This very cool coffee house is located just steps from the university. The interior is cool and comfortable. The avocado toast here is outrageously good. You get a huge shmear of avocado on wonderfully fresh thick cut bread. It's terrific. The cinnamon toast looked awful but it was actually fine. The mocha latte was excellent. I have been meaning to try tailored for a while now and it did not disappoint. Tailored has a simple, clean, vibe. Not too many crazy flavors of drinks, and the menu is pretty small. I like this because it makes ordering way easier since I am so indecisive. The pastries are delicious. The selection isn't huge-they had muffins, Kouign-amanns, and croissants. I also got a green tea which was really flavorful. I like how they used loose leaf tea and gave you a steeper with your cup. They play great music too which I really like. Service is great! Definitely try this out. Not the most unique coffee shop but definitely a solid spot. read more

beautiful coffee shop close to campus. offers a small selection of toasts, sandwiches, and pastries as well as coffee. highly recommend their B.L.Chi - it's a BLT sandwich, but they use kimchi instead of tomatoes, and it's the best thing i've eaten all week. their avo toast is also delicious. i love coming here to study - lots of tables and natural light. read more

This has nothing to do with their coffee, but with their customer support. We bought a monthly coffee subscription online a few months ago. We were supposed to receive a bag every other week. We only received one. When I wanted to contact support, there was no phone number, only an email. I sent an email in June, and they told me they were having issues with their subscription service called re-charge? Ok, fine, I asked them to let me know when my subscription resumes.. this was towards the end of June. I followed up another email in early August if there were any updates. Didn't hear anything from them a little over a month now, until I sent a followed up email. They changed services since the previous service they used wasn't working. Understandable, but shouldn't customer support let customers know of such changes especially if we paid for the monthly subscription? Even if we weren't charged for it, I was looking forward to their coffee but they didn't do anything to let me know in advance or at least an email saying they switched over and would help customers resume their subscription. read more

The coffee is not the main reason I like this place, but rather the food. I think this is one of the best places to get a breakfast sandwich in town. I usually get the breakfast sandwich on brioche with bacon added. It's so delicious, especially with the salsa! The coffee is way better than Starbucks (duh), but not my absolute favorite in town. I usually get a vanilla latte which has been too sweet for me a few times. My biggest qualm about going here more often is pricing. It is a little spendier - a coffee + food will easily break $12 with a tip. In my opinion that's a little much too make it a daily stop. However, the food absolutely makes it worth the occasional visit! Overall I'd definitely recommend giving it a try. read more

I met up with a friend at Tailored for the first time the other day and it is definitely your average coffee shop. The baristas were very nice and the ambiance was relaxed, but there was room for improvement. I felt like the shop itself was outdated and could use a refresh. I went there specifically to get some work done, but most of the charging ports were busted or too loose to hold a charger. I also felt like their drinks were just OK. My mocha was pretty burnt and flavorless. I'd like to give it another chance someday in the future, but as for now, I won't be back. read more

This place was such a nice and relaxing place to do work at. The staff are SO friendly and their hot chai was spicy and flavorful. I like the vibe here. It's very insta-friendly for the aesthetic and has good natural light. I like the tea and they offer to keep giving you more hot water. Food is highly aesthetically, too. I like the avocado toast. The Mrs. West (fancy avo toast with hard boiled egg, arugula, and radishes had waaaaaaaaaaaay too much red pepper flakes, though). I feel a bit uneasy spending about $15 for a coffee and and a piece of toast, However, the toast I had there was so complex and satisfying, probably the best toast I have had in a while, so it was worth it. I have only ever ordered their cappuccinos before. I order it with their nut milk and it always is prepared so frothy, foaming, and yummy. On this morning I was starving so I'd thought I'd give their food menu a try. I ordered their Mrs. West: an avocado toast with a soft boiled egg set upon a bed of arugula and radishes and then drizzled with balsamic vinegar and sprinkled with crushed red pepper flakes. This toast was SO GOOD! It's a bit difficult to eat so you will look a bit foolish attempting to take a bite. However, every bit was full of flavor. I particularly love the bread they used as the toast. I'm not sure what it was but it was awesome. I really enjoy their minimalist design with a soft sprinkle of art and settle pop culture nods. This location near the college can be a bit difficult to access if you are not already a student walking around campus. But it would be a great spot to visit during the college off season. I'm looking forward to trying their other food options. read more

What an awesome coffee shop! Loved the aesthetic (especially all the plants) + good coffee + great customer service! Our barista was super friendly and welcoming! He even played a song for me from the OutKast album that they have displayed behind the bar! Talk about extra brownie points for this place. Not to mention, he also recommended to us his favorite sandwich which was the B.L.CHI. So of course we ordered it & it definitely did not disappoint! This location is closed for seating, but you order at the door. The customer service was very poor. We asked nicely for ice water twice, & a smidge of cinnamon on top of the chai. Very nice roast with hints of spice. A very coffee flavored coffee, straight forward, but not too strong, and a classically made latte. The atmosphere is clean and spaced for social distancing. Parking in this neighborhood is at a premium. However, if you find yourself in the neighborhood and need a moment to pause and reflect, this is a great choice. My wife and I had taken a trip up to Portland for the weekend and had a chance to hop around to some coffee shops. I was very happy to finally try Tailored on our way back, and what a great experience! Very friendly staff, super dope shop, the espresso and drip coffee were the best we had on the trip.
