    Two egg toast

A conveniently located on Congress. I've had breakfast here with friends and got coffee n pastries with friends waiting to catch the Amtrak train. They open at 7am six days a week. Today it was pretty empty being Monday and they were baking banana bread with chocolate chips; smelled amazing! Our barista got our drink out fast. Seating at ground level and in their loft. Ambiance is okay, wood tables n seats. It's a cute spot. WiFi and restrooms available

Great service! Great coffee! We tried the iced Mocha Azteca and iced dark chocolate mocha--both delicious! I tried their pumpkin muffin--sinful! Huge and easy to split with someone. Egg sandwich was yummy as well! Definitely work stopping to start your day here!

Service was excellent this morning and the service seems to be in a wonderful mood! Always a great spot. The Dubai White Mocha was okay but nothing special. Nonetheless it's always fun trying something new.

The pictures of Caffe Luce sold me- mid century/industrial loft, iron floors, wired staircase, wood beams- it's design is no doubt modern. I was excited to learn they roast their own beans. I was planning to stay a couple hours and work, so I asked about drip refills? Unfortunately not, but a 25 cent discount is given.. I ordered a cafe aulait. It was too milky for my liking. Perhaps the milk/creaminess overpowered the coffee, but to be honest, it did not hit the spot. Roasting occurs at their other location- I'd probably hit up that spot and try something else if I come back again.

This was a great hangover cure after a good night in Tucson. Came in to a friendly staff who really seemed to enjoy their job. I simply got a latte but it was great. The big plus here was the loft, which really is pretty awesome. We sat upstairs in the loft and found it to be a private but inviting location. If I lived close this would be a great place to work remote.

Perfect Steel cut oats with fresh fruit.

Stopped in on a Friday morning for a little bite. The steel cut oats with fresh fruit was perfectly cooked and the fruit was very fresh. I decided to try their Italian soda and I was not disappointed, the flavors were perfectly balanced. The place overall is very chill and welcoming and has great little spots to either relax and just enjoy the street traffic as it passes by or do even some work.

It's been a moment since the last time I was here (2019) and I am glad that I came back. The four of us ordered various versions of the peppermint patti and all of them were very good. The staff were very friendly and funny. I like the Wurlitzer in the corner and had fun explaining to my son how they work. See if you can find the typo in my fourth picture ;)

Cute coffee shop on the corner of Fifth and Congress. Lots of tea and coffee options as well as some pastries. Ambiance is urban-industrial with seating options both upstairs and downstairs. I tried the iced Aztec mocha latte and it was perfectly sweetened with some delicious spices added. Friendly baristas but be prepared for a little wait as they appear to get pretty busy.

Dave sandwich and iced Azteca mocha

Loved, loved, loved my experience here! Stopped by in the morning after a train ride and the Dave Sandwich hit the spot! Was thankful they put the Tapatio on the side since I don't tolerate spice well. The Azteca Mocha was delicious -- not too sweet, subtly cinnamony. Thr employees were just so kind -- felt so welcomed after my long trip. I honestly wish I had spent more time enjoying this space!

This spot is one of my favorite coffee shops in Tucson. I have come here for all kinds of reasons- somewhere quiet to work, a first date, and a place to hang with friends. It has a great atmosphere with lots of seating options. The coffee is consistently delicious with lots of flavor options. Their good quite good too, the grilled PB&J is my favorite. The staff are SOOOOO friendly and do their best to help you have a good experience. I highly recommend this place to folks coming in town for the weekend or locals.

Located at the corner of Congress/Fifth Ave which places it across from The Hub and Club Congress. Great, industrial ambiance, with a high-ceilinged main floor and a cozy upstairs resulting in nifty, multiple separated seating areas. Convenient location if working or visiting downtown (but pretty much no street parking if solely coming for coffee here). Drinks encompass all that you might expect from a cafe and come in three typical sizes (12, 16, and 20 oz) and are priced similarly to other coffeehouses. Barrista didn't mention any kind of loyalty/rewards program and we couldn't find any mention on website either, so that might discourage some.

Love this place! Service was quick and super friendly - the almond-milk chai is perfectly delicious and spicy! There are tons of place to sit on each level and decor is comfortably industrial. Will for sure be back again :)

These Pastries Should Probably Be Illegal…read more Prep & Pastry has been serving Tucson since 2014, and after eating here, I completely understand why they've built such a loyal following. This review is only about the pastries because the rest of their menu deserves an entirely separate review. The first thing I noticed was how incredibly light and airy everything was. Every bite felt fresh, fluffy, and perfectly balanced. The frosting wasn't overly sweet, and nothing tasted heavy or overwhelming. As I've gotten older, I've become much more conscious about what I eat. Surprisingly, these pastries never leave me with that "I shouldn't have done that" feeling. They're indulgent without being excessive. Now let's address the real issue... I always buy two. Not because I'm planning ahead. Because I know exactly what's going to happen if I don't. I'll eat one in the parking lot, sit there for a minute pretending I'm satisfied, then make what is almost certainly an illegal U-turn and head back inside for another. At this point, I believe the owners should stand trial in a savory Food Court of Law. Dun... Dun... "In the Criminal Food Justice System, pastry-based crimes are considered especially delicious. In Tucson, the dedicated foodies who investigate these sugary felonies are members of an elite squad known as the Special Pastry Unit. These are their stories." Prep & Pastry is guilty of making "I'll just have one" the biggest lie you'll tell yourself all week. Whether you're stopping by for breakfast, brunch, or simply because life is better with a great pastry, this place delivers. WIT Inspection Score: -- Truly Among the Best.

The line was really long, so we used the iPad they provide to place our order. We selected a matcha, but the iPad never gave us the option to choose between hot or iced. We assumed it would come iced, which is our mistake for assuming. When our order came out, the matcha was hot. We went inside and politely asked if there is any chance we could get it iced instead since there was no option on the iPad. The owner herself took the drink and remade it, which we appreciated, but her attitude toward us after was unnecessary. She told us that next time we should order directly with them because we just "wasted their cups" and so on. We apologized again and explained that we would have selected iced if the iPad had actually given us that option, but she didn't really acknowledge what we were saying. What made the experience more disappointing is that I work in coffee myself, so I understand what it's like when things get busy. I chose Barista Del Barrio out of all the coffee shops in the area specifically because I'm Latino and wanted to support a Latino-owned business. I even tipped when I placed the order on the iPad, so I was disappointed with how we were treated over something as simple as an ordering-system issue.
