Food was good - service not so much. It took 2.5 hours to order (repeatedly) drinks and dinner - wait patiently for things to be served (4 of us served at different times - clearly a problem in the kitchen) and try to be understanding since they were swamped. But, had we been told when we were seated for our reservation that the chef didn't show up and that they were trying to do the best they could to accommodate everyone - it would have made the endless waiting much more tolerable - especially since the restaurant had totally cleared out when we were served our cannoli. This place was so great! We started off with the grilled bread and caprese. The grilled bread was surprisingly tasty, they had garlic grilled on to it and it was just wonderful. We had the grilled stuffed chicken and fettuccine di carne for our main meals and they did not disappoint. The grilled stuffed chicken was more of average but the carne pasta was so good with a very nice sauce. The server was very friendly and attentive. We were the only people in the restaurant at 7 pm on a Wednesday night and it was very nice to have a quiet meal. We did see them turn a guy away around 8:30 pm even though they close at 9 pm due to then being so slow it looks like they were closing early. Keep this in mind if your headed in late! read more

This is a small Italian place next to Target in Santa Fe. It's so hard to find mid-range (not chain owned) restaurants in Santa Fe. The prices are good, until you pay $7 for bread, which was surprising. No children's menu, but they were able to split a plate of fettuccine for our kids (which they charged $4 to do). Our server was nice, but it took 30 minutes to get our food. The restaurant was about 1/2 full when we got there and by the time we ordered, all the tables were seated. The ambiance was fine; good lighting. Our food was tasty, but too small of portions and the lettuce was wilted in the salad. This place probably has potential, but I imagine they probably haven't ever run a restaraunt before. We won't go back there with our kids b/c the wait was way too long for hungry five year olds, but they did like that the tables were covered with paper they could color. Bummer b/c the south side needs a good Italian place that isn't Olive Garden! read more

Really sorry to do this but this was one of this worst restaurant meals I have had in ages--salty, overcooked, and very uneven service although the waitress was charming and friendly. I don't normally do this but the chef needs to be trained or replaced. It was awful and it still cost over $100 for two entrees and two drinks. The service was super slow. I ordered 4 glasses of water with lemon and it just took forever. I think they gave it to the other table of 4, then she brought us plain water, when I specifically asked for lemon. No big deal, she brought us lemon after but for me the small details is all tha matters between 15% and 20% tip. I ordered the stuffed chicken and it was burned. The side zucchini and mashed potatoes were ok. The pasta dishes were done al dente but very salty. The worse was the fried calamari. It looked and tasted like someone didn't like and they re fried it. Small, greasy and overcooked, especially the shrimps. We saw the same order in another table and it looked fresh. read more

We both had the goat cheese salad which was really good. Lots of goat cheese and roasted tomatoes, pine nuts. Very good! Had a glass of wine which was a very small pour so I didn't get a second. My spouse had the veal penne. It was super good, great depth of flavor. I had the chicken piccata which was missing lemon and garlic and salt. It did have plenty of capers which was good. These people don't know what they're doing. I've had two major problems with them. I'll never return. I ordered a niciose salad takeout and the tuna was overcooked and tough, it was missing the advertised potatoes and green beans, but had cucumbers which is not included in this type of salad, and what restaurant puts salad dressing on a salad that is takeout? It's standard practice to put the dressing on the side for takeout and they refused to remake it. By the time I got home, the lettuce was wilted and soggy as expected. Also, the first time I went there, I had takeout gluten-free pasta, and when I took home the pasta it was only halfway cooked, barely edible. I will never give this place another chance ... one of the worst restaurants I've ever been to which is unfortunate. Sorry people. read more

Worst chicken picatta I've ever had. It was not breaded, overly cooked, and zero flavor. They just threw in plain noodles with no sauce. Also, I was taking this to go, the waiter asked if I wanted bread. I said sure, assuming that came with the meal. I like small family businesses, and if you do, too, you will probably be a fan of Cafe Grazie. It is small and cozy. And there is plenty of parking in the strip center Cafe Grazie is in. Our server offered our table warm and toasted bread that had the perfect crunch. Oil and vinegar was on the table for dipping. Very delicious. We skipped appetizers this time, but our table enjoyed the salmon and the pancetta con penne. We also had dessert---a cannoli and tiramisu. They were both delicious. They do have high chairs if you have a little one in your party. However, they do not (at least not that I'm aware of or was told about) have a kid's menu which would have been nice. The price was reasonable. The service was good. And the food was tasty. For these reasons, I say take it from this professor: A- all around. read more

So I was craving Italian, did not know if this place was worth the stop but we will see. Very small location. 11 tables and I think capacity is about 50. The place is clean, could use a little sweeping but is clean and so was the restroom. They give cloth napkins and metal utensils. They use paper on tables and sat me at a table that had stains from last customer. Kitchen is hidden so you cannot see anything but the seating area. Nothing spectacular here, they do not even give bread and oil. I have been to many Italian and usually you get bread and oil. Finally brought me some bread! Wow about 20 minutes, unless the food is amazing I don't know if I'd come. Two pieces of bread. Finished that and asked for more bread. Lol. OMG! The chicken Alfredo is prefect! The sauce is rich, but not overly rich. Linguine is not to soft just right. I am thinking of the sauce as one of the best I have had. Oh and don't forget dessert, cheese cake! Yup you heard me right cheese cake with strawberry drizzle and raspberry pieces. So, I have to say, the food out way's anything. Second time eating here (once to-go and once dine-in). Service is pretty much non-existent and the small restaurant is nice and clean, but you are subjected to the conversations of anyone around you. Food was tasty, if a little over salted, but I've never paid full-price for a half-portion of lamb. I had a total of 4 small bites of meat. Glad I wasn't too hungry! My husband and I made a quick trip to Santa Fe to pick something up and stopped here for lunch before heading back home. This restaurant is unassuming from the outside, but when you walk in, it's light and bright, with just the right amount of decor on the walls. It's a very welcoming atmosphere. We started with two glasses of the Antinori Sangiovese. We were both surprised to find such a great wine in a restaurant this unassuming. We ordered the Fritto misto, frutti de mare and farfalle con scaloppine. All of our dishes were very well cooked with great flavor. I was expecting the seafoood to be over cooked, but they were perfect and very fresh tasting. The sauces were light and very flavorful. The service was pleasant and just right as well. I had the soup of the day which was a watermelon gazpacho that was refreshing. Gambolina a la Roma and the Farfalle con Scallopine were both good. I peeked through the glass door, but there were no customers, so I called them and asked them if they were open. The owner was happy to let us dine in as long as we were out of there before the party came around 1pm. The food was delicious, from the bread, the main course, and panna cotta was delicious! Great new find in Santa Fe! From the moment we walked In and were warmly greeted by...everyone! The owner quickly accommodated is into a nicely tucked away table that was perfect for a baby chair and made sure we had everything we needed to get comfortable. The food? Amazing. Everything. The mixed seafood appetizer, the spinach and ghost cheese salad, and both of our pasta dishes were excellent! So you see...you don't have to go all the way to the plaza to find good vittles - you can get great, well thought-out delicious Italian eats right off of cerellos rd! Enjoy! read more
