Short: Cute spot and nice variety of options. Prices are a bit steep depending on the item. Visited two weeks prior to final exam week of the uni semester.
Boy,oh Boy, where do I start? Do I just have bad luck or? When I arrived, there was a couple of signs, that look like menus or hours but were constantly have been changed. I came around lunchtime.
Customer service: Slow and not so helpful. It took about 10 mins to try to ring up my order. Then tried to make me pay much more than my order actually was. Another 5 mins at least for my drink. I did ask about a drink recommendation, and honestly, she sounded pretty confused about what to suggest herself.
Food & Drink: I ordered a honey wheat bagel with Nutella. They did not have my first 3 choices: these included cream cheese or banana. I thought this was pretty silly, as it was only lunchtime [12:30p]. My drink was a hazelnut steamer. My bagel was warm and good amount of nutella, but it always could be more.
Price: It is pricey. For a small bagel with only nutella [$5.95], was nearly $6. Steamer/hot cocoa is $3.75 for 16oz.
Overall, I like the aesthetic of a cafe in an extensive library. I understand students run it. The cafe needs better employee training and management of inventory. read more
