There's a scarcity of good Asian bakeries in Seattle, so glad that Cakehouse exists to fulfill my nostalgia for baked Asian goods. The staff here is nice and accommodating - I only gave them maybe 2-3 day notice to make a birthday cake and they pulled through. The red lettering and taste is also very close to the cakes my parents would buy for our family's birthdays but better.

This is the Best baker of this delicious cakes in this Cake House bakery!

We just passed by this Cake House Bakery close to Honeycourt Restaurant. But when we passed again,we decided to go in and saw the cakes in the shelves. We decided to order one and then come back a week after to get the same cake and then again, then another one for New Year's party at work. And now,Jan.4th 2026,I'm on my way to their bakery again

Cake House is a classic Chinese bakery in the ID and I have been going here for years. They make a lot of standard Chinese fruit cakes, but my favorite is the napoleon cake with puff pastry in it (which I order annually for my birthday). The cake is only good day of before the puff pastry gets soggy, but it's the perfect balance of light cake, fruit, and flaky/slightly crunchy puff pastry! I've seen the cake sold by the slice on occasion, but always make sure to order ahead to ensure I get my cake for my birthday.

Treats were nothing special, I've had Korean pastries before, these were fine, price is decent $3.50 for a bun. Cash only. Hawaiian bread with sugar on top is a short way of describing these, some with cream. Flavor 3/5 Cleanliness 2/5 Service 2/5

Gei mei bao (coconut bun)

Small hole in the wall bakery for Cantonese style breads and pastries. Service is friendly, and prices are slightly high, but not too high. The breads all look and smell fresh, and the fruit tarts glisten. The gai mei bao (coconut bun) was delicious and tastes like the ones in Hong Kong. The hot dog bun was good as well. The tiger skin roll was a little too tough for me. Next time I'm definitely trying the chicken hand pies.

Where I'll usually stop for coconut buns when I'm in the area a friend at work loves them. I need to try one the savory pastries next time. They were out of the regular coconut buns so got the large to cut up for friends at work. And pick up an egg tart for myself. One of the nicest owners told me the bun was still warm. Cash only.... oh

mixed fresh fruit cake is delicious

Durian cake

Custom ordered a 8" durian cake from Cake House. The lady helping us was very nice and explained exactly how they would make it to set expectations. It's like a traditional Asian fruit cake, but they whip the mousse with frozen durian. The durian taste isn't very overpowering, but you definitely taste it. They were able to make it within a day.

Super delicious asian style bakery. The sweet cakes are not too sweet & savory breads are delicious!

cream cheese bun

Love this place! I stop by for a little sweet treat when I'm in the area every once in a while. I got a cream cheese bun this time and I loved it!! They heated it up for me and it was so much better warm good size and perfect amount of filling

I got a Hot Dog Roll and Small slice of Butter Cake. The Owner was not at the counter when I walked in. He was in the kitchen. His Chinese friend called him. He disappeared after I got my pastries. So customer service might be lacking but the Prices are so reasonable. He sells drip coffee too. There isn't much variety as 85 Deg. But 85 is often closed. They did not bother to open during this Snow storm. The icing is less sweet than Amer. Cakes. Costco Cake was the worst when I had to it for Company Bday parties. Cake House is boarded up, but open every day.

We ordered a marble loaf, croissants, chocolate hazelnut croissant (casse-noisette), brownie, kouign-amann and the fraisier. Oh. My. Heaven. This is the first bakery in a long time we have been craving days later. Everything. I mean EVERYTHING was delicious with the exception of the marble loaf. The loaf was extremely firm and had no flavor. My son who loves everything sweet only had two bites. The rest made up for it. My husband LOVES croissants and this is by far the best he has had in all of Washington. The casse-noisette was ridiculous. Often when you have stuffed croissants they either have barely any or way too much "stuffing". This was perfect. The perfect blend of chocolate and hazelnut. The crunch of the hazelnuts on top were a welcome contrast. Cannot wait to return. What a gem!

