Pumpkin Spiced Latte, at Cafe Mio in Gardiner, NY.
Tom D.

Stopped at Cafe Mio for a late breakfast yesterday w/ the wife. We sat outside, because we were with our mini poodle, but the weather has also been outstanding during our stay in the area. My wife wanted the House-made Corn Beef Hash and I went with the Apple Cinnamon French Toast (w/ a side of sausage). My wife also had a Pumpkin Spiced Latte. I went back inside to place the order and the meals came out after a short wait. Everything hit the spot, my French Toast was quite tasty, and my sausage had a crisp outing coating, very nice. My wife loved her Hash (some decent sized chunks of meat were in that hash), and she ended up ordering a 2nd Pumpkin Spiced Latte. Unfortunately, we had to cut the meal short because a swarm of yellow jackets descended on us soon after our food arrived. There was a warning sign about the yellow jackets, so this is in no way faulting Cafe Mio, it was what it was. We had a similar experience two days earlier at Lola's in New Paltz, it's just the time of year that these nasty creatures will be attracted to food. So we boxed up the rest of our meals in takeout containers and finished our breakfasts the next morning. Cafe Mio serves excellent food, we would certainly come back if we were in the area again. It is a bit on the pricey side, our meals today were over $50 (before tip), that's a lot for breakfast. But like I said, everything was Top Notch quality.

Went for a rainy, misty Sunday morning brunch, and the first thing I realized after reaching there was there was no network or wifi. In a way, it was great because we were in the moment and enjoying our food. The ambiance was a pretty cafe in a small town. It was pretty crowded as well. I overheard someone saying that there are days when the waiting is 45 mins. Thankfully we did not have to wait to be seated. What did we order? ~ We ordered the day's special broccoli rabe and beetroot omelet with a side of potatoes and toast. It was delicious. And someone who loves their veggies like me would love it. ~ Veggie tofu scramble - replaced it with eggs. Was yum. Lots of veggies with a side of toast and potatoes. ~ Nutella latte - one-word DELICIOUS! Perfect start to our morning. ~ To end our brunch we ordered apple cinnamon French toast even though we were full. And we managed to eat 90 percent of it. Overall, great place, with amazing service, and delicious food. Worth the visit.

This place is cozy, inviting and bright. I can actually read the menu without resorting to my phone's flashlight app. The staff is all very friendly and welcoming. They are almost always busy but since they've expanded their space I don't remember ever having to wait more than five minutes for a table. Which is good since it's first come first served. The menu is just big enough to give you some variety but not overwhelming. They serve everything with bread that is freshly baked, the coffee is delicious and comes in nice big mugs with refills available. I ordered the ham and cheddar omelet $14 my wife had the breakfast sandwich about $9. Both came with a salad. Mine filled a cup and hers took half the plate. The Breakfast Sandwich is definitely a better. Deal. Both had three eggs, cheddar cheese and ham. But there were four slices of bread and a larger salad. And $9 less. They tasted great. I always come back here but I'll get the sandwich next time

Stopped in for a mid-morning breakfast, with best friend, Pots & Pans. On his bucket list for several years. We both love the area and good food. Our expectations were exceeded. Ample parking, and spacious interior. Very warm, inviting atmosphere. Maureen greeted and seated us. Coffee was excellent. Although the menu is somewhat limited (for both breakfast as well as lunch), there are some tough choices to make. P & P opted for the Banana Bacon French Toast, served w a dolce de leche cream sauce. I had a bite, and all I can say is DECADENT! Like nothing I've ever had before. My choice of Homemade Hash topped by two eggs was awesome. Like a warm hug on a cold day (although not from P & P). There were chunks of CBH "smooshed" together with just the right amount of potatoes. One quibble - comes with one slice of toast. C'mon. Food, service, ambiance all top shelf. A bit pricey, but worth it.

I adored this place. The food was spectacular. The drinks were yummy and a good pour. The servers were incredibly friendly, honest and attentive. The menu was full of creative flavors and priced very well. I adored my lamb ribs. Truly fell off the bone and were a total delight. The bf had the sausage and peppers sandwich which was hard to eat because of the bun. He ate it open face and was happy but would have preferred a toasted roll. The fries he had were heavenly and crisp and just the right amount of truffled to be flavorful and addictive but not overpowering. We can't wait to return! Skip Huckleberry in New Paltz and drive the 10 minutes to Mío instead!!

Delicious food and quick service. The mimosas are mostly champagne so come ready . The food is fresh and filling.

Drink- Mule with lime Food- Apple Cinnamon French Toast, home fries, sausage Grilled chicken wrap with fries

Great place if you are considering a stop for breakfast or lunch, however, small place with limited seating so expect a wait on the weekends or prime lunch time. Earlier the better or later in the day are best times. Food quality is significantly better than most cafes and restaurants around the area. Service and quality will not disappoint!

Once there the vibe feels rustic, historic, little speakeasy vibes. Service was fantastic. Everyone was so nice and knowledgeable about all the different wines available. The charcuterie grazing board was every and any thing you could possibly want, at least we thought so. Sooooo good!! The dippy duet of the tapenade and pistachio cream dip thing (sorry forgot the name) delicious. We ordered an entree to share and everyone raved about the lamb chops. Safe to say we'll be back. Such a good deal, $40 for 2 glasses from their signature wine list and a charcuterie board of your choice. The server was kind and informative, very friendly and open to conversation. She suggested the board with smoked mackerel, served with warm bread, avocado crema, juicy cherry tomatoes and gherkins. Beautifully presented and so delicious. We loved our Pinots and of course I indulged in a second glass. Peace, The Happy Hour Huntress

Juicy and fresh, and the cornichon touch instead of pickles is perfect. Last time was the dead of winter so we were inside with the disco balls and fun table candles that are a melted concoction. It's very clean, and in the winter the walls were dark green, and this time they were light green. Because of the amazing weather we sat outside, and the waiter Remy made sure to find us a spot that was perfect for our table of two. The string lights and fans were fantastic additions, it felt transportive. We always have the best experience with the servers, and this time it was Remy who was a refreshing delight. Fresh from France, he knows the wine and helped us make the best selection. He's hilarious and real, and so fun. I love the descriptions of the wine on the menu. Give it a good read, it's very entertaining. Pair it with the burger and a glass of vino, and you're set for a great night.
