Chestnut garlic bread
Mia H.

This Korean cafe in Fort Lee offers a variety of pastries, drinks, and even meals. They have lots of seating for you to enjoy your food and catch up with friends. It's a self-serve spot. I stopped by here for a little bit to grab a quick bite. I got their chestnut garlic bread to enjoy with my friend and we both loved it. It was sweet and savory (although it didn't taste that much like garlic bread). I wish they had warmed it up though.

Avocado scrambled egg with super tough bread

Surprisingly decent brunch place in this area of Pal Park and Fort Lee border. They are a Korean bakery but their kitchen also serves great hot brunch options like omelets and very decent smoked salmon breakfast options. I haven't tried their French toast but looks pretty good. I have tried the Trois omelet a few times because it's so good. It comes with a zesty, fresh salad and roasted fingerling potatoes and a roll. The omelet is nice and fluffy. It's a simple , clean, and satisfying dish. They have fresh squeezed juice too. I haven't tried their latte drinks except an Americano. My niece once tried their matcha latte and found it a bit grainy, probably made with matcha latte powder mix rather than pure matcha. There are not many decent eggy brunch places around this area so thank goodness for Cafe Trois. In the late morning hours, there are a lot of Korean seniors chatting in groups so finding seating isn't going to be easy so sometimes you'll get lucky and get a table right away and sometimes you may have to wait. I haven't tried their bake goods although some look really good. One thing I would suggest is getting different bread for the avocado toast. On my recent trip, the toast was more like a French bread loaf. It was thick and so tough and stale. I couldn't even cut with a knife. I should have returned it but I fought with that bread and managed to eat most of it. If you are watching your carb or don't want a thick piece of toast, ask if they can sub with a regular sandwich toast bread. I have to say though the smoked salmon they use was very tasty. A great brunch option in the area.

This place recently became my spot for cafe in NJ. First of all, coffee was superb and gluten-free bread was awesome as well as some of the pastries, not all of them are good. The ambiance is warming but there is only one bathroom for each gender considering the size of the cafe, I think there should be more than one. The service is not bad but the employees don't look so happy. But still, coffee, pastries, bread, and the ambiance is good.

Cafe Trois was a pleasant visit. Since it's located within this busy Fort Lee shopping complex, you will have plenty of parking. The food served is fabulous, fresh, and with good portions. During this visit, we had the following: Trois Signature Omelet (Spinach, fresh herbs, mushrooms, Trois cheese mixture) and the Strawberry Toast French Toast (Brioche bread, strawberry, milk, egg, cream fraiche, maple syrup). I really enjoyed the creaminess of the omelet and the salty fingerling potatoes made this item an optimal choice. Highly recommended. My beverage was the Creme Briulee Latte. It was perfectly crafted and wasn't overly hot, which allowed me to enjoy it immediately. The ONLY thing that I didn't enjoy was the flow of the ordering process. There was only one station open and the line had customers covering items for potential purchase. I did not purchase any sweets or pastries, but they all looked fresh and appetizing. I recommend Cafe Trois for an enjoyable breakfast/brunch, but I'm glad that we visited during the weekday, because I can't imagine how this cafe looks on weekends.

A great place to get pastries in the Fort Lee area. All the pastries I got were exceeding my expectations. I love the self serve option and they have so many options to pick from. I highly recommend this place. I would come back. My favorite would be the Earl Grey tea pastry, but the crème brûlée donut was good, but it was a little too sweet for me, the green tea on the croissant was very unique and tasty.

Creme Brûlée Donut (~$4), Blueberry Danish (~$4), Apple Tart (~$4), Red Bean Mochi Donut (~$3)

Ordered: Creme Brûlée Donut (~$4) Blueberry Danish (~$4) Apple Tart (~$4): topped with blueberries Red Bean Mochi Donut (~$3) Aya's take: We were in the area and decided to stop by Cafe Trois to curb our sweet tooth with some pastries & desserts. All the pastries we got were self-serve and unfortunately, a lot of the items were mislabeled. We went by appearance for most of our selections but for example, the Red Bean Mochi Donut was labeled as something else right next to it which we wanted. Out of the 4 pastries, the Creme Brûlée Donut was probably the best I've had. It had that caramelized, crunchy layer on top and filled with a delicious creme. They absolutely did not skimp out on the creme! The donut dough was soft and not too thick. The other pastries were good too and not overly sweet. There's plenty of seating so I can totally see this being a place to work, study, or catch up with a friend.

