Our dining experience was amazing! The server was awesome and gave us their full attention. The food we ordered came out in no time and it was absolutely outstanding! Haven't been here since pre covid, but was completely delighted with our recent return! We ordered and shared a variety of dishes (lemon chicken soup, gyro and Mediterranean combo platters, and spanakopita) - all excellent ....and reasonably priced. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER HAD!! I ordered 2 chicken sandwiches No onions for my son and I for pick up tonight, because my son and I are allergic to onions! The gentleman on the phone read my order back to me with no onions. He confirmed there would not be any grilled or fresh onions on it. When I picked up order, he confirmed, there was no onions on it. I got home and there were onions on it! Which my son and I are allergic to. I called the restaurant and told them there were onions on my order, the gentleman on the phone was nice but the chef & I guess the manager who said he made our orders himself was very rude, harsh and not accommodating,; he was not wanting to make it right. He just insisted there were no onions on it. I told him I would take a picture and send it to him but he insisted I drive all the way back over there to show him there were no onions on our order, which is very unacceptable, I do not live close to there & was not going to drive all the way over there just yo show him someone out onions on our order. I was so so disappointed yesterday (February 25). For years I have wanted to try this place and finally got to. Anytime I go somewhere for the first time I always try a combination plate to sample different things. The ONLY combo was vegetarian so I ordered it. The waitress was very polite and professional. She asked me if I wanted soup or salad, I asked for the chicken lemon soup and then she asked me what protein I wanted. I assumed they were adding meat to the veg. combo (which didn't make sense) so I asked for lamb. When I got in my car I had lamb and onions on a bed of rice- not the combo that I ordered! I went back in and asked what she had given me-i reminded her that I ordered the combo and pointed to it, she told me she had ordered me the other combo and pointed to the Gyro plate. NOWHERE does it say Gyro combo plate-it just says Gyro plate! How is meat and onion on a bed of rice a combination plate?! She was still very polite and professional and offered to correct her mistake but I was on my lunch break and did not have time to wait. I went back to my car and tried eating what she had given me, it was so dry I had to back and ask her for another tzatziki sauce just to get it down. The ton of onions gave me indigestion and made me sick all nite! I could be on here bad mouthing this place and ranting and raving but I'm not even though I was really pissed off. I have been a restaurant worker for 20 years and I still just want to try the damn combo plate that I ordered. I paid $25 and tipped. What a mistake! read more

The owners are from Tunisia and you really experience the wonderful authenticity. Our server Eva from Sweden was prompt and knowledgeable. The lamb-beef gyro was delicious....A made from scratch pita, encapsulating perfectly marinated charred meat, fresh lettuce, tomatoes and red onion. The tzatziki sauce was tangy and spot on. Available, was harissa sauce to nicely kick it up a notch..:). Sides of hummus with homemade pita and tabouli salad were very enjoyable. This was a nice get away from the usual. Thanks for reading. Quiet, comfortable, shady, out of the way, delicious, and overall wonderful. I came to Santa Fe New Mexico from California to work in an opera production. I came here on the recommendation of my director, And the stress of my job is more than made up for by the atmosphere of this quiet and small joint!!! The music selection of the proprietor makes the place feel like you can kick back and enjoy your food (for which by the way there was hardly any wait) I would always get a Shawarma sandwich with the harissa sauce, I'm a huge fan of spicy. And they make it with a wonderful balance between lamb and vegetables. PLUS it came with an absolutely perfect fries; not too starchy and not wilted at all! My fiancé and I came in for a quick bite and we loved the little place. It was very clean inside and the gentleman at the desk greeted us right away. The service was great and the food was prepared for us quickly. I ordered the Gyro Sandwich with a side Greek salad and it was delicious and very well presented. They didn't have spanakopita so I ordered their moussaka, and what arrived at the table wasn't moussaka. It was ladle fulls spooned on top of each other of meat sauce and vegetables and parmesan cheese sprinkled on top. The 'cook' obviously had no idea what it was. By the time we got to Santa Fe most of the places for dinner were already closed. We got in the car and drove aimlessly hoping to stumble upon some thing good and saw this place in an almost empty parking lot in a dark shopping center. I'm so glad we did. We ordered to go and were back in our hotel room in less than 15 minutes. The falafel was delicious though a bit different from what we're used to at home. My wife got chicken tagine which we had never heard of before but was also good. I got a shawarma and really enjoyed it. The restaurant had a whopping 6 patrons inside when we went in. Yet we still had to wait for almost 15 just for the waitress to show up and take our drink orders. Eventually the two of us were able to order our meals and we eagerly awaited our gyros. The problem is, our atrocious waitress only put in one entree order and even that was messed up and cold. After reading the other reviews, I'm not surprised at my three star rating. Good parking in well lit shopping center lot. Easy access from Cordova Rd. or Don Diego st. Ambience is lacking although the place was clean and neat. Broad menu selection of Mediterranean foods. Reasonable drinks selection. Today we were there at about 12:45, right after the lunch crowd. We seated ourselves having been told to do so and were promptly greeted by a server with menus and a request for our drink order. We got drinks coming, looked the menu over and ordered our lunches. Very quickly, I had my cup of lamb stew...piping hot! and my wife had her bowl of chicken soup. Very soon thereafter, I was served my Moussaka. After a few bites, I sent it back as it wasn't hot enough...as in cool in the middle. It was presented well with sauce and feta cheese but wasn't at eating temperature. Our server took it back and a few minutes later, returned with it at eating temperature. My wife never got the salad she had ordered as part of the soup and salad combo. Lucky for her the soup and pita were adequate with a few bites of my Moussaka to help out. Their service was good. The food was hit or miss...or a hit if it wasn't missing. Maybe we caught them at a bad time or... The stew was excellent, the soup was good, the Moussaka was mediocre between its undercooked vegetables and cold serving temperature. The generous plate of warm toasty pita was good. Overall, it doesn't rise above mediocre...maybe a bit less than that. It's the sort of thing that leaves me wondering what I should've ordered. There are other Mediterranean restaurants in town that, over time, have proven more dependable. read more
