Caffe Promenade at 10:00 am
Bruce K.

The were open early and that's always a plus. I was here for about three hours starting from just after 6:00 and using Caffe Promenade as my first "office" of the day. A great coffee and a delicious donut as I powered away at the keyboard. The place is comfortable, a little eclectic and quite busy with people coming and going to get their coffee in the morning. The drive through was busy the entire time I was here! [Review 736 of 2024 - 496 in Texas - 21767 overall]

YUMMMMM... It was so yummy we got the JUMBO sausage rolls and vanilla latte and coffee milk tea with tapioca! Great service, AMAZING atmosphere with jazz and art and all. Nice.

An ideal place to relax or work, with exceptional staff, delicious food and drinks, and Erin at the front counter who's especially kind and welcoming.

Sweet gal at the counter. Delicious donuts and pastries. We tried several different types and they were all fantastic. We got lattes, too, and they were top notch. Highly recommend.

In Dallas for the weekend for my daughter to work with her Hitting Coach in the morning while she was working out, I needed a coffee. This place was so good!! Drip coffee was super tasty and had great flavor and was very robust. I got three pastries and they were all amazing. Mochi donut was for her. She loves them. The cream filled Cronut was delicious, and light and flaky and the cream had just the right amount of sweetness. I had my first cruffle and thins Korean waffle had it going on!!! The two ladies that took care of me were extremely courteous and very hard-working. I love the vibe of the coffee shop and I would definitely hang out there if I had had more time. You should definitely try this place!!

Delicious, freshly made BBQ Beef Sandwich!

My favorite cafe in all of Dallas! The owner is super sweet and she makes ALL of the pastry items and food from scratch...and you can taste the difference! Plus the oak tables and office chairs make this basically a free co-working space :)

I came here last week during the absolute coldest day during the freeze and OMG! It is exactly what I needed! It was SOO cozy and I felt super into the comfy winter mood. The hot chocolate was so warm and yummy and the vibes of the place were just so relaxed. I love how aesthetic it looks inside. I wanted to take so many pictures! The blueberry croffle was also absolutely delicious. I wish they were bigger for their price, but I loved it nonetheless. The service was awesome, too! I haven't been here in years and the menu has changed a lot. The person at the register was very helpful and answered all the questions I had on the menu. I appreciated them being kind and patient with me while I decided on what to grab! Will definitely come again :)

Black sesame Mochi donut!

Nice quiet spot to work on your laptop and have a caffeinated beverage! We were there in the afternoon and though they had some selection of mochi donuts what we wanted to try was the croffle but apparently there were none available.

Original large croffle, original mochi donut

This is a nice study spot. They had a large table with outlets. Didn't try any of their drinks. The croffle was amazing and the mochi donut was really yummy too. We would say that the price was fair. The mochi donut sold from here was a real nice balance btwn a mochi and a donut--slightly leaning more towards a donut cause of it's fluffiness. The mochi donuts from other places are a bit firmer being closer to a mochi consistency.

Strawberry and cream cheese croffle, strawberry mochi donut, dalgona latte

This place was awesome. Got a croffle, mochi donut, croissant breakfast sandwich, and dalgona latte. The staff was friendly and attentive, even spoke with the owner while there. The space inside is open so you do not feel cramped. Keep in mind it's a little mom and pop place and they will sell out of stuff for the day. Will definitely be back.

This place is a great place to get coffee and hang out. By the way, the coffee is delicious and the lady serving it is humble and kind.

I always get a little envious of how every suburb of Dallas seems to have such a cool town square,…read moreand Plano is no different. Located among the shops and bars of historic downtown sits 1418 Coffee, a cute and genuinely great little shop that fits the area perfectly. Inside, the shop is fairly narrow but offers a good amount of both indoor and outdoor seating. I arrived with a friend a little before 11 am on a Sunday, and it was absolutely packed. A biking group was posted up outside, students were inside working on homework, even though most colleges have not started yet, and plenty of other patrons were taking their Sunday mornings easy. Despite having at least 10 to 15 people in front of us, the line moved pretty quickly. My friend who was more of a regular at the shop knew a lot of the staff and had convos with them. It feels like a little community! I ordered the Maple Sausage Croissant sourced from Sugar Loaf Bakery along with a hot Purple Haze latte made with lavender and vanilla syrup. My drink came out fairly quickly, and I thought it was great. It was well balanced and not overly sweet. As for the Maple Sausage Croissant, it was exactly what it sounded like, a maple sausage tucked into a croissant. I initially expected the croissant itself to be maple flavored, similar to a McGriddle, but it was still fresh and enjoyable. They had been keeping them warm in a heater throughout the morning, which definitely helped. I have stopped by 1418 Coffee a few times when visiting Dallas, and I plan to keep returning. They consistently do a great job and fit right into the charm of downtown Plano. RIYL: A warm haven in a beautiful downtown.

Hands down love 1418 Coffee even after only three visits! I'm working in Plano this month and…read moreneeded to find a good caffeine stop after my long commute from Fort Worth. The baristas are all super friendly and were happy to answer all my questions. It's also super cozy with dim lighting, and the music isn't super overpowering or loud. There's mostly comfy couches but also a few tables and high top seating. Just a little chilly, so I'd recommend bringing a jacket. I was able to comfortably complete some work on my laptop, with working wifi. There were also people here socializing in the morning. They no longer serve breakfast tacos, so I opted for a bacon cheddar scone at one visit and a lemon blueberry scone on another. They were both delicious! The baristas told me that their chai leans toward the sweeter side versus the spicier side, so I opted for an iced sugar-free vanilla latte, which was not overly sweet. I also tried the beez neez (latte with honey and cinammon) another time and enjoyed it! They offer 2% milk, which I don't always find at coffee shops. Since it's in downtown Plano, there's street parking, which wasn't difficult for me since I came at 8 AM. I believe there are parking garages located nearby. Overall, I've greatly enjoyed 1418 Coffee and will most definitely be visiting more throughout this month while I'm working in the area!