Pain au Pistachio Raisin

The cafe is a very nice place to have a cup of coffee. Our party purchased a hot Latte, Cappuccino and a Americano. The clerk was very helpful in telling me the size of the Macchiato before I made my coffee decision. She told me it was small compared to our party choices. There were plenty of tables and chairs. And it is a very nice modern cafe place. Well lit. Their restrooms were clean as well. The bakery items that we purchased to go were very delicious. The Pain au Pistachio Raisin has a generous amount of pistachios and raisins. The bread is soft and moist.

French toast

I came here on a rainy weekend morning and it was STILL packed! Pros: Cute decor Lots of seating Normal portion sizes Huge parking lot (shares it with other stores in a large strip mall) Food tastes good Fruit is huge, the strawberries on my french toast were the size of my palm Cons: It was so packed, the seating gets taken even though there's tons of it Expensive coffee, a small was over $5. And then they add $1 for any syrup you want. Seriously? Felt like a rip off Long waiting times. It took 15+ min for just my coffee. The area to pick up orders/grab-n-go are right on top of each other so it gets unorganized and confusing It's hard to hear with all the noise It's a cute spot to visit if you're in the area, but I wouldn't go again.

I have been coming here since it opened. I have introduced it to a few friends and they all loved it. Its always been a good experience. Great coffees americano, and teas as well as good service, food, pastries and overall great selection of food, bakery items, and drinks. Place is clean and spacious and they play some good music. I love the french toast, americano, and creme brûlée donuts so those would be a few i would recommend. Breads are really good too and they have a variety of options. If they ever do make a mistake they are very nice about it and will fix it right away. I will continue to keep coming here and recommend it to others. Others i brought really enjoyed the avocado toast, matcha, and the salmon egg toast with a side salad. Only issues I had here (twice) is them adding onions when I said no onions. I was very specific about not being able to eat them... I said I was allergic and luckily I am very sensitive and can smell them. Hopefully the chef will be more careful moving forward because both times the cashier confirmed it was on the notes. I will still give it a 5 star but if that happens again I will have to remove a star.

Trois signature omelette

Grabbed brunch here with a friend & loved the ambiance and location (God bless it being in a parking lot)! The service was also amazing. I ordered the Trois signature omelet, and honestly my favorite part ended up being the bread/butter. I'd probably try something else if I go again, it just didn't blow me away. For drinks I got the Creme brûlée latte which was good! One of the staff members said it'd be really sweet and I don't think it was. It DID have a strong coffee flavor which was amazing. I definitely got intrigued by their tea flavors/drinks. Outside of that I also got some pastries from the self serve space in the cafe. I got an almond croissant and some Belgian waffles. The croissant tasted really good and had this tart berry filling which I wasn't expecting at all. And the waffles were a good staple, sweet and tasted fresh. Overall a really nice space to meet up for breakfast/lunch! Can't wait to visit again!

Matcha latte, blueberry cake, pecan pie
Mili L.

Nice spot to grab tea after grocery shopping on thanksgiving week. The pecan pie well balanced flavor ratio was my favorite. The pecans are still a bit crunchy and I like the fact that is not extremely sweet. Matcha latte was good but the blueberry slice cake tasted odd.

Matcha chocolate croissant, spinach and cheese savory pastry, crème brûlée donut
Sophie K.

Came here with my boyfriend and our friends for brunch on New Year's Day. Overall, we thought this place was pretty cute and a decent spot. FOOD: my boyfriend and I shared the chickpea, avocado toast and the spinach and cheese pastry with two pastries. This was just the right amount of food for us. Generally, I quite liked the chickpea avocado toast, there was a good helping of avocado, and good flavors to match with it. Bread was good and the salad that came with it was fine too. I generally liked the spinach and cheese pastry, but it would've been so much better if it had been warm. We asked if we could get it warmed up and they said no :(. PASTRIES: Boo and I shared chocolate Matcha croissant and a crème brûlée donut. Honestly, I was pretty disappointed in these pastries. The croissant tasted stale, and the Matcha and chocolate didn't actually go all that well together. The crème brûlée donut was interesting, the glaze outside did remind me of crème brûlée, but the odd thing was that the glaze stuck all over your teeth. It was a very odd sensation and not an enjoyable one. AMBIANCE: this place is decorated quite cute, kind of going for a Frenchish style café. There is lots of seating, and it feels spacious. SERVICE: it's an order at the counter and then take a number and they'll bring you your food. I like this kind of casual dining. OVERALL: Pretty tasty! Definitely willing to come back and try some other pastries.