I ordered an extra bacon and cheese sandwich on a toasted English muffin, and it was excellent. The muffin was perfectly toasted, the bacon was crisp and flavorful, and the cheese complemented everything really well. It was simple, fresh, and very satisfying to start the morning. The bakery itself has a very pleasant atmosphere. It feels warm, welcoming, and comfortable, making it a great place to sit down and enjoy a quiet breakfast in the city. To finish, I tried a slice of triple coconut cream pie to go, and it was absolutely heavenly. Rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced, it easily stood out as one of the highlights of the visit and something I won't forget anytime soon. Overall, Dahlia Bakery delivered great food, a relaxing atmosphere, and an outstanding dessert. Since I was only in Seattle briefly for business, I'm not sure when I'll be back, but I'm glad I had the chance to experience it.

Came around 1-2pm on a weekend and they still had a full pastry case! I always love seeing that…read morelater in the day since some other cafes are getting empty around that time. They have so many yummy options, but I settled on a mushroom and Gruyère pastry and an earl grey blueberry cruffin. The mushroom and Gruyère pastry was SO good!!! Buttery flaky layers of dough with a strong earthy mushroom flavor and savory cheese - an absolute umami bomb. We ate it the day after and threw it in the air fryer for a couple of minutes, and it was so delicious. The cruffin was huge! Topped with a delicious light Earl grey cream that wasn't too sweet. It was filled with a blueberry cream and was definitely very filling. There's a lot of sugar coating it, as is standard with cruffins, but it's a nice sweet treat. Definitely coming back for the mushroom and Gruyère pastry and to try their other delicious flavors. Their supreme croissant flavor switches often and we can't wait to try the next one! I originally planned to just grab a coffee and a croissant, but after noticing how popular the mushroom Gruyere croissant seemed, I decided to give it a try and I'm so glad I did. While they serve Umbria coffee, which isn't my personal favorite, the food more than made up for it. The service was warm and friendly, and the overall vibe was welcoming. I'll definitely be back to try the mushroom croissant again or maybe explore some of their other pastries next time.

We stopped by Panterelli after the West Seattle Sunday Farmers Market, wandering in after hearing…read moreabout the best Choux pastries in Seattle. There weren't any other customers inside and we were greeted with an empty display case in the front. While barren, the owner, a gruff* French gentlemen, confirmed that he still had choux pastry left with a choice of either vanilla, coconut, pistachio, or hazelnut. We decided to go with the pistachio, which he assembled fresh for us, first by piping pistachio cream inside the choux shell, then dipping in melted chocolate and sprinkling pistachio on top. Pistachio Choux ($6) - The choux is excellent, baked until deliciously crisp on the exterior while the inside remains soft, eggy, and tender. Since it's fresh filled and we ate it right afterwards, the cream never migrated to saturate the crust - I suspect people with issues with mushiness probably let the cream puff sit too long before consuming. The cream, which is piped to the brim, pushes out against the delicate shell, causing each bite to almost squirt out a bit of the luscious, silky whipped custard. The cream coats the lips and mouth with a layer of fat. It's not too sweet and has a light nutty pistachio flavor. The melted chocolate the top is dipped into glues on all of the pistachio dip. The chocolate is slightly bitter, yet sweet, so it helps cut through some of the rich silkiness of the cream. The pistachios on top act like a crumble, perhaps pulverized and melded with butter to create a very rich yet pistachio forward mix. It's strongly flavored, and the chocolate creates such a strong cement that none of the nuts detach while eating. (5/5) Panterelli was a huge surprise as it wasn't even on our radar until we walked past the shop randomly while exploring the Farmers Market. It's a definite revisit in the future! *The owner isn't nearly as welcoming as a typical American small business owner, but is certainly friendly and eager to chat. I also love his attitude - looks aren't that important; it's the taste the reigns supreme!
