The food was great. I got the lemon berry pancakes. It was not too sweet, the cream was fresh and a great addition, the berries were very fresh and the pancakes were very fluffy. I love that the bacon is thick so it was cooked through and well, and you had something to chew (not bacon flavored air chips. if you know, you know). I LOVED the crispy brussels sprouts with bacon, the flavors were so interesting and balanced, and the brussels were good very well. My partner had the black bean and pulled chicken and omelet. He says the flavors were good, but he would have preferred them separately, it didn't go together as well as he thought. The servers were lovely and fast, and the decor was modern with a comfortable feel. I had scoped it out during my Easter '25 trip when I last visited my kid, but getting a table was impossible back then. This time my kid came thru and snagged us a res. The place itself is pretty basic- not in a bad way- kind of an industrial vibe. The hostess stand was straight-up chaotic. Anyhow. I ordered the Chocolate Kiss French toast topped with fresh raspberries and whipped cream, but the coated crumb French toast was different. Not bad, just not what I expected. I've been wanting to try their brunch for so long so we made a reservation in advance to ensure we got a spot within a reasonable time. The menu had a great selection of dishes to choose from. The beef was roasted to a tender yet firm texture, retaining its original meaty aroma; the bacon added a touch of fat and smokiness. The tomatoes and lettuce were perfectly proportioned, both refreshing and enhancing the flavor without overpowering the meat; the mayonnaise made the bread moist and soft. This was the fastest thing to disappear from the table, indicating it was a popular choice. Turkey Apple Boursin: The turkey wasn't dry, and the boursin cheese was soft and sweet. However, the turkey itself is lightly seasoned and doesn't need apple slices to balance its richness. Adding apple slices made the overall flavor too sweet, resulting in a slightly cloying taste. Lentil Soup: This familiar Indian curry flavor... the lentils were stewed until very soft, almost melting in your mouth. $34 steak and eggs. I ordered it rare. What I got was an old steak -- already cooked, then sliced up, the pieces reheated and arranged on the side of the plate like that was a presentation choice. Gray all the way through, no sear, no crust, bone dry. The most well-done steak of my life, and I didn't order it that way. If they'd just overcooked it, fine. Kitchens have bad nights. But this wasn't a cooking mistake -- it was a decision. Somebody looked at a leftover steak and decided a paying customer could have it. The part that actually got me was the manager, who stood there and told me that's how they cook their steak. That's not a thing. Nobody cooks steak that way, and he knows it. Don't insult me on top of charging me $34 -- own it, comp it, or re-fire it. Any of those would have kept me as a customer. Check your plate before you cut into it here. read more

This place came very highly rated, so I was so ecstatic to try it, as I'm such a lover of breakfast and brunch! When we arrived, they were very accommodating and helpful, which made our time there wonderful even from the start. The menu had such great options, and I found myself stuck between the kitchen table and the mango habanero chicken and waffles, and I ultimately went with the chicken and waffles, which I'm so glad I did. It was wonderfully prepared, and I think asking for the wings to be crispier was the hack because they were perfect and such a great size. Despite the waffles and pancakes having a bit of an overwhelming nutmeg taste, thankfully it wasn't too overpowering and equally as yummy. The only thing I hoped was better were the biscuits, as the flavors seemed basic and underwhelming, but glad I still was able to try. I visited with a friend for brunch on the first day of the opening of their new location in Kendall, and I'm glad we had a reservation! It was crowded, but we were able to be seated immediately. Their menu is extensive and we had a hard time choosing what to eat, but ultimately went with two extremes: the kitchen sink (2 meats, eggs, toast, potatoes) and the vegetable hash plate made vegan. The vegetable hash and potatoes tasted great and were very filling. My friend could barely finish half of her plate because of the large portion size and ended up taking a lot of the food home. She wasn't a fan of the pulled chicken, but otherwise liked everything else. I also tried the peach fizz mocktail ($6) but was disappointed when it just tasted like orange juice without any fizz. There were some minor mishaps that I think were part of the adjustment to the new location and how busy it was on a Saturday morning (a waiter brought a dish that we didn't order, our waiter forgot that we'd ordered a coffee, and it took a while to get our check at the end). Nothing serious though. Overall, we had a satisfying brunch here, and service was good considering how packed it was. They're open pretty late until 8pm too which is nice. read more

I was looking for a weekend brunch in Cambridge for my family. Once I saw the photos of Cafe Luna's food, I knew that I had to get here. They did not disappoint in any way. Great food, great service, great atmosphere and great price! The place was packed on a Saturday around 12pm and it was easy to see why. The restaurant has bar seating (diner style), traditional tables and tables at the side walk. The entire restaurant has an open air setting and the weather was perfect for dining al fresco. Upon arrival, the host said that it would be a 15 minute wait, but it was actually about 3-5 minutes. Our server Lili made the experience even better with her lively personality and menu suggestions. The menu is huge! A big plus were the Vegan/Vegetarian options. The avocado toast is actually not on the menu, but they make it and I'm glad that we asked for it because it was the star of brunch. We added smoked salmon and eggs to it. Some other highlights were the home fries, veggie hash and pancakes (all included in the Kitchen Sink). There is a jalapeño cheese sauce that is amazing! The price/value was a big highlight. It can be tough to find affordable food in metro tourist areas. $18 for the Kitchen Sink breakfast and you will absolutely be stuffed. Looking at other tables food and all of the menu choices, I would definitely return if I'm looking for breakfast in the Cambridge/Boston area and I highly recommend that you try it. read more

The Bellinis were amazing! The ginger peach one was the best. The service was what gave this place 3 stars. Aiden was our waiter and when I asked for small substitutions for my lemon ricotta pancakes, he said that asking would make the chef upset. That, in my opinion, was an unacceptable response. Additionally at 90 minutes the manager came and told us they needed the table and we had to go. While the food was great, the service was unideal and I'm also a tourist. Depending on your height and weight, I would ask for the normal sized/outside tables if they have room. We had a fantastic waitress! I can't remember her name () but she was a petite black woman with delicate facial features and black hair. She went above and beyond to make sure we had a good time and were happy with our meals. I ordered the mango and orange Bellini and lemon blueberry waffles. 10/10. The plating was pretty, but the taste was even better. I highly recommend the waffles . Came with family members to try this place out on Memorial Day, since we heard they were serving special dishes for the occasion. There was a bunch of people inside the restaurant because of the holiday, even when we arrived later at 1:45pm. The service was slow and took a while to get our food served, but that was understandable given the busy day. Food was alright. The lemon ricotta pancakes were soft and fluffy, with tons of fruit and cream. The eggs benedict with ham was also pretty good. I'd say that these two dishes were the best in our experience. The Mexican corn omelette was okay. I do kind of wish there was more food besides the corn, cheese and onion inside it though, but it wasn't that bad, just fine. The spinach, onion and feta cheese omelette wasn't so great unfortunately, and left a lot to be desired. There was a huge amount of feta cheese, and not so much of the spinach and onion inside. The omelette was also really salty for some reason. The side of salad that was ordered alongside the omelette didn't have much flavor or dressing to it either. The lattes were great, the pancakes fantastic, and the honey biscuits were THE BEST BISCUITS I have EVER HAD. I am from the South, so that's saying a lot (I love my biscuits!!) They were almost caramelized in a way, I don't know how to describe it, but get them. Absolutely amazing! The ambiance was cute, we sat on a high top and it had plenty of room to move around, and was comfy. My friend had the banana french toast and it was SO GOOD! I recommend that dish as well.
