    Spanakopita Side
    Jann S.

The Cleopatra cafe doesn't look like much from the outside but come on in because the food is excellent. My daughter and I are always looking for good Mediterranean food. They have a good many with variety. We started with a hummus and a side order of spanakopita. The hummus and fresh pita were amazing. The spanakopita was full of spinach. It was good but I prefer more feta. I had the cleopatra plate and my daughter had the beef kabobs. The meat on both plates were full of flavor. Both came with a nice rice side as well as small Greek salad. The salad was very good as well. You order at the counter and they bring the food out to you. The service was good and friendly. We noticed a lot of to go orders. The tables were not very full but I think they had more to go orders than occupied tables. Very good. Well worth the side trip to find it!

Ordered from here last night. Took a bite of the chicken; chicken tasted extremely old & was the texture of tuna fish yet surprisingly dry at the same time..dish was inedible. Did not eat out of fear of getting sick. Rice was covered in grease. Called restaurant no answer.

Yes Yes Yes! I've been craving ~good~ Mediterranean food and this place hit the spot. I checked yelp before picking what to get and the Moses plate looked delicious and it did not disappoint. It had the perfect amount of sauce and the pita was nice and warm when it came out. We will absolutely be back! The dining area is somewhat dark but it didn't take away from the experience.

Santa Fe has its fair share of worthy restaurants. Count Cleopatra Café as one of those. The ambience is definitely unassuming, in the atrium of the design center. The food is fresh and very flavorful. I had the Egyptian salad with some pita bread.

kind of a strange place. Very very plain, almost industrial. They didn't even have the lights on. Service was quick. Salad was OK. Burger was OK. The little fries were absolutely delicious, but would not come back.

Ordered the food via DoorDash, so I can't comment on the Atmosphere or the Service of the restaurant, but the food, I'm here for it. I'll start with the "negatives" Rice wasn't too flavorful, not really special in any way Hummus was very light - (still had really good flavor, I just personally prefer a thicker hummus, so not even really a knock here) And the positives: The side salad, best side salad I've had, the feta cheese sprinkled across the top is just right, not too much that it's overwhelming, but enough that you get the flavor in each bite. Absolutely stunning, for it to be "just a salad" Cleopatra plate and Gyro, OUTSTANDING, I don't think I've ever had the lamb meat cooked the way this place cooks it, tender chunks, FULL of flavor. And as a little bonus, their signature house sauce on the top was amazing also, I finished all the pieces covered in the sauce first and was wishing I had some more on the side to dip the meats in, it is phenomenal. Definitely going on my list of restaurants I will be eating at when I'm in the area, every time I come through Santa Fe. Definitely go check this place out if you're nearby.

Cleopatra Plate and King Tut Plate missing multiple items.

Please note that my review is from a door dash order of this restaurant. My experience was quite bad, but I don't know if it was door dash's fault, or the restaurants. Every single thing we ordered for had something wrong with it.. We ordered the following: 1. King Tut Plate - it was missing the Pita and Tabbouleh 2. Cleopatra Plate - missing the Pita 3. (2) extra sides of Pita - completely missing 4. Side of Spanakopita - completely missing 5. Side of Tzaziki - completely missing I filed a report to door dash, asking if another driver could pick up the rest of our meal since a SUBSTANTIAL amount of food was missing. They said that they wouldn't do that, and instead offered a credit. I did ask them to send over my feedback to the restaurant and they said they would, but I'm unsure if they did. Anyway, what we got tasted good so I want to try in person, but a terrible first impression nonetheless.

    George chicken

I ordered Uber eat so I don't have any information on the service or ambiance. But the meal I got had very little flavor. The couscous had no flavor at all and was extremely dry. There was a ton of chickpeas which was a little much. There was a lot of chickpeas. The chicken was grilled pretty good, but there was still not much flavor to the chicken.

Baklava, if you can believe it.

I got the chicken shawarma bowl and the shawarma fries to try and have for lunch the next day. My friend got the loaded hummus plate and the dessert. The dessert was like baklava but with chocolate drizzle and cinnamon powder, not super sweet at all, more of a tang taste for sure. The shawarma was amazing and everything was super filling. The fries will probably be my new guilty pleasure! The bowl was also amazing and less of a guilt because there's plenty of veggies and fiber. The sauces they use are also just chefs kiss. The hummus was also incredible, you can tell they make it in house and it's super authentic. As a middle eastern it's not easy to come by good food that hits the spot like home does, so thank you Yalla Shawarma for providing amazing comfort food! The service was also great, we ordered online and the food was ready on time. Can't wait to be back!

For years, their samosas were some of the best: perfectly seasoned potato filling in a lightly friend pocket alongside some date chutney sauce. On their updated menu, samosas were listed as 25%, so I went for 2 thinking the portions were as they had been for the last 15 years. Sadly, this was not so. They were more like tiny hot pockets, baked pizza dough, with a rather bland, flavorless filling. Alongside a #3 cup of veggie of the day and $16 later, I realized my journey with Annapurna had come to an end, and I would not be returning. Also, I noticed the oat milk being added to the $7 oat chai was Kirkland brand, which consists of: (filtered water, organic rolled oat flour), organic sunflower oil, calcium carbonate, organic natural flavors, sunflower lecithin, sea salt, vitamin A palmitate, ergocalciferol (vitamin D2), riboflavin (vitamin B2), and cyanocobalamin (vitamin B12) . Some listings also describe it as fortified and organic, with no added sugar noted in one review source. I'm not an Ayurvedic doctor, but these ingredients and the quality of the food have declined considerably over the last years, which is sad. Such are the times...

We're normally big meat eaters but we're very, very happy with the vegetarian dishes here. The Mezze came with falafel, eggplant, salad (outstanding flavor), hummus, and very good hot pita bread. The Tajine was a delectable and we loved the presentation of it in the traditional clay pot. It had slow cooked vegetables (carrots, zucchini, sweet potatoes, etc) and was partially sweet with dates. But the highlight was the Moroccan mint tea, served traditionally in glasses and poured from high up. I haven't had tea that good in awhile (and yes I go to the Teahouse).
