Cafe con Leche is located in the American Eat Co. food hall. The location opened promptly 8 am. An employee of Cafe con Leche greeted my co-workers and I with positive vibes. I immediately ordered a 16 oz Cafe con Leche, however the location was out of their house coffee. I was disappointed to say the least, but I was given multiple recommendations for other menu items to try. I ended up trying the Cubano Latte, which was flavorsome. It's definitely worth trying. The ambience of the location is chill. I love the colors and the display of the business. I absolutely plan to visit this location again the next time that I am in Tucson. I have to try the Cafe con Leche; it's a thing for me.

Chè is a traditional category of Vietnamese desserts that can range from sweet soups to puddings, and it often combines various beans, jellies, and fruits with coconut milk and shaved ice, traditionally. This particular one here consists of coconut milk, pandan agar jelly, red beans, and water chestnut coated in tapioca. The hubby ordered the grass jelly and coconut milk dessert. The grass jelly has a mild herbal depth and it is balanced beautifully by the smooth, lightly sweet coconut milk. I chatted with the owner Seth who is passionate about his beans. I enjoyed the taste even without cream. I asked for him to grind the Guatemala coffee that I bought for a friend. He gladly complied. He removed a few bad beans as he poured the bag of beans into the grinder and grabbed another handful of beans to replace the beans he took out. I hope to sample more of his coffee.

Since we are unfailingly friendly customers, as so many servers are, & because there were only 6 other customers at your coffee shop at the time, sharing our experience is warranted. We visited the Main Gate shop just after noon on Saturday, 4/18. The barista was wearing a cap & O'Neill-branded t-shirt; he has a salt & pepper beard. Requesting my cappuccino in a ceramic cup, he stated, with obvious exasperation, "You can just say 'for here'." He was also visibly irritated when we requested 3 Dirty Chais of various sizes & shot strength, as if this request was overly complicated. We would have ordered food, but he was so unwelcoming we did not. Nor did we linger. We have visited this location other times and have only been treated warmly. Clearly this barista does not represent the customer service your employees normally provide. You can train people to make a good coffee. Training them to be pleasant is more complicated & best documented. Hence, this review. An unpleasant experience like this has no place in Tucson. It's not who we are & it's not who you are either, I know. We hope this gentleman finds another line of work soon
