They make the BEST Dirty Chai's! Not sweet but Spicy is how I like it, and they really taste better that way. No time for breakfast? OVERNIGHT OATS!!! OMG LOVE them so much! And the team is so amazing, sweet, fun, and just always kind. xo read more

Unassuming on the outside, West Marin chic cafe on the inside. Great coffee and pastries, friendly service and, best of all, a creekside back patio with small tables and a few individual chairs facing the creek. This is the perfect spot to stop for coffee on the way to or from Point Reyes. read more

OK this is an update. I'm a local, and I've lived in Forest Knolls for 13 years since 2010 and recently moved back to West Fairfax but I still have been coming here. I still love coming here for the outside patio with the umbrellas and nice plants and view of the creek, but I'm sorry to say my review of June 30, 2022 still stands. Everything is good about this place, but 2 things: I think everyone acts like they either hate working here (or maybe they just dislike me?); and 2) I'm a coffee drinker, but I don't buy coffee or espresso drinks , and for the last month or so the coffee has been either tepid or cold when I usually go there between 2-4pm. I just told the assistant manager about it yesterday, but she didn't seem all that interested and tried to change the subject. Maybe they, an espresso bar, think serving regular coffee is low priority? Why should we pay full price for tepid coffee? I have been coming here ever since Pump Espresso opened in the Farmstand location: I come here several times weekly, I buy food and drinks and even merchandise sometimes, so why do I get treated so rudely like I don't matter? I think long-term, local customers should be treated better. I think I'm done with this place. Good-bye PUmp Espresso. I have tried but maybe we've just grown tired of each other. read more

Super nice staff, great baked scones and muffins. There is a comfortable outdoor sitting area. I go there every day. And the coffee/espresso drinks are excellent. read more

As someone who loves her SoCal lattes, I'm very surprised about the quality and similarity here at Pump Espresso Bar. I wasn't impressed with the coffee shops around Point Reyes despite their online reviews, but I thought this coffee shop in particular totally lives up to their reviews. My partner and I had gone to a previous coffee shop and decided to stop here 20 minutes down the road to find some kind of coffee redemption in town. My partner and I got the cardamom latte with oat (customer favorite) and vanilla latte (barista favorite) with whole milk. Both were great, silky smooth. FYI if you get iced lattes, they only come in large size (which I'm not complaining at all, given how good they are!). The inside had a couple of knick knacks they were selling (washi tape, chocolates, milk, poster cards, etc.) and there were about four small tables with pairs of chairs to sit and chat. Parking lot is a bit on the smaller side, but makes sense given the small town. There were about 5-6 parking spots right in front. Overall, if I'd ever come back to the area, I'm definitely making a stop here. Thank you for the amazing service, giving us the rundown of all the in-house, personally made syrups. Would definitely love to try out other syrups upon my next visit. read more

A wonderful spot with extremely pleasant service, great coffee, and a lovely atmosphere.

I love the Pump Espresso Bar. Love it. In fact, if I was lucky enough to work from home, I would work from the Pump. The inside is super cute, and it is oddly calming as soon as you walk in. This is saying a lot as I am one of the most high strung, overly driven humans and calm is not in my vocabulary. Lots of great coffee options, and they are all so good! The barista that helped us last time was fantastic and I want to give her all the kudos. She let me taste test their pumpkin syrup and she mentioned that they make it in house. I ended up going with the cardamom latte which seems to be the only drink I get at the Pump Espresso Bar. I keep telling myself to branch out and try a different beverage. Lots of food options that look delicious. The Pump Espresso Bar is always busy and it is such a welcoming local business that I am more than happy to give my business to. read more

With their amazing coffee and a good variety of quality house made syrups, you can't go wrong. The perfect stop for cute souvenirs when coming back home from a camping trip in Samuel P Taylor. read more

The Pump Express Bar is located in Forest Knolls and is in the shadows of our local redwood trees. It still has a 60's vibe. The Pump not only serves expresso it also serves baked goods. Their food and beverages are delicious and wholesome. Service is relaxed and friendly. AND if you want to pick up a beautiful Hawaiian shirt, or some local art, they have that too! read more

Incredible coffee. We got a cold brew and a chai. Both perfection. House made chai perfect sweetness.