Trois Breakfast and Crème brûlée latte
Lisabel H.

I had never heard of Cafe Trois, but I'm so glad it was recommended here on Yelp! I stopped for breakfast with a friend and it was perfect! She got the Croque Madame and I got the Trois Breakfast which were both really good! We both got the Crème Brûlée Latte which was really good, and not too sweet which I was a little worried about. They have lots of pastries which looked amazing! The staff is very nice and food came out pretty quick!

While deciding on what to order, the owner offered to make me a drink that was off the menu. How about a mixed one with strawberry, Matcha and coconut? Hey, if the boss is recommending it I'm all for it. My son got the ube and coconut. OMG, both drinks were so darn yummy. I am not an ube fan whatsoever, but my son insisted I take a sip. I have to say it was the best ube drink I have ever tried. The coconut mixed with the strawberry and matcha is a game changer. The teddy bear made of ice was so cute and makes for a cool IG pic. The owner was sweet enough to ask if we liked it. I gave her the thumbs up and said they were excellent and that we will be back. Oddly they also serve pho here, it's not a restaurant per se. We didn't have any so I can't comment. But definitely come for these yummy Vietnamese concoctions. Street meter parking only.

Imagine our delight when we found this place on Yelp. This is huge for coffee lovers. Most of their beans are single-origin, and while some may be a little nervous that it's next to a gas station, rest assured, it will be one of the best coffees you will ever enjoy. Bold statement, but a true statement. Seating is very limited. One side has four seats at a long bench table, while the other side offers two seats. There was also a table with a few chairs outside. This place has espresso drinks, coffee, a limited tea selection (tea bags, not loose leaf), banana bread, croissants, and other various baked items. We had a buttery croissant and banana bread -- both were heated up and outstanding!! The coffee beans are roasted in-house, and they also offer coffee on tap. It turns out they have several locations, and they all roast their own beans on-site. You can also purchase beans to grind at home, should you choose. Parking is tight but free. They do have a bathroom if you need to use it, and the baristas who work there are all experts at making coffee. They are incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, and are great to chat with about their beans when the place is at a rare slow time. They are dedicated to their craft. Anytime we are nearby, this will be the only place we will be stopping for a supreme cup of java. My biggest regret: not purchasing a bag to take home. The Roast'd Legender is calling out to me.

Every ingredient was fresh, the eggs were fluffy, and it was accompanied by a side salad and two large slices of multigrain bread. The shrimp pasta had good flavor but the portion was way too tiny. After only three or four bites, it was gone. There were about 4 pieces of shrimp in the entire dish and they could've added more pasta, given that it's not an expensive ingredient. The tonkatsu was also underwhelming. It was a small piece served in a large container that made the portion size look even more skimpy. I was also disappointed in the tteokbokki. It was mostly sauce with no egg and only a few pieces of fish cake, again served in a container that was far too large for the amount of food provided. The kim-ma-ri pieces were fine but also very small. Overall, the meal was underwhelming. For a total cost of nearly $50, the quantities were just way too small. We were left feeling unsatisfied and still hungry.

It turned out the red bean was spoiled, so I had to go back and ask them to remake the drink without it. This time, on 12/27 around 5:30 PM, I ordered a hojicha latte. After placing my order, I noticed there was a free size upgrade promotion running throughout December, so I asked if my drink could be upgraded. The staff member said no, explaining that it had to be done while ordering for the promotion to apply. That excuse felt very lame and honestly came across as laziness, especially since it was a free upgrade and could have easily been accommodated. At another Maiko location (Garden State Plaza), the staff proactively informed me about the promotion and asked if I wanted the upgrade, which is what I would expect. Unfortunately, the Fort Lee location didn't offer the same experience. Even after I asked, it felt like I was given weak excuses rather than a genuine effort to help. On top of that, the hojicha latte here was overly milky. I've had the same drink at other Maiko locations where it tasted much nuttier and more balanced, so this was disappointing. I really love Maiko overall, but based on these experiences, I wouldn't visit the Fort Lee location again.
