they have happy hour till 6: your second round is free! can be of anything, doesn't need to be the same drink you ordered which is GREAT. however HH for drinks only is only at the bar or outside but they have heaters out and we were toasty - totally coming back! the passionfruit marg was just okay, nothing crazy, but they have a nice wine selection. they made our drinks fast.

As I shopped in Soho, my partner found this spot for us to take a break from all the walking boy did he find a good one! as I was walking, I asked for suggestions from a friend that used to live in the area and they also suggested this place right off the bat. He ordered an espresso martini to begin, but mention how it was so strong when I arrived, I also ordered an espresso martini but added cream, and it was absolutely delicious and exactly what I needed to continue the day. I can't wait to come back and enjoy the other offerings. The food looked delicious. Also the barista or bartender was very nice, friendly and knew what to do behind the bar!

Were passing by the bustling outdoor seating area at the front of the restaurant, so we took a seat to observe the passerby's and enjoy the last warm evening of the season. Indoor seating was very dark and cramped. Chill vibe, modern pop hits played in the background. Outdoor seating was also super tight--we literally participated in conversations of couples sitting right next to us. NYC and space constraints--gota make the most out of limited sidewalk area right by the restaurant. This is not a place for good food. Everything is mediocre and overpriced. This is a good spot for drinks--$16 gusano [mezscal, honey, spiced salt] hit the spot and was a perfect blend of flavors that would revive any drained pilgrim. The best thing we ate were $22 half a dozen oysters, which were fresh. $18 escargot was the worst--utterly bland and tasteless. A child can make better escargot with eyes closed--just pour the snails from a can into a dish, cover with oil, add salt. Salting this helped to salvage this sad excuse of a dish. $16 catalan shrimp was okay. Buttery, fatty white wine sauce had decent flavor. Most of the dish consisted of potatas bravas and toasted sourdough [only 5 shrimp in the portion]. $17 fluke & tiger shrimp ceviche was nothing to write about. Your typical, forgettable ceviche, that had more filler than seafood. Service was standard. You can find better spots with tastier food, more space, and cooler ambiance. Not a place I'd return to.

Perfect late night French Swiss spot. showed up around 10pm and the kitchen was still open with no rush to close. The raclette was served with 4 slices of toast. It was melted to a plate when it reached the tables with about 4 mini potato pieces and 3 cornishons. This went well with the dry cider. We also ordered zucchini chips with came with three dips including hummus. The seasonal soup was a large portion. The food is excellent for the hour and price.

This is the exact spot you want to pop into after shopping in soho/nolita. Around 4/5 pm on a weekday, it was relatively quiet but provided excellent people-watching. We got cocktails (espresso martini, sangria) and a cheese plate, which provided quite a hefty serving and selection. The prices are pretty much what you'd expect from the neighborhood, the decor is quaint, and the staff is friendly. I don't know if I would go out of my way for this spot, but it'll definitely be a go-to when I'm in the area :)

This place SUCKS! This is proof of what a Sh1tty manager can do. The Hostess has a Horrible attitude, arrogant and prepotent... like she's royalty and her word is the law... All tables are reserved except the one she assigns. Then they will not allow any changes, even if it is NOT having bacon on your salad WTF??? They look at you as if they were giving you the $25 dollar sandwich for free and you can't ask anything. Bad management kills restaurants They should be ALL about service... But they are certainly not... The food is actually not bad

Service is pretty poor. seems like it could be a good spot but when you have rude staff holding you back it's going to be hard to succeed.

The dining room was extremely hot, and there didn't appear to be any air conditioning, which made it uncomfortable throughout the meal. The food also took quite a while to arrive. I ordered a tequila mule, but it was lacking flavor and was underwhelming. For my entrée, I ordered the steak medium well, but it came out medium rare. Despite being undercooked, the steak was surprisingly tough and chewy, and it did not seem like a quality cut of meat considering the price. The waiter was friendly and provided good service, which was the highlight of the visit. However, due to the uncomfortable atmosphere, slow food service, disappointing drink, and poor-quality steak, I would not recommend dining here.

Think vintage wallpaper, little knick-knacks, and warm lighting. It's got character. I ordered the market salad with mixed greens, honeycrisp apples, goat cheese, candied pecans, and sherry vinaigrette. It was a hearty portion - super fresh and flavorful, and honestly more than I could finish (not a complaint!). I also ordered a Diet Pepsi with grenadine; they don't carry Diet Coke, which I almost docked a point for, but the mix was unexpectedly delicious. Highly recommend it. My date ordered the hanger steak and said it was absolutely amazing. Only hiccup: his first glass of wine he got came out hot... like, microwave-level warm. Fortunately, the server brought a new (cold) one and the rest of the meal was smooth sailing. Service was friendly, the vibe was homey and relaxed, and the food was solid across the board. Would definitely come back, especially for that salad and another round of grenadine magic.

It was our first time eating at a Friedman's location. It had a nice diner feel to it, with a mix of booths and tables. The brunch menu has a variety of breakfast items, salads, sandwiches and burgers, starters, and entrees (fish tacos, grain bowl, fried chicken). I like that several of the items are naturally gluten free, and some can be made gluten free by request. We decided to go with three breakfast items from the brunch menu: I got the shakshuka, my sister got the Nova Benny, and we got the lemon ricotta pancakes to share. All 3 dishes were great. The shashuka came with grilled ciabatta, perfect for dipping into the sunny side eggs and tomato sauce. My sister loved that the poached eggs and smoked salmon of the Nova Benny came on top of a crispy potato latke. The pancakes were fluffy and the lemon ricotta and lemon zest elevated their flavor. Our server was friendly and attentive, and he asked us if we had any allergies when he took our order. He came by several times to check on us and refill water. I would return to Friedman's when I'm in the Herald Square area, or check out one of their other locations in the city.

They were NOT lying!!! Oh my gosh! It was amazing! The meat was so tender, peppery, juicy! My mother and I got the half a sandwich and soup. I decided to get the matzo ball and pastrami. I had never had matzo ball (we got a first timer here!!!!) ahhhmazing although I don't have anything to compare it to but the broth, was so fresh and clean, the dough/noodle? was so soft and tender, just melted away. Ah it was heavenly. My mom got the mushroom barley and of course the pastrami. I tried a bit of her soup too. It was also delicious. It was beefy (from mushroom) and thick and hearty. Definitely a meal in itself. The meals came with coleslaw and 2 types of pickles I think...and don't hold me to this one was a kosher pickle and the other was a sour one? Am I dumb? Maybe.
