    two plates of breakfast food
    Anna D.

This place is a hidden little restaurant in Santa Fe. It has descent space inside and service is faster than I expected. Restaurant is very clean and they constantly disinfecting and cleaning after customers. Prices are little overpriced but it's expected in Santa Fe for the cost of living. Big entrees with sides. Staff is very friendly. The green Chile is a must and it's definitely hot and recommend to get it on the side. The beverages come in bottles. The enchiladas I would definitely not recommend them but the other breakfast dishes I would recommend.

Indian Taco with two eggs over easy. Red chile sauce. May I add it was incredibly delicious!

I ordered the Indian Taco with two eggs over easy on it. Mother of God it was terrific! My wife ordered the stuffed sopapilla with green chile. She is from New Mexico and grew up on green chile. She found the sopapilla too hot and couldn't eat it. I told her I was going to embarrass her with this to her friends. But let's move on to the Indian Taco. I ordered this with red chile. It was delish!!!! What I love about Yelp is it levels the playing field for restaurants. This mom and pop place is a location I would have never found without the internet. I've bookmarked it so I can go back there my next trip!

This is only my first time here, but this place seems great. It's no-frills, and some might call it a "hole in the wall," but unlike many places with that label, it's very clean. Ramblin' Cafe is small and locally owned, and clearly it's primary clientele is locals. I ordered a bacon green chile burrito, smothered, and I wasn't disappointed. The potatoes were technically home fries (versus grated hash browns), but they combined the best of mashed potatoes and crispy potatoes. The green chile is VERY HOT, and I love spicy food, and have lived in NM for years. This green chile was hotter than the green chile at Horseman's Haven, probably because habañero is added for flavor. Prices are inexpensive for Santa Fe, with sandwich and burger meals, which come with a choice of fries, chips, salad, or coleslaw, run $7-10. I'm pretty sure I want to come back to try the tostadas!

I love their ground beef tacos that come on lightly fried corn tortillas instead of those hard preformed ones that so many local places use.

Located in a quieter part in the edge of downtown, parking is usually pretty easy to find on-Street, and it's a few steps over to shops. The outdoor patio is secluded and quiet, and the indoors offers plenty of seating in a historic setting that's bright and fresh. On the food side, Palacio cooks their red Chile for over 8 hours, making it in my opinion one of the best and most flavorful in Santa Fe. Most other places I get Christmas style, but here, the red Chile is just perfect. On this trip, we had a smothered breakfast burrito and enchiladas suizas. Both were perfectly cooked, served hot, and resulted in another visit of what we expected from Palacio - great food and friendly service in what had quickly become our favorite Santa Fe restaurant.

I would, definitely recommend this place for pastries for sure though!

The café has a cool, modern vibe with plenty of indoor seating as well as a nice outdoor patio. They were very busy on a Saturday morning. The counter staff was very matter-of-fact. Not rude, but not especially warm or welcoming either. Honestly, I got the impression she was just under a lot of stress. We also asked another staff member if we could use one of the patio umbrellas (they were all closed for some reason), and he was prompt and friendly, which we appreciated. We ordered a toasted everything bagel with cream cheese, a meat-filled empanada, a honey latte, and a cold brew. The cold brew was a little too dark for my taste, though coffee preferences are definitely subjective. Interestingly, there's a place in Albuquerque that has an almost identical flavor profile. The toasted everything bagel was very good, but it didn't come with quite enough cream cheese. The single cream cheese packet also felt a bit lackluster presentation-wise. That said, when we asked for more, the response was friendly and accommodating. The honey latte had beautiful latte art and great flavor, definitely a highlight. The empanada, filled with ground beef, green chile, and piñon, was a bit over-toasted, but the filling itself was flavorful, even if somewhat sparse. Overall, I think 35 North has a lot going for it and could easily elevate the experience with a few small improvements to consistency and customer service.