What a beautiful café beside the creek! Planned a hike nearby to end here at Pump and it's such a lovely spot. Plenty of parking outside, a sort of spacious gift shop vibe inside, and behind is San Geronimo Creek burbling away with no intrusive music spoiling the quiet. Really peaceful and they make great coffee. Friendly too. There's a menu of sandwichy things but I plumped for one of their homemade chocolate cookies which was delicious (and cheap!). Great wifi in an area with spotty phone signal. Will be back! read more

A very sweet place. I wasn't expecting it to have such wonderful baked goods, delicious cannellini bean/collard greens soup, fun staff, nice place to work, patio in the sun AND the creek! Wow, all in ONE PLACE? Wish I was out there more often. Almond croissant was delicious - not too sweet and a mini size which is good for me. Half off day old pastries are a bargain. Toma cheese and ham scone was rich and buttery. No pics, but next time I will. Fun gifts too! read more

Stopped in on a rainy Saturday and was pleasantly surprised by this cute, homey, welcoming coffee shop. They have tons of local and small business owners knick knacks. A lot of their coffee syrups are made in house and organic. I got an iced cardamom oat latte and it was really good. I was skeptical because it's always a risk to stray from my usual vanilla oat latte but this did not disappoint. The two staff members we interacted with were great, and a brief interaction I had with another customer who also got the cardomom syrup was pleasant. Will come back if I'm in the area again. read more

Pump has become my go to cafe to get an iced coffee and sit out on the back patio. Good coffee, and great ambience.

This is one of the rare places that should get 6 stars!!! Very good coffee. Wonderful coffee drinks made with great care. Awesome breakfast sandwiches. Incredible baked goods - scones, brownies, etc. We have been there quite a few times by now and keep coming back for food, service, and super-cool ambiance!!! ... and really the tastiest scones I ever had! read more

I stopped at Pump for a quick coffee on the day I visited Samuel P Taylor State Park, just a few minutes away. It's an adorable shop that has an exciting menu whether your just looking for coffee or you also want a snack. It was a hot day so I ordered a cold brew, to which they added some out their cardamom syrup. YUM!! There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and definitely check out the gift shop which has some fun items. Friendly customer service, great ambience, and excellent coffee -- that's an easy 5-stars from me! read more

Pump is a very special little cafe next to a very serene creek. We stopped here on a roadtrip from a reccomendation, and dont regret it. The coffee is great, the quiche and tomato focaccia bread were immaculate. The owners were really nice and helped us wipe down a table outside so we could enjoy the view. Pump Espresso Bar - Cafes Near Me - Forest Knolls, California

It's a rare thing for me to find a place that not only makes good espresso, also has at least 1 vegan snack option AND makes a delicious chai - Pump has all 3! I was very impressed with their chai, it's not the cheap sweet kind, it's real chai with strong flavors and perfect with oat milk. As a bonus their kid's hot chocolate was the perfect temp and not too sweet for my little ones! read more

This place is great! Fantastic coffee, friendly people, and in a beautiful area. Important note, they just opened a new location across this the street in a brand new, modern building. read more

Amazing drip coffee and the best service! And such a cute little coffee shop! I cant wait to come back next time I visit this area!

On the way to point Reyes we plan our drive with enough time to stop for cappuccinos and a long look at the pastries. Plus maybe a bar of fancy local small batch soap displayed in the adjacent shop that we hadn't realized was essential while sitting in the backyard looking at the trees thinking about our lucky lives. read more

Went to the pump espresso bar for the first time today and I was truly pleasantly surprised on how great this place is. The coffee, baked goods, shop, location and the back patio amongst the trees and by a creek is truly stellar. Also they have the best coffee cake ever and it's gluten-free!! The staff was quite pleasant... I highly recommend it.. read more

Small local place to get a good coffee and maybe some kind of pastry. Price is not too steep

I'm really passionate about this place! Friendliest Service ever and possibly the best mocha (with melted chocolate) on the planet. It's very much a local hangout spot that also sells unique antiques and handmade items. Don't forget an amazing muffin or lemonade. Love this place! read more

I've tried to have patience with this place, I really have. But every time I've come the latte's have been really bad, the barista seems rushed and it's overpriced for the low quality tasting finished product. Have more than one barista working & make sure they're properly trained! The only thing I like about this place is the ambiance and the friendliness of the service - but the product doesn't match in my opinion and that's very unfortunate because this place could be magic. read more

A gem of a coffee shop. Fabulous baked goods and some interesting gift items. When the weather is nice sit out back.

My kids love the muffins. The backyard has a relaxing vibe. Nice pit stop for a trip to Samual P.

This place used to be good. Now they have untrained baristas who don't know how to prepare a descent cappuccino. Tried twice with two different people but got something like a watered down latte with expired shots. read more
