each man was so courteous and willing to move items anywhere they needed to be, even unloaded my car, removed an unwanted bathroom towel rack, took off a door off to place an armoire in the bathroom and were very careful with every item that was moved. John and his crew are great, we highly recommend Mathis moving, don't hesitate, they're really great. read more

Just want to give a shout out to this great company! I had reserved them to pick up some heavy furniture from a private seller. However, when the time came for them to head out to pick it up, the seller decided they couldn't wait one more hour and ghosted me! I called them to cancel (so they wouldn't have to drive all the way for nothing). They initially said, understandably, they would have to charge me for reserving the time (for one hour). However, today they called me and let me know that they would not be charging me. I'm very appreciative of this and since I'm still looking for furniture, will definitely use them in the future. Requested help with loading a pod container with furniture and boxes. They were very accommodating, coming the day after our request and worked in a very disorganized environment. That being said, any organization in place was destroyed by them. Nearly every item was taken apart, including the top of an upright piano??? Some of it seemed very unnecessary and some screws were either not easily found or not found at all. Quite a few items were damaged, including the loss of part of a dining room table base. The real chaos began when 2 additional movers were called to help, after finishing another job. These 2 movers were more concerned about getting done, than they were about the damage being done to the items being loaded or the items they weren't responsible for. The price was accurate for the time required for the job. As far as using them again, I won't have to make that decision since I moved out of state. read more

We were very impressed how they were able to park the truck and made it work at a tricky narrow street near the exit and the fact they got a very heavy sofa bed up the second floor. We are preparing to move again and have already booked our moving date with Roy Mathis - we were incredibly happy with the team who moved us in the middle of the pandemic on 7/2021. It was a VERY HOT day, and we were moving our things from storage in Chino Hills to a 6th floor apartment in Anaheim. The guys were on time, incredibly fast, efficient, careful with all of our belongings. Thier efficiency was incredibly impressive, thier attitude was stellar, and when we arrived to unload, we had to use a passenger elevator. The guys came up with clever and creative ways to move odd-shaped items and loose pieces without damaging a thing. I have to mention Eva as well - we had to switch up moving dates a few times, and Eva was incredibly sweet, accommodating, and never said no. They were so helpful and was considerate on how to put the boxes and things away at our new home. They put them away nicely on shelves in the garage and made sure there was space to walk around so I can easily go through the boxes. While they were packing, I mentioned how I was donating some of the items they were packing. When they unloaded at the new house, they made sure to put those donations items together and easily accessible. This type of customer service is amazing. This is an excellent moving company! I chose this company because of the great reviews, they are family owned and they have been in business for many years. From the beginning, Ava the scheduler was very accomodating. I had to change my scheduled move twice because the new house was not yet move in ready. At one point, the day I needed was booked but Ava went above and beyond and got us movers! The movers, Charro and Mario arrived early! When they were leaving the first house, the owner stopped by to drop off a third mover. He came over to ask me how everything was going, and helped the guys a little before he left, he was great! I had been living in the same home for almost 40 years. This was my first time moving and, as you can imagine I was very disorganized. Charro has over 15 years of moving experience with the same company and knew exactly what to do, he was very helpful and had great suggestions. Mario was very nice, both were great guys!
