The wife had the Sweater Weather really nice! Now for the food: Caviaor & 1000 layer potato, best clam chowder in the bay, seafood linguine and ceaser salad w/chicken. All delicious and delectable! The restaurant itself is beautiful, and our server was kind and friendly, but the service felt disorganized. We specifically asked to have the oysters first, followed by the 1000 Layer Crispy Potatoes with caviar, and then our entrees. Instead, the potatoes arrived almost immediately. When our server saw them, she asked if the oysters had already been brought out. They hadn't, and after she went to check on them, we had a very long wait before they finally arrived. The wait between the oysters and our entrees was even longer. We were told the kitchen was running slowly because there was a wedding upstairs, which we understood. The atmosphere also felt mismatched. For such a beautiful, upscale waterfront restaurant, the fairly loud hip-hop/rap music just didn't fit the setting or the dining experience we were expecting. The food was the biggest disappointment. The oysters were excellent and easily the highlight of the meal, and the presentation throughout was beautiful. Unfortunately, the flavors didn't live up to how good the dishes looked. Nearly everything else was overly salty. My steak frites was so heavily salted that it overwhelmed the dish, and my wife had the same issue with her petrale sole. Meanwhile, other elements, including the potatoes, were surprisingly bland. We were also disappointed to discover that the lobster pot pie, a signature dish I had specifically been looking forward to and one of the reasons I booked the restaurant, was no longer on the menu. We learned that The Bungalow Kitchen is under new management and the menu had changed. I had been saving The Bungalow Kitchen for a special occasion. I never dined here under the previous Michael Mina management, so I can't fairly compare the two experiences, but this wasn't the dining experience I had envisioned when I chose it for our anniversary. It's a gorgeous space in a beautiful location, and the staff were pleasant. But at these prices, we expected the food, service and overall experience to live up to the setting. Unfortunately, ours fell well short of those expectations. Since dining here also requires a significant drive for us, the experience wasn't good enough to justify making the trip again to give it a second chance.

I have loved Malibu Farm in Tiburon since the beginning; I was there the first week they opened,…read moreI've been back many times since, and I've genuinely rooted for this restaurant. I even named my Cavalier King Charles Malibu;) so that should tell you something. I'm usually there with a medium to large group of friends or family, but today it was just two of us and my dog. We arrived about 20 minutes early for our reservation at 5:00pm for which we had specifically 'requested' outdoor seating. There were plenty of empty tables outside, presumably because so many people were still at the wine and cheese festival nearby. We were seated inside, and when I asked about several empty two-tops outside in the shade, I was told they couldn't accommodate us and that they "don't reserve or hold outdoor tables." Fair enough except I could see three empty tables for two being "held" outside. When I pointed that out, the explanation suddenly changed: those tables were apparently being held for people who had been waiting at the bar "for hours." We went Nextdoor even though we were risking our movie time ...and 45 minutes later 2 of those tables were still sitting empty. What bothered me wasn't simply not getting an outdoor table. I've owned multiple service businesses myself, and I completely understand that restaurants have seating systems, reservations, staffing issues, and circumstances customers may not see. What turned me off was being given one explanation, then a contradictory explanation when I questioned it, followed by an attitude that was unnecessarily rude and completely dismissive and disrespectful. If there was a legitimate reason those tables couldn't be used, just tell me. I can handle an honest answer. What I have a much harder time with is being told something that clearly doesn't add up and then being treated rudely for noticing it. So awkward. Being in Tiburon and having a beautiful location doesn't excuse treating customers this way. Servino's would never have acted this way in 1000 years and theirs food is so much better!

We found other restaurants nearby with better, and bigger portions. For dinner I had the chicken parmigiana and my wife had the crab cake appetizer and the harvest salad. The chicken parmigiana was good, and a hearty portion. The crab cakes were a bit small with a decent amount of crab, but unfortunately no lump crab meat. The salad was way overdressed, but still enjoyable. I also added a side of shrimp. They were a tad overcooked, and I probably wouldn't get them again. The drinks were nice pours and enjoyable. No complaints there. The service was good, and we wouldn't hesitate to eat here again. Happy hour every from 3-6pm.

It was buffet style and it was actually really good - they did a great job with the prime rib! Also had the caesar salad, mashed potatoes, chicken with mushrooms... all were very delicious. Dinner included the avocado toast with Dungeness crab, tomato bisque, and spaghetti with shrimp. I thought the spaghetti with shrimp would be heavy, but to my pleasant surprise it wasn't. My only complaint was too much sauce. My wife enjoyed the other two meals and suggested the avocado toast with crab would've been a little better with a squeeze of lemon. We both agreed we'd eat here again, and we wouldn't hesitate a bit to order the same meals.

My sister was cold and really didn't want to have to sit outdoors so we almost opted for to go food, but ultimately chose to dine anyways, and I'm so glad we did. I'll start by saying EVERYTHING was incredible. From the food down to the service we received. All of the staff we interacted with during our time there were very kind and attentive. For starters, when we arrived, I told our waitress we had a dog and she directed us to a table on their "indoor patio ", so we we're basically sat indoors, which was really nice. We weren't cold at all, and had we been, it looked like they had overhead heaters! We ordered their bread service, the warm trout dip, truffle fries, steak & frites, the burger, mussels/clams, the chocolate tart and creme brûlée. It was all delicious. While eating our appetizers, our poor pup got sick and threw up under the table :( we tried to discreetly clean it and felt really embarrassed. Entrées came out a few minutes later, and while eating our entrées, it happened a second time. At that point, we were ready to ask for the food to go, because we were feeling so thoroughly embarrassed. As I started cleaning the vomit a second time, our kind waitress came over and told me she would take care of it. I apologized repeatedly, and we felt sooo bad. She was so kind, and gracious towards us, telling us it was okay. I never got her name, but I wanted to let her know just how much we really appreciated her assistance and for not making us feel worse about what had happened. The way she handled the situation, was the epitome of dog friendly service. I'm not sure why our pup was so sick at the restaurant. My guess is he may have swallowed some water while playing at the beach. I just really wanted to express my gratitude for you all allowing us to enjoy a nice meal and continuously treating us kindly and respectfully after our poor boy got sick in your restaurant. Thank you again! If you're looking for a restaurant with delicious food, great ambiance and even better service, THIS IS IT

We were seated outside where it was windy but there was a heater above the seat thank goodness. The prices on their posted menu have not been updated, and food prices have gone up since. Fries - came with three sauces, the dijonnaise was ok but the bearnaise was just ok. The portion was really tiny for $7, which was a little unexpected. The fries tasted like they had been fried again before serving. Not sure I'd order this off the happy hour menu again Mussels with Pernod garlic butter - this was good! We ordered two servings. The bread was alright, it's a little disappointing since SF has such good bread everywhere. The mussels were fresh and the delicious sauce was not too buttery. The drinks were ok - they can do any cocktail with their well alcohol for $8 which is a good deal. Service was all over the place. The server was very nice but everything was extremely slow. When we arrived they weren't busy at all so it was very puzzling why everything took so long. They also forgot an order of the french dip sliders we placed when we ordered another round of mussels. When they started to get busy for dinner, we gave up and just walked in to ask for our check. I think it was a pretty good deal overall, but with the ups and downs with service, I may not go back.
