My god, what a find!…read more A friend and I stumbled upon this store while on a two hour visit to Santa Fe on our way to Albuquerque. We loved it so much that we spent a significant amount of time in here sampling all of their balsamic vinegars. You'll feel like a kid in a candy store with all of the classy stainless steel dispensers available for you to sample at your leisure. It was so difficult to decide but I walked out of there a happy woman with a bottle of their 18 yr aged tradition balsamic vinegar (top seller) and a bottle of their, wait for it... Georgia Peach Balsamic Vinegar.. my god. As you would imagine, that vinegar is light colored, rich and sweet (just how I like my men). This place is a DEFINITE stop if you are a balsamic vinegar, olive oil and/or salt connoisseur. Prices are reasonable ($20/per bottle), considering the amount and the quality. I like to think of this place as a little slice of Europe in the middle of Santa Fe. Also, I came across this video tonight while trying to figure out if Oleaceae already had a presense on Yelp. Chile shop carries Los Chileros and so does five and dime. Los Chileros is a very authentic New Mexican brand of chili products and seasonings, they sell to almost every major New Mexican restaurant. Five and dime uses Los Chileros chili powder for their famous frito pie. It's a very complex chili. The Chile shop's brand of chili powder is so amazing too I'm thankful I bought the 1 lb bag of spice because I made beef adovada at home with that spice and oh my gosh, it literally tastes like I'm in New Mexico and boy is it hot. Very simple store with only new Mexico's best. Kind and helpful staff, very cool store for sure. My only regret is that I didn't stock up enough. Well I guess that's incentive for me to go back to Santa Fe!!

I was in Santa Fe for a field trip day of work. Once u parked, I was heading to my destination…read more But..since I had time and my eyes happened to catch their signs re: olive oil and home made ice cream..I figured I'd delay my work a bit and check this place out...and I was so glad I did! I ended up spending time browsing their high quality merchandises including some spices, balsamic vinegar and..olive oils. Man...there were so many things to sample and flavors...and I only tried a few of each that intrigued me. I got so into it that u even left my cell phone there (until someone announced out loud whose cell phone was this?!?!..oops). Anyways, I got their brochure home so I could plan on ordering and getting some items delivered for some of my friends and myself for sure...just need to decide what I wanted because there were so many things go choose from! Furthermore, what was so refreshing was their ice cream! The ice cresms were Henry's homemade ice cream (from El Paso i think) and there were so many interesting toppings ti choose from. My gluttony eyes and stomach ..after trying some samples, opted for a double scoops (because..just a single scoop wouldn't do justice to yummy treats!) of pistachio and coconut ice cream, with toppings of pomegranate dark balsamic and red chile honey. After finishing ice cream, which I totally devoured..I realized..sang u forgot to even ask for an evoo topping! Well, maybe next time I'm there! Check this place out! There are so many things check out and sample. The staff were nice and helpful. I think you can easily spend 30-45 min there browsing at the store. For me, I ended up being 45 min later than my original thought of meeting time..because I go so caught up spending time at this store checking out and trying their products!

I tried a few of each, and ended up getting a small bottle of the grilled lemon and rosé balsamics. They had some very New Mexico flavors with different chilies, and some other unique ones that I haven't seen at other oil shops. Aside from the balsamics and oils they had dried beans, olives, jams, seasonings, and spices. Customer service was very friendly and helpful, and they offer to ship out of state for visitors.

Parking is easy, plentiful and close to the entrance. Having a store like this in town is a great resource instead of needing to go a lot further for that weekly shopping or just that one item you forgot to get to make dinner or dessert. I also picked up scallions, cilantro, asparagus, a few pasilla peppers and a bottle of water. Plus one star: Total bill $4.29. Plus one star because I never have cash and they took my debit card but charged $.25. FINE with me, I love that they give me the option, I'd rather pay the fee then go find cash and many merchants don't give you the option. This place is 95% produce, so don't plan on getting your other items here, but it's fresh, very inexpensive, and the location is perfect.

Perfect combo of soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. Highly recommend. It was so good that I wish I'd bought more. I have yet to try the pumpkin empanada, so will have to update this once I've eaten that tomorrow. The panadería is not self-serve at this time, but that wasn't a problem as long as you're ok with naming or pointing at things and having an employee bag things up for you. The gentleman behind the counter was so, so kind and chatted with me or answered all my questions while packing up the pan dulce in a bag. Also, added bonus: prices here are extremely reasonable. Only gave 4 instead of 5 stars because I was hoping the concha would be a bit more moist, but it heated up well at home and was nice and squishy/soft after warming it up. Still enjoyed it!
